1521  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: August 21, 2023, 11:41:28 PM
All I know is that the man is unpredictable!!!

But seeing him buy Twitter and move from the blue bird 🐦 to the "X", I think anything to do with X is going to win Musks support...I wouldn't be surprised if we had an altcoin going by the name X or maybe "space" all in an attempt to get Elon hyped about such a project so as to get him to buy in  Roll Eyes...Other than these I don't think Musk is giving any coins some free marketing though I still think he keeps his crypto portfolio a secret to avoid giving the world a money trail 👣 hence I see him keeping his next buys a secret.

Btw, after that spaceX sell of over 300million in bitcoins, this could be a strategy to tank the markets and once the coins are discounted he will be buying again as the crypto markets are highly manipulated by the whales 🐋  in such a way and the small fish can't do jack.

1524  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit Scam. Cannot Withdraw $30,211. Being Ignored by Support. on: August 21, 2023, 05:22:56 PM
From what I have read seen on different  forums and the alike...when it comes to multi accounting,  75% of the time these casino's are never wrong to flag accounts based on multi accounting as they have the flagging techniques in place to find such users because this is their business to stop any possible promo abuse and the alike...just hope your docs haven't been stolen and used for KYC here..
Btw, use of a VPN can get your account flagged as IPs show up on other accounts hence this hurdle..but if nothing in these lines was committed then I trust Rollbit will sort this out asap! Good luck.

𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: Mason Greenwood will leave Manchester United with immediate effect 🔴⛔️
What I don't get on this issue is why haven't they utilized his services ever since he was cleared in February early this year Huh Did Utd doubt the judgment given in his case Huh

And 2weeks ago, he was rumored to comeback but unfortunately Uniteds supporters and Uniteds women team threatened that they would protest this decision,  which has seen a mutual agreement to let Greenwood leave which is a sad reading especially that Utd are in desperate need of a striker as we speak...

Tbh for his wellbeing,  his better off leaving the English space as the media and everyone in it isnt helping repair the situation,  go well GW.
1526  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should we see bitcoin as? on: August 21, 2023, 11:07:16 AM
Bitcoin the only decentralised cryptocurrency that is dependable and guaranteed return on investment which is undeniably the truth about it.
If you were an investment manager or my financial manger and you told me this asset has a guaranteed ROI..am walking out of the room as it sounds like someone saying me a dream they can not walk the talk! I know we trying to be the chief marketing personnel of bitcoin but let's factor in the risk that comes with crypto investments especially that too many factors affect its market movements and call a spade a spade! Besides, being an investor..people want to be told about the risk as the higher the risk, comes with greater rewards.

Bitcoin as a source of income or as an investment plan, which is better?
Going to go with both , though income will come out as a popular word to be used over time...so I guess this leans over to income  Wink
1527  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitget will introduce mandatory KYC from September 1st on: August 21, 2023, 09:49:25 AM
Unfortunately this is the industry standard for today's centralized exchanges especially if they are trying to operate beyond the borders where they originate from, and all this is thanks to regulatory requirements of KYC & AML...
And the worst part about exchanges today is that decentralized exchanges have lost their command because of lack of liquidity which leaves CEXs to run this show because of the liquidity and the multi coin or  blockchains they support.

Avatar size images of the artwork

I picked this one among the others because the logo and image appear to be some sort of code combination, and only the designer knows how many code combinations were added together in order to get the full image arranged that way. Looking at the image alone will leave you, the viewer, with some sort of idea of how it was done, keeping the entire process secret and anonymous. Which is also what the mixer is all about: to mix your coin and give you a totally different thing that can't be linked to your old address. I see the image as the perfect one for Sinbad, among other collections.
@Nwada001 it will be of great help if you added another entry to the vote as the podium is for 2 spots and you gave only one  Cool
1529  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Solved] Crashino.com Scam $80 winnings were not paid. on: August 20, 2023, 09:36:37 PM
Great to see such amounts being held by a bookie or casino and brought to the forum for scrutiny as this shows they are about the principle and not about the big deposits that usually see players having difficulties withdrawing after winning...

Otherwise,  great to see this misunderstanding has been resolved swiftly,  good job crashino .
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: August 20, 2023, 08:17:30 PM
Spanish league proving to be a stubborn league to predict...but from my observation 2-0, 1-1, 1-0 seem to be the most common scoreline around here, and with this insight I will be calibrating  my correct score predictions to the said numbers.

Btw, noticed that if you can get 3 correct scores and some result points you are guaranteed of a yellowcap...but unfortunately not as easy as it sounds Tongue
1531  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: August 20, 2023, 06:26:18 PM
-snip-

Real estate of course is better, that is true. However, you forgot about the high capital needed for real estate investment. Most of the time, if you intend to have a good start in this type of investment you will have to have a high capital.
Valid points brought forward...and a slight oversight on my part!

But I want to believe this question was phrased in such a way that it was asked to someone with the resources that was stack trying to make a decision on this...otherwise  if capital is to be factored in then this becomes an expensive investment and I believe I did mention it too Smiley

Moreover, the land's location is very important as this is one of the most vital factors that investors or buyers look into before buying a property. Hence, I wouldn't say it is less stressful than the other two, unless of course you hire real estate agents to do the work for you.
Good land locations translate in high cost of investment  which is the ugly side about real estate...

If our feedback comes in as votes here are my two...

In the avatar contest we were able to shortlisted 6 participants. We need to filter out and need to keep only two participants / two set of entries. We may consider your feedback in it too to filter it to two. Please let us know.

The shortlisted entries we are considering:
icalical : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5462254.msg62694351#msg62694351 (1 and 2, from the set: https://i.ibb.co/mcFM91X/1.png)
Will go for avatar 2>>> The scroll 📜  design is a must have as it has that pirate touch to it..which kind of goes with the theme of Sinbad.

#1 certainly has that upgrade touch of the first avatar flag we had when we had the old brand and I think this maintains the brand idea by design, and in the spirit
of continuity I love it  Cool

Goodluck @icalical  @PX-Z

According to African Proverb, those who have food does not know how to sit and eat... said by dog.  The next time you see a dog eat, you will understand this proverb better.
This proverb doesn't make any sense at all!! Any reference to this will be highly appreciated  Tongue

I consider it a huge privilege to have found this forum considering how much I have learnt within a short time of me being active here.
Tbh feels more like people of the same interest having a social hub to talk about cryptocurrencies and the alike...and am certain even if we hit the reset button I would still find the bitcointalk forum the same way I found it several years ago.

I registered 2021 but never paid attention to this forum as I didn't see the need because I was doing short-term trading of bitcoin only thinking that is all there was to this amazing technology.
Maybe you had this picture that the forum was limited to trading when intact its a whole marketplace with all sorts of trades and skills.
1535  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad economic situation makes bitcoins more difficult to keep. on: August 20, 2023, 03:40:12 PM
I was having a conversation with a friend, and we talked about how difficult the economy is and how it can disrupt someone's plan to hold their bitcoins without tampering with it.
In times of economic stress it's expected that resources can be spared for other activities,  investments etc and this will mean that people will actually stop saving as uncertainty is present in such a scenario.

I think this is true because if you think of how difficult things are getting, Salaries from jobs no longer sufficient to sort all needs, and profit from business seriously affected and made intangible because of the increasing cost of running a business and the rising cost of things.
On this one it's actually not only about having a bad economy, people around the world aren't relying on one salary unless it's well paying,  but even though this is the case you need to find a way to make extra cash to avoid financial stress that comes from too many bills to attend too..Btw if we look at how our Rich friends make their money, you will find that they don't depend on one stream of income and this is what people need to be adjusting to!

Holding your bitcoins has a lot to do with discipline truly, but discipline is harder to practice when you are being suffocated and suffering financially with plenty bills and responsibility to respond to. People in countries with better economy, where there are good jobs and businesses are working, Bitcoins will easier hold than for people who are in places with terrible economic situation. What do you think?
They say tough times, build tough men and if the economy is bad you have to work twice as hard to maintain a good lifestyle otherwise you could lose everything if the fight for a better living isn't doubled. As for bitcoin and hodling,  tbh this isn't for everyone especially that today's small investors want to see results tomorrow which is impossible...bitcoin is for those that don't mind the outcome and are investing in it without any pressure .

Was looking forward to see how Laura James will play against Spain after that clumsy challenge that lead to her missing the 2 games leading to the finals, thought she would have had the motivation to try win it for her country as compensation for what transpired but unfortunately it was never meant to be as Spain converted the opportunity that presented itself.

Congratulations for winning this tournament 🏆 ,  well deserved!!
1537  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies say no to Trading. on: August 20, 2023, 06:50:50 AM
The easiest way to trade Bitcoin is the basic buy and sell model by using peer2peer trading which can grow your coin stash in no time and I think this is the best!...

If this was a really fast way to increase the amount of BTC in the wallet, then everyone would only be engaged in P2P. But in fact, everything is completely different from what you write, since at any moment the price may change and you may find yourself in a position where bitcoins are sold, but you will need more stablecoins to buy them than before.
Am actually very correct about this & people haven't just developed the interest in it probably because of KYC concerns and the alike, think about it...when it comes to hodling what happens is that your coins quantity remains the same and only the value changes no matter the duration you hodl them, but with p2p your quantity of coins changes with time and value, meaning after a certain duration you get to have more coins than you started with! Hence my reason of saying it's a better choice of trading.
1538  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: August 19, 2023, 11:03:59 PM
I think all three mentioned here have their advantages and disadvantages,  take for example cryptocurrencies...crypto is a high risk high reward asset as its been for years,  but unfortunately of late ROI is too low and takes time for one to yield a decent profit if strategy is based on hodling, which very few of us have the patience for  Roll Eyes

As of the other two (Real estate or Business),  let's just say Real estate here would win of we are talking in the lines of stable income if it were a rental property,  but unfortunately this one takes a long time to recoup your invested capital unless you built in a prime location where rentals are super high.

And for the last proposal which is a Business,  this one is seasonal as far as I know and the scary part of running a business is that you are exposed to so many taxes which can be very frustrating  and running a business comes with other challenges like competition,  spoilage,  theft, government policies,  obsolete etc

With the above reasons given, I think Real estate will win this race for one's peace, better mental health and ultimately  happy life.

The part about trading that everyone hates when open trades go back where all the action started to mitigate the order block aka close the open trades ...these markets are so damn highly manipulated Roll Eyes
