Just a small update. I got a reply from them just now.

Thanks for the update.

I think it is bitsport.bet not bitsports.bet, but neither are loading. Error message 1009.

Is there really a domain suffix called .bet?!

Yes, it seems they have a Twitter account @bitsportbets and it says their domain is bitsport.bet. Last Tweet was March 14.

Thanks for the post.

Great feedback on the books. Exactly what we need.

Peeps,

Have spoken to the folks at PowerBet.io?
Where are they located?
Do you think they are on the up and up?

They may be okay but just very aggressive about penalizing professional players?

Limiting or banning players is one thing, but cancelling wagers and confiscating funds is another.

I've been in contact with them. From the contact that I've had with them, they seem to be good guys and I hope that they make it. At this time I have to respect their wishes to not publicly post some of the information that they have shared.

Their KYC rules are a negative. As you said, they penalize those that they claim to be professional.
There's no reason to jump through hoops to receive a withdrawal. There are other books that aren't going to ask for KYC information unless they winnings are substantial. The top books aren't looking to confiscate funds, they want to make sure that they are paying the right person.

Their margins are great but players should stay away from this book until they have more history and stop confiscating players funds.
1546  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion on: March 20, 2017, 08:25:48 AM
This is another time of the year where you should only play at top books. The three most popular times for books to close shop are the World Cup, Super Bowl and after the NCAA tournament.

It's best to have your funds out of lower rated books prior to the final 4.

Problems at powerbet. The fact that the player was a professional basketball should have no bearing and the player should be paid.

Hello everyone

I am new in this forum and I will try to explain my recent issue with powerbet.io

I made an account at powerbet.io almost 2 months ago and made a deposit of 0.57 BTC. Since then I played some bets (3 singles which I won and 1 parlay which I lost) and gather in total some 1.45 BTC. 10 days ago I received e-mail from them telling me that my account is flagged and asking me to submit required documents... Few days after I get this e-mail

"Hi,

We have found out that you're a professional basketball player, currently playing for KK-Vrsac-Swisslion. You also played for Metalac, OKK Beograd and other teams. According to our records, your betting activity is centered on Serbian basketball league, which is against our terms and conditions (you even bet on a game in which your team was playing). Our final resolution regarding your account will be communicated to you soon.

Kind regards,
PowerBet Support"

First thing to clarify: I WAS basketball player bu now in retirement for a year
my winning single bets were made on basketball matches in : Serbian league, Adriatic league, Serbian National Cup
Their statement "you even bet on a game in which your team was playing" was so wrong... I played for that team I placed bet on 3 years ago

After sending them links to official basketball sites where everybody can see I am no longer in any team roster, after sending them several e-mails and contacting them on this forum in order to resolve our misunderstanding I got one big nothing...

Honestly, I am not feeling like letting them take my money

Best regards

This was from poster win008 in another thread.

I began testing bitcoin gaming providers weeks ago and shortly after switched all of my action to these providers.  These guys are the future and I fully support all of them.  I currently split my action equally between what are clearly the top 3.  I believe nitrogensports.eu is the most complete sportsbook right now.  Betcoin.ag is the best all around casino, sportsbook and poker room for the entire experience and cloudbet I can place the largest size wagers and their sportsbook is just as good as the other two.  I believe it's always good to diversify your bankroll on multiple sites for a variety of reasons and nitrogesports, betcoin and cloudbet are clearly the top 3.

There is no 5 in the bitcoin sportsbook world.

Following are the scores.

nitrogensports.eu 4.2
betcoin.ag - 4.0
cloudbet - 4.0

anonibet.com - 3.5
sportsbet.io - 3.5
directbet.eu - 3.0

All of the above, I will say are great books and I believe we should support them all and help them replace the current fiat operators.  The experience is far superior and these companies are at most 4 years old, therefore each will get better over time.

Just tried to log into fairbet but it says I can not enter their site due to region restrictions.
Why is that when I can login into every other site I have tried?
They in the UK or something and only allows European/EU countries?

They ban players from the United States. Some of the anonymous bitcoin books ban players from US and/or UK but a VPN will let you in.

Anyone having similar experiences with PowerBet?
Voiding wagers?
Tiny limits?
Changing the odds on sharp bettors?

Mine have been similar to easternbloc. Their limits are small. If you try to play steam (line move at other books), they won't allow you to bet that line even though it's displayed. It takes a long time for a new line to be put up.

PowerBet does not allow U.S. players?

They accept U.S. players.

The registration Form does not include United States in the pull-down Country menu. That is usually the sign that they do not accept U.S. players.

You can sign up anonymously. No countries IPs are blocked.

Looks like that guy messed up with their tos? Personally, I have more than 60 bets with Powerbet and NONE was cancelled. Also my withdrawals were always instant. So, I'm extremely satisfied to play there, that's the reason I recommended them and i was surprised by your rating.

It nice to see your personal experiences as well as that of others. That is needed here and thanks for posting your experiences.

The ratings are stringent. The top books have been fairly clean since 2012-13. A lot of new books have gone under and many with the recipe being used by powerbet.

Hopefully there won't be any problems at powerbet and they will be a great book for us to use.

They could delete these 2 posts 2 weeks ago but they did it only today

Perhaps they are in big trouble

As i see you are an 1xbet/1xbit clone  (on markets and odds with different layout)

You cant void bets saying that the bettor is an arbitrag bettor, this is bullshit

Some traditional bookmakers tired to make such rules that arbitrage betting is not allowed ,   none of them in businnes now
And of corse if you would have  any gambling license then it wont take too long, if the bettor make a complaint to the regulator and you try to explain it you void those bets because of arbitraging

You have only the right to limit the user and if you detect he makes another account you can freeze it, if you have such rules that only one account allowed.

so you have to resettle those bets according to results

As i see  there is nothing about arbitrage betting in your tos

Which is mega lol because until now i thought you have such rules

So you have no right to void any bets saying arbitrage betting

Jetwin also using such words " for recreational players" but as I remeber they voided my bets because they were very slow to update their lines and they voided them before the match started not afterwards and not only the winner ones, so mega unfair from powerbet

For me is very recreational  to get out a lot of money from the sportsbet industry  via arbitrage betting, it is free money , very  recreational  , it is so refreshing for me Wink

Please define what means recreational for you powerbet , i am not an expert in such not common words meaning

Since we got his approval, here are just a few bets that contain clear indications of arbitrage betting (the 1st and most important is the stake value, than betting on double result - aggressive arbitrage - and - not to be ignored - the leagues the bets are placed on, which can also be a sign of arbitrage), of a rather long list:

Sc-esv Parndorf vs Ask Royal Sped Klingenbach   Asian Handicap -1.5 Stake 92.27

Arsenal Tula vs Shakhtyor Karagandy Asian Handicap -1.5 Stake 51.39

Lokomotiv Moscow vs Cska Sofia   Three Way - Cska Sofia Stake 40.04

Lokomotiv Moscow vs Cska Sofia   Three Way - Draw Stake 51.82

The list can continue with stakes such as: 15.79, 8.84, 66.18, 132.21, 36.49, 94.05, 94.85, 58.61, 40.37 and so on.

For the punter, we strongly suggest this article: http://sportsarbitrageguide.com/avoiding_bookmaker_limits.php

This is probably behavioural pattern of an arber but its not actually proof that the customer is arbing.

+1

Another question :

Did you void the winner bets only  or the loser ones too ?

Only winner bets. After last two wins my balance should have been 510 mbtc and thay updated it to 0. No details nothing and just banned me permanently.

We have this healthy habit of deleting useless "educated" (actually pure troll posts that won't change our policy against arbers) posts from random people. The arbiter complaint is there as well as our resolution to it. We consider this enough info for potential arbitrators to decide if they want to try their luck with us. As mentioned before, anyone can feel free to start their own thread about arbitrage policies of various bookies, including us of course, but please refrain yourself from posting such oppinions on our thread.

@OP, sorry for the intrusion on your thread - a very good one actually, but we felt this forum user that we quoted deserved a final reply from us. Maybe more arbitrators will finally understand that we have a strict policy against arbitrage, and we'll retroactively void arbitrage bets once deemed as such by clear indicators.

Hi powerbet,

Thanks for posting and feel free to post at any time.

The recreational bettor only clause is standard and used by most books.

As far as arbs go, are you talking in-house arbs where the player buys back the other side at powerbet to gain a profit. All bets are at powerbet? If that's the case, then you can cancel wagers.

If you are assuming that a player is an arbitrage player using powerbet with another book, then the accusation of a player being an arbitrage bettor isn't valid.

As far as the bonus goes, when a book has 100% bonus with an 8x rollover, it's going to draw many that multi-account. A book that accuses a player of multi-accounting must have air tight evidence that the player did indeed break the rules by multi-accounting.

This thread is a player protection thread. The rules that you have in place that have been invoked are for lower tiered books that should be avoided. Top books do not confiscate winnings.

You can ban a player, limit a player, but never confiscate winnings. A book that cancels winners free rolls players. The book keeps the losers and voids the winners. This isn't acceptable.
Bump for Iulius69's question on powerbet.

New to this but have been testing the top 3, NitrogenSports.eu, Betcoin.ag and Cloudbet.com for 1-2 weeks now and have not had a problem with a deposit or withdrawal or any customer service inquiry.  I will probably split my play on all three for awhile, but I am sure I am not alone in the great experience I have had on each.  This thread has been really helpful as well.

Thanks for the input and welcome here.

Bitsport opened in 2017. They seem easy to work with which is a definite plus. After more history and background, a rating will go up.
