1541  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think 1.00 BTC will worth more than $10,000.00 USD at any time in 2015? on: March 20, 2015, 04:29:38 PM
it could be a very nice result if it reaches 1.000$ another time
It will happen, but most people posting here will be long gone from Bitcoin and the forum because it will take time, and most people aren't ready to hold for long. They'll come back crying eventually tho, about how they missed the boat twice.
1542  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where do i get my btc ? on: March 20, 2015, 04:21:36 PM
I want to get my btc to play around. I tried btc-flow.com but it closed, then I heard I can get from btc-wolf.com but it does not work also  Sad
What is the most profitable legit faucet I can get btcs quickly Huh

Fast way to earn but very risky , example : btc-flow , bla bla flow, ponzi etc

Fast way and moderate risk , example : gamble or trading  Cool

Slower way but sure you will got some satoshis , example : freebitco.in, moonbit, etc

Moderate way and you will earn some bitcoin for a specific time, example : join signature campaign

Fast way but you need something that you can offer or sell , example : do you have a skill on photoshop or you can sell some goods to community

Well, that's from me

What will you choose ?  Wink

I would consider fast way "selling your skills". Selling your skills is basically working, what people do for a living is usually using their skills.. it's hard to find extra time from your job to work for bitcoins on the side.
1543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptonote: More Bitcoin Than Bitcoin on: March 20, 2015, 04:18:31 PM
It all seems great, but for some reason they are struggling to come up with a functional gui. AFAIK Monero still didn't got the gui going right?

We never messed around too much with a core GUI because there's so much as to do with the core code and core GUIs tend to become quickly antiquated (just look at Bitcoin-QT, which virtually no one uses anymore).
I do use Bitcoin-qt :p I have become so used to it, and im paranoid to use any other wallet, at least for my "main stack" of BTC so to speak. I like to have the wallet.dat file of the original client in several backups.
1544  Economy / Speculation / Re: The REAL All In Moment is Today on: March 19, 2015, 11:53:45 PM
The true moment of going all-in is RIGHT NOW.

Why might the latest pennant be such a different beast to the previous ones?

Was wondering the same. A larger, similar shaped pennant could be seen if we were still to have another capitulation event. Which would mean the all in moment would be quite a while from now.

That pennant theory is long gone.
That graph is from march 2014...
I believe he was posting that to show others have tried to use historical patterns to predict the price and have failed miserably.
Indeed, past performance doesn't predict future performance, this is very basic in trading an chart analysis, even tho there is nothing to fear with Bitcoin, it literally hasn't even begun yet.
1545  Economy / Economics / Re: EUR might drop below USD on: March 19, 2015, 11:38:50 PM
Shocking news: A bank in Spain named "Banco Madrid" has suspended any withdrawal of money of all deposits. Can anyone in there confirm?

hi, I am from Spain, but we don't have more information than you. The only new I can give you is that huge amounts of money were withdrawn before this, because some people had good information.

One more reason to use bitcoin.
Fortunately I guess you weren't affected. I've heard some guy had 700.000 in his bank and now they are only saying that they may be able to recover only 100.000 € out of these 700.000. Scary shit indeed.
1546  Economy / Economics / Re: BANK RUN: Andorran and Spain banks go bankrupt, state refused to aid depositors on: March 19, 2015, 11:35:35 PM
...

ANYONE with savings should be thinking about "preparation" of one sort or another.

Saving some assets outside of the banking system is "Job No. 1".  Bitcoin and gold are two great places to at least start.

Spain may be close to self-sufficiency, but a horrific crash in Europe would hurt Spain very much.  Spain already has a bad economy and immigration problems.

EDIT: Preparation should not be limited to people in Europe alone, everyone should be preparing to some degree.
Yeah having at least 20% of your portfolio in Bitcoin is a must these days. If you are on a good position (aka a young fella with no responsabilities and debts) you could go balls deep and say okay, let's go 100%, nothing to lose compared to everything that you can win. If I could I would go 100% in a heartbeat.
1547  Economy / Economics / Re: Sweden walking around in the dark on: March 19, 2015, 11:30:58 PM
Sweden can't go on the way they are now forever. I've heard they are giving ridiculous amounts of welfare over there. If they did this only for swedish born people it's maybe ok if they can afford it, but all that immigration will make the system collapse guaranteed.
Actually just saw a thread here in Bitcointalk.org about a swedish guy that says he's getting 1.000 USD by "doing nothing". Apprently he got diagnosed with aspergers syndrome or autism, and they give him 1.000 USD... thats amazing. The guy doesn't even seem to be that different from your typical nerdy/geek/introvert guy. In any other country he wouldn't get anything.
1548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the bad guy? on: March 19, 2015, 11:27:11 PM
Are they really made bitcoin mining villain antagonist of Bond? I find it hard to believe in. Well if that is true bitcoin will have its mass media publicity. No harm done. And as they say there is no such thing as bad publicity. I am waiting for this movie, to see what it is about, so I hope they don't screw it up.

No, it's a joke. He could've photoshopped something bitcoin related on the subtitles, though. Would have been funnier.

Too bad, if it was real this would have made great publicity for Bitcoin.

It's not a joke, I didn't photoshop anything.  Source:
https://twitter.com/Bitcoin/status/578595477073051648

Roll Eyes. The screenshot might be real but obviously he's not really mining bitcoins. That's the joke.
Yeah and its a pretty old joke I think. Actually i've seen this same screenshot months ago when the movie came out.
1549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sick of the confirmation time... on: March 19, 2015, 11:15:35 PM
People who are “sick of the confirmation time” don't understand that you can accept payments with 0 confirmations just fine.

Still it doesn't help when you want to move your funds to an exchange or some other place that doesn't allow you to use your money without multiple confirmations.
I had a number of transactions with a normal fee, that took more than an hour to confirm, which is quite annoying.
Yeah ,its a major pain in the ass moving coins to an exchange and withdrawing them. This is why day traders tend to leave their coins on the exchanges, which is a risk because of all the hacking incidents.
1550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you call it the block chain or blockchain on: March 19, 2015, 11:12:36 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto always referred to it as such:
block chain

However, I see the term "blockchain" used a lot anyways. Do you think we should use Satoshi's terminology to prevent confusion with Blockchain.info, who will usually just refer to themselves as Blockchain? Or am I worried about nothing? Tongue
Pretty interesting find that Satoshi used an space between block and chain. Personally I say blockchain because im used to blockchain.info, or Blockchain if it's the begining of a sentence lol.
1551  Economy / Speculation / Re: Try to answer the difficult questions... on: March 17, 2015, 06:52:04 PM
Eventually, we're gonna need a new currency and it's gonna, most definately, be a cryptocurrency.
Some people say Bitcoin may become the next gold standard, not necessarly replacing national currencies. In any case, Bitcoin is 100% guaranteed going to be increasingly relevant and valuable in the future.
1552  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A Blockchain Voting System on: March 17, 2015, 06:50:39 PM

I don't vote because I have lost all faith in politicians. I don't vote because all it seems to be is voting for a cheek of the same arse, or a lesser of an evil. I'm sure some of you may feel the same.

Bitcoin as money is an amazing concept and a voting system based on blockchain technology that couldn't be fiddled would be ground shaking change.

(Change you can believe in? remember that? )((Bull shit))

I would vote if I knew 100% that my vote counted. Not voting for some candidate already vetted by the establisment.

I think this is probably being worked on by someone right now, the world needs it... politics is full of liars and charlatans.

Wouldn't it be great if voting field of play was made level by cryptography?

There are things in the making, Maid an Ethereum could be an even better solution for the voting thing than the Blockchain. I would be more inclined to vote, if I knew my vote wouldn't be able to be manipulated, which is what crypto can deliver.
1553  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama Threatens War on Israel If It Attacks Iran on: March 17, 2015, 06:48:37 PM
I wonder with what kind of new crazy conspiracy theories the internet nutjobs would come up with if that were to be true.
1554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IBM Rumored to Be Developing Bitcoin Alternative on: March 17, 2015, 06:45:39 PM
As I see it IBM sees chance for some government funding to develop/run centralized cryptocurrency alternative. If their coin cannot be charged back, it could at least be used for safer Bitcoin selling
Sooner or later someone is going to try to outgame Bitcoin, what they don't know is it doesn't make sense to combat Bitcoin, only to join it.
1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is the last coin mined? on: March 17, 2015, 06:44:16 PM
Question in the title. When is the last bitcoin mined?
2140 if all things go as expected, IE we don't end up all dead in some stupid war, or something terribly unexpected happens like SHA256 being cracked (unlikely).
1556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: T-Mobile, only a promotion? on: March 17, 2015, 06:43:16 PM
Yeah it doesn't seem sustainable globably, so its for polish people only and a limited time type of stuff.
1557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Complete the sentence... [I would buy Bitcoin because..] on: March 17, 2015, 06:42:26 PM
I would buy a bitcoin because i want an alternative way to sotre my wealth that is not directly connected to the fiat system.
1558  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to say goodbye on: March 16, 2015, 03:13:43 PM
These were nice years, but unfortunately all things come to an end. It is time to say "Goodbye". I still think bitcoin is a brilliant invention which brings immense power to the masses but the human element was more agile and found ways to almost destroy it. It's wounded, but not by a security flaw, not by a design flaw, just by misuse and abuse. Nobody can tell what will happen in the future but one thing is certain: nothing goes up indefinitely and all markets are cyclic.

Bitcoin was a chance to learn on economics, markets, psychology and technology. A great ROI. I would recommend anyone here to buy whatever amount one can loose in  the next 5 minutes and put it aside until 2017-01-17, along with the same amount in USD. I am very curious which will have more value then.

Good bye.
By 2017-01-17 we'll be past ATH. I wonder if OP will be back to celebrate or he meant to say a definitive goodbye regardless Bitcoin's future.
1559  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are headed to $50 on: March 16, 2015, 03:10:44 PM
for every panic seller there is a buyer who gets cheap coins
exactly, every time price falls down drastically because people are panicking and start selling their stash, there are fat pocket buyers stationed on low price positions to take their btc out of their hands.
Whales have been buying in small quantities for 4 months.. look at the facts.. all of this while poor fellas like OP buy on the catastrophic scenarios so they sell their cheap coins.
1560  Economy / Economics / Re: USD monetary base has increased 3.5x since 2006. Why no huge inflation? on: March 16, 2015, 03:07:42 PM
With this graph you can see why USD is a scam and BTC isn't:

We all know how this is going to end.
