If you haven't already, set the fan speed manually. That seems to help stability A LOT in many cases!

Looks like it hovers around high 20's to low 30's.

The pool presently is as large as it's ever been! I see 31PH max via rewards page but there could be spikes above that which get averaged in. Best pool in town, bar none! And it's time for a block, everyone, no need to hold out to hit the high diff for the contest!!  |

So even though it runs for a while and stops it's bricked you think? Damn it I really wished I hadn't touched the firmware.
So it is actually running for a while? If it's running then you didn't brick it, but something else is going on... Can you log on to it and see the GUI? How long does it stay on before shutting off? It may be your PSU, try letting everything cool down and during a restart when it's running for a while lower the clock a bunch and see if that helps. HTH, let us know how it goes! Good luck! Yes that is exactly what it is doing! Is the GUI like the kernel log? It does hash, but then shuts down. I did a full restart yesterday. My I am wondering about the psu. But I won't have another one to test it against for a couple weeks The GUI is the User Interface where you setup the miner, put in the pool addresses, and indeed can look at the kernel log. If you are mining/hashing for a bit before it shuts down, I'd turn it on and get inside the GUI as quickly as possible and lower the clock setting by like 25% or 30% to see if it is the PSU shutting down after some time. If it stays on then you know it's the PSU and can at least mine at a lower setting until you get a better one. EDIT - You could also disconnect one of the hash boards (all the power PCIe connectors AND the data cable to the IO board) and see if it stays on with a lower load that way... |

Not so much a fix but it is in the math. Diff adjust is based on last 2016 (actually 2015 but that's a different story...) blocks so you'd have to shut down a lot for an extended time to get a dramatic drop in diff. Interesting thought, tho!  |
