1561  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to preditct coin price? on: December 13, 2017, 05:53:22 PM
Nobody is an expert in any cryptocurrency price prediction.
And to predict coins price, there is no special method or styles or technique needed to do so.
Why most people seems to be  good at predicting the price right, is because they monitor every cryptocurrency news, they stay updated and watch the market price.
So if you want to be good at it too, you too have to follow the footsteps.
Simply watching the market cap alone can tell you the direct any coin will go next.
1562  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FRAUD WARNING: Bitstamp is holding my money hostage and ignoring me for 14 days on: December 13, 2017, 05:01:03 AM
Is there any update about this now?
Because I really want to know, if there is any.
I have been hearing this kind of review about Bittrex but not with Bitstamp.Though both  exchange are good.
I feel  it could be that Bitstamp found something with your account, which is why they hold your Bitcoin.

Now I feel there is no exchange to be trusted again. The moment you feel you can trust any of them, you hear an update that makes you have a change of heart.
Please, let's  all try and learn how to avoid leaving our coins in an exchange sites to avoid stories like this.
1563  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Stabilizing At $20K on: December 12, 2017, 05:48:53 PM
$20,000 is a good price and I think it will be perfect if it stabilize in this price.
Do not bother about worring if a lot of people will not buy when the price is stable because ;back then when the price was stable, a lot of people still buys.
You will even be surprised to see that the amount of people that will buy when it is firm will be greater than the number of people that are purchasing now. Most people are not buying bitcoin now because they are patiently waiting for the price to stabilize.
This cryptocurrency is an asset and should be treated as such.
1564  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain - Account emptied overnight? on: December 12, 2017, 02:43:50 PM
Thanks Potato Chips for your reply,

Not the best news and not a total fortune lost...but it was sad to see them go. I hadn't checked my account in years and to my surprise, I had about .008 BTC in there. It was worth nothing back then and is worth about $1k today, I was so excited to follow over the last couple of weeks and now its gone again. The worst bit is I can see it sitting there at its destination

EDIT: Just so everyone knows..This all happened inside the Blockchain App, I have all the security steps set up for web access.

Oh my! Deeply sorry for your lost.
In Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency, no amount is too small cause that amount could worth millions in years to come without even topping it. So that $1k is something.
And moreover, thanks for sharing this here.
I use to hear of stories of phishing but this one is really new to me.
I thought Blockchain do info users that they don't usually sent links to their users?
Well, this warning does not implies to Blockchain users alone but to other online wallet users. We all have to be careful.
1565  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Which online wallet for bitcoin is safer? on: December 12, 2017, 08:47:03 AM
It won't be nice for you to save your entire or huge bitcoin savings in an online wallet, because you never can tell, anything can happen. We have heard numerous stories on hackers, bugs or even malwares.

To save for huge bitcoin savings, you should consider using Ledger and Trezor. They are the tops when it comes to considerable offline savings for huge bitcoins.
But if you want the online wallet for collecting and sending bitcoin. Then in my opinion, I think the best are;
https://wallet.mycelium.com and
https://Electrum.org
There have been good reviews about them. And I personally use Mycelium, good online wallet if I must say.
Both can be useful for both desktop and Android .
1566  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does dollar value affect bitcoin value? on: December 11, 2017, 08:27:03 PM
The original or traditional currency like the Dollar, Euro etc are physical money and has no absolute relationship of any kind with bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency.
So therefore the value of dollars does not affect bitcoin.

But one thing most people (including me) fear is that, the worth and the importance of dollar might be diminishing because more interest have been given to bitcoin. Even admist this fears, it is quite interesting to know that we need the dollars in order to encash our bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency.
1567  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: exchange with faucet inside on: December 11, 2017, 02:32:20 PM
For now, I think there is only Yobit, that's a exchange that has a faucet inside, guess they are promoting some coin there which its why they still exist and still strong.
Back then, there where some but they are all dead, probably as a result of Google rules.
But why would you be looking for a faucet? With the way the value of bitcoin is grow, collecting coins from faucet is indeed a waste of mobile data and or else you are collecting for Ethereum.

1569  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL bitcoin? why and why not? on: December 10, 2017, 08:48:50 PM
Holding is the best.
It's the essential secret rule for cryptocurrency trading  if you want to make your gain in a much bigger way. And when you hold, hold for considerable long time,
But bear in mind that any money you are willingly to put in it, should be money that you wouldn't be needing any time sooner.
And also bear in mind that there is always a tendency of lossing too cause you never can tell what might happen next.
1570  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Some Speculating Bitcoin To Crash? on: December 10, 2017, 08:35:52 AM
I believe that the lot of people are whom are predicting that Bitcoin will crash are those who did not invest in it when the price is high and hoping that it fall they can buy it at the cheaper rate.

And I also agree with you OP that there will be a dip and a big dip for that matter but that dip won't cause a price of  $3000 nor $4000 . The price may fall  between $7000-$10,000 and hopefully then it will be stable.
And yes, the only thing that can cause this dip will be when the USA stops the use and transaction of bitcoin.
1571  Economy / Speculation / Re: What price will make you sad? on: December 10, 2017, 01:00:31 AM
Both the buying and selling makes me sad.
Right now, I didn't have much bitcoin but I have invested in altcoins. Now when I look at my transactions history on my bitcoin wallet, I feel sad and wishing I hadn't sell the huge percentage of my bitcoins then. I guess the person I sold it then, is enjoying the benefit now. Though, I didn't sell because I wanted to sell, I sold them because I felt I needed to invest more in other cryptocurrency, which am still holding. Sometimes, I have the feeling that I might have not made the right choice but I keep hoping that my  altcoins give me the gain I hoped for because I am holding them for the future.
As for buying, with the way the price is going, I most times can't imagine taking a huge part of my savings and putting it into bitcoin because I believe it should be 'buy low, sell high'. I have my limitation for cryptocurrency investment and I do this to remain sane. Instead, I let the ones I have to grow itself out.
1572  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Bets His Manhood that BTC will reach $1 mil by 2020 on: December 09, 2017, 04:15:13 PM
John McAfee should be prepared to eat his manhood at the ending of the year 2020  Grin Grin because I am postively sure that bitcoin will not hit $1 million by then.
I don't know what made him so sure and confident of this, but I know quite well nobody knows what the price of bitcoin is or will become or else this price is been secretly targeted or manipulated by some secret investors.
Beside, if bitcoin becomes $1 million in the near future that means the USD currency is becoming useless.
1573  Economy / Economics / Re: did you know industry marijuana will be good future in cryptocurrency? on: December 09, 2017, 10:20:50 AM
On a normal not, marijuana is among the good product for good number of medicine but some users who misuse it turns it to a product which is been used with caution. It will or may be a good thing if this industry marijuana cryptocurrency is recognition but there should be a limitation and proper security scrutiny in it activities. Because if fully emerged will bring along it good effect and also bad effect. And when it emerge, the every patronizers will be traders in the dark net. By this giving it a bad impression. As we can see from the way Monero is mostly viewed by some cryptocurrency traders.

I believe most governors or presidents of countries knows why there is this law placed on the activities of marijuana, its for the citizen best interest after all.
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UK threatens to shut down BitConnect on: December 09, 2017, 05:52:22 AM
All this bitcoin Ponzi Schemes here and there claiming to be bitcoin investments. I don't really know why most people still trust Ponzi schemes even after been a victim to it.

Well, Let's wait and see if after two months they did not prove their   “cause to the contrary” as requested by  the UK Registrar of Companies, them we  know that Vitalik Buterin was right when he states then that BitConnect is running a ponzi scheme.
I hope the UK takes every measures and make sure participants money are been return to them when they closes the company.
1575  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Hedge Fund Manager Just Said Bitcoin $400,000 Is Easy on: December 08, 2017, 11:39:08 PM
$400,000? Are you kidding me? This is an overestimation  Roll Eyes.
If he had said $100,000. Then I can agree to it but saying $400,000 looks like been overzealous.
We have indeed seen the drastic change in the value  and price of bitcoin over the years and 2017 has been the major year which has taken much effect. But we can't be so conclusive for the year 2018. It may not have this same significant change that happened in 2017.
In as much as Bitcoin is taking all the attention now don't be surprise if the whole attention will be towards other altcoin in year 2018. So $400,000 is unrealistic.
1576  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Transfer My Entire Savings to Cryptocurrencies? on: December 08, 2017, 07:32:44 PM
Please, in all sincerity, do not ever make the mistake of putting all your life savings into cryptocurrency so you don't go back to begging in the street.
You said that all your savings are into stock, its good though but it also risky too.
So my advice,  is for you to divide your savings into 50%-50% or 60%- 40% . you can chose any part for either Stock and the other for cryptocurrency. (I will recommend 60% into cryptocurrency and the other 40% into stock, that is if you dont want to go for 50%-50%).
It might be surprising that you might even see your gain in cryptocurrency before you see your stock gain.
And again, please don't store your coins in an exchange site
there is always a probability of getting hacked. Instead do a cold storage in a USB  drive which is not connected to an Internet. You can look up the step by step procedures in Google.
1577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BTC? on: December 08, 2017, 03:17:26 PM
That is one of  the disadvantages of the increase in bitcoin price. A lot of people  whom are not bouyant enough can't purchase this coin and by this leaving it for the rich or wealthy people.
I suggest that if you have the money, you can purchase it but if you don't you can purchase a few amount of it. And hope to get your gain from it.
But if you intend to wait for the price to reduce in order to purchase it; then I don't think this will happen. With the high price in bitcoin, I don't imagine it going so low in price.
1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of IOTA ? on: December 08, 2017, 10:17:52 AM
Can anyone link to some measured and informed articles written about IOTA? It seems it's worth researching because it could be the next Ethereum, worth investing a lot in, or could just fizzle out in a while.  The total supply is in the billions and $4 would really be the top if there isn't serious potential. I have heard some bad things about how they handled mistakes in their code, parts of the network is centralized but that is only at the beginning to keep it secure. The microsoft deal was spread as a partnership but may just be that microsoft is going to have a meeting with the iota developers. Is there any certainty they will develop smart contracts on the iota chain. If so it could actually contend with Ethereum.

I was also skeptical about this coin IOTA before,  I never took it serious because I thought it will need up like most upcoming altcoin. But now, it seems like most cryptocurrency news are mentioning it.
Here is a link I found, it could help you also; https://www.google.com.ng/amp/s/www.thesun.co.uk/money/5078469/iota-price-how-to-buy-cryptocurrency-bitcoin/amp/

And I suggest that if you want to invest, you should wait and do so after December 14th. I read that most top tech companies like Microsoft, Samsung, Fujitus and other popular ones invested in it which is what caused the high  toppings. So Dec.14th will reveal if its worth investing on or not.
1579  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the the Big Short coming? on: December 08, 2017, 05:12:23 AM
Most bankers in some countries who are bouyant enough do not even know the worth or value of bitcoin. I remember long time ago, a banker told me that bitcoin is part of a ponzi scheme; can you imagine...
And moreover, I don't think you have to be a banker before you can start buying a ton of bitcoin or sort of.
If you have the money you can start buying now though and hold as long as you intend to. The only thing is that, as you hold that long, just be patient and hope that the price keeps multiplying  and not going back.Thats when you get your mega profit.
1580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most promising cryptocurrency on: December 07, 2017, 10:29:58 PM
We might wait for at least one year to see which one is the most promising apart from bitcoin. Because most coins are new.

I so much agree to this, and I see your point.
There are so many new coins that are emerging now, and its all getting more confusing in choosing a particular one to invest in.
Waiting For a year or even two years to see the improvement of the coin before investing will show the strength of that coin for surviving among other coins and also shows how dedicated the developers are.
But one negative thing there is that, if you monitor that long, the chance of buying a good coin at a lower price will just pass you by.
