1601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?! on: November 28, 2017, 10:48:00 PM
I believe you have your reasons for purcahsing those particular coins because I truly presume that you might have monitored them greatly and know their worth before buying them. So I am in no position to judge or blame you.
Though I have never gave it a thought to buy either Digibyte & Stratis nor Siacoin but I believe they might still grow like the popular bitcoin.

My opinion is for you to hold on to it for some time but not too long. As you hold on, find another means to purchase either bitcoin or etherum which I think is better.
While holding, if you feel you can't hold onto it anyone, sell them and purchase etherum or either bitcoin which still have visible better future.

1603  Economy / Economics / Re: impacts off cryptocurrency on: November 28, 2017, 06:16:43 AM
If cryptocurrency will have a great good impact on a country; I will say that 'no or its not much'.
But if it will have a good impact on individual's life, i will say, 'yes it will'.

Why cryptocurrency will not impact in some countries is  that some countries alreay rejects this coin without even wanting to know its potentiality to the country. They don't see it as an asset that if invested on will better the lives of the citizens. Instead they see it as a hidden ponzi scheme that is been set up by an unknown person, reason why banned it in their countries. Even the lack of improved technology contributes to this.

But for some individuals like you and I who know about this great assest ; we grab the opportunity and want to make the best out of it because we know it's worth.
1604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between DeepOnion and Monero on: November 27, 2017, 04:16:16 PM
There are not much difference  between the two, they are both an anonymous cryptocurrency or coin as you already know.
DeepOnion is  merged with the TOR network while Monero was lauched by a user in this forum known as "thankful-for-today" and it is based on an underlying protocol known as 'CrytoNote'.

The visible difference between them is the transaction size in which DeepOnion are very smaller when compared to Monero.
Here are few links that will enlighten you about them;

1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum at $1000 in Jan 2018? on: November 27, 2017, 01:13:07 PM
Well, we can't say for now.
Though, it started out low like bitcoin but it didn't hit that mega point as some investors expected. So we pratically can't say. The price may shot up to $500 -$700 and not to the extended of $1000.
Moreover, 2018 is just around the corner.

But just like I keep telling people, Ethereum is the promising coin, I see great advantage in it. So buy as much as you can now that the price is low.
1606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: looking for honest advices on: November 27, 2017, 08:57:05 AM
Good day people of bitcointalk,
You see, i am still very new in the crypto world. And really do not know a lot yet.

I am thinking of investing on pre-ICOs. Yes, i know ICOs are very risky. But it also can give great rewards. So all in all, i think it is a pretty great gamble.

That is why i am asking you guys, if i had $50-100 dollar range of investing fund. What is the best ICO that i should invest it in today?

Thanks and good day.

Do your own research. Don't let anyone else tell you what to invest in because they are probably biased and have vested interest in the project and thus, overly optimistic about a project that may not be as good as they make it sound.

There are several ICO tracker sites out there. You can definitely utilise them with your research.

With only $50-100 investing, my suggestion is to go a bit risky. Don't hesistate when you see an opportunity since it's such a small amount to lose.

I really concur to this.
OP, I will hind to this advice if i were you.
If you expect  anyone to come out and vividly pinpoint a particular ICO as been the best, then you may loss because one man's loss may be your gain and likewise the opposite. Yes, there are scam ICOs out there and there  are also good ones too. Just seek and monitor it, then invest.
And apart from checking from most ICO tracker sites, this forum is also a good way to start from to. There are many good ICOs that are listed on this forum. Do check them out. And if possible ,split that money into two ICOs to avoid too much risks.
1607  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Forbidden Fruit: Selling BTC(and altcoin) on EBAY AHMG on: November 27, 2017, 04:17:53 AM
It is a bad idea trying to buy bitcoin on ebay. A lot of people have been scammed big time in that platform when trying to buy bitcoin. It is way too risky, reason been that you are not protected and anybody can auction anything in ebay, with fake sells background.

Why not try the bitcoin selling platform like localbitcoin, paxful or even some exchange sites like gemini, coinmama and so.
I must add, if you intend buying from localbitcoin or paxful, please be extremely careful , check for feedbacks, a lot of people are also scamming people there.

1608  Economy / Economics / Re: pros and cons of bitcoin vs USD as global currency on: November 26, 2017, 05:10:03 PM
In as much that I don't really support  the idea of bitcoin been a global currency because I think it can never be for some certain reason.
Though, just like that there is advantages and disadvantages in everything so there is in bitcoin too if it becomes a gobal currency .

To make it simple, it advantage include ;
1) The bitcoin currency is not own by anyone, it is decentralized.this is it unique feature.
2) Since it is a vitrual currency, we don't need bank or rules and regulations when trying to withdraw or use it.

Having said it, its disadvantages is more numerous and deep than it advantage.
1) we may think it is decentralized but as soon as it becomes a currency watch as greedy politicians dive into it with greediness and this making it centralized.
2) there will be too much holding.
3) it will become scares which means alot of people will practically be poor for ever.
4) Most countries which are not technologically improved will be downgraded and stagnacy.

There are alot of disadvantages, unlike the USD. bitcoin is beautiful if it remains an assets as it is.
1609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your perspective of Altcoins? on: November 26, 2017, 12:32:06 PM
I won't say they are all scams, most new coin that are existing now are genuine while some are not. Moreover it's a good thing that some of them are emerging; the good advantage of cryptocurrency or altcoin  is the act of been free to emerge a new one.

If we all have and depends on some certain altcoins; they become scares, highly costly to have (which is the case of bitcoin) and excessive holding. So its a free world, lets embrace it.
1610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience and Holding on: November 26, 2017, 05:38:37 AM
To make it big in any business, one has to have enough patience to allow it grow and yearn profit. Anyone who don't have patience in business isn't fit for it and this same goes for cryptocurrency.

The main reason why people fear when holding cryptocurrency for a long time is because they put all their money in it at once. Which it is wise to only half you money in it and half your money in other business.

Having put all their money in it, they will keep on checking it to know if it has grow or not and at the slightest hesitation, they withdraw it out which causes no profit. So don't make this mistake  just learn to invest and chill for the profit.
1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: November 25, 2017, 09:28:42 PM
nothing is 100% and that's the fun thing about investing, there's no 100% guarantee that you'll succeed and profit in the end. Just do the research, consult with other people before investing anywhere, that's my suggestion of everything.

Exactly, i agree more to this, its quite difficult to say any business investment or cryptocurrency investment is 100% safe to invest in not to talk ICOs.

OP, you should know that every ICO is a business investment and every business investment has it own risk.
It is best for you to CRITICALLY research about the ICO of interest you have in mind. After that, do not just invest immediately, you need to monitor it for some time then you can then invest in it. You never can tell, that ICO might be the next big thing just like bitcoin.
1612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin crash is imminent on: November 04, 2017, 11:47:36 AM
Bitcoin bull run is nearing its end, the steam is running out. Altcoins will rally after the fallout is all said and done.

BTC price at post $7,288

Bitcoin is having all her attention now, soon it will be Altcoins turn to boom. But the truth is, with the way bitcoin is running higher one might be forced to withdraw all their Altcoin and place the bid on Bitcoin; I was in this dilemma before.
I had to give it a deep thought before leaving my Altcoin back .
If you are in this same dilemma as me; don't worry people, soon it will be our turn to have our gain when Altcoin starts booming with high prices.
1613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: November 04, 2017, 02:22:02 AM
is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? anyhow this money sits in the bank and do nothing for!

It is not only risky but it is highly risky to do so in bitcoin and any crypto coin. In cryptocurrency business or investment, it is best to do business considering the probability in it.
Before putting all your money in it, you should ask yourself these questions;

1) what if I didn't gain much from my investment?
2) What if  my wallet was hacked and all my coins was stolen?
3) Can I really wait for long as the price of bitcoin to receive my profit? (This is because the price of bitcoin might not grow as expected)

1614  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: October 26, 2017, 02:07:11 PM
Sweden is contemplating to stop using cash by 2023, does this mean cash might be extinct if other countries follow suit?

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/10/sweden-could-stop-using-cash-by-2023?utm_content=buffer40bef&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

In my own opinion, I really think this will make no sense. A country that want to practices paperless cash policy is just cutting herself away from other related matter with other country.
Believe it or not, money is used in form of trade by barter; if you give me a goods or a services, I pay you for it.
Moreover, 2023 may seems far, but its really closer than we thought. Not all countries are fully developed with high technology or so. If Sweden want to practices this policy then they are just gonna product for themselves only without exporting to other countries.

So guys, I believe this news is just a speculations, let's wait and see the next move.

1616  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What will happen if technology had never been created? on: October 18, 2017, 08:26:18 PM
What do you think of our planet if no technologies evolved? and created by man? think wider.

I know this questions are ask to all of us but I ask you think wider and harder.

If there was no technology, believe me the world would have been a better place. Filled with peace, calmness, pure, humanity, without terrorists and co.
The beginning of technology has it good side and bad side, and I must say, that the bad side has taken so much effect on nature and mankind.
A lot of people might say that a world without technology will be boring and dumb, but I will like to tell you that we can adapt. Because people who lived before us without technology did adapt and they lived without fear and this is to state that ' too much of something can kill' and so it is to technology.
1617  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: October 13, 2017, 09:37:38 AM
I had some inner feeling, that bitcoin and crypto generally is not suitable for kids yet..kids should had different interests than mining difficulty, finance models, PGP and inflation..Smiley

Same here too...I agree with you.
It could be to risky to involve kids to any cryptocurreny generally.
They may misuses it features and let alone would not function well as a normal growing kids.
I mean kids are kids, they should be allowed to grow as one and not be jam-parked with things that some adults are yet to  understand. Not even every adults that deal with cryptocurrency have a full knowledge of what it entails.
When the kids come of a better age, they will pick interest in it if need maybe.
1618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid ICO scam on: October 13, 2017, 08:20:39 AM
I thınk you can't avoid scam ICO's if it is in your faith Cheesy because they can look legit and after six months past of their ico they can say we are done we can't deliver this product because of this because of that bla bla.. You can protect this situation with blockchain or nothing else. If you are not a risky person you need to go on with BTC LTC and Eth or really good proven altcoins.

'If it is your faith' hahaha..funny you
But I can agree with though, if its really ones faith to always encounter scam ICO then its inevitable. One just have to be very careful..
But I don't understand what you mean that you can protect this by blockchain? How do you mean?
1619  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Scam or legit on: October 11, 2017, 10:55:09 AM
I am pretty new to bitcoin and have basically been using faucet sites to get started.
I know faucets are slow and labourious but at least they are giving me an insite into how bitcoin works
Cloud mining is something that i am seeing advertised a lot.
People will say it is a scam
Some people will say it is not a scam I know that

I would just like everyones opinion on it if that is ok

So is cloud mining a scam yes or no

Reasons why appreciated

Many Thanks

OP, I was once in your shoe.
When I first started with bitcoin, I did  quite a lot of faucet, viewing ad and so sort of others things.
Then I saw cloud mining and I thought it was the deal and better than faucet, guess what, I was cheated!
I paid but wasn't evening receiving the profit of what I paid for, it will take you months to recover your normal payments not to talk of the normal profits. There will be a time that they stop paying and they will expect you to upgrade..(another scam).
My opinion OP is that they are not worth it, though you might find good ones but it will b quite hard.
