There are other wallets that don't download the blockchain like Electrum.

You could always get a online wallet like blockchain.info. That doesn't download the bc either.

Nothing good will come of this. Just go through the regular channels.
15623  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i have 16 bitcoins what should i do with them? on: February 01, 2014, 10:35:01 AM
Sell them on mt.gox. Jk. I'd keep them, but maybe you need some money. If you do, sell a handful and keep the rest where they are.
15624  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: just to let you know. on: February 01, 2014, 10:33:05 AM
I think this bro is mad. And Bitcoin is no game, but maybe some people try to play it.

Hello.

Thank you for having me here.  I have been in the process of developing a coin and an exchange.

I believe crypto is the wave of the future.  Now I just need to be sure I understand all of the regulations here in the USA.

Christian Alexander

Well if you're going to operate an exchange I'd get some legal advice. You'll need to co-operate with AML laws if you dead with cash. I'm not sure there are any regulations on creating an actual coin though.
15626  Other / Off-topic / Re: Someone should upload the bitcoin blockchain torrent here? on: February 01, 2014, 10:28:40 AM

15628  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.02 BTC return 0.03 in 2-3 days on: January 31, 2014, 09:53:27 PM
yup, I'm sure, we have been buddies for more than 3 years. He wouldn't lie to me and his other friends for 20$ and he asked more than 10 friends to chip in on the deal. He's found a guy in his neighbourhood, who is a great web designer and developer.  Smiley

Ah, ok. Sometimes people might be unaware that they're getting scammed, especially if you pay a dev online, but if you now him in real life that's a plus.
15629  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bittylicious - UK Bitcoins using Bank Transfers on: January 31, 2014, 09:48:30 PM
I uploaded my docs earlier and they were just verified. I can now buy 3.3BTC  Cheesy.

It also depends on when you made your first trade (and subsequent trades). We'll increase the limits more if you're a longstanding, and non-idle user.

Ah, good to know, but 3+ will be enough for me now any way, but I'll probably be buying a few coins for friends I've got interested in soon.
15630  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.02 BTC return 0.03 in 2-3 days on: January 31, 2014, 09:36:27 PM
I'm investing.  Smiley He doesn't have the money to give to the developer and asks all of his friends to invest some money in his new idea and we will share equally the profit.

0.02 isn't very much. You sure this isn't a scam? How well do you know the guy?
15631  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Xbox 360 Slim on: January 31, 2014, 09:30:57 PM
Works 110%

Wat?  Grin.

And I'd just stick to BTC and avoid paypal on here. Chargebacks are rife.

I'm sure they can put those coins to good use even if this doesn't pass. They've already made a tidy profit regardless.

15634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][MAX] MaxCoin on: January 31, 2014, 09:16:22 PM
I'd laugh if it was pre-mined. Keiser is such a troll.
15635  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bittylicious - UK Bitcoins using Bank Transfers on: January 31, 2014, 09:14:53 PM
What's the max number of Bitcoins you can buy if you upload all the documents required?

It's one point something Bitcoins at the moment. This figure varies a lot, and gets reset every 48 hours (halfed every 24 hours).

I uploaded my docs earlier and they were just verified. I can now buy 3.3BTC  Cheesy.
15636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (My opinion) The Coin Creation Phase has ended... on: January 31, 2014, 08:03:57 PM
I still think iCoin can be huge just based on it's name, it will be interesting to see where iCoin goes, it really just has the best name for a virtual currency.

Guess a name is all a coin needs really.
15637  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2014-01-30 Bloomberg - Bitcoin Needs Tighter Rules Than Banks, Say Prosecutors on: January 31, 2014, 07:54:42 PM
Since when do the banks and banksters play by the rules anyway?
