That Samantha comment is funny lol

Hehe, one of my favourite lines from Bruno:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vekK9MhwJsQ

I'm tempted to post my picture and blow my identity, but that wouldn't be the Satoshi way Tongue

Cracks me up everytime.

Why don't you wear an Anonymous mask? Or maybe a Mr Natterjacky one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vaFf-6WQeU

There is a man, Daddy. I can't believe that it is from 2003, time flies. Maybe I'll put a pic of myself taken in an Anonymous mask with a Borat mankini with a little Bitcoin logo on the the end haha.

People would probably pay to see that. Will you put a tiny top hat on too?
16622  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Overview of Signature-Ad Campaigns on: January 20, 2014, 09:00:37 PM
PrimeDice probably the best..

if you post a lot at least, there are good campaigns for not so active posters as 0.015BTC and stuff, but if you're really active PrimeDice is the best, I think Smiley

Even if you’re not that active it's still the best as long as you do 50 posts.
16623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Suggestion on: January 20, 2014, 08:55:15 PM
Hey all, what is the most recommended wallet for bitcoin? I've heard it's not good to store your bitcoin in online wallets as you risk losing what you store there.

I've also seen the main bitcoin wallet, but it seems like it takes a while to download everything before you can use it? But is it the safest?

Are there others that would be just as good?

Sorry for such a basic question, and if this isn't in the right forum section. I have a lot to learn yet. Lol

You can lose your coins whether online offline or on your computer if you're not careful. Blockchain.info is very safe and especially a good starting point for beginners. Just make sure you set up all the security features it has.

You can download a wallet that doesn't download the blockhain if you want a quicker/smaller wallet like Electrum: https://electrum.org/

16625  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you sell at? on: January 20, 2014, 08:42:12 PM
Changing the rules of my post, I'd like two in this situation, one to keep and one to cash out. Of course, I'd love hundreds...

If the price kept rising and rising then I would never, ever cash out, not until it got silly and I could live off the Bitcoin lol.

Lol, yeah. Although everyone knows we're all gong to be rich next year. Hold on to your hat, and your Bitcoin!

The thing is, if we know that then why aren't we buying more? I think to myself sometimes, here I am positive that it will grow yet I remain cautious and don't invest anymore.

Why? I guess because I want to get them at a cheaper rate - don't we all! Tongue

Well it's the uncertainty / risk. It's harder and more riskier to invest and make money on coins that are around $1000 when they were less than $100, but I'm sure if the coins become worth 10k each we'll all be saying I knew I should've bought more at x  Grin
16626  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: MakeBTC.org Pyramid Scheme on: January 20, 2014, 08:29:27 PM
The payments come from the operator, and yes, there is certainly a chance that he can just pack up the site and hold onto the wallet for himself.  But, if he's getting steady new users there's no benefit to doing so.  His greed fuels the profit of others.

How do you know that you will definitely get paid out if you reach that level 4 and the money just wont stop there? As long as there's suckers that keep paying in it doesn't really matter and he doesn't even need to disappear. Wouldn't it be a better gamble just gambling with your money other ways? The vast majority of the times these are just straight-up scams and everybody loses out except the operator.

How do you know an Exchange (Cryptsy, BTC-E, Coinex) won't just shut its doors and take all of the money... you don't.  I've been on the site for 3 days and have been paid every day, that's a better track record than most of the similar operations out there right now.  They also have completely transparent logging so you can see every registration, deposit, and payout.

Reputable exchanges are a little bit different from a pyramid scheme/scam. And a good scam will rope you along offering payouts at less than what you've put in until they get the big money.
16627  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS 3 BTC at Preev rate on: January 20, 2014, 08:26:18 PM
I am looking to sell around 3 btc at the preev rate first time selling a large amount looking for advice.

What method can not be charge backed and is fast either instantly or by next day.
How safe am I selling on local bitcoins compared to just getting any trusted escrow here?
I just really don't wanna get scammed any recommendations would be appreciated.

Don’t use Paypal and use a trusted escrow: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108716.0

16631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie post test on: January 20, 2014, 07:59:30 PM
I see, but I don't understand why Sad

and why can't we just post new threads not regarding that it's archived?

Think you can only start new ones with a poll. Don't know whether it's a bug or not.

16633  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.8BTC/month just by posting! - Advertise for PrimeDice.com! *Updated on: January 20, 2014, 07:28:05 PM
Starting posts: 96
Bitcoin address: 11yNuDb6XsaytiPBtSniBjVZ51VBUUHdB

You need 50 activity to start.

EDIT: Due to the great number of complaints about spam bots, we will be restricting the next round (Jan 17th onwards) to users with 50+ activity. Any posts you make while you are under 50 activity will not contribute to your total.

Sorry about that I thought it meant a post count of 50.

How do I increase the activity level other than posting or being online?

You get max 14 activity every two week period, so 28 a month. Details of activity can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0

16638  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people think income tax is ok? on: January 20, 2014, 07:18:17 PM
How so, bro? I find it ironic that the only people who usually peddle this big bad government / taxes are bad have little-to-no understanding of economics or the cost of the services they provide. They are more efficient, yes. I also don't know how you expect people to afford or have the time to pay for all these services that they may or may not use.

As for how people will pay - well, not paying a quarter of their wage in tax would be a start...

The poor pay little-to-nothing in taxes and that's who will get shafted the most here, but even the people who pay minimal tax would be bankrupt and completely destitute if they had to start paying for the roads and the bins and healthcare and medication and police etc. Good luck finding charities to help people who have nothing especially with no state to support them.

16640  Other / Off-topic / Re: What other ways do you use to make money online? on: January 20, 2014, 07:09:04 PM
I used to invest my money in those HYIP sites and money cycler sites, but it's not risk-free, and I ended up losing money more than than earning or making profit from it. So newbies should not really try it because they may end up being scammed, because they are all Ponzi schemes. So now I just concentrate on writing articles and on other task-oriented sites, but I'm currently looking at how to earn passive money from those pay per download sites.

Pay per download sites? You mean like the commission you get from filehosting sites etc?
