Syntaks started an official thread. But I guess everyone has different tolerance limits for the kind of troll center our alt-coin section has become, so he closed the thread and never returned. I wouldn't blame him. He tried. A moderated thread can do, but most people don't like moderated ANN threads, they start accusing the OP for hitler edits when in fact they're the ones trolling.

This thread is god enough for NEOS discussion and we need to keep posting updates here, so that everyone can have more exposure to this coin and the potential it has got.
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin. Secure, private, untraceable since 2012 on: October 04, 2014, 04:21:48 PM
I have no problem with Monero, in fact I own some XMR.

I just want to keep Monero discussion on Monero thread and BCN discussion on BCN thread.
1584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin. Secure, private, untraceable since 2012 on: October 04, 2014, 04:11:18 PM
Monero

It is charming you think Monero is so important that you keep bringing it up on the BCN thread, but perhaps we could stick to discussing BCN here?

If only he stayed on the BCN thread with his compadres...

And as a known Moanero shill, troll and FUDster perhaps you could stick to one of your three hundred vacuous moanero threads......

To support a non-scam coin like Monero is a badge of honor.

The pool needs some tweaking!!

Are you kidding? You still mining this shit?
1586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BTCtalkcoin [TALK] - Pure POS - Multipool Ready! - AirDrop Has Arrived on: October 04, 2014, 10:10:57 AM
Are there any working exchanges for this coin?

Watching this for further development

Terms:

   --snipp-

Additional Terms: Constructive posts, No negative trust, no other advertisements allowed,
Your FortuneJack ad must be on the first line of your signature.

From the OP , is a bit confusing

no other advertisements allowed,
It means no other adv. allow

But

Your FortuneJack ad must be on the first line of your signature
That's mean you must allow to put our signature at the first line.
Then you allow to promote other advertisements at second line

CMIIW

I'm sure the rule wasn't there few days ago. When I signed up, I read the terms carefully and the only rule was to have FJ sig in first line.
Looks like the rule was added in recent times, since the OP seems to be edited.

1590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your top 5 altcoins - in order? on: October 02, 2014, 07:00:40 PM
I posted in this thread few months back, but now my selection has changed, so I'll post a new list:

1. NEOS
2. MINT
3. DRK
4. XMR
5. BCN
1591  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [FREE Giveaway] Get 1 Year free VPN License Key on: October 02, 2014, 06:16:18 PM
OP has been online many times, but never replied to this thread.

I think he is just trolling, he does not have any keys left.
1592  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst Movies You Have Ever Watched on: October 01, 2014, 12:35:59 PM
Cowboys vs Zombies is hands down the worst movie I've ever seen.. shoddy sets.. it's like Prince Valium from Spaceballs trying to play a cowboy

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2930828/
This? Has it been released yet?

Or you're talking about 'Cowboys Vs Aliens' that featured Daniel Craig?
1593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sph-sgminer: multi-coin multi-algorithm GPU miner | added MaruCoin on: October 01, 2014, 12:32:39 PM
OP or moderator, just lock this thread already.

FYI: this thread is a dead-end.

shm is not anymore actively involved in sph-sgminer development (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.msg6731253#msg6731253)

sph-sgminer is not being developed anymore

sph-sgminer has been merged with the new sgminer_v5: please take a look at this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=632503.0

I do believe that you can consider this thread closed.
1594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crazy world. Bitcoin down, Doge Up on: October 01, 2014, 12:27:19 PM
DOGE block reward is halving? What from 1 trillion per minute to 500 million per minute?

Get rid of those things as fast as you can. If you have less then a quintillion of those things you have the equivalent of a penny.

Exactly.

And IIRC, DOGE supply is still uncapped, unlimited? If that's the case it does not matter if block reward halves or not. Unlimited supply can only have inflation, no deflation.

BTW, here is the countdown:

Received 0.02 BTC, thanks!
1596  Economy / Service Discussion / 1 Satoshi Deposits with Label "Blockchain accounts hacked" on: October 01, 2014, 12:14:26 PM
A few minutes ago my Bitcoin address received 2 small deposits (1 satoshi each).

I am aware of the 'satoshi spam' where many sites just spam random addresses with small deposits to advertise.
But this address was labeled "Blockchain accounts hacked"

https://blockchain.info/address/16JLbXYe5xmxGNX8hiqooyTUJnhitNNqTh

Is there any substance to this? Are any Blockchain accounts really hacked or it is just FUD?
1597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crazy world. Bitcoin down, Doge Up on: October 01, 2014, 12:06:54 PM
Will this point to increase some other alt? Any toughs on that?

Other alts will have no relation to DOGE price movement, because it is tied to block reward halving, which has nothing to do with other alts.

But if you follow all alt threads closely, you can notice upcoming positive news and you can plan accordingly.
Right now NEOS coin (google it) is on its way to substantial increase in price, so it is a good time to buy. There are a couple of threads here for NEOS.
1598  Other / Meta / Re: What's wrong with this forum? on: October 01, 2014, 10:27:54 AM
If you mouse-over the post's timestamp, it will tell you the time and date of the last edit (if there was one).

I can't seem to reproduce this.
When I hover over one of my posts (which has been edited indeed), nothing happens.
1599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crazy world. Bitcoin down, Doge Up on: October 01, 2014, 10:23:29 AM
DOGE is up, but not sure where you got the 500% number. In last one month it is 300% at most.

This is due to the block reward halving approaching. Within next 2 days, the block reward will halve, so it makes DOGE a good buy right now. Buy now, sell a week later.
There is still time, once the halving is complete, it should reach 150 satoshi+ from my point of view.
1600  Economy / Speculation / Re: Explanation of why Bitcoin price is falling. on: October 01, 2014, 10:16:12 AM
But remember that, in the vast majority of cases, your coins are converted to fiat currency on-the-fly, because fiat currency is what the merchant wants to receive. That is a sell order that pulls the value of Bitcoin down.

^^  This essentially is the real driver. Merchants are accepting Bitcoins through exchanges like coinbase. Rather than Bitcoins going directly to merchants, they're converted to fiat and the merchant is paid in fiat only.

It has been discussed in detail here:
