So you allow BTC > NXT, or BTC > XCP as giving you access to all the market assets. But Nxt has to stay 'trapped' because you won't accept Nxt > BTC, or Nxt > XCP or even Nxt > [Hidden BTC] > any other crypto to buy assets? But you will allow the same when talking about BTC. Is this hypocrisy or just being disingenuous? Nothing needs refuting. If crypto x has a BTC pair, then there is no reason you can't claim it has all the options available to it as BTC does so your definition makes the whole discussion pointless. Any claim for one crypto can be made for all. BTC has nothing in the same category as Nxt's Asset Exchange, except maybe Nxt's Asset Exchange  If you want to make Bitcoin appear great by piggy backing on the backs of the alts it hates so much, be my guest. But you know this isn't what NZMiner meant when he said BTC had no decentralized exchange. It doesn't. Only in the sense that "BTC can be exchanged for everything so has access to every asset" you are trying on might it stick. But any crypto with a BTC pair can make the same claim. The fact is Nxt AE is in a category of it's own right now, even supported by BTC when it is piggy backing on top of it. Very well put! |

seeing that nxt is top right now. how fast do you think ethereum will catch up once they release in march 2015 supposedly? they do have a good following too and bigger it seems.
The question is what will Ethereum be able to do that NXT already cant, (especially by the time Ethereum launches) We too have to consider that NXT will have had almost a two year head start. |

Wasnt trying to FUD, I redeemed my stake, i didnt realise that they still existed when redeemed, i thought they got "burned" when i sent them to that address! lol BTW... Why was it a different address than the issuing address that we had to send the stakes to for redemption? UtopianFuture left after issuing the original stakes, so everything was transferred to accounts we control (was my understanding). In a way, you have to admit that it is awesome that UP didn't just run away with everything, but instead worked to transfer everything to the core team. OK, that makes sense, that was something i was concerned about initially but i thought that he handed the account over to someone else, but i guess he would have still had access so that seems logical to start a new account. |
