Actually, I never gave attention to that board. I knew it exists but didn't bother reading stuff because the format of how everyone posts (with the date and title) seems uninteresting and spammy to me. Now that I actually read some stuff in there, it seems like a perfect mini-tech blog for me. As long as the user mentioned is concerned, if they're wearing a signature, they definitely need to get kicked out of their campaign. No doubt they're trying to get traffic on their medium page for whatever reasons by spamming links on the forum.

That looks like a very impressive game with the 3d graphics and all! Seems like also this game would be very skill-based somewhat like COD? What operating systems are you planning to target? The only issue that concerns me, in the long run, is the bots. What if the bots spawned are of a very high level and it's almost impossible for the new players to win the game? House will be on the win-win side.

So what does the accusation imply? One should stop using the MailJet service? Or the hackers are from the MailJet team? I don't think any of the above proofs are sufficient to conclude anything.
Maybe they're using MailJet because their security isn't as strong as Google's or Mailchimp's? For instance, no IP block or restrictions on mass email generation? Also, just taking a look at their service, they seem to provide mass email generation for marketing purposes which definitely allows for spamming I suppose. Maybe MailJet allows them to stay anonymous?

The thread introduction looks very promising with stuff like "Five layers of security" and "Redis Caching". Do you actually provide all of that or it's just hype? Could you possibly elaborate on the additional layers of security you provide maybe have a blog post above it? I might use your server depending on the answer.

Sorry, those are very small amounts for me. Bump and a small notice: If anyone contacts you on telegram claiming to be me, ask them to send you a message on bitcointalk from my forum account. If they can't, that's just not me and you are being targeted to scam. My telegram username isn't publicly available (AFIAK) and I would personally message you my telegram handle if I want to trade with you.

|
I'll tell you why -
Bitcoin price peeks always make it to the news, newspapers, or generally on the online media sources or social networks. This gets attention from the masses who want to invest in bitcoin or think it is the right time to make a move to get into crypto. They, the newcomers, usually fall victims to such silly scams because they got introduced to cryptos in the bull-run and they believe whatever they read online.

After running 4 years on Bitcoin blockchain, Chain-Bet.com has been re-written to run on Litecoin blockchain. It is a game that asks a simple question: What would be last digit of the block hash that includes your transaction? Players guess last digit of the block hash and bet on that. If the guess is correct, player gets back 16 times of the bet amount. As a promotional offer after our re-launch, the game is now operating at 0% House Edge. That's very nice but if you look at the profit margins you'd have, I doubt you even need a house edge in the first place. Unlike other typical gambling sites, you offer x16 profits for all the bets I reckon. Logically, in every bet placed, you as the house have more chances of winning, or let's say you will win on every bet, unlike the gamblers who would win only some rounds or maybe just a couple of them. Anyway, I don't think reducing your house edge should matter or change your numbers in terms of the customers.

The historical data could be useful but don't the common trading platforms/exchanges have the ability to show the historical data? Their customers can use that feature instead of needing another tool correct?
On your tool, I guess it does the job but very slow and laggy. Click events take time to update and the render on-screen update are also very slow. Basically, the UI responds very poorly to user interactions. You need to use some framework like React/Vue to handle UI properly.

Just make it illegal to sell accounts,
Illegal? Doubt forum has any official jurisdiction that considers anything legal or illegal... Anything that is considered illegal here is the same stuff considered illegal in real laws. Regarding the proposal to reset airdropped merit partially, this seems like a bit too drastic of a measure in order to stop something as account sale ( maybe I'm naive/ignorant on the matter but I don't think that's happening on a mass scale) and might affect those that don't have anything to do with shady business but just decided to take longer hiatus from forum.
Exactly! Doesn't make sense to punish a few because of the few causing a nuisance. It's the same as banning newbies from creating threads because some of them are only spam links or currency exchange scam threads.

Thanks for sharing it with us. I am facing the same issue, someone annoying me with a similar telegram username of mine. Even I have written a note in my profile, but I have received a couple of messages that imposter succeeds to scam. Although there is no fault for me, but I feel bad. I have also created a few warning threads as well to prevent that imposter.
No worries man! That's good to know. One possible solution could be sharing telegram only with the users privately instead of having it on the profile because it becomes easier to copy the telegram handle and create a similar one. I'm still brainstorming a better way to handle this. OP, are you saying it's the "Brainboss" part of the telegram handle that's making you think he's impersonating CryptopreneurBrainboss? I wouldn't have assumed someone with the handle @PedroBrainboss would be trying to impersonate CBB. I don't even know the significance of "Brainboss" is, though I'm curious.
Oh not just that, their username on telegram is also CryptopreneurBrainboss. They linked me to the original forum account of CryptopreneurBrainboss when asked who they are on the forum. They linked me to the real CryptopreneurBrainboss's forum account's trust page too. So clearly a case of impersonation.

All the bitcoin and crypto discord servers seem to be dead. It would be nice if there was an official discord server and the mods made an effort to make it active.
Why? Isn't spam on this forum enough of a job for the mods to deal with? Can you explain what benefits a discord server will provide that this forum doesn't? There isn't one (there actually is ) and doubt there is a need for another one to be created especially by the mods. They put in enough "efforts" to keep this forum clean.

Good stuff. Found it very easy to navigate around, everything is well presented and easy to follow. I couldn't understand one thing while setting different options on the timeline, the rate or the prices kept fluctuating what does that imply? The price of that asset is changed while I'm setting up my trade or it's a bug? You should consider adding an option to save or download the trade strategies for reference. Maybe that's something you can offer once there's an option for a user-signup? Regardless, good work!

It seems like the actual problem here would be solved, like many of the forums problems, by eliminating signatures. No signatures, greatly reduced incentive to spam, no need to have bots deleting suspected spam.
I don't think so. Most of the campaign managers (at least nowadays) have a minimum post character requirement and stuff like "Thank You", "Thank you for organizing this " doesn't get paid for. So if someone is actually doing it, it means it's either out of their will to genuinely thank someone or they belong to a campaign that is poorly managed. So the problem boils down to not eliminating signatures but eliminating bad managers who run the campaign.

We consider to add cryptocurrencies without doubt and support it by offering some high discounts on games that won't damage our business. But I have no idea what Blockchain has to do with gaming, that's why I asked here, if anyone has some idea cause I often see threads where word blockchain is included almost everywhere but that's a lure in most cases, we don't want that. You can't see the UI at the moment, apologize.
You can integrate Blockchain or Cryptos at any stage or process of your project. A simple example would be, simply accepting cryptos at your gaming lounge where they can buy food, drinks, hookah without any fiat money. Have a BTC ATM or an exchange service at the lounge that helps to convert cryptos into your local currencies or vice versa. You could literally add and integrate them however you like.

This dude messaged me on telegram to exchange his PP for my BTC pretending to be CryptopreneurBrainboss. Their telegram handles are so similar so one might easily get confused. Real owner's telegram : @PedroBrainbossScammers telegram : @PedrosBrainbossObviously, I asked them to sign a message or send me a PM from their Bitcointalk account and they couldn't. I wasted a good bit of his time but scams like these are easy to fall for if you're not an experienced member on bitcointalk. I don't have any other information except the address they sent me to send BTC which is 1NbBLr334JAA5Nou5qmfsPF9kdB53PPNDp I didn't get scammed but just putting it out here so others can be safe. Always cross-verify things and DO NOT ever send first without an escrow unless you trust the other party in your trade.

|
|
Interesting. As ralle14 has given a justification, I wonder how did you come up with this post and the transaction link? Was someone pretending to be them? Or you're simply bullshitting your way around accusing reputed members? It would be nicer if you also included relevant proofs in your reports otherwise they're as useful as your quoted post.
|
|
|
There is nothing else I can do to reverse the transaction, am I right? Nope. Consider your money gone. Why would you deal with newbies without any feedback or reputation on the forum? You could have used an escrow? Sorry for your loss but you shouldn't be sending money first to random strangers on the internet. I left him a negative rating and supported your flag. Seems like you're not the first person he scammed here.

I've been here since 2015 and I feel stupid how it didn't occur to me before or maybe the current events or over-sensitive millennials make this question relevant.
I wouldn't care if someone posts racist comments against me or expect people to get butthurt over the racist comments on the forum. However, since racism is becoming such an "issue" (to a point where GitHub wants to replace the master-slave branch structure) do you think there should be a set of rules governing the same on bitcointalk?
If yes, to what extent?
Calling someone a "Pajeet, Habibi, curry muncher, white trash, etc" in a post should be allowed or frowned upon? Let me know your thoughts on this.
