Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: All Crypto assets stolen from Exodus - Anything I can do?
|

Your problem is the Gmail account that you used. One of my friends lost 4 weeks of income from his Ethereum mining, because someone hacked his Gmail account and then changed his password for his local exchange. These webmail services are the weak link in the chain.
What the fuck does that have anything to do with OP's case ? You sure it's the gmail account ? How did the hacker take his Exodus password ? By running a theft across his memory lane ? If you do not enable 2FA for everything you do on these services, then you are opening yourself up to hacks like this. I am very sorry to hear about your loss. You could contact your webmail provider to try and trace the computers IP address, but most of these hackers will remote to other computers that they hacked to do this. So you would be re-directed to the computer that they hacked.
Did you even cared reading the entire thread ? Just so you know, they had 2fa and their phone number was hacked.Tell him something that he doesn't know already. OP,best bet is to post the addresses money were sent to in this thread and keep a track of wherever the money is moved.Pretty sure it will hit some exchange at some point of time and then you can contact the exchange to freeze those funds by presenting your case.

I can not even enter airdrop it looks like until i am of a certain level. I literally replied awesome after someone answered my question on here and it was deleted.
This rule is not set by the forum.Forum has nothing to do with additional rules introduced by the 3rd party services. There is no censorship here. Posts are deleted because they broke the rules, that usually due to being off-topic or just having no value.
I disagree with you.It is not direct censorship but adds restrictions to express one's opinion. The post might be of no value to you or the mods but that doesn't make it completely invaluable.Having said that, this is a private forum and users must comply with the rules while using the service so deleting posts which are against the rules is totally okay.

Hi like in the subject i'm looking for vps services that accept btc and are good for cpu mining.
I would like to recommend this service which I have been using actively without any issues : https://www.vpsserver.com/ They are reliable and support is more than good. They accept bitcoins through BitPay which is quite a hassle if you don't use a wallet which support exporting addresses out of links. Also they don't charge you after buying the service, you will billed after your first months cycle.

first of all, i really like this forum and think it is really great. but, i have a suggestion. as the title says, why not making a tutorial section for bitcoins and altcoins?
Most of the tutorials will have redundant stuff copied from other blogs with the titles like "Tutorial - How to sign wallet from blockchain.info" "Tutorial - How to get your BCH from Coinomi" "Tutorial - How to send bitcoins from Coinbase" Not exactly but something along those lines. From the quality of users we have on the forum there would hardly any tutorial showing how to do complicated stuff like "Running a Full-Node on your CentOs/Kali Linux" there people can post tutorials, to make it for newbies easier to join the crypto world. maybe how the software works, how to update it and so on or tutorials for altcoin platforms.
There are n number of courses offered on udemy and other blogs.Newbies can certainly use them as a reference.

Last Friday COINMAN1 asked me to wait 3 days until he's able to properly respond because of personal issues. I've tagged him now
Would have been better if you could tagged him at the earliest.Considering if it was someone with dark green trust, they could use these 3 days as a buffer time to scam more members.Since the feedback can always be revised,it doesn't really make a difference. That account was involved in various shady activities in the past.Even if he replies and has substantial amount of proof he is not guilty, the feedback should stay as a warning.

Okay who of you has already uploaded an ID Selfie VIDEO somewhere ?
Not anyone I remember.Did the ask you to do that ? Maybe the proofs you provided didn't seem genuine ? What's the problem in taking a selfie video if you already trusted them with a selfie image ? I understand this can get real frustrating but to filter out the scammers, such measures are indeed necessary.

Is this true? Asked for KYC just for $100? It is just so strange especially if you made it with your own deposit. As I remember they are sister site of sportsbet.io (if it is not wrong), but I have never been asked for KYC at sposrtbet.io when I withdraw more than $1000 (I did it few weeks ago).
They wouldn't ask you for anything since you're here on bitcointalk for a long time.Their primary scam targets are the newbies.I have never seen a high ranked member on bitcointalk ever open a scam accusation against them.Since you're a regular player there, what's your stance on their lotteries, raffles and leaderboard ? Previous accusations clearly show they have known for manipulation the contests/raffles but adding their shill accounts.I wonder why you still continue to play there known they're run by a scam agency.

Seems like the site is yet again experiencing a DDOS attack. Difficulties accessing the site are to be expected - not much you can do here. The forum, while stable, drags like a dying horse on my end. didn't realise this was a pun until I finished writing it out
Stop horsing around If it's not that (e.g. user / account related access), then provide more information since "user can't access to bitcoin forum" isn't exactly helpful in pinpointing account issues.
You probably guessed it right. They might be unable to open the website due to sever connectivity issues as the Ddos continues to overload the server.I'm surprised cloudflaire isn't helping much. Not sure if theymos is using a Load balancer.Forum still loads very slow for me and takes a few seconds to open threads with substantial amount of content.

One day I was a believer (and I still am in BTC) but it are the malicious exchanges and the people who run them that are responsible for its downfall. So we got goxed, kraked and darksided,
You're right.Malicious exchanges are the reason people tend to lose their money and that has nothing to with bitcoin. You are solely responsible for your loss as it has been said repeatedly to not trust exchanges with amounts you can't afford to lose! Take care of yourself as crying over spilled milk doesn't help.

Honestly,ICO/Bounty related stuff shouldn't be considered as a valid scam accusation.I mean you're not losing anything but your precious time you wasted on trusting a bunch of strangers on the internet. You take a big risk by participating in the bounties which are 1.Not escrowed 2.Managed by a reputed bounty manager

As for as you keep all the ICO related information away from the website, there are more chances you will have mature readers. It's good to explore new technologies and show how blockchain is utilised to decentralise something but bringing ICO's into the picture ruins it all.People like me,who are fond of reading technical stuff are usually pushed away if they come across "ICO's and Token" news.

where can i find a company that can provide me a Custom Trading Exchange with Full Source Code?
I wanna have an exchange, i have a budget of $30.000 for software . Do you think i should i go to an Ico to collect more money? Or this amount is enough to get a local exchange crypto/crypto something like Binance.
$30.000 just for the advertising. Forget the running costs. Mind elaborating the running costs since you seem to know a lot about them ? Not sure if you guys are cheated by some rookie developers or you have that high standards of living which permits paying $30000 as running costs for a website.Being someone who has worked with exactly similar kind of market,$30000 will just do fine for everything else but marketing.

You think manipulating the market should not be considered as a scam ? Well,it depends how many people are affected and if people are losing money due to the fake numbers. In our case, cmc is exactly doing the same.I would leave the decision of calling them a scam/not-scam to you but they certainly shouldn't be trusted anymore.Better yet, stop visiting their website.

Sorry dude but I have to disagree with you here, can you tell me the difference between a person asking you to pay him $10 to send you positive trust and what this user is doing and if he didn't see the point I was making why did he delete my post and lock his thread after that?
He is asking the Gift Card Sellers to send him a working gift card which will prove (to a certain extent) that the seller is someone who has gift cards and not a bullshitter.A good first step to be honest.Would you rather prefer someone having a gift card posting there or someone who doesn't even know what a gift card is ? I agree the concerned person is making profit out of each vouch but can you think of a better way ? To me there is nothing right about that and with all the ratings on his trust wall it's obvious the user is not to be trusted since 2014.
Like I said, his list is not to be trusted.

I don't think anything is wrong with this approach.I just think it's not efficient enough.Any scammer for the heck of verification will send him a legit $30 gift card.Scammers will just use that $30 verification method to scam much higher amounts.
The conclusion is,that list is not to be trusted.

It would be easy enough to disable the cursor over the button via css (cursor: not-allowed;) while the timer is running.
Wait..a second..Don't want to coach you with the HTML/CSS basics but adding cursor : not-allowed just adds that cross icon overlay on hover of the button and doesn't actually disable the button. To disable the button,an additional attribute "disabled" should be added to the button tag programatically. Like so <button type="button" disabled>Claim</button> Sorry Lutpin, you know I'm not a fan of posting such stuff in the official threads.I hope you'll forgive me.

How far are we from getting all such ICO tracker apps banned from the play-stores ? Medium/Facebook/Twitter have already taken steps to ban ICO/Crypto related repetitive blogs/pages.I don't think it would take too much time for Google/Apple to throw such apps from the market. Just so you know, every other day a similar "portfolio app" is posted here.Creativity, where the fuck are you

Other / Meta / Re: DT1 users may be artificially increasing their own trust (Updated March 26th)
|
on: March 26, 2018, 12:08:14 PM

This is horrible advice. Being in the DefaultTrust network means you will influence others as to if certain members can be trusted with money, including sockpuppets that may or may not be public.
I disagree.Considering how members are selected does matter. For instance, The Pharmacist was added to the DT because they actively tag scammers/spammers which somehow adds to spam reduction. They can certainly be trusted with their tagging skills but not with the money as they don't have a history of doing so.Having said that,I'm not sure where you picked that definition of being on the DT from but atleast in 2018 it does not mean a DT member should be blindly trusted with money unless of course they have had records of doing it successfully. Not to mention but MasterP's case is quite evident. If you are in the Default Trust network, your "sponsor" should be able to trust you with an absolute minimum of 6 figures (USD) at the drop of a hat, however $1-2 million would be much more ideal.
What ? That is absolutely wrong.Speaking practically, you mean only people who can afford millions are added on the default trust ?
