All you'll want to know, and some you won't, here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1291890.0

It's in the Mining Hardware section

Been running a week at ~75% max hash rate (for electrical $$ reasons really, not the PSU) and so far all is well.  Got less than 0.0001% HW and seems fine.
Guess I'll keep it.
YMMV

Just sent 0.05 donation to kano-san, if I were to "accidentally" come across -ck's not so widely published btc addy I'd probably feel compelled to do the same!  Cheesy
Great work guys, and it's Block Friday so let's get busy making block popcorn! Grin

Edit-got it from the blocktrail, enjoy -ck another 0.05 coming your way

Waking up to another multi-block party! Love seeing all those blocks confirming up to payday!  Grin

Ha ha! After last night's grumbling coming from some of the kano ckpool unfaithful, I wakeup to see not only is the 300+% block cracked but two more came along for the ride to give us yet another Triple Block Party!!! Cool

I'm coming up on 2 whole months at this pool and the increase in hash has been amazing. I can just imagine what's been seen here the past year. Shocked
Continued success to kano ckpool and its loyal, ragtag group of maniacs!

Keep calm and mine on.

Whoa now, easy guys...
Very dangerous using terms like "feels like" when dealing with the cold, hard mathematics of stochastic calculations and statistical variance.  Emotions and feelings have no place in probability functions, and unless you can show some extreme statistical anomalies that could be outside of expected values I'd tone down the conspiracy talk a notch!  Get WAY too much of that kind of talk here on the forums with zero correlated data.

Besides, -ck and kano-san are always on the case making sure all is on the up and up for their pool.  As I always say...

Keep calm and mine on.
1611  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Running s7 units on power supplys on: February 02, 2016, 01:41:17 AM
Also, the s7 has 3 blades with 3 PCIe inputs on each for 9 total needed for the blades.  Plus one more for the controller/IO board combo (not powered by the blades as the s5 was...)

I bought a lepa 1600W unit.  It does have 6 output plugs for the 4 30A 12V rails, but as long as you watch what's going where so you don't overload one of the rails it _should_ be all right.  I say should since I've UC'd by s7 by about 25% to keep from running up the electrical too much, at the cost of total hash, I know, but it should be even more efficient than .25W/GHs.

Need to measure that one of these days...!  Grin

GAME ON! Who's to be the lucky one? Let's find out...  Grin

Hi jeremy, welcome!  You picked a good time, it's less than 5 hours to GAME ON for February's Avalon6 contest.
Good luck to all, this pool rocks!

Keep calm and mine on

Pool time is UTC, so for me on the west coast of the U.S. it's game on at 4pm sunday!!

It's a block party weekend!!  Canaan the barbarian killing another block, many thanks!
1616  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Lepa G1600W PSU for Antminer S7 - Can't power it on ! Bounty 0.05 BTC on: January 30, 2016, 05:54:28 AM
Ok, got it up running and so far it is stable. I am running UC at 543 instead of stock 700 so there's a drop in power need there for sure.  Looking at how the lepa has 6 output sockets assigned to 4 30A rails is a bit strange and if I wasn't running UC I'd wonder if this unit could handle it based on how the rails are, obviously, doubled up on some of the outputs...

Probably going to return this rube Goldberg designed psu and go with a better unit.  But so far it's running ok, no smoke or any bad smells (yet)!!
1617  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [13 PH] ** 5x AVALON6 GIVEAWAY ** Kano CKPool (kano.is) [0.9% PPLNS] US,DE,SG,JP on: January 30, 2016, 02:59:20 AM
It's alive! New IO board for my new S7 that got smoked 3 weeks ago (too embarrassing to get into...!) is installed and initial testing shows all is well!!  F'in hell those fans are frazy loud! Got various, quiet ones I used on my soon to be sold S5 that are gong to be tested for efficacy and volume asap...  Wife won't like the constant jet engine blowing from the guest room!
More hash already pointed here, and more coming as I ramp up the boards and clock rate to optimize my power consumption. Can't run the S7 flat out, at least not yet, for electrical $$ concerns.

Keep calm and mine on!
