1601  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How safe are crypto wallets?? on: June 28, 2022, 10:22:04 PM
This is have been discussed so many times and it was clear to see that the safety of your wallets depends on you as a holder. It is to note that online wallets are prone to hacking but offline wallets have also no excuse if YOU as the owner/holders are deemed careless to handle it. So, no matter what type of wallet you used, it is either an offline or online wallet, you can't just ignore the possibility that one day you will get hacked. That is why making a split and storing your crypto in different wallets is advisable, especially if you hold a huge amount of BItcoin or crypto assets just to prevent from losing it all in a single attack.
1602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: June 28, 2022, 12:41:03 PM
A lot of rumors spreading in the boxing world that these two will fight this October. Hopefully it is true.

Well since the rumored fight date is Oct, 29th 2022 let's wait till Floyd Mayweather gives a date other than this one. \

What does Mayweather have to do with this fight? Sorry, I don't follow, is he one of the promoters of this fight?

I also believe that Crawford will win this fight, there's no way the fight will end on the judges' scorecards, one should be KO here or TKO.
1603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 28, 2022, 12:17:15 PM
It looks like Clippers will be pretty aggressive this 2022 free agency. Apart from Wall, they are targeting to add a few more:

Sources: John Wall, Rockets agree to contract buyout; Clippers likely to sign 5-time All-Star in free agency

^ Probably not a bad move if they could get them for cheap. Question now is who are they going to let go to free up the roster for the new guys? I hope the management don't break the core of this team. I think they only need one or two additions before they could challenge for the championship again.

Honestly, the Clippers' performance last season surprised me as they were able to reach the play-in tournament even without their key players. So I agree with you that the Clippers shouldn't change their roster too much, although it's clear that the signing of John Wall would make them much better, and they would have a chance to contend for the title again. Of course, that will only be possible if George and Leonard are healthy and Wall performs as well as he did before.

PG wasn't healthy last season but the Clippers are still winning games, now, if John Wall will join Leonard and PG, I think they will improve especially int he playoffs. I like to see John Wall again doing his thing, because he can lead a team and I hope he will blend well with the two superstars.
1604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH gas fees are low....A great time to get in? on: June 27, 2022, 10:55:02 PM
It seems that the persistent bear market drastically reduced ETH's network congestion. Gas fees have been ranging as low as 17 Gwei to 30 Gwei on average.
I'm curious where you got this data from. Can you share? I checked etherscan and ethgasnow for comparison and they are giving me over 40 gwei for the lowest priority and it even went up to as high as 70 gwei. That doesn't look like bear market changed anything.

What does eth gas price have anything to do with your decision to buy eth for investment purposes? It's not like you are going to trade a couple of times and spend a dollar worth for each transaction.
I think that was just a short gas fee reduction and it surge back right after having another network congestion. It usually happens when there is a spike in the transactions and this is similar to Bitcoin. We can be lucky if we got the cheap trx fees by now as it was surely last only for a few minutes.
But, this was not the reason to stop and ignore the chance as to whether the gas fee will reduce or not, this will not affect the potential of Ethereum.
1605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Swapping Bitcoin for "stablecoin": Smart move or disloyalty? on: June 27, 2022, 10:14:28 PM
Bitcoin is freedom and it still provides freedom at any time, and it's also not a trap that you have to be trapped in to use it. After all, the main purpose of bitcoin is a means of payment, holding is just an external reason created by the community which is oriented towards price rather than function.

No loyalty needed.
Ohh, that's for real. We don't need to be loyal, we did it just for the purpose.
Yes, holding won't help promote Bitcoin as a form of currency but we indeed helping it to consider as a form of investment. That may be for some reason they have no other option like in the countries where crypto is not accepted they leave no choice but to convert it into USDT.
@OP, do what you think is right, it was your money, it was your Bitcoin. May you can convert some of it to stablecoins, that perhaps still no wrong with that in fact, many holders do.
1606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: June 27, 2022, 12:01:58 PM
Yes, but he can't get out Davis out of his mouth, hehehe,

Ryan Garcia To Gervonta Davis: I Will Whoop Your Ass, Put You To Sleep!.

Not a good sign though if he keeps on talking about the next boxer he wants to fight because he still have someone in front of him next month. So he better not skip and be over confident against Fortuna because a loss will mean that all of his dream and big money fights are not going to happen because he will be back to zero again.
You got that right, this kid needs to focus on what's in front of him first. What's in his imagination might not happen if he keeps on underestimating Javier Fortuna.
It would be acceptable if his last fight was a TKO to say it would be a short night for Fortuna, but it's not. After that change of head trainer to Goossen his last game against Tagoe was a UD.
Let's see, it's easy to talk trash but you should have the power to back it up.
Was it July 19 or 16? Title says 19 but I am seeing 16.

it's very exciting to see if they will finally meet each other in the ring. Garcia needs to win first, should be a knockout win so the fight between Davis will be hype if that would happen. I think it will be a 50/50 fight, though we can criticize Garcia we have to admit he is still good and he has really the power to put someone asleep.
1607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 27, 2022, 11:38:59 AM
But it seems he looks very fresh in the Murata fight and won the fight hands down, but Canelo was slow at 175 lbs. But we can't say if this is going to be GGG's last fight. Boxers tend to fight just one last fight before they hang up their gloves for real.

GGG received lots of open shots by Murata in the early rounds. That is supposed to be an easy dodge for GGG but still, Murata is able to connect lots of it.

If those punches are much strong, GGG might end up being knocked out. We really see that GGG is now showing signs of slowing down but still, his durability is still strong. I just hope those punches that GGG receives by Murata won't happen here against Canelo. GGG should not allow again being a punching bag at early rounds as Canelo is different from Murata.

It's risky to receive early blows on the early rounds as he might not recover like what he did against Murata.

After this second fight with Canelo, he fought Sergiy Derevyanchenko, then Kamil Szeremeta you can say that argument that he was also hit more than in this fight specially Derevyanchenko but he managed to win by UD and then against Murata although we seen hm take more punches again still he won that fight via TKO. So GGG still holds a better chin that I don't think that even Canelo can break it down.

And again, you can also used your argument against Canelo here, he was hit with volumes by Bivol, a true LHW and with power, does it mean he has been soften up?

Both fighters are good at absorbing those solid punches. They've been tested by many fights from their early careers, the two early fights

ends up with decisions, these two fighters are not willing to fall down, both have strong chin and they know how to use the advantage to

Continue facing their opponent even they've been hit many times. We can only conclude who's going to win after the announcer calls the

name of the winner.

That's why no one would go down because they can absorb the punches thrown against each other, GGG might be older but he still has the stamina to absorb and throw strong punches, so Canelo has to be careful as GGG here is very eager to win to at least win the last possible fight.
1608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA draft on: June 24, 2022, 05:22:42 AM
Jabari Smith is one of the basketball players I'm most curious about in this draft and who I think has the highest potential. I think he's a good choice for the Houston Rockets.
The team will be more successful this year, the contribution of its young and quality players will be very valuable Smiley
I don't expect a lot of contribution from a rookie, we never know if they can carry their talent in the NBA. And also, the Rockets are still in the rebuilding stage, so success won't come so easy, they need to create good chemistry first, and it seemed like Christian Wood will be traded.

1609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 24, 2022, 04:48:07 AM
Magsayo by KO/TKO or Vargas by Unanimous/Split decision

^ That's the most likely result of the fight that I can see. Magsayo would likely invest in the body early on (like chopping a tree) before going for the chin. Vargas to try to keep his distance and outbox him (possible KO win too if he catches Mark with a clean counter).

Another factor to consider in this fight is Magsayo's faster recovery time because of his youth. He might get hit and hit by Vargas but he could absorb/endure more.

I love to see the odds on that, I would choose Magsayo by KO if the odds are attractive. I also have a feeling that if Magsayo will win, it will not reach 12 rounds, so odds for 1-3 or 4-6 rounds for Magsayo is also worth betting IMO.

Looks like odds are already available, but not the full market yet.

1610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best time to buy or wait a little bit ? on: June 23, 2022, 11:00:15 PM

It's a good idea actually, you don't have to put everything in the market at once. You buy in small portions so that either way the market goes you are always doing good, i feel 11k might feel somewhat low but it actually is a good place to buy bitcoin for medium or long term. Feel you can buy some 15% around 13k mark and leave the rest of 10% to buy at around 11k. So that you don't lose out on bitcoin going below 15k because below that region any point might be point of no return.
Buying Bitcoin in small portions is a smart idea. Though I wasn't thinking that the market will even drop more reaching $10k, as usual, we couldn't ignore the possibility of it and better ready and have some spare money to buy if ever it comes.

I already bought some BTC as the price reached back to $19k, quite enough for now. I don't put everything just to be ready when it falls again. Thus, if we are into the plan to invest, we'd rather take a decision now, we can't afford to miss the chance of buying at a deducted price. We don't know what happen next, who knows today is the last drop that ever made this bear season.
1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ethereum Dominance on: June 23, 2022, 10:26:14 PM
The fight between Bitcoin and Ethereum dominance is very interesting to follow and we all know Bitcoin has always dominated the cryptocurrency market and for now it looks like Ethereum is getting closer to Bitcoin and Ethereum Supply will deflation decrease -2% a year after The Merge proof of stake later. Will a new king of the cryptocurrency market willcome?
If you have seen their big difference and appreciate those things, you can never say that these two well-known coins are in the fight to which who would take the #1 spot or dominate the entire market. I'd come to see that they have different purposes and we don't use Supply and market capitalization as our basis, as even if it happens that ETH will surpass BTC (which is impossible), ETH is still an altcoin.

We don't think it hard, nothing will replace Bitcoin - that was the truth.
1612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 23, 2022, 11:15:46 AM
^^ Chin doesn't change though, your styles will evolved, but your chin doesn't. Just look at Amir Khan, he has known to be have a china chin and it didn't improved even if he is trained by famed coach Roach back in the days. They say they did train his neck, but we've seen that he still have that chin that when anyone touches he will go down or knock out. So if Magsayo landed on his chin perfectly and with good power, he might go down for good.

Amir Khan probably has the weakest chin among boxers who became champions. That was his weakness so his journey now has probably ended despite the fact that he has not announced his retirement yet. Well, Magsayo has to be quick and has a good strategy to set up Vargas well to see an open looks for a solid punch, I'm looking forward to that.
1613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 23, 2022, 10:23:18 AM
Rumors of Bradley Beal declining his $36.4 million Wizard's contract option. Money wise he should take the money but if he wants a real shot at the championships then he can reject it and look for better teams. But maybe another decent team will offer him a good amount of money for a longer.
I guess these keys players like him are starting to realize that it's not just all about the contract but also getting in a team that has a caliber to take the ring.

Hell yeah, this is a big money and it's already a good amount for the contract that he wants to sign. But I guess that offer will remain there until he finally accepts it or find a better deal from the other teams with good teammates.

We all know that a player who wants to win a ring does not have much chance in a team like the Washington Wizards. Bradley Beal is a good basketball player, but $36 million is a lot of money. In this case, it will not be easy to make a decision.
I hope he goes to a team he can be happy with and has a better year ahead. He is now a basketball player approaching the age of 30 Smiley

He knows what he is doing, if he wants to win a championship, then he should look for another team to play. Wizards is not a championship team, ye, he will earn a decent amount but staying in a team that has no chance to win a championship maybe something Beal does not want to do.

Playing with a legit superstars, that's probably what he is looking for, so if Lakers will acquire him, they need to let Westbrook go.

Another Superstar inside Lakers, even after they will let Westbrook go, there's no assurance that Beal will be a good reinforcement for them,

Star-studded line up in terms of papers, but when they are already inside the court, there's no chemistry among them. They need players who can

help or surround LeBron with or without AD. Though we don't know if what can be the impact if Beal will be acquired, let's wait for more updates

regarding to this possible trade.

I think they will improve because Beal does provide good offense compared to Westbrook. He attacks consistently on his outside shooting, unlike Westbrook. Lebron will still be the leader of the team, if Beal will play with Lebron effectively, then we might see good chemistry in the team that will be built.

Davis has to be healthy, he has been very fragile, he cannot afford to get injured again in the next season as for sure, the management will decide to trade him.
1614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: June 22, 2022, 11:41:27 PM
Watching the current market and the demise of ALL crypto ... is this the end for certain coins?

Nothing special with the altcoins - we are certainly be seeing them more affected when there is a market crash. I'd presume that you are aware of this condition then I think you don't need to get surprised and even wonder about the big changes. But there is one thing I'm sure of, this is not a long-term correction as the market will soon recover, we just have to encourage ourselves to wait rather than be worried about it.
1615  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do real traders care about bear & bull market? on: June 22, 2022, 11:14:44 PM
Day traders or not, we all end up being a trader but I agree with what he said that there's always the opportunity whether the market is bearish or bulls.
I think it's just all about pride in what he said when he mentioned "real traders". And there's nothing wrong calling all of those brave traders to be real and have been trading no matter what the season is.
I'm also uncertain to see real traders making a good profit during the bear season. Well, the volatility of the market gives them a chance to earn some but quite hard when we just only see more on dump compared to pump. But I don't think their pride pushes them to continue doing this as what I see is that they know somehow that there is a chance. They are not looking at the negative side or the possible losses but rather thinking negatively despite the inevitable market situation.
1616  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price suddenly dropped from $ 31K on: June 22, 2022, 11:37:35 AM
A few days ago there was a storm that made the price of Bitcoin Dip and once touched $ 17K, although we could return to $ 21K, but today we deserve to be vigilant because the storm waves are not over, if the price of dropping below $ 20k then I will switch to stable coins to avoid greater losses.

Exactly, it's not over yet, looks like bitcoin is going down $20k below again. It's not surprising though because we are still in the bear market, so the bear dominance is quite very obvious now, we have to make the right decision now and trust its success in the future.

If you are a day trader, well, be careful because we might lose more if we think it will bounce back anytime soon, I think we have not seen the lowest this year yet.

You do the right TA when you are a day trader, if you want long term investment, not much effort needed, unless you panic on the current market situation, so if you are not, just relax and HODL.

Will bitcoin hit $10k this year?
Unlikely bro but not impossible.
1617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 22, 2022, 11:00:25 AM

Lakers management needs to review all the possibilities before signing or trading anyone,

the league is no longer the same super team is not composed of paper players but those role players which mostly undrafted
or just come out from nowhere but provide decent performances.

In terms of trading Davis, it's wise for the team to let him go while he still has a big value. Let LeBron finished his contract
and whatever decision he wants after letting him decide.

Maybe Lakers should stop taking advice to Bron on whose player they will acquire because he is the one who's choosing his teammates and the reason why Lakers loss a lot of valuable young players such as Ball, Ingram and Kuzma in exchange for veteran layers that Bron preferred to build his dream line-up.

Lakers failed big time this year because of Anthony Davis absence and there supposed to be star players that didn't perform properly there respective role. I do agree that trading Davis will be a good idea since he was always injured every season. Maybe they start developing young players again to make sure they will have a good organic roster in the long run like Boston and Warriors did.

I think this has been the tradition of Lakers though, if I remember correctly, Kobe also initiated Pau Gasol's move to LA and then make make Howard move somewhere else as they are not in a good relationship.

And I think Lebron has the same mentally even before joining the Lakers. But I would have to agree that this has to be change. The organizations need to take over the players and not the other way around as it will be a disaster.

That's the culture of the Lakes, they have a star player and they will give him what he wants.

They gave everything to Kobe when he was still playing, and now they are giving Lebron everything.
Lebron have won a championship with the Lakers already, the management are already happy with that, so they are giving him the hand to do what he wants.
1618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this the end for NFTs? on: June 21, 2022, 10:35:33 PM
NFT was the talk of 2021. Now if we look at floor prices for all popular collections https://www.coingecko.com/en/nft other than BAYC there is nothing that performs well.
Cryptopunks are down big. Same for azuki, moonbird, coolcats. Collectors are now looking for good fundamentals, but how can NFT give it? Discuss?
The reason why we have serious bull run in 2021 was partly because of NFT projects. Some of them especially the popular one on coinmarketcap.com has give huge returns to investors. It is not going to die but know that this is how things work in crypto space. A lot of manipulation is going on and the weak hands are losing seriously. The whales are buying them at this discounted price to sell again for the desperate one at the top.
NFT and metaverses have been so hot last year but never does it say they are the reason for such Bullrun, they just contributed some of it. But now, these two (NFT and Metaverses) have been cold already, in fact, just only a few people talk about them and I'm not sure if these people are buying them or not.

Well, maybe you are right that they will die but sadly just to see that they were very close to that. Investors have never seen any assurance from them, they are shitcoins, and that's why they have been ignored by now.
1619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 21, 2022, 12:38:20 PM
^^ He is young and very ambitious, tall and has the advantage on Canelo (reach and height). And he has a good power too, so it's a perfect match for Canelo. But so far he is not on the radar of his team, after GGG maybe they will have to think if they will go for rematch with Bivol. Beterviev is out of the equation for him. There could still be some boxers in 168 lbs that could be safe fight for Canelo. Maybe one try at light heavy weight with Bivol and that's it, regardless of the outcome.

For sure David Benavidez will be considered in the future as a Canelo opponent, maybe after the Bivol rematch because there is not much option out there for Canelo when he beat GGG in September lol.

As early as now, Canelo is already talking of a rematch with Bivol but if the unification fight between Bivol and Beterbiev pushes through then that rematch will take some time to materialize as that fight is what people wanted to see.

Canelo will only make himself suffer again, he cannot beat Bivol, his style will not work on Bivol as we have seen in their first match. Bivol is willing to give a rematch, but for sure the negotiotion in terms of money will be different in the rematch.
1620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounty programs or airdrops more profitable to participate in? on: June 20, 2022, 11:05:36 PM
Can you make more money participating in bounties or airdrops? I made the most money doing airdops so far, like the one from Uniswap, but long term, I think bounties like the one from candlelabsdotorg will pay off better. What do you think? Which of these methods of earning free crypto should I pursue?
A direct answer is NO. They are apparently unreliable way of earning, they have been ignored by many people knowing that they are useless, majority of these airdrops have small market value or even totally nothing. But, if you want to have some collection of them, wasting your time, this is the thing we do.

But I guess, you don't but I think you also have to try just to prove by yourself and of course, for you to know the sentiment of the participants complaining about unpaid airdrops.
