1621  Other / Meta / Re: The Discourse Paradox on: November 06, 2015, 10:18:41 PM
Personally, I think that if you make x amount of <y word posts in z amount of hours, you should be temporarily unable to make posts of less than y words until the next cycle (when z amount of hours ends). x, y and z are all up to debate, I'm not looking to give suggestions there. Whether that can be implemented now as a cooldown, or in the new forum, I don't know. It effectively acts as the block on posting too frequently at lower member ranks, but it's a blanket over all ranks for shit discourse this time rather than spam.
I like this idea, though I can think of a problem or two with it. While it's unlikely to happen, if the balance is incorrect it could begin to affect service owners who's posts aren't always long or high quality. These users don't tend to wear paid signatures, though could end up getting punished for it.
Also, then there's the argument of 'does the length of post equate to the quality?'. A user could create posts which are low in length and helpful, though they would still be 'punished'* for making such posts by the system.
*I put punished in quotes due to it not really being a punishment, more of a restriction. However, some users could see it as such and therefore stop doing said helpful posts.

Certainly something must be done about such posts however, it's obvious they are simply posting for the money and have no intention to help the conversation in any way.
1622  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: November 05, 2015, 06:32:27 PM
That would be too easy.
1 of those links is a real link so you don't have to click on it or you will go again on the homepage of the faucet.
After that you will see the captcha but i didn't find any button to confirm the claim(honestly i didn't even search for it too much since i'm using the faucet since a few week already and i know that it's something impossible to find or maybe doesn't even exist).
And that. I managed to get through it on my second try, though it's an obvious ploy to just try and get clicks on his ads. I hope he gets banned from AdSense; what he's doing is against the ToS AFAIK.
1623  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: November 05, 2015, 06:23:56 PM
I tried to claim this faucet right now but I didn't find the claim button...

Where is it?
You have to click some of the links which are hidden under the ads, giving a few pixels to click each. Really scummy move from that faucet owner.
1624  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: November 05, 2015, 05:56:13 PM
Is all of your faucets are working fine?
I think im having issue into something.. i set the reward to 1 satoshi 100% , then when i checked balance after 2 minutes it got decreased by almost 3K satoshi, i am sure that there will be no 3K users to claim in about 2 mins only.
You may be getting botted. Have you tried some of the things mentioned in this thread?

Hi Kazuldur, Can you add real time BTC price on BTC address checker
If you add this feature then it will better for us.
This seems a bit pointless to me, you can just open something like Preev in another tab and have a more interactive (and possibly) better ticker.

i think it is better if you calculate the Faucet's age starting from last time entering in "Possibly broken" mode .
I don't much like this idea. If this happened, a faucet's age could be reset whenever a faucet's hosting was down or whenever a site was DDoSd. This means that a malicious faucet owner could possibly manipulate the list to make his faucet seem more trustworthy.

what about creating like & dislike voting widget so we can put it in our sites ?
I quite like this idea. It could get some more users to use the voting list and make it more fair if this was implemented.
1625  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] Bitcoin-related Scam Websites on: November 05, 2015, 04:53:42 PM
you can add this to the list  :'(grow-bitcoin.com/
If we were adding every ponzi we saw to this list it would be several pages long. Just don't invest in ponzis as a general rule.
1626  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: November 05, 2015, 12:38:58 PM
is it for you guys the same?? I think some times the Payouts dont come to my Faucetbox account.. Maybe some faucets are really not paying and it simply appears as paid... Maybe the Problem is not by the faucetbox and the sites are faking.. io dont know Sad(
Sites do sometimes fake payments to try and trick the system. Report the site if it happens, and if the same happens to others the faucet will be removed from the list.

How can we promote our faucet to get higher up the faucetbox list? My faucet is one of the top paying faucets, well established and its easy to  use yet people are generally not bothered about voting.
AFAIK asking users to vote for your faucet on the list isn't against the rules, nor is incentivising it. If you look in the Games and Rounds section you will see Monbux giving a reward to users for voting up his faucet. Perhaps you could do something similar.
However, if you depend on the FaucetBox list for traffic you should probably diversify your sources.

snip
I don't think I've ever seen someone so angry over dust.
1627  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: November 04, 2015, 12:38:52 PM
Is this service blocking attacks of bots? I mean those bots that are drying out faucets.

About my host rather i'm not afraid, until now I had no problems with it.
That service gives the admin a notification when their site is down. Is good to use if you have heavy traffic or something.

Hello,

I think this will not be a problem if there will be still a free slot for you but I cannot promise a reservation at the moment.
Come back when you're ready and we will talk then.

Good luck,

best regards.
In that case, I would like to join this campaign. Thanks.

If possible, could I get a reserved slot for the end of this week? I see myself to have a fairly high quality post history, though the majority of my posts being in Micro Earnings. That isn't a problem right?
1631  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: November 04, 2015, 12:38:42 AM
CoinUT have changed the rates for their signature campaign, might want to check it - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=992660.msg12875792#msg12875792
1632  Other / Meta / Re: So many spam accounts created in October on: November 04, 2015, 12:32:35 AM
And found that they are created within seconds and with almost the same name! Mods please handle them!
The mods are handling MrFudged very well. All new accounts by him are nuked "within ~1 minute of it's creation".
It would be nice to purge the member list, for sure, however at this point there are way too many usernames to go through it manually and too many factors for a bot to do it. It will have to stay as is.
1633  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] [HIGHEST PAY] COINUT.COM ★ Signature Campaign ★ Pay per post ★ Weekly ★ on: November 04, 2015, 12:28:18 AM
I must say that I saw this coming, though I have a few quarrels personally.

1. As mentioned, it isn't that great to change your rates mid-week. I would suggest that you change your rates after this final week to avoid backlash.
2. As a warning, I wouldn't go too far into the task of changing your rates to match the Bitcoin price. As you may be able to see, the current rate is very volatile and could continue to grow or crash at any moment. Constantly changing rates to match the Bitcoin price would be a pain for you and difficult for the participants to keep up with. I would suggest for you to set a price and stick with it for a minimum of 2-3 weeks.
3. You're no longer the highest paying signature campaign on the forum, you can remove that from your thread title to minimize confusion.
1634  Other / Meta / Re: Quick Question From MOD on: November 03, 2015, 09:10:11 PM
You can post whatever the heck you want. THIS IS BITCOIN!
Apart from if that were the rules this forum would be a cesspool. Nice job bumping your post count up though.

Keep your referral links in your sig/PM and don't tell people to click it.
1635  Other / Meta / Re: In Russian section constantly disappear threads on: November 03, 2015, 06:54:35 PM
Have you tried PMing the Mod which removed the post to discuss it with him? Perhaps maybe just a link to this thread so he can discuss it in public would be fine.
1636  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Updated 29/oct/2015] Faucet Owners Against Scammers and Bots on: November 03, 2015, 12:59:37 PM
I'm just using it, for now it goes well block some proxies but not all.
I'm doing tests now and I see that the following code blocks more proxies
Code:
<?php if ($_SERVER['HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR'] || $_SERVER['HTTP_X_FORWARDED'] || $_SERVER['HTTP_FORWARDED_FOR'] || $_SERVER['HTTP_CLIENT_IP'] || $_SERVER['HTTP_VIA'] || @fsockopen$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'], 80$errstr$errno) || @fsockopen$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'], 8080$errstr$errno)){
echo
'Blocked Proxy';
   exit;
}
?>

The problem with these checks is that almost all off them are HTTP headers and can be modified using certain functions of a browser/PHP. You should keep these checks in your code, but you shouldn't rely on them to block all proxies.

I reported this guy under 3-5 accounts last night, it seems just to be some kid with a grudge against owlcatz for some reason. Probably that Fakhoury guy or something.
1638  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why did you register here ? on: November 02, 2015, 10:56:04 PM
I came for the free giveaways going on here, I stayed to learn more about code and Bitcoin its self.

Fakhoury, stop quoting my post with your sad attempts at impersonation. What are you, 10?

Ow i see thats why i having a trouble because i dont have GMP extension installed i will try it to host and domain if its working or not then i just wanna know if where can get the GMPe extension?
Any large hosting provider will have GMP installed on their system I expect, since I imagine it is a fairly common extension. If your hosting provider doesn't have it, try contacting them about it and see what they say.

If you are hosting locally on a Windows machine, I am unsure how you would go about installing as all of the instructions seem to require a Unix OS and a Terminal to install (An example which has both of these is Linux) and knowledge of the PHP installation. If you have both of those, there are instructions on how to compile it from source here, though you will also need to compile PHP with GMP, as said here.
