861  Economy / Reputation / Re: OgNasty: "@Lutpin: Really should kill himself." on: November 26, 2016, 05:13:06 PM
Anyone else notice that Luptin posted his pic in the avatar?
What of this and why? Or someone hack your account and put a doxxed pic in your account?
Woah Lutpin, if that's your real name, when did you become a rapper?
I learn something new about you every day... Roll Eyes

Really though I think this thread should be locked. There isn't any relevant discussion going on here anymore.
862  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetSystem.com💰Bitcoin transactions service💰 AntibotInside + Faucet script on: November 25, 2016, 09:11:38 AM
pls, explain. 2% fee is for your service or for the destination wallet?
My wallet is XAPO and it doesn't require any fee.
I wouldn't like to pay 2%. And I can't even set 1%.
My understanding is the 2% fee helps pay transaction fees and for the general running of the service. Whether you want to pay it doesn't matter, services such as this one need money to run and this is the best way to get it.

In addition, Xapo probably does require a fee when sending to external Bitcoin addresses. To send Bitcoins over the network you must pay a small fee.
863  Economy / Reputation / Re: OgNasty: "@Lutpin: Really should kill himself." on: November 25, 2016, 12:15:44 AM
But I had successfully learnt from my past experiences and I have been doing well postings and I have not encountered or misused any account . I know its me as a person and I know that I have modified myself so I just did what you said . I read and understood how it works and then started good posts .
Tough. It's very easy to say sorry for breaking the rules, but it's even easier to not break them in the first place. I can't imagine the moderators will much care if you believe you have changed, you were banned and broke the rules afterwards. You now have to take the punishment for it.

In addition, make a new thread. This one is not about you and I believe that the original issue is 'solved' per se. Make a thread in Meta if you want to talk about your ban, or in Reputation if you want to talk about your trust score.
864  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [BLACK FRIDAY SALE!] Silver Wallets - A New Kind of Physical Storage on: November 24, 2016, 11:11:32 PM
I will be taking the D1 and D3 pair I reserved if possible. Thank you for a great deal!
865  Economy / Auctions / Re: 24 Hours Sell : Bitz Free Bitcoin Cloud Mining website on: November 24, 2016, 11:46:59 AM
I've already reported the user bitzfree to moderators, but this topic is still open.
Moderators don't intervene with trades usually; they don't have time to verify each one as being legitimate.

what the hell you talking ......
this is my domain
If that's so, prove it. Upload this exact text to a page called bitcointalk.html in the main directory:
Code:
Today is Thursday the 24th November.
I confirm this site is for sale and is being sold by the user 'bitzfree' on Bitcointalk.org.
866  Other / Meta / Re: Error while editing my trust list—it became empty on: November 23, 2016, 07:24:09 PM
Wait, hoew do you get hold of the archives? This is pretty cool.
You can download the entire trust network (excluding people with 0 posts) here. According to theymos, this will update:
every Saturday at 02:52 UTC.
The -> arrow shows someone being added to someone else's trust list, -/> shows that they have been excluded from someone else's trust list.

I could try making a web extension that shows you a person's trust list, that's updated weekly.
You can see people's trust lists up to DT Depth 4 here, though I suppose seeing people's who aren't near the DT network could be interesting.
867  Other / Meta / Re: [Unofficial] New Global Moderator Election - [Discussion] on: November 23, 2016, 10:51:06 AM
Lauda receiving red trust, will it effect on global mod election ?
I can't imagine so. If Lauda had voted - which they didn't - their vote would have been invalidated, though receiving a negative trust doesn't change that they are a Staff member that is eligible to be promoted to Global.

I don't think that Lauda has any neg from a member in DT,.
Yes they do. Check their trust page for a rating by 'franky1'.
868  Other / Meta / Re: [Interest Check] - User Rank 'Banned' on: November 23, 2016, 10:46:43 AM
Personally, I'm very skeptical and suspicious of these poorly concealed attempts at grabbing more power across the forum, at first through such "interest checks" and then by kicking up a racket about "elections" of a new global moderator...
Would you honestly prefer it if things went on entirely behind closed doors? I like things such as Interest Checks as it gives a chance for the community to say how they feel about a certain addition to the forum. If a feature is implemented into the forum that negatively affected people here it wouldn't be very good for the forum or the community, something like an interest check prevents this from happening.

If you're against the person posting them, tough; Lauda seems to be one of the few staff members trying to help things here. Posting thread such as this gives Lauda no power over anything to do with the forum without theymos' permission. If you can't trust that theymos would do the right thing, you shouldn't be here.
869  Other / Archival / Re: . on: November 22, 2016, 11:11:03 PM
what is the advantage of the 'group buy'? - is it to save on shipping to usa? or we get additional discounts?
As said on the BTCC Storepage, they do not currently sell to US residents whatsoever. If you want to buy something from BTCC and you live in the US, something similar to this is the only way you can do so.
Any items ordered will be shipped to someone else outside of the US initially, then reshipped to the US where they will be distributed to everyone who ordered.
870  Other / Meta / Re: YIM (Yahoo Messanger) Shortcut Button has a Broken Image on: November 22, 2016, 06:46:16 PM
I'm having the same thing in my side but It's weird since the image is available on the host https://bitcointalk.org/Themes/custom1/images/yim.gif , theymos probably changed the URL not in purpose on the postbit.
I don't believe thats the case. AFAIK the YIM button was generated and linked from Yahoo's servers (due to it being different depending on if the user was on or offline). If the API was removed on Yahoo's end (likely because of what izanagi posted) the image will show up incorrectly and cause an error.
871  Other / Meta / Re: Why do the mods need to know my email when I report a post? on: November 22, 2016, 09:57:29 AM
This is a built in function to the version of SMF the forum uses. It was later removed, however since the forum hasn't updated it's software it is still present. I expect it was used for identification.
It could probably be manually changed by theymos, but it seems like a lot if effort for not much. For a temporary solution, use a throwaway e-mail for Bitcointalk.
872  Other / Meta / Re: Is this considered grave digging on: November 22, 2016, 07:33:07 AM
Personally I wouldn't count it as such due to it not being a considerably long amount of time between the last post and the bump. The quality of the post is less than good, though that's a different issue.
873  Other / Meta / Re: New Global Moderator Election [Discussion] on: November 19, 2016, 10:52:00 PM
AND without the authorisation or blessing of the decision maker.
I don't particularly see what's wrong with not having theymos' consent with this. The vote is essentially the same as me making a thread titled 'Who do you think the best moderator is?', only with an actual reason behind it and made by some people of a higher rank than me.
If theymos doesn't approve, he could simply not acknowledge the vote whatsoever and pick (or not pick) based on his own accord. It would be a let down, of course, but the vote will just be used to perhaps help in the decision.

From what I can see theymos is too busy currently to put all of his attention towards the forum and see who is helping the most and would be a best fit for the moderation team. This vote is simply to try and help him out. I don't mean this in a snarky or rude way, but if you have a better idea I'm sure the staff would like to hear it.

You have reported 405 posts with 97% accuracy.
Not enough.

877  Other / Meta / Re: Locked Account - Sakarias-Corporation on: November 16, 2016, 10:07:52 PM
Has he contacted an admin (Cyrus would probably the best bet currently) with a signed message from an address that can be seen on a post on his account (as can be seen here)?
If not, he should do that ASAP. It is time consuming to try and verify identity through any other means, and it is unlikely an admin would bother going through the trouble.

Also, delete old bumps as you make new ones.
878  Other / Meta / Re: [FANT] Fight Against Negative Trust on: November 16, 2016, 10:03:14 PM
It's not the same thing when you replace mod-wannabes with actual mods and admins.
What's the point though? What makes a mod's opinion any higher than those in DT? Because they have the word 'Global Moderator' or 'Administrator' under their names?

Are you saying that mods can't read 2 or 3 lines of text which a red paint usually consists of and decide for themselves what to do with the account in question?
I see this argument over and over again from people who probably have no idea how the forum works currently. The staff of the forum are currently too busy to do much more than they already are.
In addition, it would then be who could do it. Since regular staff members cannot moderate the entire forum, only newbies and specific sections, I'm guessing that they would be out of the running for something as widespread as the trust system. That leaves the Global Moderators (Of which there are three, all of whom I imagine are somewhat busy already) and Administrators (Of which there are three, two of which are inactive/busy).
So, you expect four active users to moderate the entire trust system (that isn't just as simple as reading '2 or 3 lines of text')? Get real.

Or do you prefer to have random people giving feedbacks just because they think someone sneezed at the wrong moment?
Random feedbacks that, as Lutpin said, can very easily be ignored? The only trust feedback that matters to I expect the majority of users is that of those on DT2 or above. These people are not random, they were put on to the system for a reason.
879  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Faucebox is closing on: November 12, 2016, 02:36:34 PM
That service could be profitable to run. In a very simple way, too.

A lot of us depended on faucetbox's service. I personally didn't care about the previous fee they had. It's normal for users who launch a faucet today and close it in a month that they're gonna moan about higher fee than 1%. (or any fee, actually)

You can't simply satisfy everyone. It's everyone vs your business. You're the one running your business. There's always customers who'll stick around for X or Y reason.
Perhaps, however that is not how FaucetBOX wanted to run it. I personally would have kept the fees high, however it was not not mine (or anyone else's) decision.

Anyway.
Since you've been "helping" them somehow, can you tell me why wouldn't they want to sell their project? What if the pope asked them to buy it, they wouldn't still sell it?

They handled their business professionally ever since I got into faucet business. But what they're doing right now, isn't quite professional. They're getting offers from people who're legit and honest in bitcoin business, yet, they don't want to sell the project, because of "image".
Would just like to say that I don't and never had worked with FaucetBOX in a professional manner. By helping them, I helped answer queries and do bits of coding in their forum thread(s). I have no influence or knowledge in what goes on behind the scenes.
Regarding them not selling the project, I have no idea. I expect that they have built a reputation around their service and they would not like anyone else to change that - not positively or negatively. I understand that there are many capable people that could take over, however they clearly would not like to pass the baton. I think that should be respected.

How do users feel when they have to move to other providers, instead of just staying on the same provider with a new team/owner/admin/call it anyhow?
^ That's the part which doesn't make sense. That's why people are suspicious/making up conspiracy theories, etc.
I understand that it is annoying to have to move, it is the same for me. I think the best thing we can do as a group in this situation is make it as easy as possible to switch between faucet providers, like FaucetBOX did with Microwallet in the past.

You are Legendary ( Date Registered:   July 20, 2013, 08:56:05 AM ) you shouldve know about that topic ! to shame  !  Grin Cool

880  Other / Meta / Re: Thanks for selling my data on: November 11, 2016, 03:31:13 PM
BitcoinTalk got hacked late last year which caused information (such as emails and password hashes) to be leaked into the public.
BitcoinTalk didn't sell your data.
