Nah. He can do as he pleases. Little scamp is just having bold dreams.

Actually, Lauda has a whole book of contradictions.
I'm starting to think that you two have some sort of a connection, since you two have very similar views on subjects which seemingly very few others agree with you on. Plus you both have come forward with these views at a very convenient time to back each other up. Just thinking aloud Roll Eyes

If he stops the stupid bumping thing that dogie mentioned, no I don't think he should.
1482  Other / Meta / Re: Ignore feature needs enhancements. on: December 02, 2015, 09:55:32 PM
So? Out of sight, out of mind. To me, I personally wouldn't mind if I couldn't see it.
You don't represent the majority of the forum, nor does anyone else here. Your opinion, and anyone else's, are irrelevant without a majority.
Also, why do you insist on using obnoxious font sizes? It doesn't even emphasize anything in your post, it looks like you just put it there because you got bored.

Also, the site is already "high school", because people talk about others.
TIL every respected news network or website is now "high school" because they have talked about another being at some point in time.
Talking about others is fine, and should be encouraged if the person being talked about has done something wrong.

There's drama in the reputation forum. So you want people to see when people talk about them so they can get upset and distracted?
I don't know about you, but if someone is trying to claim that I have done something wrong I would personally like to be able to talk back and give my side of the story so that people could understand both sides of the story and base their opinions on that. Preventing this would just create manhunts against a single user based off of one other user's opinion, which I would hope you see as worse than one person making a potentially hurtful post about a certain user.

I don't really care if someone wants to talk about me, just as long as I can erase them from my thoughts and just focus on fighting for my future goals and endeavors. They can spend time on another human will I spend my time on building my future.
So, for you to forget about someone you must stop them viewing your content? I don't understand.

I kind of want OP's idea. Especially if he gets to do the coding. Then we'll see what he's capable of.
Then he can implement it on a different forum and you can join there, because I sincerely hope that this idea wouldn't even be thought about by the admins.

Lauda doesn't like "censorship or blocking", but Lauda stood by the self moderate option.

Yet another contradiction for Lauda. You honestly must be ill to have this many contradictions.
Whether Lauda wanted the self moderation option or not their opinion would not get it changed in any way. Since this is the case, they may as well help out and suggest that option to someone who wants to censor their threads. Lauda is simply being mature and suggesting an option which could fit the needs of what the OP wants, regardless of whether they feel said option is right or not.
Also, what are you trying to prove by targeting Lauda like this? Are you trying to get them demoted? Either way, I suggest you stop with it. You're just making yourself look like an idiot by severely misunderstanding simple posts.
1483  Other / Meta / Re: Ignore feature needs enhancements. on: December 02, 2015, 02:08:55 PM
Facebook does.   Wink
AFAIK unless something has changed blocking someone on Facebook doesn't stop you viewing their profile if the blocker's privacy isn't set properly. Forgive me if I'm wrong, it's been a few years since I used that shitshow properly.

Either way, the fact that Facebook has a similar system says it all haha

1484  Other / Meta / Re: Ignore feature needs enhancements. on: December 02, 2015, 02:04:39 PM
It would just be easy to block someone from my threads and just be done with it. As I said, I would happily do the coding for the option.
No popular service that I know of does this; it's not needed. I have no doubt that it would just be abused, as you could easily shit talk a member behind their back and since you ignored them they would have no idea that it is going on. While I'm not saying that you would do that, I'm sure some members of the forum would. Let's not turn this forum into a high school.

As said, Self Moderation is the option that you most likely want. I don't much see why it would be that much of a hassle deleting someone's post compared to replying, which is what you said you wanted to avoid:
I don't have time to kill just having unnecessary arguments with certain members.

We have tension, but I see you've become more civil as a global moderator and I appreciate it. I respect that you're trying to give me advice, but at this moment in time I'm in no position to really speak to you at the moment. I hope you understand.
IMO hilariousandco has always been civil, however he doesn't sugar coat what he says to lessen the blow at all. This is quite right, as if someone is doing something wrong they should know about it, and trying to lessen the severity of the warning is less likely to make the person stop or change their ways.
1485  Other / Meta / Re: Should there be a limit to how many times you can post a day? on: December 01, 2015, 10:55:37 PM
I'm glad you feel this way. That is why a special lady is now unbanned.  Grin

If you don't like her, my recommendation is to put her on ignore. Just like how I put Gleb on ignore.
The way that I feel is pretty similar to the way that it works. You can feel free to ask any staff member.
Also, thank you for bringing up a completely irrelevant subject. Try to come up with something relevant to the topic at hand, especially when talking about off topic posters.

I don't mind posting like this. Lauda minds though, so I'm speaking for Lauda.
You either misunderstood or you're deliberately trying to be awkward. By the way you've tried to call out Lauda for essentially nothing before it looks that you have a bit of a grudge on them for some reason.
Talking about the forum or Bitcoin its self is no problem as long as what you're talking about has some relevance. Hence why posts like this are allowed, hence why the entire Meta section exists. Going to the Off Topic section and posting on 'What drink did you last drink' every day to boost your post count is not adding to anything whatsoever, as no one cares about what you post there.
1486  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] New "Ancient" ranking / higher than Legendary on: December 01, 2015, 10:28:29 PM
It would help the forum to keep going! Would it not?
I don't really think it would. While it would be nice for this forum to live for a long time, I doubt anyone will care about an online number of points and title to stay here for several decades.

People would donate if they have worked for 10 or 20 years on making their account with 5000-7000 activity.
Would they? I don't think it would really make someone donate over $3k (right now) because they have been here for a long time.
1487  Other / Meta / Re: Should there be a limit to how many times you can post a day? on: December 01, 2015, 10:23:08 PM
Lauda said he wants people to stop posting so much if it has no relevance to Bitcoin.
Which is true, especially so if the user has a paid signature. If all of your contributions to the forum is just spamming in Off Topic you shouldn't be here.

He also said that posting in off-topic is bad, and implied that anyone posting a lot in off-topic should be banned.
This is dependent. Accounts such as Gleb's and Phinnaeus's have a large amount of posts in Off Topic, but they have provided enough elsewhere to the forums to warrant it. Users that do nothing but spam in Off Topic shouldn't be here.

I was just trying to help with some kind of idea, but I understand where you're coming from.
It's not too great of an idea, similar to a lot of your others. It isn't about how much you post per day, it's about the quality of the posts made.
1488  Other / Meta / Re: Why is the activity required for Legendary random? on: December 01, 2015, 10:13:58 PM
  • Signature Scoring.
Becoming a Legendary Member sooner depends on what kind of signatures you are using. I noticed the ones wearing tame signatures or no signature at all, are becoming Legendary Members quite sooner and the ones actively participating in signature campaign, wearing annoying signatures are still a Hero Member with more than 940 activity counts.
So, what happened to marcotheminer getting promoted to Legendary almost as soon as he could? Stop talking out of your arse.
1489  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] New "Ancient" ranking / higher than Legendary on: December 01, 2015, 10:11:38 PM
Should only be available to users who were active on this forum for at least two reward halvings.
Not for the 2013 bunch Wink
Cry

I don't like the idea at all.
Good constructive feedback. Thanks for telling us why.

That would make the rank so great! Only the most passionate bitcoiners will get it! Iron out the scammers, no scammer will take 30 years to make an account!
If this forum is alive in 5-10 years I will be amazed, let alone 30.
1490  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: December 01, 2015, 02:54:30 PM
Hi, can anyone help me to get my faucet working?

I get this error message: Notice: Post request, but session is invalid. in /home/bitcfbqk/public_html/doge/index.php on line 2061
http://doge.bitcoinsforfree.xyz/
Does this happen with every claim or only a few?
1491  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Random steam keys on: December 01, 2015, 08:41:06 AM
A Payivy link from a newbie isn't too trustworthy. You should probably do your first few deals on the forum its s elf.

6. CleverPuffin

Website: http://www.cleverpuffin.com/
Personally, I don't particularly trust this hosting. I haven't been sent a bill, nor a reply to a support ticket I opened a while ago and yet the hosting is still active. I would not suggest anyone to use this hosting.

I've made a list of sites which can be used to host websites/domains, you can see this by following the link below my signature.
1493  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [List] Bitcoin Advertising Networks on: November 30, 2015, 10:20:23 PM
I gave a-ads a try based off mostly good things said about them and the OP.
I started a campaign, deposited btc , said balance was .03btc then couple hours later it was .0btc saying my campaign had been banned due to insufficient funds. The stats chart shows that .03btc was spent. The impressions & clicks count is still 0 ... did I get absolutely nothing for my btc?! Is this site a fucking SCAM? If so, OP should be updated =(
I really doubt that is the case, sometimes the statistics can take a little while to update (I don't believe they are real time).
If you wait a day and you are still having problems, you can post on the support topic and arsenische will probably help you out
1494  Other / Meta / Re: I am so over this petty drama. on: November 29, 2015, 01:19:53 AM
I think she taunted them because they were making too many accusations without proof.
I was asked to be searched by a police officer. Since they had no proof I was holding anything I flirted with them until they arrested me. I don't understand why, it was only a joke!

So what if she made silly posts in the off topic? She still posted tons of meaningful ones.
I would like you to link 10 or more of these meaningful posts. She also wasn't banned solely on her posts in Off Topic (AFAIK), though they did contribute a significant portion to her ban.

I don't care if that was a joke. It is trolling and offensive either way, so I have placed that on Xian01's trust
The internet is srs bsns, right?

Got to say, I'm feeling a bit uneasy about how you suddenly joined and tried to introduce authority here despite being a newbie. Still, innocent until proven guilty I suppose.
1495  Other / Meta / Re: I am so over this petty drama. on: November 29, 2015, 12:58:22 AM
Listen, I am the least confrontational person, and I apologize if anything I ever said to you offended you or upset you.
It hasn't. Same for you, even if I see your views on what is offensive slightly skewed.

I just don't like it when people cannot simply log into a forum and post what they want to post without feeling like they're going to be threatened or attacked for it.
Sadly, that's essentially anywhere on the internet. Get used to it I suppose.

It is so questionable that people that have been proven to scam are still here, while people like my business partner that have no proof against them as a scammer or a troll or a physical threat get banned.
As said before, codishmumu was banned due to their insignificant posts on the forum. If they stopped that and stopped taunting staff members that called her out on it they wouldn't have been banned.

PROOF THAT XIAN01 THREATENED TO KILL SOMEONE, AND DID NOT GET BANNED. HILARIOUS TRIED TO DELETE THE POST BECAUSE THEY'RE CLEARLY FRIENDS, BUT I WAS ABLE TO CAPTURE THE PAGE.

https://archive.is/IIhLh

It's a joke.

My question is, what does this have to do with the forum itself (i.e. this section)?
To be fair there isn't much of a better place that I can think of to put it other than Off Topic.
1496  Other / Meta / Re: I am so over this petty drama. on: November 28, 2015, 11:37:09 PM
But I never namedrop her though. I only talk about her because she's my business partner, but I've never actually said her username so if I don't namedrop, you wouldn't know who I was talking about.
So because you don't say their name you're not talking about them? Either way I can see where you're coming from on this; I'm not going to dwell on it.

And like I said in my OP, I said "I USUALLY DONT TALK ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE". So you're okay with Fwdxlsh posting about Lauda's contradictions on codishmumu's ban?
Why wouldn't I be? If a user has made a contraction or has done something strange they deserve to be called out about it. The subject is irrelevant.

I thought you hated codishmumu and wanted her killed.
I don't know where you've got this from. I hated what codishmumu posted and the way she acted on the forum, though I doubt I would hate her specifically. I hate very few people, especially not people on the internet. Towards the last bit, please stop trying to make me look like a psychopath.

And yeah, who asked you?

1497  Economy / Reputation / Re: user michigan leaves me -ve feedback for no reason on: November 28, 2015, 11:29:55 PM
Don't worry, very few people care about Untrusted Feedback. Take a look at mine or a trusted member of the forum, their untrusted feedback is a warzone.
The trust system isn't moderated in 3/4 cases to lower the (already large) amount that staff have to do and to stop censorship. If there is massive trust spam (such as the one seen here) you can contact an admin to have it removed. You should try to work out any disagreements on trust with whoever set the trust, though since it is in Untrusted Feedback you don't really have to worry about it.
1498  Other / Meta / Re: I am so over this petty drama. on: November 28, 2015, 11:22:28 PM
If someone does something wrong then they deserve to be called out on it. By your logic, the Scam Accusations section should be closed because of users talking about other users.
Also, don't you see yourself being slightly hypocritical by always talking about codishmumu and then calling out others for talking about other users? As you so nicely said:
NO.
ONE.
CARES.

1499  Other / Meta / Re: what happens if someone reaches 1000000 post count? on: November 28, 2015, 04:41:14 PM
That's a pretty funny easter egg tho, I wonder if there are more.
Unless an admin has added more, afaik the only other one is that your post count changes to 'leet' when you reach 1337 posts. Like this: https://i.imgur.com/rLqDltF.png
1500  Economy / Reputation / Re: Public appeal to Vod on behalf of lottery248 on: November 27, 2015, 06:29:39 PM
Perhaps Lottery248 bought OP's account?
I really don't believe that Mexxer would sell his account.

It has perhaps been posted by Mexxer due to him being a somewhat trusted member of the forum. Perhaps lottery248 felt that people would listen to him more.
