If anyone is seeing boxes, etc. instead of BBCode or ASCII chars ... seems like your OS / WebBrowser is kinda different than usual.
I guess I am one of the 10% then. My browser (firefox) is straight out of the box, latest version, no funny business. Tried on two different computers, still can't see the magic box. I can confirm this is not a browser problem. Signature looks fine on one of my computer that runs on latest version of Firefox on Windows 8.1. But I can see 'that square' when I use latest Firefox on Windows XP.

Is it possible that the BTC price jump earlier today was a fewMonero holders (or just one?) dumping XMR for BTC, for fear of the announced attack?
The reason of the price jump was the news of PayPal's Bitcoin integration

*Slaps forehead* HAHAHA! Wow! I can't believe people even write this stuff. Even if you don't understand how a hard drive works, at least you can understand simple physics and that you can't create material from nothing. Where did you find this?
On Yahoo Answers. People ask way too dumb questions than we think. https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090807182409AAsU9a1A fellow member has provided very amusing reply: Hmm . . . This seems to be backwards.
Initially, each bit on a hard drive is set to 0. As you copy data to the drive, the drive itself should decrease in weight. This is because 1 bits take up less area than 0 bits, and, hence, weigh less.To verify this, just measure the circumference of a 0 and the length of a 1. The 0 is about 1/3 longer; therefore, it weights about 1/3 more. Instead of gigabits of 0 bits, over time your hard drive will come to contain a mixture of 0 and 1 bits, decreasing its weight.
The most common cause of weight gain on devices with hard drives is due to the rotational inertial of the drives. As the bearings wear in the drive's spindles, they tend to spin faster, and the additonal centrifugal force causes weight gain, especially on the outer edges of the platters. To alleviate this problem, you merely have to make the drives spin in the opposite direction, forcing the bits to spin in the opposite direction also. This is accomplished by reversing the polarity of the electrical plug that goes into the wall socket.
Good luck.

.... unsolicited PM spam to buy or sell accounts will lead to your account getting banned anyway if the messages are reported, but those interested in buying accounts obviously wont report them.
What I wanted to convey was: people will fear making a buy request via PM due to the possibility that the message receiver would report the PM to staff and the person making the offer would get banned. (Unless the receiver is also willing to make the deal, so there's 50-50 risk factor for the person making the offer)

People selling accounts is impossible to prevent, which is probably why there is no rule against it.
Well, in theory it should be possible to ban it. If you ban it, no one can make an offer publicly. If someone makes an offer via PM, those PMs can be reported to moderator and it can lead to a ban on who's making the offer.

As we all know, buying/selling forum accounts is allowed. But it becomes hard for other community members to figure out the authenticity of the opinions expressed from such accounts. A Legendary/Hero/Senior account may flood the forum with strong opinions and junior members would more inclined to believe them, not knowing the fact that the account might be bought with pure intention of publishing FUD or to make desirable impact on opinion of others.
What would help is a public list of all sold/bought accounts for everyone to see. This way at least other users can use caution before relying on opinions expressed from such accounts.
I don't know if there is any known way to ensure this, because most deals take place via PMs. But I strongly feel the need for this and would like to know what everyone else thinks.
