Off for a country drive to see the fall colors and walk in the woods.

Too much stress this week. Time to relax.

_____

Got lucky with Hurricane Delta. It downgraded to category 2 before making landfall and thus caused much less damage than anticipated.

No fatalities nor even any injuries have been reported and all reports are that damage has been minimal... mostly toppled trees and wires in our general area.

It will probably be another couple of days before power and internet are restored and we can find out how we fared. We're keeping our fingers crossed.

What a year!
1643  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 07, 2020, 12:03:28 AM
Thanks to all for the support.

Dig in and stay safe buddy, if I prayed i'd drop one for you. Smiley

We don't have to dig in. We're safe in Toronto.

It's our friends in Mexico we're concerned about... and of course our properties.

They do have some experience at this though. They say this reminds them of Wilma (2005).
1644  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 06, 2020, 11:05:22 PM
Didn't post my usual morning greeting today because I'm preoccupied by Hurricane Delta.

It increased to category 4 and is headed straight toward our homes in Quintana Roo.

Talked to our custodians and hopefully trees are being cut that might fall on our houses, water tanks are being secured and windows are being boarded up.

We told one to abandon the property and go to a government shelter. We expect all our thatched roofs to be a write-off.

Luckily our main house and storage building have concrete roofs. We told our friends there that they can b&e the place if they need shelter.

Nothing like Daddy Nature to remind you about the real world. Hopefully no lives will be lost.

Hola Bitcoinland.
Ten six seventy five bucks
(Bitcoinaverage).

I see a new poll:
Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb...
Or is that Dumb and Dumber?

It makes you ponder:
Isn't democracy fun
When you have no choice?
1646  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 03, 2020, 04:08:32 PM

Leveled out after the dip a couple of days ago... currently $10563USD/$14060CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Time to move up. Go Bitcoin go.

I think Godwin's Law should be updated to include "communist" along with the Nazis.

Its use is a sure sign a conversation is deteriorating.

"Terrorist" also comes close.
1647  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 29, 2020, 03:54:39 PM

1648  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 28, 2020, 03:24:19 PM

You forgot the last image with the caption "7 years later... I'm divorcing you and taking half of your crypto!"

Let her take the crypto. Just don't tell her about the Bitcoin.
1649  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 28, 2020, 02:04:47 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Up a wee bit... currently $10895USD/$14583CAD (Bitcoinaverage) but still basically sideways.

September will soon be over and hopefully the autumn rally will be starting before long.

Go Bitcoin go.

The wealthy cabal depends on internet services companies Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, PayPal, eBay, all the cloud-based services companies, etc. Stock markets depend in the internet. Governments and militaries around the world depend on the internet up and running 24/7/365.

You forgot to mention the entire mainstream banking system.

Edit: ...and media propaganda system.

Today Ancestry said it has 3 million paying subscribers...

That's a lot of suckers actually paying to be data-mined in the most invasive way. Pathetic.
1651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 25, 2020, 03:55:06 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland

Still sideways... currently $10672USD/$14308CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

C'mon Bitcoin move up. I have to sell a little to pay month-end expenses.

Go Bitcoin go.

Privacy doesn't necessarily mean illegal activity. Some things must be kept private, and I hate it when this privacy is violated.

No freaking kidding. Invasion of privacy is what's criminal.

There is no freedom without anonymity. Identification is evil.

It's depressing how many people voluntarily post pictures and personal information about themselves on "social" (haha) networking websites. I guess their little lives are so insignificant they're starved for attention.

Some even go so far as to actually want to be famous. Fame is a bothersome price that is paid to acquire wealth.

The secret is to acquire wealth and success without fame. Go Bitcoin go!!!

1654  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 16, 2020, 06:12:52 PM
The confirmed science and math that Satoshi didn't understand has to do with how poorly this system functions as a currency. We tried it for a few years. It doesn't work. It's only a bad speculative vehicle, which now people realize and have been dumping for 4 years. The project failed. Neat idea, but fractional reserve banking is clearly better based on all proven and confirmed science and math. I'm glad Satoshi tried this out, but now we know it doesn't work and we can go back to the way things are proven to work best.

Too bad Satoshi wasn't a smart guy like Craig Wright.

Craig would have figured it out.
1655  Economy / Speculation / Re: [WO] Boating accidents and transparent blockchains on: September 15, 2020, 08:18:55 PM
Bitcoiners have less to fear from boating accidents, and more to fear from getting hacked.  It is scary that your Microsoft Windows®,Apple®, Android or Linux machine is just one careless e-mail attachment click away from scrambling all of your data, and sending all of your money to heinous criminals who know how to make money disappear.  Don’t you wish that you had bought a hardware wallet created offline cold storage addresses?  Such grief!

Something up that is.

Go go Bitcoin go
Go Bitcoin go Bitcoin go
Go go Bitcoin go!
1657  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 12, 2020, 03:19:06 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

No real change... still sideways... currently $10380USD/$13679CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

C'mon Bitcoin, rise and shine.

Go Bitcoin go.

I sell 1 bitcoin for price 50K while I really need only 25K. Wait until price falls to 25K, buy back the 1 bitcoin and keep the rest 25K in the bank forever. If the price doesn't fall that much, well this is a calculated risk. In my case this means 1 mil total profit in the bank. Not exactly fuck you status, but still enough to change my lifestyle.

This is the main idea, but with the calculator I can set precise sells at each percentage, so that I cover events like 45K down to 22K, etc. Only when I have a new lifestyle, I will sell almost everything for 6 mil.

Are you saying you'd risk your money by keeping it in fiat in some bank? The term "money in the bank" is misleading unless the "bank" is your own i.e. Bitcoin.

I also question your hoping for the price of Bitcoin to drop anywhere near as low as $25k. That's barely higher than the current ATH.

It's more likely for the price to continue well into 6 digits and then perhaps fall down as low as $50k-$60k in the nadir of the next Bitcoin winter.

Just MHO of course.
1658  Economy / Speculation / Re: [WO] Permutations of precious washers, and recovery of losses thereof on: September 11, 2020, 02:49:50 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Sideways movement continues... currently $10316USD/$13604CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Ho freaking hum.

Go Bitcoin go.

I have even seen people post photos of their gold and silver holdings themselves on readily identifiable social media accounts, with faces in the picture (!).  Some people just ain’t so bright.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

More of the same... bouncing along retesting $10k support... currently $10134USD/$13338CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Up please. Go Bitcoin go,

Progress must be made.  Report for re-education.

Jimbo, you, too.

Sorry. I've got better things to do than re-educate the masses.

I'm retired emeritus.

Then again, reprogramming people who've been brainwashed by SJW propaganda is a noble cause.
