Well done on winning leea! We haven't met yet in BSFL but I see you're doing so well in promotion and now top of Division 2!

Anyway La Liga schedules are already published, Real got Bellingham and we got Gundogan, so it's gonna be really really tough. We start with Getafe, where it's always tough for us but the pick of the first match is for sure Sevilla versus Valencia lol

Good luck everyone, and is it possible for me to send all my fees for all pools everywhere instantly? Tongue

I don't think the any pool will be announced just yet, at least it will be by mid of next month, because there are still varieties of things to work out by the organizers from looking for sponsorship to struck and platforms to be used.

If you'd rather not have it with you, I'm sure there will be a couple of organizers that could help you out with keep them, such as Trofo, who I know will be handling a number of pools too, and plays in almost every pool out here, he could be willing to help.

I see so many people many of whose choices turned out to be wrong in the end. The questions looked hard to me in the first place though.

I have a different perspective and all the questions seemed rather very easy at first glance imo, I probably would have taken a side bet of getting at least 6 correct answers after seeing the questions, that's why it was a bloodbath in the spreadsheet because we all had a similar idea on some instances. However, it's always easier said than done, as usual.

I have BetBoom Team to win the tournament and to play against PSG.LGD in the final, I've already won the round against my opponent, Thanks to Alcaraz proving he can adapt pretty well to any surface, and Zverev also failing to secure a place in the final put the round in the bag for me, but now I believe I could be up for 2 different Free bets round If PSG can reach the final and lose to Betboom Team.

This is my answer to the 10th question PSG.LGD - BetBoom Team, BetBoom Team.  I just checked the standings like this screenshot so who goes to the final and who is the winner? I don't understand how the format in this tournament because I saw that there were still other matches today Between PSG.LGD vs Gaimin Gladiators even though PSG.LGD has been defeated by Betboom, I'm really confused  Cheesy

The screenshot is rather confusing, but if you're familiar with E-sports in general like CS:GO or Dota 2, there are often 3 finals, Upper Bracket Final (where the loser get another shot at making it to the final), by playing the winner of the Lower Bracket Final, then the winner faces the winner from the upper bracket final, the main or grand final (which usually is a best of 5 series).

EDIT: Trofo beat me to it, with a better explanation with the bracket image, that's ideally how it works some of these e-sports.

BB is my choice, and LTC has GG (PSG is on both answers (do they have some connection to PSG football club?)
Yeah PSG is their sponsor and they added it to their name LGD. They are also the only DOTA team that actually have logo of two parts. One would think that PSG gives enough money for proper logo Smiley

What a piece of shit its Zverev man, he can give me a point easily and he lose against a 50 ranking player, GG my last options in this round.

Well heads up and thinking in the next round. Next time i have to not go so bold in some predictions like the NBA draft and tennis question (it was so close).

Good game mate, better luck next time 👍

I think all he wants is security so giving him a longer contract should suffice to get him back to the team. An increase may not be his main goal on why he declined his option. News came out that he thinks he is worth $100m so give him 5 years of $20m.
Possibly, he wants to be there when Steph Curry retires and just get the money that he wants even though his co-main star is already resting.

Yeah, I've also heard rumors that Green naively thinks he deserves another $100 million contract and that the Warriors want him back. However, I still don't believe in this outcome. I mean, it makes no sense for the Warriors' management to offer him such a big, long contract because Green is 33 years old and already performing pretty mediocrely. Just imagine how bad he'll be when he turns 38.

I like the Golden State Warriors being rid of Jordan Poole, he'll be such a mess to have as the heir to the post splash brothers era and he's shown it multiple times, in my candid opinion. The supposed new deal he got last year is already getting way deep into his head, but the if the Warriors clearing massively off their salary cap is to retain Draymond Green or hand him some ridiculous deal as mentioned above then trading Jordan Poole would be a stupid move in my opinion, I think this players also need to understand that these franchises are peoples business and they as players only stayed over the years because their getting as paid they dim fit and their dreams aligned, but this felling of entitlement after they're getting old and the franchise needs to start thinking of the future they begin to play some victim card, instead of just getting the hell away to some place where to they can milk some money off before calling it quits on their already ending careers.

Danil Medvedev with the huge let down for me, as I have already anticipated that Jannik Sinner game would be considered void and it was but Medvedev with non impressive and losing body language see to it that I lost my bet  Huh

Did you watch the game between Bautista-Agut and Medvedev @Harkorede? I watched it for 20 minutes and when you mentioned the body language here, I think you know exactly what we are talking about... I have made bad experiences going with Medvedev in the past and this was again a game when he totally denied to keep playing sometimes, laughing all the time about his unforced errors and about Bautista-Agut points. It came to a point when I thought that it is disrespectful towards the audience who bought tickets to see him. He literally played at times like he would be playing a fun match against his little 5 year old in the garden. The whole body language, the gestures, that was ridiculous. You could see that he cares zero about Halle.

It was freaking disgusting to watch him play like that to be frank, and they all are humans and are bound to have bad or even terrible days as we all do, but showing no character whatsoever or even any passion for the match was an eyesore and I thought for a second that it was only myself who noticed it simply because I had money on the line, but this proves me right, If doesn't care about Halle, he could have just withdrawn from the tournament all along, I don't think there is penalty for that, is there ? I'm sure there are 100s of other Tennis players that would have wanted to witness that experience... I guess I'm done with him and Tsitsipas for the time being. I'll just stick to my Rude, Rune and Alcaraz for now!

Alcaraz to the finals, and that brings home my first H2H edge, but GG have leveled up against Talon in the Dota 2 match up  Roll Eyes

Betting a couple of bucks on GG and LGD to win their respective game tonight as a support to my pick on our week 3 questionaire. I really feel that GG can manage to pull their self together on this tournament to achieve higher spot. I really think that they can beat BB on the semi finals since I'm assuming that LGD will still have a flawless run on the UB.

I was hoping Talon would eliminate Gamin Gladiators, at least that would give me my first edge in the H2H vs my opponent, but I don't know how to feel with your bet, Talon have been quite impressive later and I would have had my bet on them to win a map rather than ML on GG, Talon have won the first map, and I think any won who stream the fixture on twitch would definitely.

I was literally simultaneously watching Bublik vs Zverev, while also streaming Dota 2 on Twitch, I mean on Saturday afternoon, but when there no football event how much of a choice do we have. That said, Bublik with yet another upset by eliminating Zverev 2-0, that's coming after having great game versus Sinner, I'll probably be backing him for the finals.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 24, 2023, 01:32:23 PM
Today I read about the history of the worst transfers using artificial intelligence. In artificial intelligence including ex-England star and Arsenal record buy. I don't understand how their procedure works. They seem to combine the number of minutes played, performance, price and level of disappointment. But from this result, it explains that Arsenal have the worst record in transfer cases.  It seems that this can be an evaluation in the team. Good performances from the original club do not guarantee adaptation to a new club, although not all are the same.

Source: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/22751383/premier-league-worst-signings-arsenal-pepe/

I think its now working out for us. Nicolas Pepe well didn't made an impact like on would have hoped for given the price at which Arsenal bought him but he did scored some crucial goals and had some good assists as well. Still again given his price his impact was too low to be considered as a decent buy so guess somehow the list says right about Pepe. Anyway I am glad that we have found a solution for him by sending him on loan and most probably will sell him in this transfer window.

I think given number of players on the flank or in the centre forward position that have arrived after Nicolas Pepe and made some real impact without being hyped up as much as Pepe was, it pretty much easy and straight forward to consider him one of the biggest transfer fails by Arsenal, arguing about the changes in coaches and general ideology would make a reasonable excuse for his failure at the club because pretty much almost nothing was working back then imo, and considering crucial goals and assist, I might not have been an Arsenal fan or saw every of their game, but I'm sure I would have seen between 40-50% of their important and crucial games they've played in the last 5-6 years (crucial and important as interpreted by me would be major cup finals, semi finals, some quarter finals (vs credible opponents), and most of the games vs top 6 opponents in the league), and I can say I barely even remember his name if I were to speak about any of these games. However, I'm sure our criterial for crucial goals and assist might be contrast for example any game winning is often crucial to every team regardless of the opponent, so it's very much likely that I missed it. Even as much as Andrey Arshavin spell almost didn't end up very well as it started, and it already should be about 10 years or more he left Arsenal, but then those 4 goals against Liverpool will live at the heart of most football lovers who witnessed it.

Oh Ye Alcaraz doubters today is the day he gets to prove you all wrong, but it's now a very fine margin between me and my opponent, every remaining question now have it's own significant impact on how our fixture would end, and It's very likely that the winner would known by the end of today.

will be interesting to see Alcaraz today, I am not sure that he will win, but I need that one
Korda is good on grass, was a bit surprised that he was favored by bookies against Norrie, little, but favored with @1.8 odds, and he won it easily

changing Zverev to Sinner in last minute was wrong decision, as I see, but it could see me taking Zverev outright @20 for Wimbledon, he looks very good at the moment (not thinking he will win, but even SF is money on that)

Yes, it's as though we have like minds on that, I'm sure looking at some dark horses outright for Wimbledon too, I just need a little bit of more information regarding the seedings and the draw path, so I might have about 2-3 outrights on some underdogs. Alcaraz winning this tour would put him back at World No 1, I don't know if that will be of any effect on the seeding for Wimbledon, so I'll just wait for the draw chart and how both current ends before I draw my conclusion.

More reds are on the way now that Medvedev lost 2-0 to RBA, the good part for me is that my opponent has the same prediction as mine. Grin

The tiebreakers for Dota finished just now, and BetBoom 2-0'd Gaimin Gladiators. At least they finally woke up after throwing their last two series, and now it's guaranteed that one of them will make it to the finals.

Zverev had better not make it to the finals, because that'd give darxiaomi the win over me in the question number 8, and that gives him a kind of edge in the H2H.

I'm tuned in to Alcaraz v Dimitrov, and I don't want any more surprises today, please!

Alcaraz is finally getting his rhythm back despite not being on his favorite surface and he looks to have gotten over his injury fully, and it would help him go further in this tournament.

This round has been one of the worst for me with only 1 hit in the answers so far, after Sinner's retirement now we only depend on the dota question if there will be a winner or if it will be a tie

It's a crazy round indeed, Jannik Sinner retiring have also ruined a lot of picks and I have bet on him, I hope it's going to get voided since the match wasn't completed right ? and I had him to win ML.

Medvedev is now trying to ruin the last part of everything for me, he's lost the first setnand he's still struggling to take any positive edge here in the second, would be such a for me if he does lose this, his entire body language doesn't seem motivated and lack confidence for this game, currently down by 2 games to 1 in the second set as well.
1653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: June 22, 2023, 03:42:12 PM
And Tsitsipas lost and ended the only hope for Bonta winning q8. Now if Mendveded wins I win, otherwise we draw.
Another shock result, but so far my tennis picks aren't among them.

I also had Tsitsipas too, along side Medvedev... Tsitstipas being Tsitsipas yet again eliminated flawlessly in the second round, I really should have stuck to my initial choice of Jannik Sinner or Zverev, they've been more consistent for me than Tsitsipas, I just always decide to learn my mistakes the hard way, don't I ?

Jannik Sinner had to come from being one set down to win the game in good rhythm, I'm sure the amount of players that choose Sinner as one of their  finalist must feel some awkward after he dropped the first set, but he didn't look nervous or phased and still play as though it was an even game. That's  how exactly how to earn people's trust if you ask me.

Meanwhile my opponent is actually one of the few users that picked neither Medvedev, nor Tsitsipas / Sinner, so I'm already at a disadvantage for that question, however,  I still can't back his pick of Hurkacz vs Zverev, Hurkacz, simply because Hurkacz could still face Rublev and Medvedev in the Quarter final and semi finals consecutively, that's quite a huge task to ask of him imo, while Zverev is also likely to face Sinner too, It's going to be tough, so I have to commend him for his predictions too because I don't think they're only just some gutsy picks, but rather some insightful ones. Had he not been my opponent for this week, I really would have wished he would win the round or at the very least that tennis section.

Elsewhere, Alcaraz is still proving to be a formidable force to be reckoned with in London, he's having a walk in the park against Lehecka here, so imo, he already should be looking forward to who is next opponent would be (I'd say Cerundolo)...
1654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 22, 2023, 04:05:55 AM
I think Joselu is the chosen reserve striker for Real Madrid. The fact that he is 33 years old makes me think. They could have transferred a younger and hungry player. Getafe's young striker Enes άnal could be one of them. He could have played for Joselu if he agreed to play as a substitute. I don't think it's a sensible transfer move.

Joselu is a fantastic player but maybe not what Real Madrid should have gone for, but you need to understand the circumstances surrounding Madrid reason for signing him, and it's solely because they need a replacement for departed Benzema before they'll go for Mbappe next season, Real Madrid are actually very smart not to have spend on big forward line when they're sure of landing Mbappe who have refused to renew is contract with PSG and would be a free agent by next summer, so it's a calculative move for Real Madrid, I'm sure they must have already finalized talks with Mbappe behind the scene that's not well opened to the general public.
1655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: June 21, 2023, 05:06:49 AM
Belgium are still unable to make a big improvement in their general performance. Their win in their first match in the qualifiers made me think about if they were better as of then. However the point loss against Austria caused all of my curiosity to be gone all of a sudden. It was a really poor performance about even shots on goal - 2 out of 17. This very unbalanced look prevents me from thinking positive about their future in such big tournaments. After having a disappointing run in the World Cup a similar thing might happen in Euro 2024 as well.

But let's evaluate the situation match by match so tonight I hope to see them getting a comfortable win against Estonia to improve their morale.

They won the match easily but they still need fresh legs in their team. The team is really old and used up and in 3-4 years those players wont be able to do anything at all. But i still dont see any young prospects that can carry Belgium in the next couple of years. We seen that this experienced old players didnt do anything on world cup

Getting a win against Estonia is never a way to evaluate your performance, especially if you're ranked as 4th best team in the world according to FIFA most recent football country ranking lists.

And for what it's worth, they might have gotten their win and the scoreline also suggest it was an easy win, however, I'm strongly opined that their style of play or overall performance is still well below par to me and they'll still struggle to compete at the top levels, and the Euro 2024 is actually not too far away as it would seem, so there is still a lot of adjustment and changes that needs to be implemented into the squad.

I felt completely let down by Sweden, I didn't expect them to lose to Austria, but the game was an outright Under 2.5 goals and I was very sure of that, the other question, I'm actually very surprised by the amount of player that went with Yes, I knew it was a trap, and honestly, all it took me was about 45 seconds to check each of those games to be sure not all of them will win their fixture.

Looking at my answers and I've already compared it to that of my opponent, I'm more than confident that I've secured this round already, I mean no disrespect, though Cool

Not a lot of time left for submitting answers, hurry up guys.

A big number of you did not submit yet - I know most are still waiting for tennis and DOTA.

We also have Kanapka with submitted answers, it is possible that he will take wwsocki's place starting from this round onwards. He did not sign up but if he's willing to play, he starts today against Dittoup.
We'll let you know as soon as we discuss it with him properly.

This would be a bad round to miss the deadline - you get -1 point but also lose 5 answers (2 EURO qualifiers, 2 tennis questions and DOTA) if you miss it by a second.

The following players did not submit yet, get your picks in!

I had my picks all saved already since yesterday but I wasn't sure about Alcaraz because of the injury he had in the Roland Garros semi-finals, I thought he could start slowly and could even lose the game, but I was almost right, it was a close one for Alcaraz to be honest, and if he struggled this much against the world No. 83, I wonder how he would fair against the like of Cerundolo, and Tiafoe / Norrie who are most likely to be his next tough opponents, provided he gets pass Jiri Lehecka, it would have been a good edge for a couple of us that to wait, had he lost the game today because that would have been some free points. Thoughts on Southampton's 2023/24 home kit that just dropped? It looks fire imo, and has that retro vibe going on. There are more pictures in the link above.

Trust me, I already have perfect outfit that would strike a fashion killer in my head for this rare gem, what could be rather more not so classy but fashion ingenuity than rocking this Shirt on a black jean, probably a Balmain Paris Denim and a pair of white Supreme Air Force 1 with Red Laces on a weekend trip with friends for a couple of beers  Grin

One thing i noticed, Gouiri its 23 years old, why he can play U21? its like the olimpic rule where you can have 3 players above the age?.

Not really, the rule is quite different this time around, The age bracket when it comes to eligibility for Euro U21 is usually a bit complex, for instance this year Euro U21 qualification phase started about one-two years ago, and during that period players would surely have been a year or 2 older, so it will be very unfair for a player that was allowed to participate in the qualifier ineligible for the main tournament, hence UEFA often taken a specific date prior to the qualifying stages so players 21 or younger as at then will all be eligible for the tournament in case of this year's Euro 21, players Born on
January 1st, 2000 or later are all eligible to partake in the tournament, according to the UEFA U21 webpage.

Article 42 Player eligibility
42.01
Each association must select players for its national representative team who hold the nationality of its country and who comply with the provisions of Articles 5 to 9 of the Regulations Governing the Application of the FIFA Statutes.

42.03
Players are eligible to play in the competition if they were born on or after 1 January 2000.
