1661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ESSENTIA - The Decentralised User Becomes a Reality on: January 17, 2019, 09:25:00 AM

Masternode will be 100k ESS, supernodes details are still to be fully confirmed! Yes, the team will be updating this article with the weekly updates and progress

So for supernodes will be needed more coins than for masternode? As I know for mastenode people must have much more coins and must have more technical requiments (good VPS or dedicated servers etc.) while for supernode will be enough running on PC.
How many max supernodes will be running? Or amount of nodes will be unlimited?

You're probably talking from PAL or similar coin perspective, but this is ESS...it would be crazy to put more demand on masternode
owners, and then reward them only fraction of what supernodes get

Evo jedan moj post za prijavit glede Essentia masternode matematike

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2704531.msg49268894#msg49268894

1664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ESSENTIA - The Decentralised User Becomes a Reality on: January 16, 2019, 08:20:47 PM

Masternode will be 100k ESS, supernodes details are still to be fully confirmed! Yes, the team will be updating this article with the weekly updates and progress

So which will require more tokens to run? a master or super node?

100k is pretty cheap right now... I was expecting that to be the amount for the higher level node.
Would be great to have the team provide more details

Masternode IS lowest level

Also, cheap masternode means low rewards, too...probably less coins than cost of electricity

based on current price, and amount of coins put aside for node rewards, those coins are worth 51 BTC

Now, lets consider for a moment we spread those 51BTC over 1500 days, thats 0.034 BTC total daily reward

Lets for a moment forget about supernodes, 820 accounts have more than 100k ESS, so eligible for running MN

That equals about 4100 satoshis per day (15 cents) per masternode

All we know about supernodes is that they'll be available for presale ICO buyers, and supernodes will get 75% coins, masternodes will get 25%

So final daily reward for masternodes will be around 4 cents per day (or $14.6 per year)

Now we only need to know how much electricity is needed to run masternode

Would You, my-local-people, agree to un-ban account, disable signature and remove regulus from merit source? It's not that it's going to happen anyway.
So lets make it clear here

it would be OK, if we will be strict about following rules?

Testing grounds for text spinner? Well, that is fastest way to get permaban.
Surprising. Roll Eyes It seems to me that more people have a burning desire to get banned and neg. rated.

Nice way to SPIN my words...but I already noticed some old legendary members obsessed more with punishing people
left and right and making newbie life miserable, than trying to help people...like giving already banned people
negative trust
1666  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal RegulusHr on: January 16, 2019, 01:08:28 PM
But if you fought for someone before, and now insist
RegulusHR should be banned because someone else you liked was banned for same thing. , thats
hypocritical in my book.
No, it is not. It is called accepting the forum's policy and trying to be consistent afterwards.

1667  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal RegulusHr on: January 16, 2019, 12:48:33 PM

Out of curiosity, what did RegulusHR lied about?
Nobody was talking about Regulus.

Sorry, was lazy to check actual reason, I thought you were speaking about reason you gave RegulusHR
negative trust.

Now that I see you wrote

"Stealing other people's work/text is not trustworthy."

do you think he was really "stealing other people's work"?

I think he was just lazy...but I so many times saw similar behavior (and reported it), but people
weren't lazy and changed a word here and there or used posting bot to post spam, and they were
not banned...so (for me) this ban is pretty extreme (and if some cases you spoke mentioned were the same,
of course I think the same about those cases too). But if you fought for someone before, and now insist
RegulusHR should be banned because someone else you liked was banned for same thing. , thats
hypocritical in my book.
If they ban you next day because of same offense, I won't insist your ban stay
just because you were supporting RegulusHR ban
1668  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal RegulusHr on: January 16, 2019, 11:59:41 AM

You do risk negative trust by lying not by voicing opinions.

1670  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal RegulusHr on: January 15, 2019, 11:06:38 PM
His account was 2 months old...that would in my book be "forum childhood"
If he was banned then, he'd maybe learn it hard way, make another account and he'd now be with us, with clean account.

Ban evasion is against the rules so that's probably not helping the argument. Let's wait for TPTB to pitch in here.

I reported a lot of obvious post farming posts for bounty reasons, and those people are still having
their accounts because they use software to juggle few words and evade plagiarism ban.
In my book, thats way more "ban evasive" than making another account and starting as Newbie account,
yet I still see them posting. No perfect world, I guess
1671  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal RegulusHr on: January 15, 2019, 10:26:08 PM
So, yes, he made a mistake. Twice. Who knows, maybe even more than that. But, it is very important to note that he made mistakes a long time ago.
Punishing him now is like punishing a good old man for something he did when he was a kid.

That's a huge exaggeration. Something from year ago is not at all like something from one's childhood. I doubt the OP a year ago was a child or otherwise not fit to be held accountable for their actions.

And we're not talking crime and punishment or anything of the sort here. If one can't be bothered to put effort into pretty much the main thing one does on a forum, i.e. creating posts, then this privilege can be taken away from them.

His account was 2 months old...that would in my book be "forum childhood"

Banning him after so much time is more harm than good, IMHO, and to not repeat what others said, I support returning
him his account for reasons they already stated
1672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best crypto to buy now? on: January 14, 2019, 05:20:55 PM
Right now there should be no other coin on the top of the list but ethereum. Constantinople accompanied with two other hard forks that are giving free coins is hard to resist. I am not sure about ethereum nowa but ethereum and this etcv looks good.

Etc proved to be even bigger scam than nowa, it seems.
Meanwhile, coin that I recommended since august..
-snip-
The coins you listed seems to be good and I'm holding some of it. But, I don't see them as the best crypto to buy now as the topic of this thread cause they are not performing well in the market. However we can't say ETC is scam because we both know that the crypto market is not doing good since last year.

ETC was typo, I was thinking ETCV...and screenshot I listed was about CHT Smiley
That coin is pegged to USD and didn't have single red week for 6 months

25 weeks ago I chose Counthinghouse token...didn't regret for a day
Counting House really regret for me, i was got 2000 token but i sold very early when total i got 3 ETH(when eth price was 300$) but still now forkdelta it's trading 39 ETH. What a big regret. But i don't know this promising coin still not listed in coinmarketcap even it's traded by contract address.

You can trade it on few more exchanges now...LAtoken, DDEX...

Latest calculation I saw said 330 sia coins per terabyte per month...so ten 12TB disks
would give about 40 000 SCs per month, or about 93 USD (minus cost of running that setup)

It worthwhile to read through this article for anyone that haven't already.

Article is very old (in crypto terms, that is) and too technical for majority of users, while not revealing any
info about tokenomics
1679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ESSENTIA - The Decentralised User Becomes a Reality on: January 13, 2019, 03:58:00 PM
How many Ess tokens will be needed for masternode? As I remember they said about 100k for supernode, but how many for masternode? Why they don't have any update about masternodes, about their collaboration with Finnish government? This looks like that they slowly gone away from project...

Forget about the masternode for now... The current price for a superNode is ~ $80. If your in ESS for the long haul, it might be wise to grab enough tokens for a supernode…

At this point I'm planning to run both nodes, maybe a couple of each... whenever that comes. I was hoping the mainnet would have been launched and we would be preparing for nodes, but I assume it's going to be 6months+ before this happens.

Long waits in crypto land these days.

Wrong...so far only 2 things were revealed:

1. masternode (not supernode) has 100k ESS requirement
2. supernodes are only for presale investors (not ICO, not bounty hunters, not people buying after ICO)
1680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ESSENTIA - The Decentralised User Becomes a Reality on: January 11, 2019, 02:33:52 PM
because people like spreading negativity and it will take some time to download a program, they are too busy with spamming here

That doesn't make sense at all...why its not the same with other projects, like Ethos superwallet?

Why that one has 100X more downloads?
