Do you know what's wrong? Are you being DDoS'd?

Past few days yes, right now no. That isn't 100% responsible for the issues though.

We just uploaded a change a minute ago, sockets now work 100%. We made a lot of changes the past 24 hours,  please refresh and if you are still unable to chat/see the bet stream let me know.

In other words, the site finally works! Welcome to PD3.1

Downtime whilst we try some server distribution tricks to hopefully fix some issues

I have a, probably naive, question:

In sites like dicebitco.in, where almost all of bankroll consists of players' investments,
what prevents the owner of the site from playing (as a player) against the site,
and winning big amounts -- I assume the owner has access to the random seeds, no?

Thank you.

I assume one can ask a similar question about pvp:
In theory, is it possible that the owner of the site plays pvp as a regular player,
but learns the opponent's seed before choosing a seed for himself?

Yeah it is possible for me personally to play PVP against other players if I was so inclined. I recommend only playing versus friends or well established individuals if for massive amounts. We could potentially add in a non-instant mode to fix this issue but I see no instant method that would prevent someone with the seeds from playing.

primedice isn't loading for me on Firefox / opera / chrome / internet explorer :S?

Are you getting any sort of error message or just infinitely loading? Also does your console give any errors? Thanks

Ps. Don't use the newst chrome, it not working.

use Version 36.0.1985.143 m < < < < <

Will look into this.
1667  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Anony seems to be a scammer :| on: September 03, 2014, 06:07:18 AM
Those accounts were way before I even made Anony, when I first started in btc, and before I even started in PD. None the less, shutting down a site due to the owner being a lying bag of trash, is not being a scammer, nor do I like being labeled as a scammer. Like I said, I have received one loan from bipolarbob, which was a .15 loan for a week and I repaid .35 back to him, I am far from being a scammer, or don't you think I would have taken money from all of the PD members who have trusted me in HOLDING their btc for them? Come on Stunna, I have done nothing but be a part of the family here at PD, and it's where I call home.

Also, you won't hear much from minerdirect as other members of the bitcointalk community soon realized I was right about him, and soon began uncovering the truth. Haven't seen him since.

I'll reserve final personal judgement when I get the full story from minerdirect or perhaps someone who has neg trusted you in the past such as tomatocage.
1668  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 5500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: September 03, 2014, 05:12:16 AM
Seriously through, primedice is down everyday now. I have no idea why they upgraded their site without any testing whatsoever Stupid stupid move. People will and have gone elsewhere now.  Plus there was always something funky with the odds there when betting .01 or higher. This site looks like they have there s#$$# together..

I must've missed that one. Got a link or source?

Don't want to drag this thread off topic but:

Here's the relevant link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias

PD was provably fair last I checked.

I still respect their opinion on downtime though, that is indeed a valid point and something we're working on. As mentioned I am sorry to have digressed from DB discussion, will not be responding further to this here.

He's been demodded from primedice, It is really painful to do so as he's been active for quite some time but the evidence seems pretty conclusive. He also emails us from a "joshjones" email. It's just really sad because he seemed like a geniunely nice guy but his interests seem to be in a long-con. Being a moderator on primedice or any website is not proof of trust, be careful and only lend to those who provide collateral.

Thank you to the person who provided this information to me, likely prevented a pretty significant scam. Not listing their name here as they may want to remain anonymous. I feel pretty betrayed, but I am happy to know the truth.

I won't lie, I was PlanKton/DestiiX but I never once scammed someone. I shutdown a site that was being run by a low life scammer who was taking others BTC. I received a 0.15 loan from bipolarbob, which I repaid back .35 to months ago. And yes I have been asking for a pretty significant loan, and was only mentioning that I was a mod for PD, not basing the entire loan upon that though. I have not one time taken out a loan from someone and not repaid, in fact I've only ever received 1 loan, the 0.15 from bipolarbob.

I'd like to hear more from minerdirect about this, for what reason would you create alt accounts to request loans though in the first place. You could have asked for such loans from anony directly?
1670  Economy / Scam Accusations / Anony suspicious activity [closed] on: September 03, 2014, 04:34:39 AM
Closing this as there was no proven scam that occurred, some suspicious behavior/activity though. Please PM me if you have any relevant information regarding this case. Have removed my negative trust for now unless more information comes to light

As always I will gladly read and consider some sort of rebuttal from Anony.
1671  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game| 0.91% Edge| PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: September 03, 2014, 03:17:25 AM
Right now site works on chrome, with chat being spastic and randomly stopping with working

We uploaded a few changes, is chat still randomly freezing for you?

Mobile?

As soon as we finish sorting this socket nightmare.
1672  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game| 0.91% Edge| PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: September 02, 2014, 01:59:16 AM
Takes a while to load in to the site and once I am in chat still does not work at all... Shocked Huh

Chat/all bets and anything running on sockets do not work for probably around 30% of users. You can still bet/deposit/cashout.

Sockets update is coming within 24 hours, we're making a drastic change with how we utilize them rather than continuing to troubleshoot.
1673  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game| 0.91% Edge| PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: September 01, 2014, 11:20:58 PM
It's pretty much impossible to play pvp right now with the chat problems, I hope it gets fixed soon.

Now that the site seems to be up/stable our current goal is fixing sockets so you can chat/see all bets.
1674  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game| 0.91% Edge| PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: September 01, 2014, 09:49:14 PM
The players are the whole reason why PD exists.  Why does it take Stunna 3 hours to post what's going on when it goes down?

The site has a tendency to go down the second I leave my computer or sleep unfortunately. We're doing our best, I'm sorry for the inconvenience as always.
1675  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game| 0.91% Edge| PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: September 01, 2014, 09:34:04 PM
Our developer has found a way to fix lag/sockets hopefully permanently using a third party service. We are currently working on setting that up.

For now we are fixing the lag, putting the site back up and then working on the socket fix.
1676  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game| 0.91% Edge| PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: September 01, 2014, 06:25:33 AM

Close call!

Will be staying awake all night trying to solve sockets/optimization issues today. Really sorry to those who are encountering issues.
1678  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game| 0.91% Edge| PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: August 31, 2014, 01:05:22 PM
Not working on Firefox 31.0, Windows 8.1. Site doesn't load, dice keeps spinning.

In Chrome site loads, but chat and all bets tab still broken Chrome works.. but sporadically.
EDIT: stops working after a minute. Have to restart chrome to make it work again.

Might have just figured it out thanks to this comment...

Waiting on dev to get on.
1679  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game| 0.91% Edge| PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: August 31, 2014, 12:50:32 PM
Fixed the issue whereby some people couldn't connect to chat etc. Also sped up the site.

Can you guys who had problems give me some quick feed back and tell me if it's all good now?

Edit: Wait up not quite there. Give me a minute

Not working for me.
Same. It's frozen when I load up the page and any messages I post don't reach the chat. It sometimes manages to connect for a minute or 2 but then goes offline again.

Hey what OS and browser are you using? Are you on a Mac by any chance?
1680  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game| 0.91% Edge| PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: August 31, 2014, 07:35:08 AM
Okay got most performance issues solved. Everything should be running smooth.

Feed back would be appreciated from people previously not having a smooth experience!
