But whats the problem then? Bitmain didnt block more than x miners per user. If someone was lucky to get hands on all miners in one go i say good job. Just because u wasnt that person that mean u have to cry and accused for not being supportive?
How would you comment all this if this one person who bough all miners was you?

I have to agree, I noticed several people complaining about not being able to by had multiple units in their cart, sure ir ead one person complain he did not get to buy the 6 miners in his cart..... pot kettle black.
1723  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: February 16, 2014, 10:36:07 AM
If we take a look at the numbers, we can see that:

The power consumption of the new chips (3rd gen) is 0.2~0.35 J/GHash [1];
and the power consumption of the chips about to be sold is 600 W/THash = 0.6 J/GHash [2].

The numbers are different, so are the chips, seemingly.

this could be the reseller protecting himself against possible performance discrepancies
1724  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 16, 2014, 10:09:51 AM
I completely agree this is not the place to get into a debate over manufacturers, but discussing future hardware projections is beneficial to buyers, sorry if you don't see that.

One last thing, I never knew BFL were trusted, but somehow many people were silly enough to give them money for vaporware, with no real proof they could achieve the task in the time frame set out. Bitfountain on the other hand, well going by past experience, production speed and volume, i really think they will do okay.

I had never preordered anything until recently(KnC neptune, only because they have delivered before) and i generally don't recommend it, I have not recommended anyone to go preorder with this chinese reseller of AM, but i do think the miner specification information is relevant to ALL buyers from any manufacturer, hence why this info is posted in the KnC thread, blackarrow thread and hashfast.

edit: you never know Bitmain might just start producing Bitfountain chip based miners, if the raw costs are worth it compared to his current opperation. The chip spec, cost and time fram bitfountain are offering is very competitive and will make things much more interesting.
1725  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 16, 2014, 09:44:52 AM

P.S. that is one big assumption you're making about me knowing little about bitcoin or Friedcat, just because my opinion differs from yours... I know enough not to buy any pre-orders... ever!

oh, comparing Bitfountain to BFL is a big mistake, one of these companies rocks, the other doesn't Wink

premined or preordered, very similar in this day and age.
1726  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 16, 2014, 09:21:22 AM
You obviously know little about bitfountain or Friedcat.
This info is very much so relavent to many buyers and helps them choose to buy now or prepare for.the future.

I would call bitfountains news of gen3 miners as important as when they flooded the market with 335mhs USB miners.

Chances of bitmain coming out with a new generation of chips before April are slim if you ask me and a 1thps antminer will pull about 2000w, which is just not scalable in normal environments.

2thps antminer for 4kw or 5thps for 3kw....... I know which I would rather be running in April.

asicminer 1TH miners will be coming soon  Roll Eyes

edit. Oh, thats $1800 /1THPS
edit. oh and 600w/1THPS

Factor in 4-5 difficulty increases before delivery and this a modest improvement over getting say five S1 today for around $5000, so worth watching but not necessarily worth the risk of a preorder.  Maybe, maybe not in my opinion.

The specs are from a highly respected chinese reseller. The info is taken from his weibo page. Miner protection is offfered, in terms of preorders I trust friedcat and hia team more than any offer manufacturer.

Scalability at 1thps per 600w is much nicer than 180gh for 380w

Don't like quoting myself, buy I feel it relevant and the comment was lost in what I can only presume is pages of FUD as I stopped reading this tin foil hat thread.

So I was enquiring about refunds made in btc...... I said I dont have a bank account.

Refunds are processed in USD via bank transfer, Only management can approve BTC refunds and they are not given for single Neptune purchases.

Bfgminer just names your asic 0-3. So working out the control board placement is irrelevant I think. I have not done this so could be wrong though

2. Pending withdrawal of your Bitcoins; time lock?

How about allowing us to specify a withdrawal address that is then locked; coins can only be sent to this address. It can be unlocked, but upon doing so an email is sent notifying me that it's been unlocked and it takes a further 7 days or so before a new address can be entered?

Yep, this would be a great feature.

Does not stop a hacker selling your shares for dirt cheap to himself.
1738  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CEX.IO on: February 14, 2014, 03:30:45 PM
What gets me is 4thps goes offline for HOURS missing several block rewards, some I am even charged a fee out of my account balance as maintenence. .... but for what my hashrate is offline due to technical issues.

Then compensation doesn't come as 2x hashrate for same duration as downtime. It comes as a massive lump of hash totalling the down time but only 5minutes they give me this massive hashrate, basically robbing me of any luck variance.

1739  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CEX.IO on: February 14, 2014, 09:01:29 AM
cex.io sucks. Bought some hashrate and they cannot even keep it online and steadily make real payouts.
