1722  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [FREE] BitcoinDice 1.0 - Free Open Source Dice Script - Run Your Own Casino on: August 22, 2014, 12:20:51 AM
Hello Everyone,

We have released BitcoinDice 1.0 - Free to use and free to distribute, You can download it from github, Please read the readme.md for instructions on how to install (This is very important)

https://github.com/felinegambler/BitcoinDice

The Script has many features, including chat, statistics, admin panel, adjustable house edge and is provably fair.

Please see the four images here - http://imgur.com/3FZqrdt,b5dUwEc,LoifRxZ,rrT5kU1#0

Good Luck and have fun running your own casino!
The theme design is very, very, very similar to PrimeDice's theme. Wink

To be fair, they ripped it off from another guy who ripped it off of PD. Some guy called johnny sells scripts of a site similar to PD for 1btc and this guy appears to have that script and is simply offering it for free (perhaps with a backdoor?)

If you didn't receive payment and have Pmed me I am working through those

Here's the full list of participants for September:
-snip-
Very interesting list indeed. Does this mean that it's possible that the list will change in September again or just that there will be an updated one in case some people drop out and such?
You should also update the OP with the enrollment link.

Just updated and TBD on whether or not this list will be updated in the future. Nobody else will be allowed in though unless they are staff.

I just put my name when I signed up. I was doing bets and chatting and then got kicked out for the mait. Now it is not letting me back in. Can I play under my original name or am I SoL?

Had the same problem it might have saved the session
The site is down for now so it might let you in later to set up a password

This had to do with the site switching from http to https I'd imagine. You could try loading the http site and if that still wants to redirect to https your best bet is to send an email to support.

Also with regards to the query we were going to run on pd2 bets, this will be done when our pd2 developer is back from vacation.

HOLY SHIT I am still fucking shocked this even happened. I was on Primedice chat last night just fauceting (cause I'm poor) and look who pooped up. COSMOTHEGOD AND SAVAGED! (CosmoTheGod, Savaged). It was really them, they weren't trolling. Take a look at these

Google "cosmothegod news" you will find tons of shit. He has 100K twitter followers, and offered to follow me for 100 BTC xD.

I was having fun talking with them as well
Random people like to show up now and then

Going to post this in a few places to see who else got that issue.

This will be fixed today, and ssl will finally be applied.

Also we've been having a pretty interesting group of regulars on the PD chat. I recall reading an article on one of those people you mentioned a while ago.
1730  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 4000+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: August 21, 2014, 07:53:50 PM
How can we know they won't run away with 4000+BTC (2.000.000 $)?

I don't trust even to my father, how can people invest thousand of btcs... Interesting.

Here's my take:

This isn't the major risk in my opinion, the inherent risk you need to consider is the possibility that an operator will play against their own investors. This is pretty much impossible to detect/prove. Someone could run an investment based site for years and profit off commissions and playing against investors and then run with the bankroll if they were so inclined. This is one of the primary reasons why I'm not interested in dealing with investments at the moment, it requires too much trust. When you weigh the risk of an operator playing against the casino, your expected value from the investment quickly dips and when you factor in the chance of the site getting "hacked this probably drops negative.

I'm not trying to accuse dicebitco of anything as they are possibly legitimate, but in my opinion pretty much every major scam in bitcoin has occurred when the amount at stake becomes greater than the reputation. Can anyone firmly argue that dicebitco.in has proven themselves trustworthy to handle well over $2M in bitcoin, I don't think anyone would agree with that if weighing the facts alone. The only facts we have is that they ran a litecoin gambling site which had relative success but pales in comparison to the current site they are running and also the fact that dooglus has a small amount invested.

I do have some doubts with this site as I did with Everydice. The gain exceeded the reputation and they seemed to have made off with investor funds as a result. They weren't met with as much success though given that just-dice was operating during that time period, but they still made off with a couple hundred coins it seems.

I've debated posting something like this for a while as I fear it will make me even more hated in the investment communities which often assume I'm a miserly asshole judging from my brief viewing of one of the chatrooms earlier today.  I'm not accusing dicebitco.in of scamming or acting unethically as there is no proof of anything of that sort,  it's just important to treat investments like this as a gamble which it truly is. I choose to keep 100% of my earnings in bitcoin which is a significant gamble in its own, however I am still too risk averse to consider any sort of bitcoin "investment". I was surprised that dicebitcoin did not take dooglus up on his offer which seemed like a no-brainer which is partially why I ended up posting this. Even if they considered a multisig it wouldn't mean much, I was hoping they would create some sort of fair scheme where dooglus will generate their rolls and access the seeds.

At the end of the day purely based off expected value I am not willing to risk my bitcoins on an investment site that in my opinion has a 50-50 chance of not playing against the house or running with funds. Feel free to disagree, many people will believe this comes from a biased perspective but this is just my personal take and I feel I've raised at least one valid argument.

tl;dr Bitcoin investments are gambling and often don't end well, risk what you are willing to lose

EDIT: Everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves, as does dicebitco. I'm just hoping people understand and weigh the potential risks.

Yeh, that!

We'll be back up shortly, no idea really as AWS doesn't give us an ETA. Just rebooting the database which is a hefty job when working with something the size of Primedice's database. After this is done the site will run even more smoother than it already did! We want to get things PERFECT Wink

I withdrew around 1 hour ish ago and it still has not arrived in my wallet , so definitely not instant with me.

Every time I saw that complaint about a Just-Dice withdrawal, I asked the person what wallet they were using, and they always said "blockchain.info".

It seems that the b.i wallet often doesn't see unconfirmed transactions.

Arent the withdrawals manual? So it might just be that no one approved the withdrawal...

Should be automatic, haven't heard of any delays regarding cashouts.  Perhaps this is related to the blockchain downtime earlier today.

In roughly an hour from now we will be going down for 30 minutes to perform some maintenance/fixes. (around 7AM forum time)

If I am using Bit-stamp as my wallet, when I send and receive coins should it still be instant? Because I've deposited/withdrew many times and there has not been a single time where it's been instant o.o

Yeh try using a wallet like Electrum. It's most likelt Bitstamp.

When you do the cashout does it return a TXID straight after? You can chuck that into www.blockchain.info and it'll display the transaction has been sent.

I found a pretty important bug while betting, where do I submit it?

here support@primedice.com

Whats the bounty amounts usually. I dont want to be ripped off like others (bounty already claimed, etc , etc)

LOL

How are they ripped off? If it isn't reported u get bounty.

Do u need some actual proofs that its reported before ? Cheesy

Bounty's are not so big , well they are if u report some big security exploit or something like that.
But for rest its usually not that big.

Anything that can be exploited = hefty bounty

We are less interested in cosmetic reports at the moment.

Most recent reports have been typos and someone reporting that the "english" top right button was not working however this is just due to the fact that english is the only current language.

Again to repeat myself to ensure no one feels cheated by:

The code we provided on our verification page was slightly outdated as we changed the privably fair system to use less data. That is all.

All bets however DO ADD UP perfectly fine if you modify the script to the correct one.

Any reputable person (Dooglus etc.) who has a sound understanding on provably fairness can verify this. No one had rolls manipulated.
