EDIT: We have to use probably both Ninja tactics AND Spartan (heroic, self sacrificing groups of people)
EDIT 2: Anyone thinking just to get rich and 'escape' by himself is delusional IMHO. Also, if you think we are not at war... (last edit not directed to you TPTB)

+2.  (there were 2 points Wink )

A highly public conscientious objector noncompliance group, who declare sovereignty from geographical countries (defacto bankster rule), or submit to their rule but only in the matters that are not against human rights as defined by the UN and interpreted by the group themselves, which include the right to treat anything to your physical, mental and spiritual being (freedom of food, drugs, information and consciousness) and refuse to be treated with stuff you don't appreciate, under no circumstances can morally force/permit you to give out access to your crypto, and require your consent to tax you (as there is no exception to voluntary dealings rule just on the grounds that someone needs your money and has the racket to take it).

The "creed" or "declaration of independence" is short and appealing to people who can't understand why a gang that calls itself "government" is empowered to do stuff, which is unlawful for its constituents (the people), who are even punished by the government for doing it! The leaders have full-color information pages in the professional website, they live their lives with drone videocameras recording all they do, the footage can be used against the infringers of their freedom and sovereignty. Surely some of them will be thrown to jail and to prison, but even killing them is a tough call as the whole struggle is marketed to the masses as a better reality TV.

So most of the freedom movement is underground, and the leading figures who show by example are in a real danger of getting a long prison sentence (but that will cause a public outcry if applied). If they are harassed too much, and if what we offer is better than the current system (the system is making this one easier by the visible degradation of their alternative  Embarrassed Wink ), anything they do just heaps coal upon their head. If they "finish it off", they lose, as the masses will get a shock therapy and start to fear for their existence, quickly regenerating the movement. If they fight against it with soft means, it is a war of attrition, but we will spend the time getting the masses (de-)educated while their position gets more untenable by the year. If they let it be, it spreads like wildfire as nobody will pay taxes if they can avoid it just by joining a movement.

Don't get depressed, nor violent! In the Internet age, public, even marketed, civil disobedience is more fun, and more effective than ever!  Grin

I don't have time to watch the video. Summary?

It is on old interview of Castoriadis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornelius_Castoriadis) where he discusses the issue of autonomy of the individual & the societies as it first manifested in ancient Greek cities and then later on in Western societies.

From the video description:
'Interview with Cornelius Castoriadis for the Greek television network ET1, for the show "Paraskinio," 1984 (with English-language subtitles). This documentary describes the life and the work of Cornelius Castoriadis and his turning from Marxism to the ideas of autonomy.
Central role in this film plays the concept of autonomy. They are being presented two historical moments of autonomous societies - the ancient Greek democracy and the medieval European communities. The democracy of ancient Athens formulates the ideas of the big philosopher and his definitions for direct democracy and autonomy.
What means "politics"? What means "revolution" nowadays? Which is the crisis of the western societies? To these questions Castoriadis search answers all his life. But in order to find such, he quits from the ready ideological answers and he decides not to follow dogmas. In the film it is presented his critic to capitalistic system as well as to the soviet regime and to Marxism. "Nowadays the dilemma is to be or a Marxist or a revolutionary" he claims. In this "no-way out" situation, he proposes to us the alternative of self-management and autonomy.

Cornelius Castoriadis was a Greek- French philosopher, economist and psychoanalyst. His interest in so many cognitive fields such as philosophy, politics, psychoanalysis, economy and biology makes him to be considered as one of the most important philosophers of the 20th century. The concept of autonomy, individual and social one, appears to be a key theme in his work, gaining him the title of "Philosopher of Autonomy". Etymologically, the term autonomy describes the situation in which one society creates itself its laws and institutions.
He lived most of his life in France, where together with personalities such as Lyotard, Guy Debord and Lefort, he co-founded the journal "Socialism or Barbarism", whose texts and ideas strongly influenced the events of May '68. His is author of "The Imaginary Institution of Society" - a work which provokes an explosion to our habits, an explosion of free thought. A work, which represents an intellectual May '68 and just like him, the work of Castoriadis cannot easily be forgotten.'

Demand is clearly in control in sharp contrast to the GBTC.

This is how all markets work, what's your point?

That old ladies are in fact (a notable part of) the Chinese traders and investors who are still determining the price of bitcoin...
Lol Smiley

You know the story with the Japanese women and Forex right?

I wonder if some of these old ladies short selling!  Cool
1745  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 19, 2015, 07:16:51 AM
I bet that the old ladies in China who define the price of bitcoin have never heard of either.
Heh, that actually got a chuckle out of me. You gonna show us that article, or is it another "me telling you so is proof" shit you usually go with when asked to demonstrate something?

I already posted many times this article, that describes the typical Chinese traders and investors who caused the Nov/2013 rally:

Christian Science Monitor 2013-12-06
Why the Chinese can't get enough of Bitcoin - despite bank ban
http://www.csmonitor.com/World/Asia-Pacific/2013/1206/Why-the-Chinese-can-t-get-enough-of-Bitcoin-despite-bank-ban

Every trader should be aware of that information.  Understandably, it is never mentioned by the bitcoin "news" media or the Antonopouloses, Winklegosses, Andreessens, Sielberts, etc..  Do I need to explain why?

A briefer but more specific description of those traders and investors is in that talk by Huobi's Wendy Wang that I posted earlier, around the 00:14:00 mark.

Later in that talk she gives some interesting gossip about the mining situation in China and the mining pool that they manage (Discus Fish, IIRC).

This is how all markets work, what's your point?
99% of investors are sheep.

No offense..
1746  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Are People So Pigheaded About Future Bitcoin Price? on: May 19, 2015, 07:13:52 AM
It's really starting to annoy me.

I mean, the price of bitcoin has been falling for at least 15 months. It could continue to go down, there is no guarantee it will go up.

Yet you still get all these idiots going "if it drops I will buy more" ... How much lower you want it to go ffs.

"people are waiting for the price to go even lower so they can buy more coins" ... really?
Also, since 14 Jan we are higher (4 months).

You have to take into account this too.

When BTC bottomed at 50$ after the 266$ high, it hit 65$ and people were posting threads like yours Wink

Not saying it will not go lower than 14 Jan but we have to see the market from many PoVs...
1747  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Are People So Pigheaded About Future Bitcoin Price? on: May 19, 2015, 07:08:15 AM
Because with GBTC & ETN XBT (and possibly COIN ETF) & halving chances are we won't visit sub 200 at all (maybe in a flash down to 170).

I hate to speculate as I am following mainly TA for my trading/investing which does not extrapolate to the future (speculation) but some basic supply & demand speculation I think is ok.

For the first time after China entered the market we have new fiat revenues and this will probably mean that sooner or later the trend will reverse (atm above 250 according to my TA).

Often, fundamental analysis means nothing to the price (for the better or worse)...
1748  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: May 19, 2015, 06:37:11 AM
TPTB_need_war do you think technology per se can help us?

I think it needs a political battle too from the people - time to unite & challenge this elite!

Tools/weapons will be of great help but 'blood' will be needed too.

If we are fragmented and isolated to each other behind anonymity, stealthiness etc how can we win this battle?

Guerilla warfare is enough?

Just questions that I have no definite answer...

1749  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of the Bear Trend on: May 19, 2015, 06:12:00 AM
support is failing at bottom of that channel, perhaps lower parallel will manifest somewhere near my lower dotted trendline ...

This is the same support in P&F,

1750  Economy / Speculation / Re: PnF TA on: May 19, 2015, 05:20:42 AM
So we made another box size down to 232$

We could do one more down to 228 and still the bulls have hope that their trend is still valid.

Besides the bearish/bullish support lines, there are normal support/resistance too - this is where the last O or X stopped at previous columns.
So here 228 acts as support in both ways.

Sometimes the price falls just above the breakout O (in this case 224, eg 224.1, 225 etc) and then bounces back up.

And there are bear traps as well:

Horizontal support at 168, 196, 204, 212, 216, 220

So to sum up, not every double top/bottom break is a signal, you have to take into account the overall picture as usual.

Personally I would sell below 225 because we failed to penetrate the bearish resistance line once again and the middle of the O column would have fallen below the SMA.
But I would not go short because of the many resistances from 210 to 220.
1751  Economy / Speculation / Re: KncMiner XBT: 851 BTC traded at 235.26$ on: May 18, 2015, 03:14:08 PM

Looks like a big seller, most likely KNC, sat right at 9.73/XBT all day on the ask.  Which pretty much capped the price.
Interesting why they wouldn't try to get some sort of BTC premium like GBTC was getting.

The ETN is supposed to track the value of the underlying asset (Bitcoin).

I tried it today...

XBT Provider ETN is live and listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm as of today.

I just bought me a Bitcoin, via my brokerage account,
with one click, with no signup, with no delay.

Cheesy Shocked Grin

Pretty sweet.

200 shares of XBT tracker ≈ one Bitcoin.

Some of the best things about this:

There's no hassle and worry about security.

It's instant.

It tracks the price faithfully.

I'd say this is easily the best way to get exposure to Bitcoin.

So, yeah. I'll definitely recommend this to people.

The only "bad" thing is... The Winklewii got scooped. Again. Cheesy

In order to join my trading team at SLACK please PM me (do not bother with newbie accts!).

==================================================================================

While being bored from the sideway movement, I decided to start this thread.

It is TA based on Point & Figure method.
You can learn the basics here:
http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school:chart_analysis:pnf_charts:pnf_basics

So on Bitfinex buy signal is at 252, sell signal at 224 (HL, Traditional, Box size 4$, Reversal 3):
Bullish support 228-236, bearish resistance 240-248.

Important thing to notice is the thick red Bearish Resistance line, from the last ATH (at about 1200$) - this is the resistance we keep failing to break.
If we break it, technically we won't be in bear market until a new bearish resistance line forms which we won't be able to penetrate.
Often, when this line is penetrated a bull market starts.

Bullish support lines are the green ones, the thick green gave us the last double top break after the previous double bottom break.

Yellow line is SMA of 10 columns. The middle of the column is where to focus relative to this line. So, the last red Os column not below the MA yet.

As you can all see the triangle has to break sooner or later!

If demand gets big there yes (if we see price above 275 at least)

Can anyone tell the page where the XBT TRacker One will be listed?  A search for "XBT" on the NASDAQ Nordic site does not turn up anything...

Was "May 18" a firm date, or just an "expected date"?

Some decent buying action today, it seems! Have we decided on a theory about what caused that bull-run on BTC-e? If it was inside knowledge, I think other exchanges wouldn't have lagged behind that much, volume-wise it doesn't make sense to just buy on one exchange if you buy those amounts, IMO.
Well thought!
