1741  Other / Meta / Re: Gangs of BitcoinTalk :) on: February 18, 2020, 06:12:06 PM
I don't seem to be in any gangs. I was going to say that if there is a gang bang, please can I join in, but I'm not sure that we have any girls here any more.

Opps, I can't say girls any more. The last girls I referred to as a girl, said I had to refer to females as binaries. I really don't understand this woke stuff.
1742  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Now you have to worry about a new way spread of coronavirus. on: February 17, 2020, 08:53:50 AM
What's going to be next? Corona Virus travelling down electrical cables and infecting people as they charge their Tesla cars. Or maybe a virus will start to use satellite links or teleportation.
1743  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Corona Virus how it all started on: February 16, 2020, 05:55:54 PM
The video has been deleted, but given that the first virus in the Corona family was discovered in the 1960s, it was probably a load of cock. I think the first one came from chickens. Smiley
1744  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: US Impeachment on: February 16, 2020, 10:52:43 AM
Washington seems to have become a circus with elephants, clowns, tigers and acrobats. I gather the Democrats are thinking of having another go at impeaching Trump. What a stupid waste of money and time.
1745  Other / Meta / Re: Boring Arguments Section Room on: February 16, 2020, 08:52:22 AM
It would be difficult to police, as opinions are so subjective. For example, look at the number of members who support vaccination, and the ensuing crippling of children, and are unable to provide any supporting evidence to support medium term research findings.
1746  Other / Meta / Re: Do we need merit sources for low ranks? on: February 14, 2020, 09:18:58 AM
Here we go again - Right now, I've gt over 300 sMerits available, and that is just in Jet Cash. I've probably got some more in my alt accounts. I've had a number of attempts to start meritable discussions for new members, but they are either moved into the swamp by a mod, or don't attract much interest. So here is another idea for the weekend. Suggest a discussion topic, and I'll start a thread on the beginners' board, and watch it for meritable posts.
1747  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to re-create threads without permission on: February 12, 2020, 07:14:46 PM
I took the question asked by the OP as a request to copy an old thread in order to add new comments in a new thread. To my mind, that is plagiarism. If you want to reopen an old topic, then you should link to the dormant thread, and add comments to justify an updated discussion.
1748  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much this domain name could be worth for someone dealing with Bitcoins? on: February 12, 2020, 02:26:13 PM
I wouldn't pay reg fee for it          Sorry
1749  Other / Politics & Society / Herd immunity, the cure for Coronavirus. on: February 12, 2020, 11:19:21 AM
Isn't it time we stopped all this nonsense. The only real cure for Corona Viruses is herd immunity, and vaccinations and most pharmaceuticals block the development of herd immunity. Recent research shows that children who develop fevers under the age of one year, have healthier lives, and are less likely to develop leukemia. Please stop screwing up a system that nature took thousands of years to create, and concentrate on improving and stabilising our environment. Stopping people crapping in the streets of San Francisco is more important than injecting poisons into babies and creating an unhealthy population of junkies.
1750  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk can become the facebook of money on: February 12, 2020, 11:08:47 AM
I really must get round to looking at this new fangled Facebook thing. Do you guys think it is here to stay?  The only use I see  of it is kids taking pictures down their throats. and giggling over them. The other use seems to be girls taking pictures up their skirts in McD, and sending those round the net. Maybe I've got it wrong, but I don't want to keep my wallet in my underwear. Smiley
1751  Other / Meta / Re: Remove red trust, it is nothing but noise. Getting sickening to watch. on: February 11, 2020, 08:40:08 AM

This is exactly why subjective personal opions are not to be tolerated.

All my opions (sic) are subjective and personal. Anything else would compromise my morality. If you don't agree with me, then you can use discussion to attempt to change my opinion, or just put me on ignore. I agree that trust shouldn't be a weapon, but most of those weaponising it seem to be those wielding broken swords, after they have been exposed.
1752  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is in mind of those, who against vaccination? on: February 10, 2020, 08:10:45 AM
. After the birth of a child he is vaccinated with regard to his health so that he will not have any problems in his later life.

That isn't completely true. After the birth of a child, he is injected with disease and toxins to weaken his immune system, and to impair his natural development. This attempts to ensure that he won't have a later life.
1753  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RUSSIA develop electromagnetic missiles! on: February 09, 2020, 07:24:27 PM
They are probably the Russian version of Tesla self-driving cars. Smiley
1754  Other / Serious discussion / Visa merchant fee chages. on: February 09, 2020, 07:07:22 PM
It seems that Visa is going to make a few changes to their fee structures. They seem to be small, but they may be significant. They will be reducing charges for bricks and mortar businesses, and this seems to be the result of competition in this area. However, they are increasing prices for on-line retailers, and perhaps they feel this is because they have a monopoly in this area. I think this could be bullish for Bitcoin and some other alts, as retailers will no doubt start to experiment with alternatives to Visa.
1755  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDE] A good post/reply and formatting on: February 09, 2020, 06:52:16 PM
One good tip is to avoid structures like the OP. Busy information hunters won't bother to read it, as it slows down the reading process.
1756  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need advice on relevant subjects for this area on: February 09, 2020, 06:49:14 PM
If you are a programmer - here is a vid on how ro build a blockchain using Python.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FwBB6vhilU

If you have an economics background, then you need to study central banks, and the impact of fractional reserve  banking.. There are lots of videos about these. Also you should take part in some of the more mature discussion here in Bitcoin Talk.
1757  Other / Meta / Re: More mod-privileges for specific child-boards on: February 09, 2020, 07:29:28 AM

Given that scams aren't moderated, are mods often moderating inaccurate information? I've certainly seen tons of post with either inaccurate or outright false information in a variety of boards that don't get deleted. I've always felt that it's better to make a post correcting the mistake so other people can learn from the thread too.

I with this, as it keeps everything out in the open. Inappropriate post deletion can kill a discussion, and lead to the loss of members. It is much better to correct an incorrect opinion, and then the poster can learn from it.
1758  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bird Flu Virus spreading in China!!! on: February 08, 2020, 11:20:44 AM
You can't be infected by a coronavirus through eating cooked food, but you can pick it up if the virus in on the dishes, utensils, tables, or in the environment. People have no idea of hygiene or infection.  I've seen mothers pick up a piece of chicken that a kid has dropped on the floor in McDonalds, and give it back to the kid to eat. I'm in favour of stimulating the immune system, but you need to be sensible about it, and I'm not sure what McD uses to wash the floor, or what is tramped in from the car parks and car foot wells.
1759  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Will energy become a blockchain currency? on: February 07, 2020, 08:34:30 AM
It looks as if the creation of energy could make a major shift with the rise of thorium molten salt reactors. Not only is that a clean safe way to produce electricity, but I gather that there is a significant secondary benefit. It seems it is possible to extract carbon from the atmosphere and manufacture a liquid fuel for use in conventional internal combustion engines. What a great alternative to electric cars. Smiley
1760  Other / Politics & Society / Re: God is in Control on: February 06, 2020, 04:00:59 PM
There are so many gods, so how do you know which is the correct one?

I believe in Mother Nature, and her ability to constantly improve the environment, and the rich diversity of life on it. She has already solved the coronavirus problem, and people are recovering. However we can't leave it alone, so we will continue to inject poison and disease into people's arms to enrich the bankers. This will create an even more crippled population ready for the next pandemic.
