1761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 15, 2022, 09:30:58 AM
it wasn't luck, no luck over and over again until they were able to make it to the final. these two teams are not favorites to be in the final but both teams are able to increase their confidence and play very well in defeating their opponents in order for them to be in the final.
so this final will be very interesting, both teams have almost the same strength and it will be very difficult to predict who will be the champion.
It may not be luck, but it is also a bit of a luck at the same time, how? Well, when you are playing in a "loser goes home" situation, there is a bit of luck involved for EVERY team, doesn't matter who you are, it's not just worse team winning type of deal, it's about every single team needs to be lucky, or at least not be unlucky in order to win.

We have seen plenty of goals in the football where a striker shoots, it bounces off defender and then it's on the wingers foot wide empty to score, that's lucky, sure positioning matters a lot in that situation but it is also luck. So Frankfurt definitely had some luck, just not that much more than what other teams had.
1762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop on: May 14, 2022, 09:19:26 PM
That's the irony of it, when btc price is up investors will be looking for correction to get in, but as soon as the opportunity present itself, fear will stop many investors from buying btc at a discount. Right now is the time to apply the popular saying "be fearful when others are daring and be daring when others are fearful". Some people are profiting from this current market state, it is all about being bold and putting in what you can afford.
This is a very unpredictable market. 2 weeks ago Elon Musk purchased the Twitter, it resulted the rise of Dogecoin.
SO people who those DogeCoin is not worth purchasing are not happy. There is nothing one can do about rise and fall. Only luck matters.
This wasn't related to luck though, this was related to people trusting one company to do whatever is right for them and being wrong about the company. These guys at Luna collected hundreds of millions of dollars and had so much more in other coins as well that are not stable.

Whales realized that they could abuse this, and when someone with enough money came out, they tried to do it and succeeded and there is a 99% drop in Luna right now. Luna team didn't really lost much money of their own, this was from the project and went to the project, probably made ton of profit along the way, the only people who lost money are the ones who invested into Luna and its ecosystem.
1763  Economy / Economics / Re: Standard of living on: May 14, 2022, 11:26:23 AM
I think this is a normal life right now this generation since people had a big brain they will not adjust and listen they had their own perspective. I agree to have a freedom of our perspective but let think if that will be good to ourselves and to our country. People are just the problem but we can not please them to change it's just their own decision.
What else can we all do if not to stay positive? That’s the only thing that can keep you going even when the situation is bad. The situation got bad in majority of the countries around the world.

But, one thing I always believe that we all can do better for ourselves is to not wait for when things are going to get better, rather we should work hard towards making sure that we are ahead and living a better life despite the situation. If you keep waiting for when things are going to get better, you wouldn’t see it.
1764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may likely pull back to 35k on: May 13, 2022, 03:50:00 PM
One thing we must understand is the fact that most newbies are all in for the profits and this mentality gave them a wrong idea of the true nature of the market, their belief the market should only go.in the uptrend direction.
This is so because Bitcoin is viewed as a get rich quick investment to most newbies but to the ones, once you have gained a good knowledge of the market and its volatilities it tends to reduce your FOMO level and never minding the market conditions rather you take advantage of the market and buy whenever you can and also sell at the right price.
Market is ruthless, market doesn't care about your ideas or your hopes or your wishes. Market makes whatever they can to profit from the prices and they will destroy everything on its path to make that profit. Look at what happened to Luna today, you think that was natural?

There were some people in the market who got in, and they realized they could make profit from the system Luna has, by just destroying it. They dropped it 95%+ and they felt no sorrow about it, because if you can make a profit from something and you don't? Then you are stupid or you shouldn't be in the market, why stop just because one project will fail, when you can profit? That's how market approaches things.
1765  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you using trading indicators? on: May 13, 2022, 02:19:15 PM
Being average trader, I always tried to gain more knowledge about it but things are tricky for me. Lolz. Usually I’m reading the indicators from the small book that my broker gave. It’s very simple to do it that way as I can’t really read it on screen easily. However, in the process I have lost pretty decent amount after being careless about it. So I’m trading but I still feel like I need lot of knowledge regarding the same. So piece of advice is, learn them deeply, you are expert only if you can read them on screen just by looking at it!!
I would suggest checking online would be a lot better. Sure checking a small book if you think is a great trading resource is still fine, but online world has a million of them and you would learn a lot more when you check youtube, courses, and other stuff even here. Do not believe everything you see though, make sure that wherever you are trading, is a place that actually does give you a good return and honest work, that way you would be learning from the very best and you will be doing a lot better. I believe that it takes a while before people become good traders but it is not an impossible thing and everyone could do it eventually.
1766  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short term investment suggestion on: May 12, 2022, 05:51:50 PM
Short term investments in crypto market are too risky. High returns in short time period means you are probably entering a ponzi, hyip scheme that will eventually lead you to losses instead of winnings the more you do this. Sometimes altcoins perform good results after being launched, but you can't expect it's going to be always profitable anyway.

The safest short term investment I know is related to services and retail business:
  • You offer your skills, invest your time and are paid;
  • You buy goods cheaper and sell more expensive;
  • You buy raw materials, craft them and sell the final product (works better with food in general or desserts).
Those things are a bit unrelated to crypto isn't it? I mean if you offer your skills and get paid in crypto that is a bit related I am not going to argue against that one, but the getting goods cheaper and selling higher is not a crypto thing, nor getting raw materials and crafting it and selling it is related to crypto at all.

Investments in crypto that are short term usually ends up being too risky and I am not really planning on doing anything that risky. Why would anyone want to invest into something that would be this risky and I would prefer that if I could do something that is long term and make profit I would be basically happier about it.
1767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What a bear market actually looks like on: May 12, 2022, 04:46:36 PM
bear market is a natural selection for altcoins, whether they survive or not, let alone meme coins and new projects. as if this bear season will rid cryptocurrencies of incompetent altcoins, or simply scams and rid themselves of the hype. therefore choosing a top coin for now will make us safe in facing the bearish season, let alone choosing bitcoin for investment at this time
Then buy Luna, ....thats a good example that anything can happen to crypto market at any time, top coin or not you need to control your greed in such a present market first, if you know how to read charts you will see that nothing is certain anymore, rebounds or more dips we are lost right now.
I actually did this, but with a tiny amount of 100 dollars. It may not be tiny for everyone but in the grand scheme of things I believe that to be quite low amount.

If it goes back up then I will have 500+ or so I am guessing with all the leverage I have and the way it's low right now, I do not believe that Luna will get back though, I bought LUNAUST so that when it's pegged close to 1 dollar again then I will profit a lot. That is the thing, if I lose, then it's just 100 bucks and I won't care too much about it, sure I would be upset about being wrong, but not the 100 bucks. When you see these type of chances appear, you take it, with a small amount and if you are wrong then you will not be upset.
1768  Economy / Economics / Re: Get, Save & Invest. on: May 12, 2022, 03:58:30 PM
Agree with what you say because 50% feels big enough for daily needs but on the other hand everyone needs to express themselves. saving is indeed very good but on the other hand we also don't have to torture ourselves for it but of course if indeed the allocation we previously determined is still there, then indeed we also save it for investment in old age as well as for 30% personal desires when we don't If you want anything this month, then we can also move it for investment because this is only an allocation regardless of whether it is fully used or not, the most important thing is that it doesn't interfere with old-age savings.
I would say that even if we are talking about torture, like as in living in a very tiny apartment, even a room, paying very little, and eating noodles, all for just 5 years of our life, could unlock a great life after that but that's a risk we are taking with our life, something we can't get back and that's why people do not do it.

I mean if you lose money, you could always earn more of it later on, if you lose your car, you can get a new one, if you miss out on a movie, you could always watch it online later on, but if you miss out on your life then you are going to end up with not getting that back and this is why people do not save enough, they want to live.
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where is the crypto market heading now on: May 12, 2022, 01:25:15 PM
Doge has been hype up by a lot of people and will stay the same for some time as more merchants were accepting Dogecoin.

2. When should we start expecting a better greenish market again?.
Wait till Bitcoin will make another run, probably not gonna be this year. Expect a bearish trend this year until early next year.

3. Now that we are a ina  bear market will metaverse hype keep going on?.

It could still keep the hype up, but those who don't understand how crypto market works will just leave.
I agree with the other two points but I do not think that this year will be fully bearish. I mean it looks like we are getting there by a thin margin right now and I wouldn't be shocked if it happened at any given minute now.

The prices dropped because of a few bad news, yeah sure terra looks like it's going down, no idea if that will recover or not, and plenty of BTC got sold on the market to recover that, and I mean like thousands upon thousands, A LOT, but that will eventually stop. This is why I doubt that this bear market will continue for too long, I am sure that it will recover and get better in the near future. At least that is what I hope for.
1770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 11, 2022, 10:38:42 PM
It is clear that the quotes of the teams do not always correspond to the final result. I'm saying that these quotes are inadequate. These quotes are as if Liverpool were leading 1-0 in the first half, but the game hasn't even started yet  Grin
As for the mentality, I would not say that Real and Liverpool are very different - they are two cup fighters who are used to fighting in knockout games.
This finals a bit weird though, not that it is any weirder than most finals but here it is a bit different kind of weird. Like for example last year everyone believed that City would finally win, and Chelsea was clear underdogs but they managed to get it, which is understandable sometimes underdogs wins and that's not rare. Or sometimes the favorites win, and that is not unexpected, in fact that is the common thing to see.

However, this time around we have Liverpool as favorites, but Real is not really underdogs neither, they are neither close to each other neither, not like we are seeing 2 equal teams, what we are seeing is a team that is favorites, and another team who should have been underdogs 4 matchups ago.
1771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to live a peaceful life? Without drama? Then HODL and enjoy the ride on: May 11, 2022, 09:21:56 PM
I really love you posting like this and also giving me full trust for Bitcoin as you have not sold any single satoshi for that long time .
you admired me a lot mate and thank you for this kind of post .
To make things clear for everyone, I'm not a rich person, probably most of you here are having a much higher revenue. I'm just very determined because I know BTC's potential and BTC is the last thing I'd touch. It's a difference between being rich and being perseverant.
but still you afford Holding your bitcoins that long while the temptations are all there for many times before, and specially when the price Hit 20k and now almost 70k  yet you keep them all? how great human are you .
You should always be hopeful about bitcoin, I have been holding for a few years myself as well and I can say that this drop means nothing to me as well. It could become 10k dollars and I wouldn't care, it's not about where it drops it's about where it goes up in the future that matters to me.

I have zero doubt about the price going up, which is why I really believe that we should not be considering the situation as a bad thing, in fact if you buy more right now I am 100% sure that it will go up a lot in the future so why not get some right now? This is the type of trust I have towards crypto, I believe that it is always looking good and should always be supported.
1772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am curious about bounties on: May 11, 2022, 08:12:35 PM
If the project is honest, it does not matter who holds rewards, manager or project. Project will distribute rewards as promised. If the project is shady, escrow funds wont help. I took a part in a bounty with reputed manager, he held bounty reward. When bounty has ended, project locked contract and escrowed tokens became untransferable. Also I was in a situation, when manager escrowed rewards, but the project did not send him funds for distribution. This all ended with waiting for distribution funds. Project can always create another contract and issue new tokens, making escrowed bounty reward useless.
I would say that there is an unknown trust going around at the very early days. It means that if you work with a bounty manager who is trusted and pay him upfront 2 months worth of money and he declares this, then everyone will trust the bounty and it will not become a problem.

However, assuming that you wouldn't do something like that, and you want to do it yourself then you could be shady or legit and we wouldn't know it. How would people know if you are shady or not? They wouldn't be able to know it and that is why they would be worried about their money. This is why bounty places should work with bounty managers to get rid of that part.
1773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think that 2022 will look like? on: May 11, 2022, 06:32:15 AM
If you think that the history will keep on repeating itself all the time then you are mistaken, badly. First of all we do not fair that well when you look at it year by year and each year having one big move, most of the time it doesn't. Like 2017 was bullish, 18 was bearish but 19 wasn't anything really, we moved a bit but not really a ton.

So, I would suggest that take a look at it in the long term and you should be fine. I personally believe that 22 is more like 19 and we will be just calm and not really have anything big, even considered bearish by some, 23 will be a bit more bullish and 24 will definitely be a huge bullish run.
I am not entirely sure if the cycle you think will happen is any different than the cycle people think it will happen. I mean it was 2014, then 2017 then 2020 seen a good increase as well but kept going until 2021, so something like 2023 could possibly happen. Which is different to what @casteway said in the system but the result is still a bullish season for 2023 so the end result is the same.

This year wasn't a bear right that saw us go down a lot, that is the difference and that is why people are confused but it has been 3 year cycle for a long time and it could very well happen again. Even if we take it 4 years, then it will be 2024 at the latest.
1774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 10, 2022, 08:53:08 PM
I really don't think there are going to be any surprises here because just simply look at the odds. I really don't think there is any chance for them. RB Leipzig should also win their next match in the Bundesliga because they will be facing a team that is in the relegation zone and if RB Leipzig loses that match, that alone will be a really big surprise.
Best of Luck who will place bet for Freiburg 25x profit  Wink
I do not know any odds for the top 4 and I couldn't find any, but I can say that nothing should be like that, those odds are prime example of why betting should be done only in trusted casinos. If something is so guaranteed that you give 1.001, basically you give nothing, you tell people not to wager that, but then the other side is 25?

It should be 400+ or eve 999+ at that point because you already said that they have no chance of winning and yet you are only paying 25.00 odds? In any case, I agree that leipzig will be in top four without a doubt and they will go to champions league, I am guessing that they will be winning all the games left.
1775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIBA INU - The Next gem in Altcoin industry on: May 10, 2022, 07:28:47 PM
When the market gets better, shiba will still be the same unless if the updates that everyone is talking about comes during it. Another thing that makes the price of shiba is I think the manipulation caused by the people behind it.
What do you mean price manipulation? With Volum and already listed on several large exchanges it looks very difficult. I think the price of Shiba follows the direction of Bitcoin. So this time if the price of Shiba goes down it is natural. All the coins experience that, so far I've seen that Shib movement following the bitcoin price. I think if the BTC price goes up Shib also moves up. If you look at the Developers it seems that they also continue to work on developing Shib.
It may look to be hard to do, but in reality it is not as hard as you imagine it is. Reality is that it is quite easy to handle such a thing and you could technically make it a manipulated volume. What you need to do is organize people and when you do organize everyone which I have seen plenty of telegram groups that can do that, then you will be able to fake those volumes if you want to.

I personally feel like they are all manipulated for sure. All of the memecoins by the way, not just shiba, I have seen plenty of groups in all memecoisn that manipulate the markets like they are loved so much, when it is just a few hundred people all acting at the same time.
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge Future after Elon Musk Buy Twitter ? on: May 10, 2022, 06:45:45 AM
There is a prediction on 2022 being the year of Dogecoin due to three different factors

  • Elon Musk
  • Different Partnership
  • Development within the Community

Elon Musk buying Twitter had made dogecoin to be the official cryptocurrency that is being used on it. As Elon Musk have already a supporter of Dogecoin, the move of buying Twitter will have impact over dogecoin market.

With more investors getting into the market, there is big partnership taking place with corporate firms. Top designer brand Gucci have partnered with dogecoin and it has set the acceptance of dogecoin on five stores around USA. This will slowly grow and gets used.

Dogecoin being the memecoin with good marketcap is planned to develop some bridging with the ethereum platform. This will let users buy NFTs with dogecoin and more people will move towards it for its low transaction fee.
According to people who are holding dogecoin since the pump, every month is a month for doge and every year is the year of doge. Just because Elon bought twitter, doesn't mean that he will do something that will benefit doge at all, there is zero connections between those two different information.

Secondly, doge is doge, it is not taken seriously, even the ones that invested in it did it just because it was fun and Elon had fun with it and everyone jumped on the bandwagon and that's it. This is why I doubt that there would be any sense of doge going up a lot unless the whole market goes up a lot this year, which doesn't seem like it will happen.
1777  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Easiest Way For New Traders To Profit From The Crypto Market on: May 09, 2022, 07:24:51 PM
I still remember my first book I read about stock trading, it was  15-20 years ago. The book was from a highly successful investor from the 90s. His advice was basically buy stocks and forget about them. Spread out your money across multiple stocks to have some basic level of diversification and hold for the long run. In the crypto world we would  that HODL investor. For any new trader or investor I would recommend that approach. Having a crypto portfolio with BTC, ETH and some alt coins is the best to take advantage of the long term upwards trend. This is if course very boring and some people would prefer to actively trade their portfolio. In such a case I would recommend to take only a small fraction of the money to trade more often. Like this losses will be limited and it's a good way to learn the trading game.
Peter Lynch? I read a book about investment about 15 or so years ago as well and it was from Peter Lynch and named something like beating the market or something like that. It talked about finding good solid companies that have been around for a long time and just investing into them and forgetting about your investment.

The reasoning is that, if a company has been established for a long time, and have been providing successful returns for many years, and looks financially stable, then there isn't any reason why it shouldn't be in the future as well. Imagine buying coca cola stocks, wouldn't make you rich overnight but would definitely be a good return.
1778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about CAKE? on: May 09, 2022, 08:21:08 AM
Do you think it will reach $20 this year?
Looking at how it is already 6.7 dollars, 20 dollars is not really that impossible. The current market is unfortunately not great and that could be a reason why people think that it will not reach that high, but at the same time we have to realize that the price is not doing that badly when the whole market goes up. So that means when the prices of coins go up, then cake will go up with it.

This means we need to reach a whole new level on bitcoin, ethereum, bnb and all the others. Doesn't mean that we can't or we will, it just means that I do not see Cake going to 20 dollars alone, only if things go up a lot then we can see the price go up a lot more.
1779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about CAKE? on: May 09, 2022, 07:01:18 AM
I'm still fairly bullish on some of the altcoins in this market but perhaps what I'm witnessing is a flurry of information and trend navigation that leaves many still unable to envision a future. good or bad future.
But honestly, this is also one of the coins that brought me big profits in 2021, so no matter how it turns out, I am very grateful for it. But 2022 probably no longer has too many good thoughts about this market, and everything needs to be carefully calculated. The goal of $20 is basically not too difficult to happen, but it balances the benefits between risks and profits, I think it's safer for me to sit and observe it.
It did made me a good amount of profit as well, I bought a good chunk of it for under $2 at some point, staked it, made a good return, and sold nearly half of all I owned just to get some other coins and spread my portfolio to a more diversified version.

Most of the coins that I bought with my Cake profits didn't provided the same level of profit at all, and it was a sad situation. In the end, Cake gets 100% trust from me and I will not leave it aside. When you face a coin that looks to be a thing that can go on for 10+ years, that matters a lot, most projects look like they will pump but eventually go down more and more and eventually be gone, whereas Cake looks like it will be here for 10+ years.
1780  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may likely pull back to 35k on: May 08, 2022, 08:46:14 AM
Now the price of Bitcoin is back to $ 35k, I often hear that many people will buy when the price of $ 35k, of course many are panicked and worried about seeing Bitcoin prospects, but I have to convince that big dumping like today is common, what we do is be patient , don't panic and of course focus on continuing to buy is the best step for profit.
Honestly, I have the same thoughts although, right now, it is more likely to go down to 34k+ then 32k or even 29k if the bulls do not manage to break the bearish momentum. Still though, I am very optimistic for this month. I personally think that we may see a huge bounce a few days later after some more time playing at the current areas that the bitcoin price is in. And yes, buying on these dumps little by little is the best choice if you currently have some altcoins that are catching your attention.
I am guessing that it would be a situation where people would end up getting tired of the drop and eventually start buying. We should realize that bitcoin price goes down to a level, and then eventually people say that it is enough and they see it as a good price to get in, and they start jumping into it because it is such a low price, and they end up with making it a bit going high, and that results with others to get hyped about it, and long futures gets higher, and short futures are liquidated, and that type of situation results with a exponential growth.

This is why I believe that we are down enough and soon enough people will start buying and starting that chain reaction.
