1761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt coins in the next century on: May 18, 2023, 09:35:23 PM
1. What will happen to alt coins when Bitcoin becomes a legal tender? Will they have a massive growth,or would people sell and jump into  Bitcoin?
Probably same thing as in the past. Some (even top marketcap) coins will die before that, but naturally some of them get pumped.

2. What would happen to alt coins when Bitcoin becomes relatively stable( when it is fully mined and will solve its problem of price volatility)? Will alt coins survive the test of time? Will new alt coins be created later? What would become of the various countries'currencies, especially the Dollar (the global reserve currency) after Bitcoin's general acceptance?
Actually this will most likely be the golden age of altcoins. People will most likely use btc as a pair for trading more then fiat money, as there are benefits for holding permissionless and not volatile coin.

3. If alt  coins survive in the next century what is the reason it would.
Does it need a new reason? Reason would be that they been around so far. Even though some of them will die, very different solutions to bitcoin will most likely be continued to be explored.

4. Should alt coins be traded rather than HODL?
If you can successfully trade them then by all means do that. But hodling shouldn't mean never selling. You need to have a plan what are you going to do with it when you have enough wealth.
1762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex Earn ~ 12% UST, to risky or solid eg want to avoid LUNA/UST EARN on: May 18, 2023, 07:49:52 PM
, Polo is offering UST at 12%. As per the title, is this unsustainable over the long term? For example, does it create a leveraged unwinding position like the UST/Luna fiasco?
Umm, unsustainable next to what?

UST lost peg long time ago and it doesn't even exist anymore, not in kucoin or anywhere. There's TerraClassicUSD (USTC) but that's not pegged to anything, or based to anything either. So why would you buy anything like that? Again, one of the problems with UST was unsustainability against the usd peg. Unsustainability is not the key word here. Term you are looking for is pointless fiasco. It doesn't really matter how much staking it has. It's eventually going to zero.
1763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 coins that will moon until summer on: May 18, 2023, 06:55:42 PM
It mainly depends on bullrun. If bullish market start then those coin will gear up and being valuable. Otherwise you’ll experience no chance at all. You list 5coins but most of those aren’t suppose to raise up much even durinh bullrun. There are some coins, which are selected by mine and hopeful about those ETH, BNB, MATIC, APT as well as AXS are best according to my view
It's probably a dream come true. Summer is two weeks away, but altcoin prices are lower than they were in April. I don't think there will be a bull market this summer, although there is hope that positive news from China could influence the price. But a real bull run is more likely to happen next year after the halving.

Dude, this prediction is from 2018 and even then it was wrong. His choices would have tanked in the summer. None of the coins did raise that year or the next. Only if people would have holded several years they would be rich on any of these. Someone should close this thread if people don't even read it but keep responsing.
1764  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who else thinks Dogecoin will become the reserve currency on Mars? on: May 18, 2023, 06:38:18 PM
I'm genuinely serious. I think with Musk it could actually happen. After all, his personal Roadster is floating in space right now.
Well that's just silly. Why not start with earth if it would have any potential? Musk doesn't even like pow coins and frankly i am pretty sure that his days of being richest guy in the world are over soon. His behavior has been erratic enough to scare his investors away.

I mean if i had a too much invested in anything Elon controls i would be really scared for my investment. And yet he keeps making insane statements on tv and twitter. And to top of that he really think he is funny. His hiring policy is pretty much opposite of google's who actually want to keep their talents working there.
1765  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎉BetFury Affiliate Program is live| 💸Earn with RevShare up to 60% on: May 18, 2023, 04:42:39 PM
I am a BFG holder. I have about 10k+ BFG. A few days ago my mobile turned off automatically. I had google 2FA enabled on my Betfury account. After repairing the mobile, I see that everything has been deleted. I have not recorded my google 2fa private anywhere. Right now I can't access my Betfury account. I tried to contact the team many times but failed. I am currently requesting the team to remove google 2FA from my account. So that I can access my account.

I am pretty sure you'll get your 2fa removed by just answering few questions. Least i have in so many places where i messed up my 2fa. Ask nicely, they might ask when you last logged in and how much is in your account. Your ip or at least country if your ip changes. And when they clearly see that no one else is accessing to that account, they can presume it's yours. Also you might need to KYC if you haven't already.
1766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Only 89 days left for Litecoin Halving event! on: May 17, 2023, 11:06:01 PM
So far it hasn't been a good buy signal. If anything i would short litecoin when halving happens. But i might wait couple of months and buy after that if past is repeating in some form. But i think that charts seem even too obvious and if enough people are looking at it like me, price could be priced in and it could behave a little different this time. So much so that i am not shorting after all or touching it. It's pointless old altcoin after all.
1767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is PEP20 preferred wallet address? on: May 17, 2023, 10:42:42 PM
I wanted to do a transaction on binance, i buy carlty coins with usdt, I try several times the transactions keep showing unsuccessful, only to figure out that the address must be pep20 binance smartchain. Why is this PEP20 preferred wallet address to others?
Bep-20 addresses or binance smart chain in general is cheaper to use than ERC-20. This is why some people prefer it. However i would avoid most projects that are BCH based, it's mostly for scamming already people that are poor already. And not everyone prefers it. L2 in ETH has become cheaper as well. I would stick in projects in that chain.
1768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose altcoins you buy? on: May 17, 2023, 10:35:35 PM
I usually look for coins with a low to moderately low supply. I don’t often buy coins with multiple billion supply. Although saying that, I have bought $PEPE, SHIB & DOGE.
Very often I am too late to the party. It’s good to get coins before they get listed on major exchanges. It’s often a bit of a lottery, a shitcoin roulette but if you invest small amounts in multiple coins you can do well.
I really don't understand what low supply has anything to do with gains. Supply doesn't really matter, what matter is the issuance rate and marketcap.

I have been watching Memecoin news for a long time now, and investors think that Memecoin can offer more benefits than other coins.Don't know how true this is, as I don't have much faith in altcoin.  I think you should be careful before investing in altcoin, never invest in altcoin without good analysis or research.  But it is true that Alta Coin gives good returns, but the risk of losing assets is also high.I always select Ethereum and BNB as investments, these coins are very low risk among the altcoins.
I am not sure what your news sources are if they say that about meme coins but that's just strange. Just because something happened in the past doesn't mean the copy meme coins would be successful. In fact i am pretty sure at this phase they are doomed to fail as they aren't the real thing.
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose altcoins you buy? on: May 17, 2023, 04:25:07 PM
A good tokenomics and a good team is a good combo. A team that can manage a project for a long time and a sustainable token growth. One thing I'm also finding on a project is the what kind of project it is and what kind of product are they aiming to make. A good product is one factor that can make a project relevant to the market, as long as the product is inline with the trend, I'm pretty positive that the token value of that token will rise and project will have a massive growth. So far the biggest consideration I'm giving on a project is the project product as I want my next potential altcoin to be suited on future trends.
What kind of project do you think would be relevant to the market right now so that it wouldn't have to compete with 10 other platforms that already exist, and trying to fight over it? And how could this new project could have an edge to fight the old dogs in terms of adoption?

What do you think the future trends will be?
1770  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: May 17, 2023, 03:35:37 PM
I want to ask if I need KYC verification to withdraw money at this site?
Stakes can ask for KYC any time they want. So, be ready to Submit KYC if they ask you to verify. I have been there for a long time, yet I did not KYCed there. They did not ask me, maybe because of my gambling habit. It depends on various factors, including what games you are playing, on which market you place your bets, and how much the amount is. If you place bets in Sportsbetting and play 3rd party games, you will likely trigger KYC. Also, Sometimes they ask for KYC if they are suspicious of your activity like arbitrage betting, Random IP change etc etc.
And not just Stake, even sites that are saying that they don't they can ask for KYC eventually. So always assume that Casinos and exchanges will eventually ask KYC. Casinos promising that they don't ever ask kyc either don't use anything even related to stablecoins, or are just promising something they can't keep. Because it's really not up to them if they want to comply with AML laws.
1771  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Addiction. on: May 17, 2023, 03:24:26 PM
This discussion is not about gambling, it is about investing, but I will use gamblers to make an example.

Using gamblers as an example who start out with just the intention to have fun maybe and then along the line turn into addicted gamblers that gambling begin to affect other areas of their life like their wellbeing like they stop spending on some important things just so they can make money available for gambling. Now talking about investing, I think it is possible to become addicted to investing so much that it begins to affect your wellbeing, like the person stops spending on other important things like good food, good clothes etc. just so they can have more money to invest? Do you consider that kind of addiction dangerous and not good?
Yes, you definitely can get addicted to investing, i did. At first it's understandable that you can't making money without putting some of it to investing. Put at some point you have enough and just keep rising the amount. You start to lose reality when it stops being money and its just numbers, and those numbers are never high enough. I had money to spend definitely, but i was always looking at the next level. Can i buy a car? A house? Can i live year with this? Can i live rest of my life? Can i live a luxury life? Are my children going to be able to live with this after i die?

Nothing is enough. Gladly i have also started to invest myself. I don't even mind where we are on the bull run or bear run. I can't ever sell the absolute top anyway. But if i need to invest to myself, my health or to my kids. I am not looking at the charts at that point. It's no use to invest your money if you don't use it when you have it.
1772  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How true on: May 17, 2023, 02:59:47 PM
Nothing good comes easily, I've doubted the truth in this statement for a while now and here am to ask, who else believes in the statement or wgp doesn't, whichever way, why??
It basically means that if you are not willing to do any work, don't assume that there will be progress done for you. It's about responsibility. Of course people can get more good things that they "deserve" without doing any work for it, but that's also a matter of perspective. Some people appreciate those things as good things and some take them for granted. So they don't even realize what they are getting for free.

But if you want some specific new things in your life, without any plan those wants will be just dreams. With a plan (work), they can become reality.
1773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Assess a Memecoin and Not Get Scammed ;) on: May 17, 2023, 02:53:06 PM
Thanks for sharing this handy tool. It would be awesome if you had this service for more than just ERC-20 and BEP-20. I have been buying some SPL tokens on SOL and while other coins aren't that popular, i would like to have detectors for all of them. Even for TRC-20 that i passionately hate.
1774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How do you choose altcoins you buy? on: May 17, 2023, 02:43:47 PM
I've been around for a while so my tactic has varied a lot. I have choosen my coins and tokens by the fact they have:

Real world use case: When i came in i was told buy coins with actual real world use case. I tried to find those but so far i haven't found any real world adoption for anything other than permissionless transfer of wealth that's been done with bitcoin from the start. Maybe some smart contracts can be useful but they have not been adopted in any significant scale. There's potential in many of them, but most of them are now going to be adopted ever. And even their devs know this, yet they can't really say it as they want to sell their snake oil. I a still looking for even one that might be adopted.

Good tokenomics: This i am still using as a reason to buy. Issuance rate needs to be sustainable, and distribution needs to be wide and fair. Marketcap needs to be low enough if we are not talking about the coins that already have the necessary net effect to attract developers and keep on growing more.

Team: I find this most important, without good team that knows their stuff you are destined to fail. In ideal case i choose professionals that are transparent and know what they are doing. They have coders in lead, their own legal team, and regular amas. Needless to say that i want everyone doxxed. So far every coin or token with anon devs that i have bought have vanished.

Right size marketcap: Most money i have made in this game is by finding suitable microcaps, like under $100k. If conditions are right, they can something like to 500k and above really fast, and i can take like 70% of my investment out potentially very fast. Rest of them stay for moonshot. But as a disclaimer i would like to say that while microcaps have have technically most room to grow, they also have highest changes of being rug pulls or slow rug pulls.

Trusting a tip from a friend: For some weird reason my newb friends have found some gems. They don't even necessary understand what marketcap means or how to do research. They might have bought because they liked the name. I see no reason buying them but they are making a killng with them. These days i throw some money on what ever they say. That might not be smart but i might as well.

Aping in to just tokens that has just been released: By doing this i don't have even the time to do decent research. I try to look everything as fast as i can and hope for the best. With this tactic i have found my best micro caps. I have also been bought into some instant rug pulls.
1775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on potential portfolio on: May 16, 2023, 10:26:10 PM
Hi all, I would like to invest ~1.5k into alts, I understand BTC is the safest but I would like to (sensibly) maximise my gains and hence looking for a couple low market caps that could grow quicker. Looking to hold until mid/end of 2025. This is how I am looking to diversify, appreciate all your thoughts:

Eth $300
Atom  $200
Matic $200
Fantom $200
Dot $200
Injective $200
Ada $100
Quant $100
Hbar $50
Near $50
I would like to see your reasoning behind picking those coins. You might be on to something but why those over 10000 other coins/tokens? Are any of those still relevant after eth scales? I can totally see that there's a change you can make more money with lower marketcap coins but betting on eth competition or in the future possible irrelevant layer 2 tokens is a hard sell to me. There was a time that i would have totally bought these but development phase of eth has been faster than i thought. And now i am more sceptical on most of the altcoins out there.
1776  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education or 1million dollars on: May 16, 2023, 10:20:52 PM
Financial education has always been a game changer in the financial state of a man, it is the best education a father can give to his children because once you are financially educated, it's near impossible not to be financially stable.

Have you wonder why most lottery winners have gone back to square one after winning or most rich kids losing their inheritance due to poor/bad management of funds, it's because they lack financial education.

On the other hand 1million dollars is truly a life changing amount of money but if you are not financially educated, you will lose it all on  the long run,
I don't know if anyone sees it the same way I do?
You don't need to have one or the other. If you are giving huge amounts to your kids you could just give them to a trustee with a necessary skills. Someone who could oversee that your kids get the education before and weekly allowance before they can get their hands on real money.

Financial education itself doesn't guarantee you a future. People can be erratic and things like unmedicated ADHD or Bipolar disorder can make you lose everything you have, no matter how educated or smart you are.
1777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most altcoins are fake (wakanda) on: May 16, 2023, 10:06:32 PM
-cut-
Please what is the aimed of those people doing fake crypto currency?
-cut-
Are you asking what their aim is? Profit. Short and simple. Not everyone has morals or they have such backgrounds and live in places where they don't afford to have morals.

When you are investing into something new, always assume that at some point they are most likely going to do an exit scam. You'll be safer that way.
Good projects will have real doxxed devs with a proven history of building stuff. If you are investing into anon dev tokens, changes are that you are only going to get scammed. It has been so since from the start.
1778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ultimate Meme Coin is Here Sheep coin Launching soon on: May 16, 2023, 09:56:04 PM
Meme coin craze is over for now I think. I respect the hustle but Sheep Coin sounds crap if we are being honest. In the early days we had Doge, then we had Shib. There is usually one meme coin that goes crazy every couple of years. I think Pepe was the one this time.
I think you are right. After one success people will try to copy the idea and markets get flooded with pointless copies.

Markets were just ready for Pepe, and most likely devs had some serious connections. This doesn't mean anyone should keep investing meme tokens right now, with flooded meme markets most of them will be worthless, no matter if they have a decent website and half witted whitepaper and roadmap. Most of these tokens won't raise a single penny and those that does will be pump and dumps or rug pulls. New people just don't know that everything we see here has happened in some form in the past. There's time for every scam. Most likely hyip and mining over net coming next.
1779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Blur will overtake Opensea on: May 16, 2023, 09:35:07 PM
There is always the possibility that Blur will surpass Opensea or beat. Blur got a better user experience and good UI and as I saw in their articles that OpenSea receives a 2.5% fee on all secondary sales.
While Blur charges no transaction fees and advises buyers to pay a royalty rate of 0.5% by default, though this can be changed or set to 0.

We will still not know what will be the future updates of these 2 NFT platforms, maybe some of them will adjust to compete with the other one. It's still early to decide here. Blur is new platform while Opensea is already here for long time.
Oh, fees of the marketplace totally explain the traffic. I thought that they were just airdrop hunters. This is good news as longer they keep having lower fees, more pressure it gives to opensea to lower their fees. That's really the only way to compete if network effect moves to blur. This means that their token could actually be worth something. I must take another look at their model.
1780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Question about slot machines and RTP on: May 16, 2023, 09:02:49 PM
So, there are 2 slot machines, they are pretty much identical:

This one has RTP of 96.50%This one has RTP of 98%

I was a fan of Sugar Rush before Sugar twist came. It's still quite new but it has the same music and prizes, bonuses etc are totally identical.

So i think i have totally misunderstood something about RTP since sugar rush seems to be more popular and i can't figure out why would anyone ever choose sugar rush over almost identical slot with higher RTP.

How does the Pragmatic Play benefits from this? Are they just hoping that people won't notice and play the old one or something?
