until then...party on baby!  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Party's over in 2 and a half hours.

Something tells me that 150 to 200 GH/s at difficulty 4096 is not going to be party over.

If you don't know how to day trade then don't do it at all. End of story.

True, i'd be much better off spending more time in the gym. Who needs money?

Send it my way! BTC address below!

I am not surprised people are mining them and then wanting to trade them for btc.
What i think will happen over time is that the price will fall to next to nothing and then it will fade away.

until then...party on baby!  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I'm pissed because up until now I'd never really lost on bitcoin. I've missed out on all the major opportunities due to buying and selling at the wrong time but somehow i'd always managed to just break even. Now with this I have actually lost money and i'm not happy about it. It's all my own fault yes and obviously I wanted something for nothing but I got nothing for something and I should have seen something like this coming a mile away but I got caught out and I want to rant about it.

what did you do freak out and sell low?

Yes, I probably should have waited longer to get more of my BTC back as it had risen a bit since I sold but overall I think this thing will die soon. The "investors" will drop of now that the excitement has died and it will soon stop being profitable to mine.

If you don't know how to day trade then don't do it at all. End of story.

yes and if you don't know how to walk or ride a bike, don't do that either.

only ever do things that you already know how to do.

LOL you should apply this to retorts and comebacks. If you can't come up with something good, DONT DO IT lol

So on the exchange you can only use a deposit address to send ixcoins once. What happens if you try to send two deposits with the same address?
you lose

I looked at that twice too, gotta remember, "never do that".
Whoops.

Contact DoubleC and he will send them back to your funding address.

I've done the same thing with namecoin and he was willing to refund all of the namecoins I accidentally sent to the wrong address.

Definitely feeling down today. Bought them last night then went to sleep. Checked the price and they had crashed. The annoying thing is at one point last night I was a couple of BTC ahead. I should have quit after I noticed the website was a copy of the the bitcoin website. I am hoping to pay down my debts so I can finally start saving to move out of home and I have lost about 55 BTC on this IXcrap.

The annoying thing is I saw all the alarm bells but a mix of irrational exuberance and tiredness had got to me. If I had of seen the thread when it was first posted I may have done well but I think I really came in late. Maybe this is bitcoin on fast forward. Milking the pump and dumps for all their worth.

To the people that got in early well done but for me maybe I should stop wasting my time here. As hard as it is to earn enough money to get by in the real world this stuff seems to just make things even more frustrating.

Not only that I feel so dirty after running this thing I feel like I should clean install my Linux box.

What price did you buy at and how much man?

Somebody buy ixcoin.net from me real quick before this fad dies.

I'll buy it for 0.001 BTC
17613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Ixcoin - a new Bitcoin fork on: August 11, 2011, 07:13:28 PM
Yeah i saw someone buy 150,000 ixcoins at 0.0015 btc each. Wow. Hopefully he can cash out above 0.0015 btc

So nobody has answered my question.  Is Ixcoin pronounced "icks-coin" or is it "9-coin"Huh

it is "eye-ex-coin"

This is a cool project.  It has exploded like no other thing I've seen on these forums.  Well, besides the 150 page thread for a pool hopping script.

It's greed at work Cheesy Everybody wants to be an early adopter of any new currency because most of us missed out on getting tons of Bitcoins easily. I'm just in to hedge my bets and drive the difficulty up and hopefully there are others like me who will then just quit and let this flounder. I know it sounds evil but when the key problem to Bitcoin (or any similar virtual currency) is growing the economy. So splitting resources and creating potential confusion for interested businesses for what appears to be personal gain, isn't ideal for long term viability. The pioneer grabbing half a million coins doesn't help convince me it isn't so either.

Well maybe we should ask how many bitcoins Satoshi grabbed before releasing the project to the community too yeah?   Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink
Santoshi actually created something new and worthwhile, there is a difference.  Although I agree there is no point getting mad at him for keeping some coins to himself.

that was my point

Wow at difficulty 256 I haven't generated a single block in the last 40 minutes with 4.1 GH/s. Someone is really raping the ixcoin network. Somewhere in the 150 GH/s range.

Mod,

Locking, moving, deleting, or hiding this thread is wrong. Don't try to kill the virus because next one will be more dangerous. Let bitcoin immune system adapt and get stronger!

You noticed it too that they mods seem to be against promoting ixcoin in any manner?

They must be early adopters of bitcoin huh.
17619  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Flexcoin is LIVE to everyone! on: August 11, 2011, 08:13:39 AM
I'm sorry but any centralized organization is contradictory to the purposes of decentralization of bitcoin.

Get smart! Hold on to and secure your own bitcoins and STOP relying on ANY service that says "hey we'll store/hold your bitcoins for you".
