I think it would be better for Varane to return to his old team as well. His performance at Manchester United is really inadequate these days. I don't know if he would make progress in time. But he was surely much better back at Real Madrid.  I think Ancelotti would be okay to see him back as well. I don't know if they have anyone else who is better than Varane on their radar. Bologna are playing really well at the moment, but I think Inter just decided not to fight in the Cup. Just like Napoli, only Napoli did it blatantly. Now top clubs have other tasks in domestic leagues and Champions League. So they don't need the extra pressure.
Extra pressure is not needed by the top teams at this time because on the one hand they also want to protect their players for the more crucial matches this season. But in general, all teams will definitely not ignore their wins against any team because every win will always result in more points and make them stronger in the top position. Liverpool against Arsenal is an interesting match that will shape the way the Premiership title will go this season. Checking their H2H record, Arsenal have only won Liverpool once in their last 9 meetings. This makes Liverpool the favorite to win the match but base on present realities, Arsenal have maintained a good performance this season and have a golden opportunity of winning the league. So I see them going all out challenge their closest rivals. I have a slightly different opinion than you. I think the Barca and Napoli pair is quite unpredictable; they are the reigning champions of both the Spanish and Italian leagues. Currently, the form of both Barca and Napoli is not good, but when they face each other, the result is hard to predict. Napoli's style of play remains challenging for teams from England and Spain. Therefore, it's not easy for Barca to overcome Napoli in this round.
When you look at the performance of this two teams, it is very obvious that they are on the same level now. Some players of Barcelona were really performing badly against Almeria. For example, the superstar player of Barcelona, Ronald Araújo made a huge mistake in this match and while we were expecting to see a perfect performance from this defender but he was the reason for Almeria scored their second goal in this game. Ten Minutes after Sergi Roberto scored the second goal for Barcelona, Ronald Araújo gave a good chance to Almeria after he made Iñaki Peña to lose the ball.  The first blunder was that pass right in the middle of the pitch and it was clearly lack of communication from the defender that caused the error. At times I don't like him. He always wants to be seen busy bit he really doesn't do much defending for Barcelona. He should keep calm and play soccer. Second was also lack of communication from both the defender and the goalkeeper. Even if that ball was left for Araujo, he'll also cause damages that would definitely lead to goal. We cannot really say that Barcelona are far better than Napoli. They are struggling in the league and are dropping points here and there. They just struggled Yesterday against Almeria, which is the last team in the La Liga.
Barcelona's current form is not that great. Napoli's current form is also not that great either. It is true that Barcelona has an edge, but Napoli are not going to give them win that easily. Barcelona's defense line and forwards really need some work. Napoli suffered a big defeat against Frosinone as well. Last season Barcelona beat Napoli and Napoli would be hungry to get that revenge. It is anyone's game. And as I have said, this is the Champions League and this brings the best out of everyone. So you cannot really say that Barcelona are going to get that win very easily.
When it comes to the ranking then you have to put Barcelona before Napoli. They both might be having issues but I'd always bring Barcelona before Napoli. It's Football though, anything can happen the under dogs can become predators. Xavi Hernandez has been backed the management and he will gradually sort all of them issues. Napoli lost my lost because they used the second or B team to play the Copa Italia few days ago. Nkunku looks like his knee is alright, I get that some people did expected him to be not ready, after all having such a big problem and then coming back is not easy and everyone expected him to have a very slow start, but that didn't really happen, he played decent enough if you ask me.
Overtime he will have 90 minutes of lung to keep playing, his lack of sharpness will go down, and he will be ready to play all game every game until the end of the season unless he gets injured again. That should be something quite wonderful for them, it feels like there is a possibility that they could be fine with that, and I think that will definitely put them on the map without a doubt. I get that they are not going for the champions title, but they could do better than this.
He will cause a lot of problems against Wolverampton on the wing because he is a very skillful player. I still don't see them winning at home against Wolverampton though. This is another side that has gotten a good number of points when they play at home. I can recall how they won the game against defending Champions Manchester City. There could be an opportunity for Aston Villa to take the lead in the standings by this week. Because while Liverpool are hosting Arsenal in a really challenging game Aston Villa have a very comfortable home game against Sheffield Utd. It was a comfortable win for Leverkusen which is good for the determination to win the Bundesliga. It was also great to see that coach Xabi Alonso is preparing for the African Cup of Nations that will take place from January to February in Côte d'Ivoire. Kalvin Phillips is the player of Manchester City who is near to leaving the team and Guidiola is not interested in using this player in the game they have. I hope Barcelona can make that improvement and send Girona below them and Real Madrid. However after seeing how desperate Barcelona were against Girona a short time ago I really don't know about whether they can do this. Losing by 4-2 is really unacceptable for Barcelona. They aren't playing their home games in their home stadium temporarily now.
This is a disadvantage for Barcelona of course but not an excuse to lose points in the games they should be able to win. Girona have a much better team performance despite having a much less valuable squad. Barcelona also need this spirit to be able to compete with them and Real Madrid both.
Barcelona player's most of em are all about themselves, they don't have that time to play the way Pep Guardiola and Johan Cruyff former player and legend for Barcelona did em. I wouldn't want to mention names but they lack what it means to be called togetherness. For Girona, they have that same togetherness and want to fight for themselves, when chasing goal they would rather pass the ball to the next man than hang too long on it. Barcelona though have been hit hard with injuries and it has affecy the general performance of the club. After the win yesterday, Barcelona are now six points behind league leaders, Girona draws or wins and they'll extend the gap. Thumping 5-1 win for Liverpool tonight. Much better than the bore draw against Man Utd on Sunday.

As we have always known Liverpool is a big name and they have proven it this night by scoring a very high-margin of of goal against West Ham United. This is not a warning to only Arsenal in the upcoming English Premier League clash, but it is also a warning to Chelsea which is the only big team that is remaining in the EFL Cup. I just checked the starting 11 of Liverpool and discovered that they did not go in with all their big names. They went in with fairly squad that is able to match West Ham United. Jones did the majority of the work from the midfield and got a brace. In the other side, I expected Mohammed Kudus to do something similar, but the match overwhelmed him I hope Manchester United will repeat the same scoreline we saw tonight. West Ham United would definitely be facing Manchester United and I'm not sure they can stand Manchester United in that game. Early kick off games are tiring and tougher for me to predict but I'm wishing Manchester United can win the game to aim for a better place on the Premier League table. Props to Liverpool football club tonight, they have done more than enough, Jones second goal was beautiful, but I'll blame his first goal from the goalkeeper because that's a good example of poor goalkeeping. Liverpool played at a very high intensity and it affected and disrupt the midfielder's of West Ham United. Shout out to that left full back for linking Bowen with the pass to that fantastic goal. |

I was confused when I this matchup. I wanted to say the same things about Napoli that I wanted to say about Barcelona. In so far this is a great matchup. I am looking forward to it and I believe this is a close game. I can't call out a favorite, I would still think that if Napoli gets back to old perfromances, Barcelona would lose, but I don't know.
Losing was never in the DNA of Barcelona but with their recent performances, I'm afraid they can be easily thrashed by these elite and mediocre clubs. Barcelona perfromances is volatile and we can not easily predict the winning scores for this fixture, it happen to be one of the challenging UCL game to play for. Napoli faces Barcelona in the round of 16, these fixtures are prerty tough and I doubt if Barcelona can make it out to the next round. They're both elite sides in their perspective leagues wnd and qualifying becomes an important spot for bothsides. It's a game with lots of possiblites, for Barcelona fans to find the gamehar then they have serious issues going down with the club and the players and Xavi Hernandez is yet to identify that for the club now. On this Saturday there is a really attracting game between Roma and Napoli. The game is in Rome so it can be seen as an advantage for Roma. However I wouldn't trust Roma much for this game honestly. Because I don't like their recent performances in the league. Probably Mourinho will choose a cautious game plan against Napoli. This is the classic Mourinho in big games in the end. Napoli are even better at scoring now as Osimhen is back. He will be their key player against Roma surely. I think both teams will score and Napoli will manage to win the game by a gap of one goal. Could this be the reason why Walter Mazzari dropped his first team? Old rivals I guess, they know themselves better amd how they'll both shape. This is tough game to decide though. If it was to be last season, I'll say Napoli to win immediately without checking out for who's fee and completely fit to play for the club. Jose Mourinho would be without his best goalscoring player who is the Belgium International who's still serving the three match ban from his reckless tackle weeks behind. Barcelona had a really big difficulty in beating Almeria. Whenever they got ahead there was an answer by Almeria but finally Barcelona managed to win after getting ahead the third time. Lewandowski was silent about scoring a goal today but at least he made an assist. This win was really important for Xavi indeed considering their recent form. They lost five points in their previous two games in the end. If they lost points in this game as well then probably the point gap with Girona and Real Madrid both would have been wider. But this season will be really tough for Barcelona anyway. I don't feel like they will be able to win the La Liga title.  Defending the tittle was my honest wish, from the start I've always rooted for them to defend the title bit injuries affected Barcelona. Though, I would say that they didn't start the season strongly. They struggled like we didn't expect and it affected how they played in La Liga and partly Champions League. Tue management backing Xavi Hernandez makes sense, that's the right call to make, it won't be just nice throwing off a manager who won you the tittle last season. Besides, Barcelona are good at giving them legends time for upgrades and change. They should level up and stop all of this unnecessary comparisons with Girona. Ain't it shameful?
