Does anyone know what type of ribbon cable is used to connect the RasPi to the A1's ? Does not appear to be a GPIO cable as two pins appear to be swapped.
Looking for a replacement to see if it doesn't fix the low hash-rate.
Edit: Also, the silence from Bit-Tech after reporting these issues is concerning.

Miner config page down on the bottom under settings.
Unchecked it. Still get beeps on startup and when it drops it's network connection

Got my Batch 4 S2 in today and just finished configuring it after swapping the power supply out for a Corsair AX1200. It's humming along at 1THs quite nicely. Thanks again Bitmain !
Took about 30 minutes, requiring removing 5 of the blades to get to the power PCIe connectors.
Does anyone know if it's possible to disable the beeping entirely ?

Anyone that purchased an s-2 with knowledge of the psu being too weak and needing to be replaced.
I'm really pleased with my Batch 3 S2 purchase, and looking forward to my Batch 4 purchase arriving later this week. The power supply seems to be miraculously doing it's job. I really should swap out for a 1200W power supply at some point. It did not appear to be a "quick" work when I took to top off, and appears to be about a 15-30 minute job to perform the transplant, with seemingly needing to take the boards out to get access to the power cables. It's a quality product compared to some of the A1 clones that are being pumped out. The only bummer with the S2's are the greater-than-desired duplicate and stale share submissions, but despite that, it reports a steady near 1THs at the pool. Wish I picked up a couple back in that $1650 group buy Juan ran :| As for packing, I do recall reading unfortunate anecdotes from Group 1 and 2 buyers, but I believe the issues have been largely resolved in Batches 3 and 4. Can't wait for the upcoming 28nm product from Bitmain ! </fanboi>

Yes,the boss is my upperclass fellow.welcome to China if any possible. There were several inquiries made about purchasing your first Beeminer 1THs offerings on these very forums, and best I can tell, there were no answers given about pricing and availability of your products despite being asked directly. Please see this thread that was started by user jbcheng. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=558006.0 Why should we show interest in this product when you did not produce anything for sale in your first offering ?

I have exactly the same problem like you !... and i believe they dont expect return customers !...
Really glad it's not just me. I was a repeat customer Asked if it was possible to pay a reasonable premium to receive a unit that does closer to 1THs, and the response I received was "we will select one our must stable machines" (Note: did not pay a premium, paid the same as everyone else) *sigh* Caveat Emptor I guess

Figured I'd try to bump one more time on the off-chance I get a hit. Otherwise, will start searching the interwebs for options on Monday.
Thanks !

I'm sad to report that my latest delivery never achieves a hash-rate greater than 850GH/s at the pool, despite my best efforts at tuning and troubleshooting I was informed this is "normal" Needless to say, I'm unhappy with my latest delivery. Not sure how these cables got frayed like that between the time it left their facilities and was delivered to my doorstep.

We can only hope.

awaiting juicy S3 news now Same. I'm curious what the additional cost will be to upgrade our current S2's to the new S3 boards once they become available.

I would greatly appreciate any recommendations if anyone is familiar with data centers in the central Dallas area.
Looking to expand my mining operations and need more space.
Thank you kindly.

If anyone needs the coupons, then check ebay item number:151320359776 $49.95 piece.
People like you are why Bitmain are more-than-likely doing away with their coupon program. Thanks, bro. EDIT: Speaking of coupons, if someone has a spare, active S2 coupon they do not plan on using, I would greatly appreciate one. Looking to purchase a unit. Please PM. Thank you kindly.

Does it matter that the 8GB SD Card only shows 7.42 GB in Windows after formatting it, since the Dragon image is 7.76 GB?
I discovered not too long ago that 8GB cards come in different sizes at their upper limit Some SD's can fit images, some can't. Ended up just getting 16GB cards to play it safe. YMMV

7. edit run.sh (nano, vi, etc.) scroll over through the line that runs cgminer and change the boards from 1000 to a lower number to reduce hardware errors. you will notice there are settings in the cgminer line for 5 boards. only the 1st 4 make a difference (unless of course you have a 5-module unit). save your file
Thank you very much for this post. Very helpful for tweaking

Curious. I'm troubleshooting my latest delivery, slapped the dragon_image.img onto an SD, loaded her up, and my rig is hashing at 1THs. ( edit: was throwing a lot of errors. post below to change settings to 950 was very helpful) Hmm. Is there an official restore image we should be using for Bit-Tech products, specifically ? Is the dragonminer image OK to use on these ? EDIT: Official Bit-Tech image: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/yz02suc4j24ium4/dragonboot-4BLADE-ENG.7z

In other news BFL has announced that they've fucked up the PCB design again. Board overheats and shuts down because they jammed 900A of DC/DC regulation into one spot in the center of the board. They allege that an increase in copper weight of the power planes will solve the problem. What to expect: more delays and future fuckups.
Oh and that's when driving the board to 700GH/s although they claim it still occurs at 600GH/S. Good luck with that 1TH businesss BFL.
https://forums.butterflylabs.com/blogs/bfl_josh/"Extended periods of time testing have shown that the boards will gradually build up heat and eventually fail due to one of the copper layers in the board being too thin. Even at 600 GH/s, the board will start to build up heat and will start to get slower and/or die from heat build up. This is exacerbated if it is in a hotter environment. For this reason, we can't ship these boards to customers"
I wonder if the failure in the copper layers produces a stench or a strong smell...

Have 6 cubes that are collecting dust that are looking for a good home. All were working well when I retired them. Did not OC them and are all running at normal clock settings @ 30 GH/s.
Asking 0.15 BTC including shipping to anywhere in the continental United States.
Can post pics if need-be in the morning.
