I just zoomed in to the 1m chart and it seems as though someone did a market sell of ~590 bitcoin. That's like diving into the shallow end of a pool. ... who would do such a thing? It could be a dumb mistake. Flash crashes can be really nice if you have the right buy order. When I used to trade an exchange a lot I’d put something like 70% of my balance on a stupid low order and then trade with the rest, just as a way of separating my funds.. I would also put in stupid low orders before I went to sleep, or quit.. I'm still using this strategy, or at least still trying. I always prefer to have 50%+ liquidity locked into some hideously low buy order, just in case. When it works it's an amazing get rich quick scheme! Though currently only using Binance and liquidity is too high for it to work with common trading pairs, needs to be done on some shit exchange like Kraken or Bitstamp I imagine. We always figured somebody screwed up and missed a decimal, or accidentally put one too many or one too few numbers in their order..
Like if that guy was trying to place that sell at 69800, but accidentally missed a zero and sold at 6980, that’s what you’d see on the charts..
It happens..
Also known as fat fingered discounts  Yeah, look down the books and put it just just above a big wall.. Maker bots are very good these days and create a lot of liquidity and their is just a lot more liquidity in general these days than their used to be.. |

InvestAnswers just said something I've been thinking about for a while.
Although paying off my mortgage is something I could do with the BTC gains he pointed out if you borrow against 2-3% it's really (almost) free money considering the massive inflation rate.
Michael Saylor has been talking about the near zero business loans also.
At least mortgages for individuals are still low, unlike ridiculous credit card rates.
Furthermore I believe BTC will go much higher.
A $1 million BTC and even $10 million BTC in the next 5-10-15 years will not surprise me. Well before my mortgage ends anyway.
Also, these free interest loans on furniture etc make sense since you will really pay less over the entire period rather than in 1 chunk today, again due to inflation.
For you, yes paying on a low interest mortgage while letting your bitcoin ride is probably the way to go for now. But keep in mind, that you may still want to pay if off earlier than 30 years. Here's why: Most people don't anticipate ever getting laid off (even once, much several times) and don't believe ageism is even a thing. You really think that you'll stay employed for 30 years solidly straight with enough income (adjusted for insane inflation) to keep paying that mortgage every month/year and still have enough income left over to survive? You think that you'll be payed the same or more at 60 yrs of age, than you were making at 30? Think again. The time of 30 year careers is over. More like 15 at best, and then you have a career crisis. Exactly. That's why I have a rule: Never ever get loans. Want a better car? Save money, invest in Bitcoin, whatever, until you can afford to pay the full amount. Want a better house and can't buy it? Stay at your current house until you can afford the better one. I don't want to have to pay back some bank for decades and being forever tied to them. The only loan I would consider getting is to buy a house if I didn't own a house. Fortunately I own my house. It's not the most luxurious house, but it's mine, and I don't owe anyone anything. ...and Bitcoin can greatly help do the above! This feels like a great time to have cheap debt to me.. I almost bought a house just now because it was a good deal and cheap debt, but they screwed around and I basically told em to forget about it.. |

Ha ha this is pretty funny!! Interestingly, the dogeparty.io website is still up, but the wallet portion of it has been down for over 5 years. Dogeparty missed the entire ICO wave. People could have been launching their ICO tokens on it for a fee even smaller than ETH's. I should have founded a startup that used Shitcoin as the utility token. You can revamp it now.. Seems it missed the ICO wave but isn’t missing the NFT wave |

Counterparty is back thriving with active devs again and a lot of action..
More $ volume than I can ever remember happening..
I hope that Counterparty will get back on its feet. I think it has a good chance. Despite the years in which there was little development, the protocol has little competition in its field. And it would be cool to see NFT and other side projects on the Bitcoin chain. Tired of using ETH and SOL and all the others for such use cases. |
