181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Tips for Consistent Profits on: September 29, 2023, 11:42:24 AM
It is also important to remember that the favorite does not always win!!!
It never is! I mostly avoid these kind of bets as I know I'll be much more bias on the team I favor on which affects too much of decision making making me lose and disappointed.

I think OP is confused as these tips he provided as it doesn't necessarily bring consistent profits rather it's much more about risk management which might lessen your loss.

Even with how great of a knowledge you have on such sports and research you done of the teams or players playing, you may still end up losing.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Warning] Don't share your casino account! on: September 29, 2023, 08:35:12 AM
I appreciate you giving the advice. Your concern is valid, and I realize that. I mean, these unwanted offers can obviously be attractive. It's a tempting offer to take a cut of the earnings simply for placing a wager.

No, if it's their own money that will be used in gambling, it can be attractive. However, if it's not their money, then it isn't. Furthermore, if it's their money but the condition is that you have to provide them with your login details, that's another red flag. I don't see anything attractive in this offer. It's either you'll risk your own money or you'll risk your personal information by cooperating with them.
This offer may vary depending on the person they're offering to, especially for people who might need those commission or cut just by gambling on their account. I've also received some of these offers via telegram and they'll ask for your credentials and they'll even offer to deposit funds(not the full amount) first before you provide your user and password. You won't really need to use your funds but if ever you do, they'll provide you with a much higher reward or commission.

Also, your KYC matters a lot on these offers as they'll ask for it and your country of origin. So yeah, try to avoid these whether these are honest offers or not as your identity is at stake with these.
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: September 29, 2023, 07:04:53 AM
Is it the game you started playing as a gambler that you still play till now? Is there any gambler in this place who was used to playing a particular game before but never was successful winning or did not win enough and then made up their mind that it was time for a change in the game you gamble on. Which game did you change from, and what did you change to? how long did you play the game that you are deciding to stop playing because of the bad outcomes?
Dice is one of my go-to gambling game as it's one of the first online gambling game I've played and stayed on for long. I even visited multiple gambling platform just to play the same game. I barely win on this game but I'm almost always on profit based due to how I gamble.

There are a few games I've stop or barely bet on or even try to avoid playing are such as Slots or Roulette as I find it addictive, even continue playing even when I know that I don't have any luck on these games unlike when doing it on a physical casino which I win most of time (not a lot though). There are some sport games that I also avoid betting much on especially when I'm in favor of both teams playing.
184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: September 28, 2023, 11:59:18 PM
I don't understand why some members keep insisting on comparing trading to gambling and are totally convinced they are not different from each other. First, gambling is an entertainment activity while trading is a sort of investment or a job if you like.
Second, gambling is based mainly on luck while trading is based on specific skills and experience.
It's true that you can win or lose on both of them but they are not the same and for each of them the possibilities of winning or losing depends on totally different factors.
Gambling and Trading may have some similarities in some sort of way as there's no guarantee whether you earn or win as it varies on multiple factors. By the way, I cannot think how trading can be considered as a job as that may be too far of a stretch to even compare.

While trading may not provide a guarantee of profit but you can strategize your way on minimizing your loss or even control how your money grow, however on gambling it may differ as most games basely rely on luck.
185  Local / Pilipinas / Re: isang banko magooffer ng bitcoin trading sa app nila on: September 28, 2023, 08:43:17 AM
Sa tingin ko goods pa rin naman siya, ayon yung risk na tinake ng UnionBank yung sila ang first bank here in the Philippines na maging open sa crypto. Kahit yang mga Gcash pag inexplore mo may makikita kang mga investment, trading tsaka Gcrypto. Tsaka pumatok yung UnionBank dahil sa pagtangkilik nila sa crypto lalo na nung time ng pandemic, kasi eto talaga ginagamit ko non unlike the other banks di sila open sa crypto as money source. Kung madami man tumangkilik, need talaga ng mga tao sa UnionBank na maging knowledgeable sa crypto since ininvolved na nila to sa bank nila, kasi imagine ibang mga banko ayaw tanggapin crypto since decentralized siya tsaka kumplikado, kaya saludo talaga abang abang nalang sa mga announcement.

Agree dito.

Not sure about dito dahil nung nag-open ako ng account parang ganun yung nangyari.

188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 24, 2023, 11:07:53 PM
In my opinion making cash from gambling is not a good option and the statistical probability that you will win every game at every casino is very low. I think winning or losing every game is completely in your head, so your individual tricks are not there. However, we all have some kind of luck so we should strive for what is possible for us.
Gambling is mostly associated with luck, but for you to win you should also have knowledge and working strategies that will eventually attract your luck and enable you to make profits. At some point, skills are also essential in gambling most especially for sports betting, aside from luck that one should always have. However, we can't force the universe to make us lucky the whole time we are into gambling. That's why some resort into committing a lot of losses before they gain luck and eventually ends profitable.
Exactly, Gambling isn't only associated with luck rather you must put some strategy and logic on most gambling games. Just like you've mentioned, Sports betting isn't only associated with luck as you must also research and make a reasoning or logic as to why you'll be betting on the team or player you'll be betting on. Also, most card games are not only associated with luck but also strategies since you may have a bad card but also win the game.

But on some occasions, there are some games like dice where Luck is the main factor as you mostly cannot control or alter the outcome. However, still, there are some methods, pattern or tricks which may lessen the loss on these games even if you have bad luck.
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling game is not good and everyone should stay away from it on: September 24, 2023, 10:13:11 PM
I can feel your suffering and I can't blame you if that's how you feel about gambling but you can't please everyone with that. Yeah that's right gambling can really destroy you if you don't have self discipline and self control and that's where your father made a mistake and he didn't think how much it would affect you and your family.
He is neglecting his responsibility as a father, he was too addicted to gambling.
It's just sad to see someone's life being ruined because of their parents. I hope someday you will be okay bro
It's really sad to empathize with someone who has been negatively affected by Gambling especially the people around them who are most affected by it. Gambling addiction is quite a bad thing if gamblers aren't able to maintain control themselves during every game or gambling session. I've been in the same scenario where I even asked for a loan from my friends to continue my gambling habits which affected my college life back then. For me, it might be a good thing as it happened to me early on and was able to control myself and was able to avoid going deeper into this addiction.

But still, it's not about pleasing everyone that gambling is bad rather you cannot generalize gambling as a bad thing with only from your experience and how it negatively affects you. There are a lot of good stories too that you may hear from a lot of people who experience a life-changing.  Also, gambling is mostly for entertainment and testing luck whether you may win tons of money or prizes, however, people chase too much about these winnings and got addicted while doing so.
190  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: September 23, 2023, 10:35:34 PM
I bet those gamblers that are lazy to read the Terms of Service will be surprised once they are done playing and try to withdraw to get a notification that they have to provide KYC in order to process their withdrawal.  So it should be an SOP to read the terms of the casino before depositing any amount of money, if unsure of the terms we can always reach out to the support chat to inquire something that we do not understand.

It's not that these kind of gamblers are lazy since if your look into their perspective you may understand how these situations happens. Some casino just advertised too much of them being KYC-free to attract new users until they withdraw where they'll be required to provide documentation for KYC.

But still, it's for us gamblers to understand that these requirements are done under the gambling regulation to make sure the casino platform run. We must be diligent into looking if there is any fine print or catch about these KYC-free platform. Most of them only require KYC if needed such as if you have suspicious activity and/or has met the withdrawal limit for KYC-free users.
191  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PhilHealth under siege: US$300,000 ransom set by Medusa ransomware group on: September 23, 2023, 08:55:06 PM

Quote
The ransomware has been contained. We don't see the malware moving laterally to other computers in Philhealth. Pending other due diligence checks, we can confidently advise Philhealth to resume online services in the next few days."

This is alarming, anong security system kaya ang meron tayo.

Well, syempre hinde talaga makikipagcoordinate ang gobyerno dito at mas gugustuhin pa nilang maexpose ang nga details kesa magbayad ng ganyang kalaking pera.
Para sakin, hindi sa ayaw ng gobyerno natin makipag-coordinate rather parang lose lose situation kasi sa kanila if ever bayaran man nila yung ransom dahil walang guarantee na hindi i-publicized yung mga data.

Off topic, Ako lang ba o parang nagbabalita sila OP kung paano nya ginawa yung thread?  Grin
192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting significant amount on: September 23, 2023, 08:06:09 PM
I casually do this when gambling on dice games as it seems fun to do so especially when you're about to end your gambling session.

Most of the time, I used martingale method and do some alterations from that method to make it last longer however when I have to do something or needed to end my gambling session, I mostly bet all in on one bet with atleast 3x -5x multiplier which most of the time burn my bankroll. However, the thrill and excitement it provide whenever I won these bets are truly fantastic.

Also, I never felt anything when I lose doing it as I do have a certain budget allocated to make sure I never overspend.
193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Talking about big wins on Dice on: September 23, 2023, 04:49:49 PM
Actually it hit pretty quick IIRC. Within 100 bets of chasing that multiplier. I know what you're saying, a player is going to lose more often than win when chasing that high of a multiplier. Sometimes people just get lucky.
There's always someone hitting the rare odds, and you don't see the millions of users who lost the same bet. You'll only see the winners, and given enough attempts, eventually it becomes inevitable for someone to win.
It's really hard to notice those users who bet on these kind of odds especially that most or all of them doesn't really a lot a bet a huge amount on these kind of odds. But still it's amazing to see someone winning these, almost to impossible, odds.

What makes me more impressed about this is that it only took 100bets to win this multiplier. The last I've won was with a 3300x multiplier and it took a lot of bet for me to win, this was way back 2020 and I've stick with my martingale afterwards.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling with Cryptocurrency on: September 22, 2023, 11:58:54 PM
I like 2FA, it adds another layer of protection. There are some gambling sites that do not require KYC, people should know that losing the 2FA backup can lead to loss of their gambling site account that they enable it. But it helps against hackers.
2FA is really a good extra layer of protection not only to any online gambling account but in general to all any other online account. However, there's way to bypass it if ever someone lost their 2FA device on most platform such as verifying through email or doing a KYC verification proving that you're the owner of the account. But yeah, it helps alot against hackers.

As for me, my best practices that I usually do when gambling apart from what's already mentioned is to set up a budget when gambling and a backup budget if ever things went south or extreme so if ever you need to bet more, you know how much you could lose. Setting up one certain budget isn't enough for me as we all know how things happen when gambling.
Actually, isa ang Unionbank sa mga banko na sobrang nagpaparamdam when it comes to crypto mula last year pa. Last year pa talaga nila in-announce yung trading sa app nila at may thread akong ginawa about dyan which is etong "Unang Banko sa Pilipinas na nag-ooffer ng Mobile Cryptocurrency Trading!"
196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When the fun stops on: September 22, 2023, 10:25:26 PM
That term 'entertainment' applies to those who are single and not asked by their parents to submit part of their salaries on their parents' hands. Rest are those who don't come in this category and they cannot entertain themselves through gambling. By the way, you just opened up one side of the coin here, you told us about people who want to win more through gambling. But what about the casinos? What about those who eat our money by any means and not let us withdraw anything and freeze our account for no reason? Do you think we will then be feeling entertained?

I believe the the casinos who wanted to profit in gambling and other scam entities can be discussed on another thread.  This thread is about the people who gambles for fun and yet they end up losing making their supposed to be fun experience become stressful due to the lose of money.
Not sure why he replied that way, like the topic opened up something from his past trauma about financial problem or a previous scam victim.  Tongue

Anyways, entertainment varies depending on each individual how they feel when gambling or playing in general. For me, It depends on how I feel during every gambling session and it's much entertaining when I have a goal whether I'm broke or not. But I mostly avoid gambling when I'm in a bad mood as I never felt any entertainment.

197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some good, trusty casinos that support crypto as payment? on: September 22, 2023, 08:37:43 PM
I can recommend some Casino which I personally liked and play on. You can definitely try to visit Coinroyale by clicking on my signature below, you may find the platform to be simplistic and easy to play on for your casino needs, they offer some sports gambling and casino games which might aligned to preferences.

Other casino I can recommend are, Sportsbet for a major sport gambling experience or Primedice if you're into simple dice game and wanted to pass time. You can also try Stake if you want to experience different casino games and want to have some alternatives for sports betting. These are my personal go-to casino if I wanted to gamble.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Warning] Don't share your casino account! on: September 22, 2023, 02:32:05 PM
What is the procedure for this? Do you have to risk your own money, or will they send you money to bet on a certain game as per their instructions? I'm curious because if they require you to use your own money and claim they will ensure you win, it sounds like they might be trying to scam you, and it may not be related to any legitimate syndicate or organization.
They won't probably ask you to contribute on betting rather they just want to use your account to gamble or whatever activity they wanted to do. Even if you ask to use their own account instead, they'll just provide various reasons as to why it'll be good for the both of you such as you not doing anything and earning or that they don't have much access to the platform as they came from a restricted country.

If it isn't match fixing, it could say least be money laundering.
Whatever it is, you don't provide random people your account credentials especially account that is link to your identity.
199  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May politician kaya na pro Bitcoin or may crypto investments? on: September 21, 2023, 11:07:49 PM
Pero still hopeful pa rin ako, if ever magbago man ang hangin

200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When Gamblers Fail to Read a Casino's Terms and Conditions on: September 21, 2023, 10:23:01 PM
This is what happening right now, and many are panicking if they saw their account being freeze by the site and after posting here they’ll realize their mistake but still continue to accuse the site. Well, reading the terms of conditions might take some time for you but I suggest to fully understand it and before you gamble make sure that you are qualified to gamble on that site to avoid any inconvenience. The site will have to update the gamblers if there’s a changes or else if they failed to do so, they are not a responsible site which you have to stay away as soon as possible.
Most of the thread that shouts a gambling platform especially known ones saying that they got scammed are pretty common however not all of them baseless accusations.

Anyways, I too doesn't really read much with the T&C and usually just tick the box when registering to a platform but I make sure that I have common knowledge of their basic terms and conditions especially with restricted countries.

As for OP's number 4, which talks about gambling addiction, I don't think reading the T&C will help these type of gamblers as it will always be the casino which cause us to be addicted to gambling  Grin

Also, number 5 is so subjective as support should be able to explain and be patient to their clients or gamblers on their questions or issues. Gambler's lack of knowledge should never be a valid reason for customer support to be rude.
