1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 07, 2023, 10:27:33 PM
Anyone seen the game between the Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz? what happened?

Was watching it when the Jazz was making a run, but I have to make some errands and then spoke to one of my friends about, of all the topic, about gambling. And when I come back, Mavs won already by a big lead 13 points.

But the announcer says that at one point the Jazz lead by 15? So it's a complete turn around? Kudos for the Dallas team for winning against a tough team in the road without Luka Doncic.
Honestly, Dallas was leading all of fourth quarter, they got an easy win. The real issue starts for them now, with Doncic and Kyrie playing together and everyone is saying the same thing; usage rate. Kyrie is a ball dominant guard, and Doncic is a ball dominant superstar as well, put them two at the same time on the floor and there will be at least one of them unhappy, maybe both of them.

If you give the ball too much to Doncic, Irving will be unhappy about it, and if you give it to Kyrie then Doncic will be unhappy, if you share between them then both won't get much and be unhappy together. Which is why this is going to suck for them for a long time, and bet they won't renew contracts with Kyrie this summer.

I see the same thing happening.  The league is in love with Luka and kyrie has too big of an ego to not be at least the 1(a) option on the team.  If he is treated like a 2 you will see him unravel.  He will ball hog and screw up what they are doing over there.  Luka needs stars with good character kyrie isn't that guy.
1802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: February 07, 2023, 09:46:49 PM
I think Biden has a chance if Trump were to win the Republican nod.  They are both so heavily disliked nationwide that I think it could turn out just like the last election did.

You're right. Biden probably won only because people had enough of Trump and his constant boasting. I'm the best at this, I'm the best at that, grab them by the pussy. Tongue

IMO this time there's very high chance of a woman president. People had enough of war mongering white, conservative, rich guy, so they voted for a black liberal, then again for something completely opposite, which was another rich white guy, and then again a rich, white conservative, because this is what they wanted but unfortunately the guy is too old for the job. There's a chance people will again want the complete opposite, which is a liberal woman, preferably not white.

Don't think trumpy boy is gonna get the nod this year for the republican party.  I could see de santis getting the nod.  Doesn't matter trump will run anyway lol.  If that's the case than I don't see anyone winning the popular vote and would end up coming down to a few key states again.  Florida was key for trump no way he could win that state this time around.  Either way I'm ready for the popcorn worthy debates and then the ultimate deflating election in which we ALL get someone who doesn't represent the people anyway.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 06, 2023, 09:29:49 PM
Should probably take a day or 2 off but this has got to turn around lol.

Utah -9 against Dallas.  With Luka out and kyrie not playing yet they shoukdnt win and can see them getting blown out.

Celtics -10.5 on the road.  Big spread on the road but Celtics should roll on this one.

Clippers -8 against Nets.  No kyrie, no Durant, no win.

Good luck tonight everyone!

With 2 weeks recovery time and the "medicine" they have available, no way henne sees the field.  The nfl wants the cheifs to win, what better hero story than the face of football and playing hurt leading his team to win the super bowl.  They will sell that until the register is full.  Hate the weekend off between playoffs and the super bowl.  Nothing to watch today!

Whaaaat? You didnt watch the ProBowl?  Shocked Just kidding!  Cheesy
Although... I had a quick look yesterday, it's still not that special but they really tried to reinvent the Probowl. Some skill games were interesting and I liked the flag football better than the usual boring game.

The good times with Sean Taylor are long gone.
For those who don't know what I mean - here's a little clip:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SC7Wx3zCiQo

It's a glorified hangout.  All star games are real tough now that large salaries are involved.  Nobody wants to blow out an acl ruining their career, I mean I get it especially with football.  NBA is a little easier, they play little to no defense until the last quarter, and baseball not being a contact sport it's much easier to simulate a true all star game.

Base on the steady market increase early this year, some coins increases times two but now it has falling drastically.

That's exactly how money is made in crypto.  Having enough where with all to glfigure out which coins will survive a bear market.  And then load up on them when everyone is selling.  As the saying goes: be fearful when people are greedy, and greedy when people are fearful.  Essentially buy low sell high.
1806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burning feature is not utility on: February 05, 2023, 06:19:05 PM
Someone was trying to give me investment advice and he keeps repeating the part about burning features, this was where I lose my cool, do you know how foolish it sounds when all you have to tell me about a new project is that it has a huge burning feature?

Why are newbies so obsessed with burning off part of a token supply? It makes no difference and still won't stop a project from dying or even getting you scammed, burning won't keep a project alive, the projects that are worth using the burn feature should be those with very good utility already.

Good that you can see through that mess.  You are right it's not a feature it's a ploy to artificially raise the price.  Any project that manipulates their own supply and price is not serious they are in it for the cash grab.  Why build in the supply only to burn it.  Makes zero practical sense.

Agreed I am waiting to see if any news comes out about mahomes.  I'm leaning towards Chiefs because as a giants fan I can't seem to root for the eagles to win.  Up and down though the eagles are pretty good.  Just think having to go through the giants and 49ers without a qb they haven't seen much co.petition in over a month.  Think the chwifs catch them off guard and win 27-22.  There that's my initial take.

Good guess. Cant root for the eagles aswell.  Roll Eyes

In my opinion, it pretty much stands and falls with the health of Mahomes.
But I strongly believe that he will give everything to be able to play in the Super Bowl. Of course, it can't be done without drama, that's why the decision will be made public shortly before.
Otherwise it would be boring...

I pray for every Chiefs fan that they don't have to see Chad Henne on the field.  Cheesy

Second night of a back to back I might take the 76ers here -4 against the Knicks on that back to back.  If embid plays he puts in an easy 40 points.  Spread seems low.

Taking the Grizzlies-2 they need to turn this around.

And last I'm taking Timberwolves-3.5 at home against Denver who I think jokic is out.

Good luck today everyone.

Just a brutal ending to that knicks game.  They were down 17 came all the way back to be up 3 with seconds to go.  Of course Clippers hit a 3 at the buzzer and won in overtime.

Why doesn't everyone foul when they are up 3. I never liked letting another team chuck up an open 3.  Brutal loss..
1810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 04, 2023, 10:23:19 PM
That would be a great deal for the Lakers if that happens but usually, we get to see these trades that are favoring the team that will be left or traded for.
This is an exciting developing story and if the rumors are true then there's an increased chance for the Lakers to be seen continuing to play together with Lebron but, it's on them to do the deal.
To convince the Nets management to move Kyrie, the Lakers will undoubtedly need to make a strong offer. They will need to take into account the deal's total worth in addition to merely handing up WB. The Nets want to ensure that they are receiving something in return that will assist their team and them develop.
It's difficult to know with certainty what the Nets could be searching for. They may be seeking for young players with promise to fill critical roles or for draft selections to establish the foundation for the future. Additionally, it could be both at once. Regardless of the circumstances, the Lakers will need to figure out how to strike a balance between their desire to get Kyrie and what the Nets are seeking in exchange.
There is little doubt, though, that this trade season will be intriguing, and we'll be paying careful attention to what transpires. The Lakers are a strong team with a ton of skill, and if they can complete this deal, they'll be a force to be reckoned with. The way it all turns out and the effect it has on the league as a whole will be fascinating to observe.
Both, as we can see throughout big trades, it involves certain players + future draft picks. We have seen this when Mitchell was traded to Cavs and same with Gobert to T'wolves. But as this point, the Lakers are not willing to trade their future drafts any longer, if I'm not mistaken, they have used it to get Westbrook from Washington. So not sure how the Lakers will go on this trade if they are really interested on getting Kyrie Irving to partner will Lebron. But for now I will say that the Lakers are not willing to trade for Kyrie, it's going to be a big risk for them.

That this is going to be a risk worth taking in my opinion. If they can actually get him on the team and also he can partner well with LeBron James, it is going to be great for Lakers are not performing well enough right now in my opinion.

So, they should take some risks right now if the situation is "high-risk-high-reward". But if the thing the reward might not be as expected, I think there is no problem not getting Kyrie.

Duke Khan

On lighter note this Lebron and Irving duo is already proven they got a championship back on cavs so maybe they can make this happen on Lakers to if Irving is willing to do the same what they perform on their old team. But can't imagine how many picks or player they should trade before they can get this guy since for sure Nets will not give this trade an easy one since they also want to get benefit on this possible trade.

Current trade rumors about Kyrie going to the LA Lakers simulates that the Lakers will at least give 2-first round picks just to acquire him, now I know it's risky because a couple of a first round picks are too valuable for the Lakers now because they are going to have a rebuilding soon enough. But if they badly want an improvement this season, then acquiring Kyrie is the only option because yes, it's already proven that this duo will certainly give the other teams some struggle plus with Davis on the line. This will be interesting if this will materialize as Irving really looks up upon LeBron and I think he won't do any careless actions that will lose the respect towards each other.

The only first round picks they have available to trade is in 2027 and 2029.  Another team will have an easier way of acquiring him.  Nets have no need to deal with the Lakers, Lakers have nothing to offer them really.  I can see a team like the heat taking a stab at him.  Think that might be the best fit or possibly the Bucks.  It's a one year rental because he is a free agent after this year.  Only teams that will offer anything are teams on the fringe of Winning a championship.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: February 04, 2023, 10:18:43 PM
The final match between the Chiefs and the Eagles is just a few away.  I like Kansas if I have to choose who to root for even though my heart would have wanted the 49ers in this superbowl.  Who are you rooting for?  Are you happy with these teams that will compete?

I’m undecided who I’m going to root for / bet on. It all depends on how healthy Mahomes gets by the time the game comes next week. If he’s feeling like a full go at practice then I’m taking the chiefs, but I’m not sure if that’s even going to be possible in his condition. I’m happy with both these teams playing each other, I think it’s pretty representative of whom the best teams are for each division.

Another piss poor night of betting last night rough week continues.  But tonight is a new night right Smiley

I've laid off betting my knicks but them giving 3.5 points at home seems like a stretch.  Knicks +3.5. Kawhi will have a big night but knicks prevail by 2!

Gimme golden state by 10 at home.  No luka= worst team in the NBA.  Dallas is God awful without Luka on the floor.  Gs wins easily.

Heat on the road +5.5 against the Bucks.  Jimmy buckets hot held down in NY expect a big game out of him and a close game.

Last (for now) I like the Nuggets-7.5 at home against the Hawks.  Tough matchup here but think Denver pulls it out.

Good luck everyone!

It's not dead but there is no need for it to go on another run.  Me coins have seen their run and most people are just bag holding at this point.  With supply increasing 10k new coins every 1 minute it will be hard for demand to outpace supply causing another massive price spike.
1814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 04, 2023, 08:05:04 PM
If this trade will happen, Westbrook will surely be one of the players who will be traded since Irving-Westbrook trade might not be acceptable for the Nets. The fact that Irving had already stated his decision to leave the team, then makes the waiting time before the trade deadline more exciting.

I'm more inclined to think Irving will stay with the Nets for the rest of this season and become a free agent in the offseason. However, there have already been rumors of a potential deal between the Lakers and the Nets. As far as I know, the Lakers could include Westbrook, two first-round picks, and another role player in the deal. Anyway, if that happens or not, we'll know very soon because the trade deadline is February 9.

I'm not sure the Nets want Irving to stick around after all the problems he's caused there from the beginning.  At this point, they probably want to wash their hands with him.  He also told them he won't resign, so it's a matter of if they want to get anything in return for him at all, or let him go for nothing.  I'm sure they'd probably appreciate having Russ around as he's a hard worker and good employee.  The opposite of Kyrie.  In my opinion, if they do decide to keep him, it's out of spite in order to make the rest of this season hell for him.  I could also see them shipping him to Toronto or some other far off land.  I tend to think they would appreciate being rid of the distraction though, so at this point a trade of Kyrie to the Rockets for a bag of skittles wouldn't surprise me.

Agreed.  Think the Nets will try to bury him on a sub par team who is willing to give up some picks.  Better off they at least get some picks instead of losing him for nothing.  Kyrie better watch the line though eventually not many teams will want to deal with this on a yearly basis.  Players get phased out for stuff like this, especially when he is on the wrong side of his prime years.
1815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a crypto project reliable and trustworthy ? on: February 03, 2023, 10:21:01 PM
Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrency and most altcoins are way less qualified in terms of credibility, fanbase, high returns with minimal risks etc. I am trying my best to analyze altcoin projects but the results are not pleasant. What makes an altcoin really trustworthy ? And why ? Please let me know your opinions.

Trick question, pretty much none of them are once ypu break them all down.  Once something gets too big there is a sense of scam in the air.  Greed makes people do wierd things.  What I mean is that projects can start with good intentions, but if they are really that good and become big the money will alter the project inherently.

With the way it was originally distributed how can you be for it?  Isn't this one of the most centralized coins out there.  Only enriching the select few.  I don't know the entire story I haven't followed xrp for awhile now but don't think anything has changed.

Terrible week gambling here.  Going to take it down to just 2 games tonight hoping for at least a 2/3 to get back on track.

3 home teams 2 favorites and 1 dog

Wizards -3
Boston -10.5, how can't you take this team lol
And last gimme the Rockets +8 at home.  That's a lot of points to give while at home.

Good luck everyone.
1818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 03, 2023, 10:09:37 PM
Brooklyn Nets is actually doing surprisingly good. 4th place in the eastern conference and 31-20 right now. And, bam!, Kyrie wants to be traded until the deadline, which is 9th of February. I know this is a natural part of professional sports but I personally don't like this. He wanted to be traded last summer but changed his mind and stayed for one more year. What could be the reason to drive him away so hastily. Some times a decent amount of loyalty is good. Just when finally Nets can do something in the playoffs, Kyrie is running away.
Kyrie has a 15% trade bonus which would have to be paid by the Nets if Irving doesn't void it. He is currently averaging 27.1 PPG. A big loss indeed for Brooklyn that could greatly affect their chance of surviving in playoffs. Rumors said that he is interested in the Lakers. If ever it will happen, the Lakers might have a bigger chance to get a spot in the Play-In tournament. What I'm thinking is will they find their chemistry in time?
Brooklyn would be doing themselves a favor by trading Kyrie IMO. Also, the Lakers would likely be fine. Kyrie and Lebron have played together fine in the past. I doubt we would see an issue. The question is, does KD want to play with Westbrook again?

I think AD and Westbrook have move on and probably is willing to work it out again given another chance. But I think it will be a bad move for the Lakers to get another player with attitude and that is Kyrie. They should be better getting other players that is low key and just wanted to help them to win another ring. Kyrie had history already, against the Boston Celtics and now the Brooklyn Nets. I think the Lakers has a good chance for the playin or even playoff if they continue to win after the All star, they are just 2 games behind the 8th spot.

Kyrie to the Lakers ain't happening.  Nets probably would want a young star or some good draft picks none of which the Lakers have.  Trading away AD and getting kyrie doesn't do the Lakers any good.  They still have an issue with their bench being terrible.  Wonder how Durant plays out in all of this.  Nets might want to restart all over and get a sick package back for the 2 of them.
1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 02, 2023, 10:09:37 PM
Got it down to 4 games tonight (and a fifth if I wasn't a knick fan)

Denver -12 against the dubs.  Yep think they take the night off here.  Denver by a ton
Bucks-3.5 at home no matter how the injury list shapes up think they take this game down
Lakers -2.5 on the road.  Liking the Lakers swagger again
Gonna ride lebron into the all star break.
Memphis +5.5.  Dangerous team

And last...if I was not a knick fan I'd bet Miami-2.  Knicks suck at home...I will be rooting for the Knicks but see them chalking up the L at home.  Team is going sideways right now.

Another boring cash grab.  It's not even good boxing just filling entertainment gaps and people are willing to pay for it.  I don't get it, what is the obsession with watching Paul box?  Fundamentally it's not even good boxing to watch.  These sub par amateur or entertainment fights hopefully will be a thing of the past soon.  It's getting tired.
