1801  Other / Meta / Re: All blame to bounty hunters. on: August 24, 2020, 07:22:47 PM
OP, have you heard anything about "Quality Over Quantity? How do you say that shitposters make this forum more active and popular? Imagine, when I see a good, interesting topic where would love to see opinions from others, boom, there are thousands of shitposts in such topics and 1-2 good post gets lost. Personally, I prefer to see only these 1-2 good post and don't have to rummage through all of them.

Bounty hunters are like an asthma, it's hard to see good posts (breath) but once you delete (use inhaler), forum gets cleaner and cleaner (relaxing the muscles of the airways into the lungs and you breath easily).
1802  Other / Archival / Re: The Ultimate Online Slots Guide on: August 23, 2020, 11:59:27 PM
Most of the slots use Random Number Generator (RNG) where on each bet your luck is started from 0 that means each bet doesn't increase your chances, instead every bet carries the same lack as old ones. But it will be interesting to see any review in details about slots that use provably fair system. The only slot with PF system that I know is Bitsler's Fruitsler. For their fruitsler, they use new version of server seeds and more details are on their website.

House edge of slots are very high in overall and it doesn't worth to gamble with big budget cause you'll end up without your money pretty soon (if profit is what you want from gambling and again, this is very silly). Otherwise, for fun, slots are one of the most amazing, at least personally I find them this way because modern slot games have good graphics, nice and a lot of features while some of them carry good epic songs.
1803  Economy / Economics / Re: The number of jobless people has crossed one million in US - worrying sign? on: August 23, 2020, 11:05:06 PM
Idk what happens around you but I see a lot of people who share the idea that "Trump is not my president".  It's always easy to blame someone but of course, because of this virus number of unemployment has significantly risen, sadly as it should have been. It's another task whether trump did right actions in correct way and time and etc. Situation was especially worse in America, there are still a lot of people who don't care about corona virus and just want to continue life normally and don't care whether they get affected by this virus or not and I totally understand to them, at some point I was in their queue but things need much more clarification and deep analytics rather than just easily blaming someone.

The increase in the unemployment rate is not only visible in the US but also in other countries who are still struggling with the rapid increase in COVID cases. It might worsen if the situation remains until the last quarter and I think it will be hard for the economy to recover while there's still a lot of new cases. But for sure, once the vaccine is already available, the US can recover from the decline they are facing right now.

As for political views, there will always be two sides, the one who's not satisfied with the performance and the once who still believe with the administration's capability in handling the pandemic. Now it's up for the people who will vote in the next election, and I think this crisis is a big lesson for everyone.

This crisis isn't a lesson for anyone. Sometimes things happen as someone wants to be. If it's a lesson, then why do we have experts in economics? Then change this title and it will be whole different tasks.
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain solution for Pension system of Primary school teachers of Bangladesh on: August 23, 2020, 06:41:27 PM
It is not something important for cryptocurrency to be legal in Bangladesh. But blockchain based technology implementation is one step toward crypto to be legal because people will realize utility of blockchain based solution.
A Bangeldeshi government agency is collaborating with IBM to harness blockchain for modernizing the country’s digital pension system.
Source- https://cointelegraph.com/news/ibm-pilots-blockchain-solution-for-primary-teachers-pensions-in-bangladesh

Considering how corrupted the government officials are in Bangladesh, blockchain implementation can become a key thing to bring back transparency into the system. It's not just about Bangladesh but also its neighbors like India and Pakistan as well. Majority of their government officials are highly corrupted and bribe is the only thing that will help you to get your work done.

Implementation of blockchain may help to bring transparency which is really needed to end the suffering of common people's dealing with government officials.

But it's just an assumption. It hard to break the hive of corruption so I can only hope for the best. In India, I had experience in dealing with Land Records & Revenue department for registering my property and 3 levels of bribes were nedded to get my legal job done and I wasn't at fault for anything.
I absolutely agree with you, integration of blockchain technologies will raise trust among people but at the same time government has to educate people around blockchain, what it is, why it's used and why it makes them sure that things will be fair and transparent. Without this kind of education, they can't make people sure in things by just saying that we integrated blockchain technologies.
Very good news, I like when blockchain technologies really rock in things where it's necessary and this one is really the one among other things that includes land title registry and so on.

Yeah, it is insane to think that they have added betting on top of everything else. I mean we are talking about a place that was basically filled with faucet first, there was ads everywhere and they charged a lot because it was one of the most visited crypto places in the world (not it is even one of the most visited all websites and not just crypto) and right now it is getting really really awesome, we are talking about a place that was already awesome in the first year and right now there is even 10x better version here with all the additions. Kudos to wetsuit man, he is definitely awesome for building something like this.

I haven't really seen any addition to here that wasn't liked by the people, whatever you guys did was well received and gets so much attention.

I actually never remember any ads on this site, so I guess that must have been before 2016 or 2017 (can't remember when I opened my account on FBC). But even the faucet only days before I deposited I really don't even remember captcha except on occassion.

So for me, except for Golden Tickets, and daily wagers and the sports/events betting, the site actually hasn't changed much at all (and that's a good thing!).
Freebitco was one of the most famous website in bitcoin's history back in 2016. It was so famous that articles written via banks were suggesting freebitco as a one major way to earn bitcoin. Btw yeah, there was some ads on website but it wasn't much, everything was pretty normal, I would even say that they didn't have much ads and also want to mention that along with adsense (if I remember correctly), you could buy ads on their website via bitcoins and it was cheap.
Freebitco did the right things in last 1-2 years, they understood that faucet business was dying but at the same time they wanted to stay alive and even more on market. They changed their visions, integrated very beneficial things for themselves, had good amount of money and in order to collect more, offered people profit on investments.

Soon we will see sports betting on freebitco, blog and even more Smiley
1806  Economy / Trading Discussion / Virtual trading before actual one - pros and cons on: August 23, 2020, 03:13:35 PM
I see a lot of advice where people suggest each other to practice on websites where they can trade with virtual money. To be fair, I am in this list too among them but at the same time no one warns such people that it was it's pros and cons, more likely cons are outsiders while giving advices.

Pros: You trade with virtual money where your actions can't raise/damage your real budget, it looks like you spend money like nothing. This gives us possibility to test our skills and abilities in trading and help us further why we make mistakes and what we need to fix while considering the fact that the reason why I profit/lose is because you lose/profit.

Yeah, it sounds good but sometimes when we move on real life trading, things go wrong. We are always warned to leave our emotions outside while we are trading that includes: Not to panic sell, hold when there are harsh moments, etc. But we forget to mention another main emotion that we face in this situation: We trade with our money where we are responsible to results and these results may have huge impact on our life. Inside, in our subconscious, we worry about the results because we trade with our, real money.

To my mind that's one of the main reason why people usually start well with virtual trading and end up badly in real life trading and somehow this is one of the most skipped problem in overall.
1807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More than 50% of bitcoins from Twitter hack have been sent through mixers on: August 22, 2020, 08:50:09 PM
17,18 bitcoin? hah, that's nothing. Back in when binance was hacked, at Least 4,836 BTC was laundered through chipmixer. More than one year has passed since then if I am correct and nothing has happened to chipmixer, so, believe me, this amount is just a drop in the ocean.
Persoanlly I couldn't imagine if any mixer would try to really enter this market seriously but Chipmixer just rocks, they are not only great but greatest in what they do. Will be interesting to see if they were caught soon after using mixing services and which mixer succeed in this situation.
1808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: August 22, 2020, 08:15:18 PM
First of all I want to mention that I used to have great knowledge in sports (not recently because don't have any free time for that). Every statistics is very important because you predict the future and you can more accurately predict it when you know the history, that includes: Which team needs win the most, in what conditions are each team? How did transfers affect to each club? Did star players made club better or still can't they rise? What are the scores in recent matches? Is this game important for certain club? Do they need to be more rested for upcoming match? And this goes endlessly.

But overthinking always kills everything so just don't overthink but consider a lot of things.
1809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and crypto currencies are getting dangerous on: August 22, 2020, 07:04:33 PM
I noticed how every exchange now enforces KYC on every individual that registers on their site, also the global governments/exchanges tracking bitcoin users and monitoring how they spend their bitcoins with the advanced visuals tools that’s out there, I believe if this stays like this and more and more companies start to enforce kyc on it customers, we will lose our freedom, people think bitcoin is the freedom but no it’s aint I believe it’s the most invasive surveillance mechanism ever, we can’t even use mixers anymore it’s basically doesn’t work because at the end of the day it’ll leave a trace no matter what you do, this is heading towards a solitary environmental and it’s not a good idea at all. Lets think twice and focus on our freedom, privacy and future.
Bitcoin was leaving the trace from the very begining, blockchain alone is an opened book of transactions but this doesn't mean that bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are getting dangerous. What gives you a reason to say that? If everything you do is 100% fine and legal, then believe me, no one will seek for your transactions and do deep investigation around it, so finally you are still secured and aren't traced. But if you do illegal things, then yeah, bitcoin isn't secure cause as you see lately, a lot of people who used bitcoin for bad purposes were caught and it's not so easy to hide your bitcoins because people already learnt how to trace it.

And KYC, yeah, I don't like it too and still there are some business that offer crypto services without KYC but very limited in number. Governments request them to ask users for their KYC documents but at the same time they can't protect these sensitive information carefully and lose it multiple times (we got hacked and other blablabla).
1810  Economy / Economics / Re: Some are hungry, some are losing their homes - some are doubling their wealth on: August 22, 2020, 06:41:58 PM
~snip~

Although from a legal standpoint we can't do anything, is it normal that 1/3 of the US population is literally on their knees, while others don't know what to do with their money?

To make matters even more tragicomic, Jeff Bezos leads the list of America’s rich is asking for donations for his 800 000 employees, and in same time his net worth is $189.4 billion Huh This is actually the case for some serious psychologists if you ask me...

As long as people like this are our role models and moral verticals, we shouldn't hope for a better world - but lest someone misunderstand me, I'm not just criticizing the American system, this is happening all over the world.

~snip~

There is one great lyrics from my favourite song: This is the world you've created, the product of what I've become.
This words truly describes that we created terrible world and how? Let me clarify. Always, there are some people who have ambition to be better and on another level than others. Once this man achieves success and others become his/her slaves, there is someone who tries to overcome from this situation and become free and this kind of person also tries to attract people who may share the same idea but imagine what happens then? There is a one person who tries to get the most from this situation and rise himself/herself in a selfish way while abandon what others were working on and trying to achieve.

Maybe when you read this example, you may think about ancient slave-soldiers but this applies to current reality.

There are some people who own money that would be enough for most part of the society but... People even don't care about that and that's a huge problem. Have you seen very massive protests in the streets around this problem? No...

And Jeff Bezos, he is really mentally ill. He made a lot of money during pandemic and as a bonus, significantly cut affiliate fees for those who are under Amazon Affiliate Program.
1811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Restaurant convert entire savings to Bitcoin on: August 21, 2020, 11:32:25 PM
Wow, I am very amazed by the actions that were taken by them. They did crazy stuff (in a good way) and somehow, usually there are times when such thing succeed. But in any way that's a very risky move because USD is like a global currency, if anything goes down with it, everyone goes down but at the same time bitcoin is a very risky currency too, it can go down a lot in a matter of seconds and not rise for months but at the same time it can skyrocket. The bogo deal of bitcoin is that it can go doen but can rise without limits.
1812  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 'Know Bitcoin' app is live! on: August 21, 2020, 09:30:17 PM
Sorry, I can't download it because of my IOS, so better to think about developing this app for apple products (oh it costs a lot).
Appreciate the effort that you put into it but the app needs a lot of improvement and first of all, start with UI (What attracts you at first? Appearance).
I had the same idea in past and I think it will be really good to release it, will write about it in some days/weeks. I think community should make such APP but more professional and elegant and these content should be available in different languages. It also mustn't be only information but quizzes, tests and some entertainment.

You could also use bitcoin wiki because content is under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0

Not written in proper English but understood the point of your post.
There was one accident that absolutely suits to your post and 100% answers to your question. User Lone Shark was actively offering landing service on bitcointalk but after some time someone caught him and was permanently banned because of copy/pasting posts but ban was remove by theymos because of his loan service.
If you are asking whether someone may notify/warn you before ban, then - no, it comes as a suprise.

Also if such thing happened in past, it doesn't mean that same may happen in future. Don't go against the rules, if you can't protect them, then why to be there?

You can see his profile here and check threads created by him and one red trust where you'll see things in more details: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=909705
1814  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun-Most trusted & coolest looking provably fair blackjack in Market on: August 20, 2020, 07:30:42 PM
That is the thing that makes blackjack.fun the best blackjack website in the world, they have seen the problem, they have contacted back and they will try to rework and fix the issue. You know what other places do? There are two types, one of them just ignores it for the longest time and maaaaybe fix it one day, or even wait until there is a new V2 and fix it there, the other people just get the feedback, tell you nothing, work on it and fix it and let you know when they fix it, meanwhile you have no idea from the feedback to fix if they are working on it or not so you just wonder if it is a place to actually go play.

Blackjack.fun is not like that, they are always here and they always talk about what they are doing, like the multiplayer and so forth, you know EXACTLY what they are working on.
Believe me, there are a lot of services that actively read and analyze feedbacks and try hard to work in it and in this case I mean gambling industry, both, casinos and suppliers (i.e. slot providers, live casino suppliers and so on).
But mostly what makes blackjack.fun highly prominent is that they read every advice that's given here and boom, second day you wake up and what you posted in this thread is already changed/implemented on website.

DarkDays
Withdrawals are instant as far as I remember, withdrew for 2 times and got my bitcoins quickly.
Oh, there isn't any built-in exchange on their website, hope it will be implemented soon.
1815  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling.org Official Thread - Trusted Online Gambling Sites Since 1996! on: August 18, 2020, 07:54:26 PM
What's new becomes old and what's old becomes new again.
You had to say: Everything new is well-forgotten old. Cheesy

At first there was poker.com and now gambling.org ? Hmm, so great domain owners are interested in crypto business but... Btw any proofs that website is yours? I checked it and there isn't bitcoin/crypto mentioned anywhere, also there isn't a list of crypto casinos, except bitstarz.com that's mixed and in overall you include real money casinos.

Logo is okey, not good, not bad, just in the middle. It reminds me pokerstars because of that icon in the middle of word "g".
And do you own gamblersanonymous.org too? Would love to hear from you.
1816  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: "Signature Campaign" does work for marketing? on: August 18, 2020, 06:56:49 PM
they do work , but there are too many variables to take into account
the main problem - it is very costly and for a website without a proper bankroll / marketing funds it could be better to use other forms of marketing
don't expect a flood of gamblers waving their money from the get go ,  signature campaigns are more than that:
backlinks , exposure , proof of funds of sorts etc.
and certainly , do monitor the effects of the campaign if you launch it
Signature campaigns and marketing alone can't boost number of gamblers/players if they don't like your product. Marketing and in our case signature campaign, helps business owners to reach to potential customers, as much as possible. Design of sig campaign, participants of sig campaign and business model (whether gambling, exchange or something other) affects the number of impressions.

Did 90 from 100 clicked on signature and came into your website? Congrats, along with possible 1-2 misclick, a lot of users were interested. Didn't they registered/visit your website again? Then seems there is something wrong with product or with both, product and what text on signature promises.

There are a lot of details that have huge influence on marketing. You have to analyze each of them and improve your weak points in order to achieve success.

And oh, I already answered that campaigns work and there are great examples, both, past and current.

Jet Cash
Usually thread authors (OPs) post images for introduction in ANN threads but of course there are other cases too (for example, promotions, statistics, etc).

When someone quotes the same image, it doesn't increase load time / data usage but seems to be really boring.

NavI_027
Idea behind this procedures is to resize image in order to get smaller image that as a result is smaller in size (MBs/KBs). And then compress after that to get even smaller in size.

LoyceV
Your picture described everything perfectly:
PNG - Portable Network Graphics
JPG  / JPEG - Joint Photographic Experts Group

So, long story short, PNG = higher quality images than JPG but is higher in size too because of this reason.
Advantege of PNG over JPG is that sometimes we need images with transparent background (for example, logos).

Also, I want to mention WEBP since I included it in topic. This new image format was created especially for web. WEBP offers lossless compression of images and higher quality at the same time. Idea behind WEBP was to make load of images faster and efficient.

bob123
Nothing can be compressed without losing quality but this compression allows you to reduce size while making it almost impossible for eye to detect the difference between two.

P.S. There are two benefits of this compression. Less data when using mobile network and less load time of images, as a result faster and better performance on every device. Personally, I prefer to see thread loaded in 3 seconds rather than in 7 seconds.
1819  Other / Meta / Make this forum a better place - part 1 on: August 06, 2020, 11:07:23 PM
Hello guys!
As I see, sometimes people post images in threads and sometimes they open threads with a lot of images. As you know, it makes load time a little bit slow because images are high in size. To reduce the load time and make things more comfortable for everyone, I think it will be better if all of us compress images, this will save space and time and isn't hard.

1. For example, let's see the size of this Image 1 - Seems to be 171.8 KB. Normal but how far can we compress it?

2. First of all, compress JPG/PNG images without losing quality by using TinyJPG

As we see, we have 74% reduction in image size without losing quality and got 44.5 KB in size.

3. Can we compress it even further? Yes but for this we need to convert image into webp and compress in this format. You can't upload webp images on imgur, so have to use another image upload website.
For highest compress, we can use compress-or-die.

So, go here, click on select a file, then choose your image and upload. Then, you'll get window with settings for your image where you can change compression percentage and so on, but it automatically sets quality on 75%, so let's see the result (btw I resized the image):

I guess there shouldn't be any noticable difference on 85% compression, btw you can try it to see results yourself and do the same in future on this forum to help those who use mobile data to save network Cheesy

Useful links together:
1. JPG/PNG only compression: https://tinyjpg.com/
2. Convert JPG/PNG and compresses into webp: https://compress-or-die.com/webp
3. GIF compression: https://compress-or-die.com/webp
4. Image resize: https://resizeimage.net/
Btw, good luck guys!

Will update the list in near future.
1820  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] FortuneJack.com | 4-Day Dice Signature Campaign - Full Members & Up on: August 05, 2020, 10:45:07 PM
I confirm the payment received here as well. Thanks FortuneJack.

But what about that 'minimum withdrawal amount' issue? Where is the logic to pay campaign participants and then locking funds on your platform? That was not part of the deal.
If we have to gamble and lose part of the amount, fine. But it is not fair to require additional deposit just so we can withdraw the amount earned.

This is just the default setting on everyone. Don't worry, no one from FJ will ever ask you to gamble in order to collect higher than 0.004 bitcoin for withdrawal. I guess, Hhampuz will report this issue and participants will be able to withdraw without any problem.
