1821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: who lost all their btc from mintpal? on: November 05, 2014, 04:23:17 PM
Lets just wait few more days before deciding that all BTC is lost... they might have some technical error.

A fat fuck stole the coins.... That's about as technical as this explanation  gets...

BTC will flag post between $300-$450 for another month or so. When it breaks $490 level we will see another run. Just my 2 cents.

Will that happen before or after the FTC dumps several million dollars worth of Butterfly Labs BTC on the open market very shortly?

Just curious.

I will buy them, so will many other people
the cheaper the better if they want to crash the price down a bit
I will happily take advantage of the dip if I get the opportunity
Before everyone else

Your crazy if you think a whale dump will affect the price for long
before it gets swallowed up, maybe even in large part by another whale
who's  been considering getting in when the price is  right

What are peoples' opinions about lowly Pandacoin gaining popularity with ordinary people in Romania and Bulgaria? Check out this thread from the alt coin ghetto:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=846866.0.  They seem to like Pandacoin because it is faster than Bitcoin.  I think Panda is one of the best alts and also thought it was doomed to not go anywhere like all the others.  I had no idea it had gotten to the point where you can use Panda in bars. I guess it was an organic process not led by a thought leader or a company.

I haven't heard anything substantial, some new guy says everyone is spending it in Romania?
Id like a bit more proof
Romanian taxi drivers have time to wait for an email from an exchange to confirm they just
been paid in pandacoins??  lol

Isnt the theory that if you divided up all the worlds wealth and shared it out, that it would be back in the same hands within 12 months anyway - as some people are just good with money, investing, saving, and others just blow it.

Imo this might just be a re-distribution a little, but generally the "wealth" - now bitcoin, if it moves from fiat to bitcoin - will just get readjusted and back in the hands of the finance companies - bitcoin is still so smalltime that JPMorgan could buy up all the btc liquidity single handed, for a fraction of their market cap / turnover.. and thats what will probably happen, but just spaced out over the next 5 years as more transaction in btc take place and the price rises up and confidence solidifies.

It probably is true lol

Most people haven't got a clue  how to be smart about money, I have many friends who live paycheck to paycheck
and if something goes wrong they need a loan to pay the rent or whatever

They're are a few financial geniuses who would prosper despite all adversity and end the year with more money than they started with but they are in the minority for sure...
1825  Economy / Speculation / Re: I will not Die Untill Bitcoin will reach at Least 50K on: November 02, 2014, 04:28:20 AM
Someday it might be considered wealthy to own a whole Bitcoin

Many people who didn't get on the train now  will be kicking themselves like the people know who
didn't buy any when they were less than 10usd

How bad are the famous  UK. brands like nescafe and maxwell house

I know they don't tate as good as the expensive stuff but most work places
that provide free tea and coffee for staff use one of   these brands

Something I never considered before its the toxicity of my coffee and the amount of mold etc

I have good Italian coffee at  home but at work we all drink the garbage  they provide for free  lol

I like German and Belgian Hi quality beers too but if I'm out with friends and all we have is a  cheap
mass produced beer I'll drink it but the difference in taste and hangover is  night and day  to a good German  wheat beer
although the cheap stuff will get you. Just as  hammered it doesn't taste delicious and the chemicals make you feel like shit
the next day or two after a serious binje on the cheap stuff

With quality important beers like leffe, erdinger or hoegaarten I don't really get hangovers like the cheap nasty stuff
1828  Other / Off-topic / Re: How you drink your coffee? on: October 29, 2014, 05:05:24 AM
(quality low toxin beans) Black with 2 tablespoons of MCT oil and 1/4 cup butter from grass fed cows. Blend in blender.

One cup give sustained unbelievable energy for 8 hours. No gitters or come down effects. It hits you 45 minutes after you drink it. It is amazing.

The combination of the medium chain triglyceride oil and butter with the high quality beans make it time released over 8 hours.
It is pure rocket fuel with no gitters. It like regular coffee for 45 minutes and then you look at the person you are drinking with and say "did you feel that" as it hits you and keeps going strong for 8 hours.

https://www.bulletproofexec.com/bulletproof-coffee-recipe/

A quarter cup of butter in every cup will probably make most people fat
the energy you feel is probably due to the butter being so calorie dense

Some interesting points in this thread

How about someone who mined 10,000 btc and then stopped in  2009

He wakes up someday and there worth £10,000,000

How much tax should be pay?  Would cashing out in another country life china for example be a better idea and leave the money in a Chinese bank?

Another possibility is someone else has 10,000 now worth £10,000,000
but he paid £5,000,000  to get them, how much tax should he pay?

They are both in the same position but got there by very different paths, the early adopter spent only his time and maybe cpu but the person who traded his way into wealth spent a lot more to get there.....

I'd speak to an accountant or financial adviser.
No way would I be paying 50% tax.

In France I think they take 50% after your earnings are in excess of a certain amount
Ireland do it as well for around 45% for highest earners and I'm sure these are not the only ones

I wouldn't like to pay anything on them to be honest because btc was always a gamble in the early days
before it had the community backing it has now

If it goes to zero and I lose all my money is the government going to credit my losses??  Didn't think so....

2 million in usd is only  1.24million in the UK

of course, if you wake up and find out Bitcoin went to the moon
and your coins are worth £1.24million pounds you probably owe
a boatload  of tax to your government maybe as high as 50%??

Whatever is left over might be enough to buy a home but not a luxury Mansion
for sure and in London your probably  going to have to look at apartments rather
than proper houses....

2million usd ain't what it used to be, the only way to retire for life  on that sum I think would be to
move to a developing country where the cost of living is a fraction of London, Paris or new York

1832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: October 28, 2014, 03:45:47 AM
A single BTC would need to hit 100,000 USD for me to become rich.
(I don't class 'rich' as anything under 2 million USD).

Unfortunately for that reason I think I missed the boat, too late to become rich from BTC.
Making 200 grand would be lovely though.

Lol.. I have to say this guy is right. Anything under $2 million is not rich.

Is two million even rich anymore?  Where I live you could buy a decent house and a car etc  and they're would not be much left over Sad

Oh, do you live in California too?

Nope Smiley

At $350/btc the cost is negligible in the bigger picture.

I am pretty sure that 10 years from now, for those who's reading this now but doesn't max out his coin stacks would be too ashamed to tell anyone.

You are witnessing a singularity event in the history of mankind.

At last, somebody "gets it"

The voice of reason has spoken

If anyone has no faith in btc what the hell are they doing   wasting time hanging around on a btc forum anyways??
1835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: October 27, 2014, 05:04:39 PM
I think I would prefer the btc going forward from now because if the shit ever hits the fan iI can take a plane to anywhere  and spend  my Bitcoins

Try getting on a plane with a suitcase  of cash to the  equivalent of a few million usd lol

Or have a micro sd card in your phone  with a wallet backup  or online somewhere to be downloaded in a few seconds

The future has arrived Cheesy

if anyone don't "get it"  I don't have time to explain all the advantages (there are too  many)
1836  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Blender, anonymous bitcoin mixer on: October 27, 2014, 04:53:44 PM
People should send you more coins to replace their stolen coins lol

You should go and work with mintpal, they could use a man like you  Roll Eyes

At least he's made good. 99% of people who get hacked just go "sorry got hacked" and don't put their hands in their own pockets to repay people

Losing 100% of the coins and then asking for another 100% to get back 10% of the losses means someone has to send 10x times more coins than was stolen to break even and what if he gets hacked again before they break even ?

Their losses  jump from 100 up to 200%

Not saying it was blender himself who stole the Coins since I don't know the details but  double or nothing is not a risk I would take in this situation  never mind taking it ten times to get back my first 100% while additionally risking my second 200%

1837  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cop arrests random girl, takes her cell, steals nudes on: October 27, 2014, 04:45:04 PM
The DNA under the cop's fingernails is useless though since the cop would never be arrested for it

I can only  assume the cop isn't likely  to report himself for sexual misconduct and voluntarily go to hospital so his fingers can be tested  for dna in a timely fashion since dna samples need to be taken quickly if there's any hope of collecting them  which leaves it up to the victim and there may or may not be any dna even if she gets straight to the hospital and admits everything to them

Without a lot of proof its always going to be hard for a drunk girl to be believed over a cop  on duty

Even if there was dna obtained it would be his word against hers that she was assaulted and it was not consensual

The odds are stacked in favor of dirty cops and they should all be made to wear body recording devices at all times when on duty to cut down on this kind of stuff

Also they should never be left alone with  drunk, young or otherwise vulnerable girls or other citizens

1838  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why a bitcoin confirmation is needed?? on: October 27, 2014, 06:41:10 AM
all depends on transaction value really Smiley

for a cup of coffee or a do-nut i  would take the risk .....

for a new smartphone  or a laptop  id tell them to sit down and relax until i see some confirmations Cheesy

1839  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cop arrests random girl, takes her cell, steals nudes on: October 27, 2014, 06:15:38 AM
digitalize it all. And if she wasn't under persecution for her habit, she could have gone to the hospital and ask for dna sample: Mr. Judge how did his sample arrives in my genital area?

I don't think fingering someone would leave  much dna  to find later at hospital
is not the same as if  they had sex

Anyways, it's very traumatic for the victim to have to go  hospital and tell the story
so in most cases these scumbags get away with it and people are afraid of what they
might be capable of so reluctant to make matters worse

MBK shopping centre in central bangkok ,thailand

MBK was the largest shopping mall in Asia when it opened in 1985. It is located on land leased from the adjacent Chulalongkorn University
MBK Center, also known as Mahboonkrong (Thai: มาบุญครอง), is a large shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand.[1][2] At eight stories high, the center contains around 2,000 shops, restaurants and service outlets, including the 4-story Tokyu department store.[2]

The MBK Center management reports daily visitor numbers of more than 100,000, half of whom are young Thai people and a third foreign visitors.[3]

The MBK Center is popular with tourists, although the majority of shoppers are Bangkok residents. Many stores selling authentic merchandise are also available. MBK Center is connected to the Siam Discovery and Siam Paragon shopping mall by elevated walkways, both of which are more upscale and have only authentic goods.
