So no word on the BTCEIC scandal?

I have lost sleep over this,

poor guy is out there and needs an answer!!!

why do you care?

and oh btw why did terrahash publicly disclose they they will not do business with you?

Pretty sure they changed their mind on that one.

Can't tell ya why however.  Grin
1842  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Project Evil Genius – Custom SHA2-256 Circuits on a FPGA on: July 16, 2013, 07:11:31 PM
I will use this thread to update my progress. I will update every once in a while to let people know my progress and how well the circuits are preforming.

I will be creating custom digital circuits of a SHA2-256 Double Hashers for Bitcoin mining. I have already started on the first stage. The project will be written in Verilog. I chose Verilog, because it has better controls at the gate level than VHDL. I will not be using any C code for the hashing circuits. However I might use C code for the registers and connections to the computer, IE USB plug, and set-up data.

Looking at the Open Source FPGA code, I believe I can make a really good improvement over the Open Source code, which is converted C. I have vast experience in digital design and I have worked on many ASIC projects. However, I have not worked on a FPGA before, but I have worked alongside FPGA programmers to know the major problems that affect FPGAs.

To get more info on my background, go here:
http://www.cryptoextractor.com/crypto/author.html

Depending on the results, three things will happen. If I get really great results, then I would probably make some boards and sell them. If I get good results, I will probably buy old FPGA boards and reprogram them, and mine with them. I might sell some of the re-programmed boards. The last would be if I got OK results. Then I would just release the code as Open Source.

What would you define as "really great results"?

And sadly someone will buy this.

I will give you $5000 per unit.

It's like a 2 1/2 year ROI? What are you smoking?

1846  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 3x Little Single (1x in hand, 2x #2568) on: July 16, 2013, 03:00:51 PM
$2400 per
1847  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: July 16, 2013, 01:47:44 PM

The I2C connector is 4 pins. There are 4 connectors on each board. 2 on both sides of the USB connector and 2 on the edges right next to the edge with the USB connector. The 3 Pin connector is for the fan. TerraHash boards will each come with a I2C jumper cable to daisy chain the board with another one.

That is awesome.  So we are going to have a fan, heatsink, and I2C connectors packaged alongside our K16s?  How about standoffs for stacking K16s? Cheesy

yes and send someone to my house to set them up too!!

I'd love some, but 130% markup is steep

PM me if you discount further.

1849  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL 10ghs upgrade on: July 15, 2013, 06:54:51 PM
hi. i got 50ghs single ordered. i did 10ghs upgeade for $500 assuming i will get two jalopenos extra. now i read that singles produce 60ghs as standart. does that mean ill receive one single and i just gave them $500 for free? doesnt sound fare at all.

Not that I enjoy defending BFL but here is the question:

All Singles do NOT produce 60Gh, where did you get that data?

What did you buy?

Sounds like your bought a 50Gh unit.

Why were you expecting a pair of Jalapenos?

The price per GH from BFL has been $50 per since the price increase in April, so if you bought a 50gh unit and paid $2499 then you are getting what you paid for. If you wanted to have your 50gh upgraded to a 60gh then you have to pay $500 ($50 per)

1850  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Krater Miner OFFICIAL THREAD (WORKING Avalon Clone w/ videos!) on: July 15, 2013, 04:28:17 PM

People are under the impression that no one knows how to do math.

Here is how to be successful and to deliver a successful product announcement:

1. Have a product
2. If you don't have a product have a date when you will have a product
3. price your product comparable to other similar products, even better, price your product to be competitive
4. be customer service oriented and responsive.

if you fail any of these 4 you are destined to have problems.

If you fail at #3, then the other 3 really don't matter.

The one good thing bitcointalk has going for it is that people will give you feedback,
so before you go sinking tens of thousands of dollars into a venture,
find some folks to give you feedback, because right now you need:

1. Someone to vouch for your product
2. A product that is affordable.

You have neither.

Whew.... K16 so so so so close...

Avalon chips ... so so so so close...

Wow. So much respect BKKCoins. Can't wait to sell out our K1s and pass on your developer fees as soon as possible.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ What he said!!
1852  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: July 15, 2013, 01:30:05 PM
You can not change the adress with someone else

We both have chosen hosting...

If you trust him good luck with that. I wouldn't do it unless TH switched over ownership. So TH will contact you instead, when they need your BTC address.  That way no one will have any control over your boards. Not even considering you sending him 8 BTC and hoping he's honest.
That's the plan, only if TH mediates we will proceed!

fyi my paypal claim turns over to paypal tomorrow the 16th if terrahash does not respond to the claim.
if terrahash does not respond to either you or paypal then the deal is off, as presumably i will be getting a refund via paypal.

Can't wait until you get your money back so we don't have to hear your whiny ass any more.

I will be the first to send you a picture of my hardware mining!!
1853  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: K1 Nanos - Big Picture Mining Cooperative on: July 11, 2013, 12:23:18 PM
Please note prices will be posted up on the website later tomorrow with a payment gateway.

Code:
Tentative Pricing Matrix K1 NANOs - (Check Site Tomorrow For Final Prices)

1 - 9 Units 0.99 BTC
10 - 49 Units 0.89 BTC
50+ Units 0.79 BTC

Based on Mt Gox prices at $86 / BTC.

500+ Larger Group Orders ask for pricing and shipping dates.

We are pricing so that more people will trend towards group buys or bulk just so it makes our shipping easier. Comments are welcome.

Note that we will be using USD to set the BTC price for each unit.

$85/K1s for 1 - 9 units
$75/K1s for 10 - 49 units
$65/K1s for 50+ units

Any orders larger than 500+ will need to contact us as we have variable shipping of Avalon chips so we can not guarantee availability for larger orders. We welcome group buys but remember we have production running from July to September for these K1s so may have situations where we are restocking if sales are brisk.

What is the pricing if I provide the ASIC?
1854  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Krater Miner OFFICIAL THREAD (WORKING Avalon Clone w/ videos!) on: July 10, 2013, 11:47:47 PM
Thanks again for your input, all of it is very important to us.

We have to be honest when it came down to the initial price we've posted. We've been so focused on the production of the units, getting a working prototype, developing the website and everything else that goes into a project like this, that it came to the last minute of launching the website and we were still very undecided about the final listed price of our units. We have been re-evaluating the cost all along regardless of what has been said on here. Obviously, we want to make a profit... we did indeed put lots of time, effort, and money in to this project. We know we priced it too aggressively and we are adjusting it accordingly.

The unit will now cost 125 BTC, and the price change is effective immediately.

Also, the prices on the build your own unit is changing to:

1 module: 35 btc

2 module: 45 btc

3 module: 55 btc

4 module: 65 btc

Pfffffffffffft $117 a Gh?

Can buy 600gh from KNC for that price.

How about 75 BTC?
1855  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Which USB hub to use with Block Eruptors? on: July 10, 2013, 08:53:07 PM
Yeah there is a very special USB hub made just for folks who paid BTC1 to BTC2 for an erupter.

They are guaranteed to work perfectly with the Erupters.

They are just BTC10 each.

Let me know how many you want!
1856  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Krater Miner OFFICIAL THREAD (WORKING Avalon Clone w/ videos!) on: July 10, 2013, 08:50:54 PM

We plan on being ready to start shipping out finished units as early as 1 week after the time the Avalon chips arrive.

Thanks for your interest!

So 11+ weeks from now, so mid october when my $4000 200Gh rig arrives from KNC your $15,000 90Gh rig will be ready?

1857  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Krater Miner OFFICIAL THREAD (WORKING Avalon Clone w/ videos!) on: July 10, 2013, 08:42:02 PM
Thanks again for the opportunity for discourse in this forum. Some of the things we feel separate us from the others are:

1.   Our units are American made and we offer free overnight shipping to the continental United States.
2.   We offer full customer support.
3.   We have a proven working concept.
4.   We are doing everything the right way. We aren’t skimping on anything (power supplies, fans, etc).
5.   We are ready to take orders right now. Others are either sold out or aren’t to the point where they can take orders.

We know there are others claiming they’ll be ready to ship working units as soon as the Avalon chips arrive at a lower price than us. Maybe they will, maybe they won’t. I haven’t seen any of their working prototypes. We have a proven concept that is working right now and we are ready for the Avalon chips to arrive.

We are taking all the feedback on this forum seriously and appreciate these honest comments from the bitcoin community.

There is no way the math is going to work on 200BTC

Its $16000 for 90GH (@ $80 a BTC)

I can get 900GH (that's nine hundred) Gigahash from KNC Miner for that price.

If you could deliver today it still would not make up the difference.

You only have 25BTC in the chips. Maybe 30BTC in total costs. You are adding 600% margin.
1858  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Krater Miner OFFICIAL THREAD (WORKING Avalon Clone w/ videos!) on: July 10, 2013, 08:35:53 PM
Seriously $177 a GH?

That's 10 times more than KNC
Thats  3 1/2 times more than BFL & Terrahash

If you can deliver this week, you can charge 40 BTC, If you can't deliver for 10 weeks, then 25BTC
