1702  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 02:15:06 PM
So I wrote this alibaba reseller, this is what they responded:

Quote
Dear Daniel,

Thank you for your inquiry!

We have sell Avalon chips, the best price is 19.7$/pcs. Now we can confirm arrive chips time, about 18th Aug. date, It's hot sell in the MKT, Do you need place the order now? When I get your news, I will order for you soon.

I'm looking forward to building a long term friendly business realtionship with you!

Awaiting for your early reply!

Best regards,
Michella

I'll just leave this here..

Ask Michella how long she's been selling them for as you understand they are not available yet? Can she be trusted? Get her to verify this in order to gain trust. Ask for a picture of a chip with today's newspaper.

You'll probably get a very clear and specific answer as to how long she has been in possession of said items...

I already replied, asking for 100k+ chips and see if thats possible. The answer should be interesting, I guess. I'll ask about proof as well as the date since they have them ready.

What a bunch of conspiracy theorists you all are.

Here is my challenge for you, contact your Alibaba contacts and ask them to send you just a single chip as a sample. Just one.
Offer to pay full price, or even 10 times the price. See if they can get you one.

They are also selling BFL miners for $10,000 on Alibaba,

They are also selling Block Erupters for $169 on Alibaba.

Alibaba is full of either:
A. Liars
B. thieves
C. Resellers

Order 1000 Avalon chips for $23 per and watch them come to this website and buy 1000 Avalon chips for $10 and sell them to you.

That is all they are doing. They have access to inventory just like you do. If you ordered 20,000 chips from them, they would all of a sudden tell you it would take 12 weeks.....why? Guess!

Now fold up the tinfoil hats.

Yifu said big news coming and then you chuckleheads went on for 30 pages of tripe, you should have known better.
So where is he with the news?  yeah that's what I thought. Must be taking Customer Service lessons from Josh.

P.S. I have unlimited supply of Avalon chips for anyone who wants them for $23 each  Grin

You guys try so hard and fail at every attempt.  Does it suck to be such failure, or is it just "normal" for you and you don't know any other method of operation?  Do you lurch from one failure to another, wondering why the world is out to get you?  I've always wondered what it's like to be bad at everything you do, unable to succeed at anything.  It's actually pretty funny, keep it up!

Teaser for an autobiography??

Can we just wait to hear what he has to say and keep the comments to zero.

On behalf of those watching/notifying this thread lets keep the noise ratio down please

the "i'm not dead thread."

Just got off the plane, expect lots of news tomorrow.

The news is...

He just got back from China and we will soon see 50 Alibaba Companies offering knockoffs for $5.55

at first I was like lol, but then this: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/994289436/Avalon_chip_A3256_Q48_avalon_asic.html

this is srsly disturbing me now. Why? Scam? 28-30$ a piece is a pretty shitty price, but in my world it makes perfect sense for a big-fish buying chips before everyone else und reselling them..

It's not a scam, you order 10,000 from them at $28, they order from Avalon and deliver to you in 10  12 20 weeks
1706  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Krater Miner on: August 08, 2013, 12:47:18 PM
This is not a scam, it's just INCREDIBLY overpriced.

It needs to be BTC45 for anyone to take it seriously and they aren't reducing their price by half.
1707  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 07, 2013, 12:28:41 PM
Yep, just waiting any info on chips here. Smiley
TH has done it's job so far.., slowly and with a lack of communication to us, but nonetheless at this point they are at Avalon's mercy just as we are.

Except the little tiny thing of breaking Federal Trade Commissions regulations, IF they are refusing refunds before a product has shipped.

Here come the lawyers.

Listen, start your refund process with Paypal or your Credit card and please stop whining here.

Stop being an advocate for everyone else and quietly take care of your own business.

The sooner you get a refund the faster I can buy up your stuff.

1708  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 07, 2013, 11:29:18 AM
lets just redirect our brain powers in pushing terrahash for answers...

Where are these overdue promised items:
1. Pictures of the DX Mini
2. Picture of a completed Klondike 16 w/ heat sink
3. Hashing rate reaching promised rate (not prototype.. i'd expect terrahash to have this down by now hopefully)
4. Invoice/POs of all components
5. Project timing for each step (project management style)

We will all rest better and be more willing to wait when we see those listed.

Otherwise, we feel like we need a refund. Simply because you've over promised and under delivered so far.
Time to rectify the Public Relations trajectory if you want repeat customers.

Terrahash, You dont have a product problem (crossing my fingers), you have a relationship problem with your customers.

No, I don't need any of that data.

I need to know when the chips arrive. Thats it.
1709  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Chips, 0.079 per Chip (Dabs) Philippines/Asia on: August 07, 2013, 03:03:06 AM
Those chips wont arrive for 12 more weeks. Sadly
1710  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Product Teasers] Prototype hubs & more from Big Picture Mining Cooperative on: August 07, 2013, 01:28:01 AM
yo chief show some actual MINERS.. I can draw something up on CAD...
That second photo is of a actual pcb that we are working on.
The first photo is of a USB hub and not a miner.

pricing?
Pricing will depend on how many we get built but it will be substantially less then the current options.

Awesome news!
1711  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 06, 2013, 05:50:07 PM
TH does not seem to be answering requests for refunds.

TH secretly snuck in a "no-refunds" policy at the last moment before opening up pre-orders.

You have a valid point, but knowing everything you know and how the BTC business works,
and the fact that none of these companies are venture funded or have a million dollars to fall back on,
do you think its unreasonable to say that they are not going to do refunds?

if you put it in the context of your neighborhood plumber and you tell them I want you to re-model my kitchen,
and you pay them upfront and they go out and get you custom marble, cabinets, stove, refrigerator and they layout the money and then you come along a week or month before they are to deliver and say "I want a refund"

What do you expect to get back from them after they have spent 80% of your money?

And the excuse of "Well they can just sell my order to someone else" is not valid, because it's your order, you go sell it. They have already invested your money in office space, boards, components, heatsinks etc.

Go away with your logic! That is frowned upon here!

Sorry!  Sad

Let's try this......

What makes you think she is a witch???

TH does not seem to be answering requests for refunds.

They cant seem to post much of anything either. Sad
Like: " Hey, we are trying to contact Avalon to figure out what/when..." etc.., would go a long way here.

They have posted here twice already today,

What would you like their post to say that would make you feel ok?
1716  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 06, 2013, 02:23:50 PM
It's six of one and half dozen of the other.

You can get a refund and get on the end of the Bitfury line or wait about the same time and get your TH order.

It's all according to where you are in the TH queue.

P.S. If you think TH is going to refund everyone you are fooling yourself.
1717  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Product Teasers] Prototype hubs & more from Big Picture Mining Cooperative on: August 06, 2013, 01:44:24 PM
How many ports will it have and what is your estimate on cost?
It will have 49 USB 2.0 ports that provide 800mA each.

Now we just need a knock out price!!

It's BitSynCom LLC and Yifu are part of an LLC in New York so yes you would sue him and his company.

WTF is wrong with every one they think that these people are untouchable because it's Bitcoin related??!?!

Wait until one of them gets a 5 million dollar  judgement that follows them around for the next 30 years and see how they feel.

slow down buddy, thats not what i was asking. what i was asking was clarification on whom you thought they should be sueing, yifu and avalon or the people badmouthing them. i think, that just like you, avalon is f***ing with everyone.

Ok sorry, sue them all let God sort them out.  Grin
