1861  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cop arrests random girl, takes her cell, steals nudes on: October 26, 2014, 03:28:07 PM
Some of them do much worse than that, I remember sometime back one of my friend was busted for having sex in car, the cop handcuffed my friend and took him to his car and told the girl to be remained seated nude in the car. After putting my friend in the car, he returned, molested (fingered) the girl for a while than told her to get dressed and then left them with a warning. They didn't filed a complaint because they knew that they didn't had any proof and the cop got away with it  Angry.

Oh my god, that's terrible. This is why we should always film police encounters.

Yeah. It's very bad to hear such stories. Hopefully police dashcams can help both prevent & prosecute this things to happen as well as protect officers from false accusation.

Police dashcams are worthless as officers can turn them off at their will

Then they should have head-mounted cameras. If they have them in the cars I can't see why they shouldn't have them on their person. It will provide great evidence for both sides of the law if it's ever needed.

the  police already have body mounted cameras in most forces  and i dont think they  want to wear them

it takes away their use of the badge to beat the shit out of people

1864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins are killing Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency as a whole on: October 26, 2014, 07:43:56 AM
most people who trade BTC for the latest ,greatest  pump and dump coin  end up at a total loss

They trade their  BTC's for half a million of some new coin being pumped to death and end up with nothing

it happens every in every other market too  but the smart people will still  be the winners in the end

1865  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoins to succesfully manipulate price down by $100 ? on: October 26, 2014, 05:46:29 AM
The 30k whale, if selling them at "market order", would drive the price to 1 digit...

If he does that he won't be a whale for much longer lol

I'll take 30,000 btc  at  1usd each and he won't even have to give the exchange Any fees or commission
(i would pay in cash or whatever Smiley

Of course, the Coins would be bought up long before they got  to single figures never mind 1usd  each imo
1866  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoins to succesfully manipulate price down by $100 ? on: October 25, 2014, 04:48:54 PM
even on lower than normal volume days theres probably still a lot of people monitoring the market with cash in hand etc

a whale would have to be careful if he attempted to crash the price lower that all his coins were not snapped up before he got the chance
to execute his game plan

Market manipulation is likely to come from the exchanges themselves because they have the funds to be able to do it sucessfully and they can see what everyone else cant

they can also delay orders being filled  or throw a spanner in the works and blame a technical problem whenever it suits them and snap up some cheap coins or prevent anyone else from getting them by delaying funds being credited to accounts etc
1867  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Blender, anonymous bitcoin mixer on: October 25, 2014, 04:42:13 PM
Surely you can see the irony yourself ...........People trusted you with their coins once and got scammed, round 2 - You suggest they send even more coins to recover a very small % of the stolen ones

its not any different from sending more coins to MT GOX if karpeles promised to start using the profits to repay everyones loses

Good luck if it works though Wink
1868  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Blender, anonymous bitcoin mixer on: October 25, 2014, 02:17:53 PM
People should send you more coins to replace their stolen coins lol

You should go and work with mintpal, they could use a man like you  Roll Eyes

If the family comes under fire the he only has himself to blame for it

Same goes for the gf  and her family,  if they want to make restitutions they can

If not......  whatever happens happens

1873  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: October 24, 2014, 05:47:28 AM
How is selling the house to buy bitcoin working out so far?

Working out great!   Cry

LOL damn go to a homeless shelter.

Is anyone here has a proof that this guy is real? I am a bit interested with whats he doing right now.

He's been in the Canadian news, don't see any reason to lie about it

Alex and Co are  active in this  thread, anyone who reads it will know who hes posting as

I wouldn't be surprised if the "detective"  who wants 15 btc to  investigate is Alex under another account
as well

...
Why would he cash out though if the price is not satisfactory?
...

Because the price is getting less satisfactory by the day?

I see that as a positive because the rate of adoption is currently  too low and new  people are unlikely to buy in at 1200+usd
per coin

This will help raise  the overall price eventually, the guy with the house is obviously a believer in btc like myself so he would rather take the btc than the 400k Canadian dollar

If I had the same choice, i would also prefer the Coins.....

Its only crazy if it's all you've got, it might be a small fraction of his net worth for all we know
1876  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: October 23, 2014, 03:11:21 PM
I guess you don't have a wife or a child. Right?

Wrong, I have both and I also am  heavily involved in btc and I believe it has a bright future but it needs time to realise it's potential and people who are only in to see quick returns will probably get skinned alive by bigger fish that can afford to ride the waves
1877  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: October 23, 2014, 03:01:13 PM
If It was spare money i don't see the problem

Im sure  he's not posting from a cardboard box so it was likely a spare house
that he didn't live in anyway

It will take the next ath  which maybe anytime in the next 0.5-2 years and he might  be
able to buy the whole  street  ....  Grin

Its high risk, what if bitcoin drop half instead?

Then he loses half the value of the investment,  did you really need to ask?

Why would he cash out though if the price is not satisfactory?

From what he has written he didn't live at that house anyway so it's a gamble of course but if he can afford   it I am of the opinion it will  pay off over a long enough time frame and it will turn out to be better than taking 400k in dollars but only time will tell
1878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Mintpal / Moolah Scam - 5,200 BTC Now Missing!!! - Report Missing Funds on: October 23, 2014, 12:09:11 PM
There's too much money involved to let it go

The family are going to be affected one way or the other and maybe punished as well

Looks like he's hiding like a little rat but if he wants to Minimize the damage he could return
The stolen money, he will regret  it if  the house  gets Burned out  some night while he's enjoying
the stolen  mone...

1880  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which exchange do you trust the most? on: October 22, 2014, 09:49:06 PM
Your Coins  are not safe anytime they are outside your ownership

Surprised people haven't learned this yet after 5 years of scams

your coins are NEVER safe, even in your care.

Just you deposit your coins at an exchange doesn't make your coins now owned by the exchanges.

Just like taking your kids to school doesn't make your kid's teachers their new parents.

If everyone kept their money off the exchanges you would only have auction sites, when's the last time you saw one of those for crypto.  When you go to an exchange you expect to see items available to buy if nothing is there what good is it?   Do you randomly return multiple times a day hoping to find someone who wants to sell what you want?

Nevertheless, without the exchange your coins are almost worthless, when's the last time you took a look at the chart of a coin just before it was delisted and after it was actually delisted?    It goes from bad to worse and in every case there was a warning.   When it gets to the point of that very last exchange to delist it gets even more ugly, it's like a ghost town at the community ANN thread.

So you could have all of the coins in the world if no one else wants them they only have worth to you.

Now, for the practical side, let me know when you transfer all of your funds to multi-sig paper wallets that you provide to various people in various locations both physical and electronic, then I will know you know how to keep your money safe?

How my Coins are secured is   my own business but I will let you  know that they are securely  stored in a way that I am comfortable with

i  didn't say btc should be delisted, rather that people should not rely on exchanges as  they  all go bust sooner or later, if I absolutely had to sell  £1000 worth of coins on an exchange I would do it £50- £100 per time etc and never give them control of more Coins than I could lose without worrying

Ymmv but I don't think there are any exchange that money is particularly "safe"  at
