1861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nayib Bukele prediction: 2 more countries will adopt Bitcoin as legal tender on: January 05, 2022, 08:40:48 PM
I'm not sure which way to lean on this news.  Either he has been in communication with other countries about this (logical they would ask him for his experience) or he is trying to wish it into existence while trying to pump his bags.  I wouldn't put either past him and both seem likely.  I don't think it would be far fetched for anyone to make this claim, but considering he would be the guy countries would ask, you have to put a little respect on his name and assume that he's in the know and sharing some knowledge with us.  I just hope no disasters happen with the lightning network that cause this sort of adoption to be a massive failure that hurts Bitcoin.
I think with Bukele having his high position, maybe he had made his predictions not just out from thin air but with more solid basis. It's possible that he had made good communication with other countries' leaders so he has the idea about this. But if this is made out from his positivity, i guess there's no wrong with it because its definitely bound to happen but with no definite time. Bitcoin is growing not just in its value but also in its scope, and this massive adoption is its ultimate goal so definitely, bitcoin is definitely working in it.
1862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 05, 2022, 12:48:11 PM
Boxing analyst is more on potentials based from the characteristic of such fighter, they will give opinions based from past performance and base from the quality of skills the fighter have, with those analysis Spence gather people trust though it was Ugas who won much frequently and spence needs to rest because of his medical concern.

We can only conclude right after the fight, for now, more tough trainings in preparations on this fight.

Both Ugas and Spence need to undergo with trainings and sparrings...  Roll Eyes Cool

I agree, boxing analyst do based their predictions/speculations on upcoming fights with the history of the boxers involve and analyst do watched tons of boxing matches  Grin.

With regards to Errol Spence and Yordenis Ugas, the former have the upper hand in terms of the quality of opponents faced in the square ring while Ugas have won the sweepstake of being the replacement fighter to Manny then beat the latter but that alone will not be enough to make him the favorite for this fight.

Errol Spence is undefeated while Ugas has four loses so it's understandable that people will put heavily their money on Spence.

That's expected but sometimes the favorites are overvalued because of his previous fights and people forgot who Ugas beat to become more popular. I mean, he surely has a great shot here as Spence although undefeated is not that dominant as a fighter, his last fight against Porter proved that.
1863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 05, 2022, 12:16:43 PM
Let's have some good news first for us PBA fans, specifically the Gin Kings fans here.

Per news below, it seems that the rumors of CStand going to Japan is now scrapped after the latter have signed a three year contract with Ginebra so this means that the SMC management has still trusted the Fil-German banger despite the not so good showing of Ginebra last conference.

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/ginebra-locks-standhardinger-to-new-three-year-contract-a793-20220105?ref=home_featured_big

Now I hope the rumors of him going to B-League will be over after a 3 year contract with the Ginebra.
For the Ginebra fans, this is a good thing since they have a reliable center already for 3 years. With regards to SMC trusting him, lets not forget that he was at SMB at first then he went to NorthPort to get Tautuaa and CStand performed since he is at SMB so the management had trust in him. Good thing that he stayed for the SMC management Smiley.

The first days of January this year is not good for us.
Just today, there is 10,775 added cases of COVID19 and it almost doubled since we got at around 5,000 cases just yesterday.

With the positivity rate or around 20% which is 4x higher than the threshold set by the WHO, I'm expecting that this might go even higher possible this week and there is a chance that we see new ATH in terms of cases and if this happens I think that PBA will go semi-bubble or bubble depending on the situation and what will the IATF says. I'm still hoping that PBA will still continue even though it will be a semi-bubble or bubble.

I was expecting that C Stand will grab the offer for a better paycheck, but I'm still happy that he decided to stay and play with the Ginebra Kings although his presence is not yet so effective as expected.

About the increasing number of cases in the Philippines, I guess that would result in the PBA resting for a while what they are still figuring out the best setup for the resumption of the PBA conference, I hope it won't last long.
1864  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Greed Comes First in Trading, the Result is Bankruptcy on: January 05, 2022, 08:45:12 AM
Bankrupt as in all your life savings included? If you use all your money for the things that you know there's a high risk involve, that is not greediness but rather foolishness since you didn't do risk management. There's a time that you need a greed to have a huge profit but you should allocate only a certain amount of money by doing that. Foolishness is when you all-in without thinking the possible repercussions of your action.

Greed is part of a human's behavior, you cannot just took it away easily but definitely you can control it. And once you are greedy because you want instant and huge profits, without investing on the amount you can bear to lose, then you know exactly where you are heading to but certainly losses. Of course since you are in high risk investment, then you should set a limit. Trading is good and could give good opportunities to make profits, but if you trade with greed, then it will only make you a loser in the end. So never trade with greed, that's the basic in trading.
1865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A supermarket in Mexico now allows Bitcoin payments for all their items on: January 04, 2022, 11:25:01 PM
This is interesting see super market allow payment in bitcoin which will also influence other people to do likewise. The rate at which people are adopting Bitcoin these days is surprising  and I know in the main time, many will start adapting to bitcoin method of payment.
Even if that is good news for adopting bitcoin, it needs time to make people use bitcoin to buy in the supermarket. I think they still prefer to use fiat money as usual, especially for people who do not know Bitcoin. But yes, it can increase people's curiosity about bitcoin, especially if there are advertisements about how to use bitcoin in a local store. The adopting of bitcoin will continue and grow as soon as possible, especially if that supermarket can give a discount for people who use bitcoin.
I have doubt that the owner of that supermarket is also a crypto enthusiast or Bitcoin holder who is inspired by holding Bitcoin.  Because if not, that is quite hard because people should understand how the price will fluctuate and how it will have an effect if they are holding Bitcoin and suddenly dump.

Adopting Bitcoin now was continuously spreading and there are more institutions, companies, and individual investors.  I didn't surprise if one day, there will be someone who follow that sage.  Bitcoin is very useful, not only storing value and Mexico was proved that using it's also good upon making transactions.
Most likely, the supermarket owner is crypto enthusiast and knows the real value of bitcoin will become bigger as years go by. So the promotion will definitely help for its fast adoption as people will be more curious about bitcoin and how to own and use it for good. Although fiat will not be totally replace by it, but it will develop more awareness on the people and once they will start using it, they'll probably use it again because of its convenience and very fast transaction.
1866  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elsavador President Predicting $100,000 Bitcoin price looks like another joke on: January 04, 2022, 07:52:57 PM
I don't understand why anyone would think that's a joke, that's not a joke at all when you see the bitcoin price chart in long term and see how bitcoin price is rising during all these years, I remember when bitcoin was trading below 1K some people were saying bitcoin going to fall and stay less than 100 dollars while some other people were expecting 10K price, know the price is 48K and it could even reach 60K price level while people are still joking but this is not a joke at all, I'm sure El Salvador president is right about the price it will reach even higher prices.
It shouldn't be a joke at all, after all it is not as if bitcoin was at a distance in which it was impossible to reach that price, however we do not know if that price will be reached during this year either, I think there is a possibility this is the case but it is no a sure thing, however if we were to avoid to give such a short time frame for bitcoin to reach that price then I think it is a given that bitcoin will eventually reach it, as it is impossible to stop bitcoin now and the state of the  economy will allow bitcoin to grow even more during the next years.
Right indeed. We know bitcoin has huge potentials to increase its value even more and i think everyone had witnessed how bitcoin had made such progress from $3k until it reaches the present price. So for me, its not really surprising if we will end this year at a $100k price level, or bitcoin could even hit a higher price than that. I think Bukele predicted this price not just out of thin air, but definitely more from its well researched made.
1867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 04, 2022, 03:25:06 PM
How about Memphis vs Cavs tomorrow? I mean Memphis is riding a 5 game winning streak, while the Cavs used to be hot, but when they've lost Rubio, the team suddenly became shitty.

ML for them is 2.x and the handicap is 1.94 currently. So I think betting for them is a good risk with those good odds.
Why not? as you have said, Memphis is really playing very good basketball with Ja Morant giving us good numbers and he could be a MVP candidate with those great numbers.

And Cavaliers is on a one game lose and it could extend because they are going to miss the services of Rubio for the entire season because of that unfortunate injury.

Remember that it's a back to back game while the Cavaliers have fresh legs.

Well, Rubio is good but the Cavaliers beat the Pacers in their last game without him, so they can surely compete with the hot Memphis. In the end, you just have to follow your own analysis as no one could guarantee us a win,  just don't fade yourself and enjoy.
1868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 04, 2022, 11:51:41 AM
It's hard to imagine that Ugas will win here, if Spence is fully healthy, I think we are going to see a KO win from him as Ugas would only be a standing target since he cannot take advantage using his lenght like what he did on Pacquioa.

Somehow agree but on the other hand, Ugas is the most hungry to win here based on my own view. He's the one who aggressively requested on that fight. Just thinking about what things he will achieve if able to win, it's already an inspiration. That being said, it might fuel more his desire to win.

Spence is no doubt will be the favorite to win the match but we can't rule out that an upset is always possible to happen.

There's still no early forecast from some boxing analysts of what will be the odds on this match.
The desire to win cannot be underestimated, there are many great fighters that after tasting success got soft and simply could not maintain their previous level of skill and lost their titles relatively quickly, I do not really know if Ugas has what it is necessary to beat Spence outright but there is one thing I know and that is the guy really wants to win this fight, and if Spence fails to take the fight as seriously as Ugas does he could find himself in trouble.
Of course, anyone could win, I'm not saying that Ugas has no chance but the way Spence fights, I think Ugas's chance is likely very low and therefore he will lose in this fight. As fans, we can't avoid to be biased, that's why I'm just speaking my mind here as I always think Spence is the better fighter between the two.
1869  Economy / Economics / Re: New Year - The crypto economics on: January 04, 2022, 08:14:37 AM
2021 was filled with a lot of opportunities, there were lots of cryptocurrencies that were really bullish in the year 2021. We saw Bitcoin increase to a really high price, and apart from Bitcoin we also saw Doge coin, and ShibaInu, both meme coins were able to increase to a really high price as well. And investors who were able to get on these investments as early as possible were able to make really good amount of profit.

There were also many other outcomes that increased in value. And that’s for this new year 2022, analysts has been predicting that there would be a bull run for the Altcoins market in this year. But we don’t know how accurate that prediction is going to be. They already predicted a bull Bitcoin that would have happened before the year 2021 was over, but that never happened. Maybe we might see that happen in this year, and Bitcoin might reach another all time high price, or maybe not. We just don’t know it yet.
That's the thing about crypto, it keeps on improving. Look at the fiat world, we had gold, we had stocks, we had some other financial stuff and that's about it, we barely get anything common retail investor uses constantly, if we were to look what people invest mostly, we will see that it has been the same thing for decades. What about us in crypto?

We invested in regular decentralized crypto, we got into ICO, we got into STO for a short span, then IEO for a while, then NFT, DEFI, PLAY TO EARN and many other things nowadays. God knows how many things I forgot there, so we keep on improving and I honestly have to say that it is better as well. I get that bitcoin is great and all, but the way ETH improved is magnificent, and all the new things we are getting are better in tech than anything we got in previous years. Obviously some of them are scams, but it is still valid for the proper ones.
New year may bring a lot of crypto challenges and surprises throughout the year. And bitcoin i think will always be the one to dominate the whole crypto market because it will grow more eventually, reaching new all time highs this year. But some things will always be the same like we had in 2021 so we must be used to it.

However, i want to start this year with more positive insights all about crypto and my own personal economy, leaving behind all the negativities we had in 2021. And i will claim it that this year will be more fruitful and generous to us so that we will see continuous progress when it comes to our own economy. But all these things will be possible if we continue to grow more too by keeping ourselves knowledgeable and widely open to grasp every good opportunity that comes.
1870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fall of fiat|Rise of Bitcoin on: January 03, 2022, 11:59:04 PM
I'm responding to these through the punchlines of it's topics sentence, really fiat currency downgraded since the existence of bitcoin and equally the massive adoption of bitcoin is really influencing fiat, but looking at it from another dimension, it's not every country fiat currency getting valueless, because everyone is not from the same country, because someone who from far away country can equally come and state another different for fiat domination over bitcoin.

I hope we all aware that bitcoin is not in competition with fiat currency, so from my perspective slowdown of fiat currency doesn't have anything contrarily to do with bitcoin, Bitcoin is independent and it can't be use to run a comparison with fiat.

From the start, we all know that bitcoin is not here to replace the fiat, but rather to serve an option for it. But if most of the people will be convince to use bitcoin, i think fiat will not fall easily because its always backed by the government. It will always be here as long as there is government. Bitcoin will eventually rise in price because of its fast massive adoption.
1871  Economy / Speculation / Re: The good moves of Bitcoin. on: January 03, 2022, 08:53:31 PM
Do we really know the good moves of Bitcoin and the nature of the market.
although no body is hundred percent sure on the moves of Bitcoin, If you think you know it all about Bitcoin it will definitely disappointed you. we can only be close on or prediction but not hundred percent correct.
we do try by studying the market and know the demand, This will help us know how the movement of the market and the flows of the market through the chat.
everyone should contribute on this topic and tell us there different opinions and ideas.
is good if we can know the good moves of
Almost certainly no expert can predict Bitcoin perfectly, but at least they are able to make analysts and try to see the condition of bitcoin in the future, but the crypto space makes it easier for people to make studies, not only they are experts, but ordinary people can also make their own, there are many references that we can combine, to find out the development and trend of bitcoin in the future, but many people are lazy to do all that, so to make decisions based on small considerations.
I honestly believe that even how long you're here in crypto space and think that you know it all, but when it comes to bitcoin, no single person will be able to predict its future value correctly, and how it will end up as a currency and a good store of value. We all depend from its market supply and demand that help us come up with solid basis.

However, with bitcoin being the most dominant coin, good thing about it is it will never settle for a low value because it always aims to be the highest value in the market. So even series of dumps will come and affect the market, as long as you're into bitcoin, then you will still be in profits as long as you never sell it at a lower price.
1872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: December 31, 2021, 08:55:19 PM

Some boxing enthusiasts said that Ugas instead should pick Keith Thurman first before jumping to Spence Jr. The reason is, Ugas has a chance to make another big paycheck before fighting Spence as the majority thinks that he can deal with Thurman as he was able to defeat Manny Pacquiao.

Of course, that's just speculation, and what if Thurman won? No big fight opportunity will happen to Ugas now. It's a good decision for me that he go directly with the big one as Ugas is also hitting his veteran period now.
This is something I mentioned as well, it is easy to think that Ugas could fight someone else before the unification fight and squeeze more money that way, but we know that in a sport like boxing anything can happen, and if he happens to lose then any chance for a big payday will be over, and we have seen many examples of this in the past, for example in the heavyweight division Joshua avoided Fury and when he was according to the rumors finally ready to fight him he lost against Ruiz and then against Usyk, and now it is very unlikely he will ever fight Fury, so it is likely Ugas did not wanted something like this happening to him and went for the unification fight right away.

The money is good and Ugas believes he can beat Spence so this fight happens. No more bad speculation about Ugas, he proved himself already by beating Pacman, so he is really to take a bigger fight to win a unification battle. If he loses here, I'm sure he can still get big fights as it's not the first time he loses in a fight, but if he wins here, that's gonna make him a superstar, and the next stop would be Crawford.

It's hard to imagine that Ugas will win here, if Spence is fully healthy, I think we are going to see a KO win from him as Ugas would only be a standing target since he cannot take advantage using his lenght like what he did on Pacquioa.
1873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 31, 2021, 08:29:41 PM
The article was posted on Facebook and many netizens disagree with the author as he was called a biased author before.

I don't get those people. It's easy to give an update about an injury. Why take it secretly? All PBA players are public figures therefore they will have the same status as a true personality.

Giving injury status should not be harmful to any parties so I don't get why the information was kept secret at some point.

If only PBA is transparent, but they are not, and also, we don't have a reliable news outlet to check on the current status of a certain player that's why it's hard to monitor and determine the real status of a player when he is not available to play. As long as theres' no official announcement, everything we read online from different writers could only be a speculation, we need to filter it and get only those that we think is making sense.
1874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 31, 2021, 04:27:28 PM

Magsayo has that kind of power so he really has a good chance here. I haven't seen Russell fought yet, he is popular because he is a champion but of course, our support is for Magsayo and we will stay biased regarding it. Once the betting odds are available, I'm sure many will take Magsayo especially if he is an underdog as that is so enticing.

That power would be useless if he can't hit his opponent with a clean shot. Magsayo has to really improve, real talk man, he can't win against a champion if he does the same in his last fight, he is lucky he hit his opponent with a good shot and knock him down, against a champion, he certainly has to work harder as he needs more than that, most especially his stamina should be good.
1875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 31, 2021, 03:17:01 PM
Bulls vs Pacers, Chicago is hot, DeRozan and Lavine are the best duo we have right now, while the Pacers are somewhat is crumbling as a team, even losing at home recently as betting favourite.

I will choose the Bulls here, they are only -4.5 against the Pacers, and based on their past games, they really played well and win together as a team, so I think even if the Pacers has the home court advantage, the better team will still win which is the bulls.

Bulls are on a 5 winning streak with 5 points as their lowest wins, but looking at their last 3 games, they really are dominating their opponents.

Same here, I think it's not a good idea to bet against the Bulls now that they are complete and healthy, and based on their previous games, they showed that they are worthy of a playoff spot and a shot to the NBA Finals. The big 3 are playing, it's all that matters and although Pacers has a good home record, it's not enough for the Bulls who are in serious business to win, so yeah, let's bet.
1876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 31, 2021, 12:13:36 PM
I know most people expect Mike to destroy Logan and that is probably what we will see, all I am saying is that Logan winning is not 0%, I would still give him a 10% chance.
I'm one of them that expects Mike to easily beat Logan. But one lucky throw and he'll win and it's usually happening despite having a match with a former professional boxer and still on the nice shape to punch his opponent. 10% is not bad at all as a chance and yet we have no idea how the match would be ending. We must need to have the schedule of the match first assuming things.

Mike should be able to eat Logan up.  These kind of fights are getting tiring to watch though.  Very sloppy and only entertaining for about 5 minutes.  Let Logan fight a current professional and watch him get taken to town.  Anyone know the odds on the fight for this one?
Odds for this potential fight.
https://www.usaonlinesportsbooks.com/tyson-odds-grow-stronger-over-logan-paul-in-assumed-boxing-match-11-17-2021

Which it isnt surprising for Logan to be underdog. Who did really expect for him to be the favorites? LOL!

Odds were released like a month ago but it's not available yet in any sportsbook (correct me if I'm wrong), so this is just a prediction of odds but for sure if indeed the bookies will list this fight, Tyson will certainly be the heavy favorite. I'm also interested to see the odds for a draw as I heard some rumors that if there's no KO in this fight, there's no winner.

So the NBA journey of IT with the Lakers is over, but now he have a new home as he is signed for a 10 day contract with the Dallas Mavericks.

Here's the full story.

https://www.nba.com/news/mavericks-sign-isaiah-thomas-to-10-day-contract

Quote
The Dallas Mavericks added former All-Star guard Isaiah Thomas to their roster on Wednesday via a 10-day contract under the NBA’s COVID-related hardship allowance. He arrived just in time to suit up for the Mavs in their 95-94 road loss to the Sacramento Kings.

So what do you think about this news, will he finally have a long term contract after this 10 day contract will expire?
1878  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I know legit and scam investment? on: December 30, 2021, 09:51:44 PM
Legit and scam investments are always subject to onces judgment. In a few instances, you could be wrong but other times, could be right too. One thing you should know is, scamming comes in various forms but, a few have been noted to have some similarities not limited to huge returns with even the smallest of investment capital and over a short time frame too. Once you come across things like this, be scared already. Most times, they approach you and not you getting to find out about them, they've got no reputation to reference with and are always in a hurry for you to invest with them. Just shy away or risk loosing your funds.
If you see suspicious acts on the team behind like they are pushing you to invest your money and they offer huge ROI that is too good to be true, then better stay away from it. Its one of those signs that you are in a wrong and scam investment. However, identifying a legit project is sometimes quite hard too as most of the legit ones look like scams, and scams look even more legit. So its better not to make instant decisions, but research first and create a background analysis on the project you wish to invest. Be careful too not to fall for the tricks of the team behind the project because i'm sure they have become smarter on scamming people as the years pass by.
1879  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse or mature? on: December 30, 2021, 03:56:04 PM
I am sure that it will mature, bitcoin is running for so many years many people used and trust it so it is impossible to collapse, even negative news from China and from any other sources cannot make the price collapse, it always down after the negative news and rise again this happens so many times so I think bitcoin will never fall.

Bitcoin strong fundamentals certainly do not doubt us to continue to hold bitcoin, but what is happening right now is beyond our expectations, investors fear of the Omicron variant of the covid virus has clearly triggered the market to experience a strong tornado, and I personally believe when the storm is over later,  we will see the price of bitcoin back to recover in the market.
There is no stopping for bitcoin as it will always move forward no matter what. What we have at the present is just a short correction so it won't cause the market to collapse. Instead, we will witness bitcoin to mature even more and will most likely to reach a higher ATH once the correction is over. With all the achievements made by bitcoin as a decentralized currency, it cannot be deny that there are still anti bitcoin people who loves to spread false alarms for bitcoin and if you are weak, you'll end up believing them.
1880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it the right time to invest in cryptocurrencies? on: December 30, 2021, 09:35:55 AM
I think its right but according to my experience every time is best because many time your buy a token and these token suddenly high there price and you receive a huge amount profit in a very short time but some time you invest and the price is down so that is market and these thing are face many times for investor so invest must in a great project and the other point is that be patient and wait for market up so sell there token.
More or less that's the cycle and one thing that is important is before buying or investing make sure you have searched for information and done research,
that way at least we know what we chose and it was the right decision
You're right. You should make a thorough research first on the background of the coins before you decide to invest in it, if it has good potentials to grow or they are more like shitcoins in the end. But it will always be a good time to invest when you see prices are dumping or having a short correction that made the prices to decline. And right now, i would say that its a perfect time to invest particularly with bitcoin and some main altcoins. Currently they are in dump but we know that they will always skyrocket when the market starts to be bullish again.
