1903  Other / Off-topic / Re: NBA Playoffs - Which team are you rooting for? on: June 13, 2014, 03:49:03 AM
Gonna have to go with the Mavericks on this one.  Despite Tim Duncan's comment(s).
1904  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you rather:... on: June 13, 2014, 03:44:01 AM
Would you rather: Make a lot of money doing a job that makes you miserable or barely make ends meet doing something you love? Thoughts?

Kinda depends on what you mean by making alot of money.  If we are talking insanely huge amounts why not work super hard for a year or two and then simply retire?  If your talking about pays really well but not retirement-in-a year or two well, I would absolutely opt for the happy ends meat scenario.
1905  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best multiplayer game. on: June 13, 2014, 03:41:40 AM
Let's see here.  Think I'm going to go with:

1.) Battlefield 4
2.) World of Warcraft
1906  Other / Off-topic / Re: Geeky room stuff on: June 13, 2014, 03:39:42 AM
I have a friend that bought a 3500 sqft home just to house his toys (mostly Star Wars stuff).  Now that's geeky!

"Yeah honey, it's our Vacation/Hasbro-Disney home"  Grin
Holy crap!  That's awesome.  Someday, oh yes...someday!
1907  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello All :) on: June 13, 2014, 03:30:13 AM
Hi everyone,

I started out using Bitcoin in 2013 and have been enjoying the ride so far. I really think Bitcoin will be changing the world and am more excited about the network and the applications of something as powerful as the blockchain rather than simply the price of the bitcoin currency itself.

I feel that the entire idea of a global, public ledger will help the world become more united and usher in a new era of people feeling as if they are citizens of the planet versus just citizens of a specific country or state.

Thanks for reading. Smiley
This is why your perfectly suited to get into bitcoin!  You'll do well padawan! Smiley

Welcome.
1908  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I start earning Bitcoin ? on: June 13, 2014, 03:25:03 AM
Signature advertising campaign's one of the easiest/quickest ways to start earning a few coins.  Or list whatever IT skills you want to market over under the [Marketplace] [Services] thread.
1909  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me build a Rig :) What should i buy ? on: June 13, 2014, 03:21:22 AM
Buy yourself 5 Bitmain Antminer S2 units. That will get you to your 5Th/s mark. They have the lowest power consumption needs (approx 1.1 watts/Gh/s) and they're basically plug and play. Each unit currently costs 3.881 BTC from Bitmaintech.com. Total cost minus any shipping for 5 units would be around $11,300 USD
Strongly disagree here.  If electricity cost and capacity truly aren't an issue then what your going for is the lowest $/GH ratio as opposed to the lowest $/GH/Kw ratio.  If you have massive capacity, and your juice is free...definitely go with the Antminer S1's.  Far better $/GH deal than the S2's.

*But do agree with several other fellas in here recommending staying away from mining.  Hobby-based mining won't be minting you any yachts anytime soon.  Even if you do dump 10-15K into mining hardware right now.  And the situation is likely to only continue to get worse difficulty wise for the foreseeable future.

Best of luck to you.

Whole lotta talk about posting negative feedback on this fella but nobody has followed through thus far.  Any particular reason why?  Has something changed?

nwfella, on trusted you have:

These ratings are from people who are not in your trust network. They may be totally inaccurate.

1911  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ebay/paypal scam on: June 13, 2014, 03:00:57 AM
Trust me...this isn't something specific to bitcoin on ebay/paypal...I have several friends that regularly get their account(s) frozen (0 crypto-involvement whatosever) for one BS reason or another at least 1-2 times a month and these are well established account holders.  Ebay/Paypal basically have carte blanche insofar as how they handle your hard earned money because you agreed to their ToS.  They see you pulling in the big bucks consistently your bound to get hit with some sort of "security audit" or "suspicious activity" or some other BS excuse sooner or later.  (typically sooner)
1912  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need to sell 94mBTC below cost on: June 13, 2014, 02:54:04 AM
Need to sell 94mBTC. I don't really want to sign up for an exchange because I don't want to deposit it in my bank account etc.. What's the best way to do this? I wouldn't take PayPal, I would take Amazon gift card tho.

Thank you!!
All kinds of wonderful option(s) exist out there for just this sort of occasion.  Try checking out:

1913  Economy / Reputation / nwfella Reputation Thread on: June 13, 2014, 02:39:32 AM
Greetings fellow crypto-freaks.  Created this thread to do a little reputation building.

If we have done business in the past I would very much appreciate your posting a bit of feedback here when you get the chance.
1914  Economy / Lending / Re: [ Fast | Reasonable | No-Collateral ] ★★★ [ Low Interest Loans ] on: June 13, 2014, 02:35:38 AM
I think it's because reputation loans are as precarious as the whole trust system.. you can't be really sure.
Someone could get many reputation loans and then scam as soon as people trust him with more cash.

Check btcjam^^
No worries.  Already familiar with btcjam but loan not really needed.   Was just interested in some positive feedback is all.  Have been getting along just fine without it thus far Smiley
A lot of those reputation loans lead to a bigger loans that default. I guess people are mostly cautious about this. I can supply that loan if the purpose is not for reputation.
I really appreciate the offer sir but honestly not required.  I was just checking out the Loan section one day and noticed I didn't have any positive trust feedback on my profile so thought I would take out a quick loan and pay it right back to get some.  No worries.  I do get peoples reasons for not doing them...just seems a bit counter-intuitive somehow.

Again, I thank you for the offer though.
1915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problems minning CPU AMD-FX8350 and GPU ATI Radeon HD7700 on: June 13, 2014, 01:40:46 AM
I have a ATI Radeon HD7700, and CPU AMD-FX8350 8 Cores. Minning Darkcoins. CPU Mining is only 170 khash/s.
Whem running sgminer v. 4.1 (downloaded several versions) after change conf, run sgminer and it hangs and stops working on Wibdows 8.1.
Any ideas to improve CPU hash, and get GPU to work?
Thanks in advanced….
Do you have the appropriate AMD Catalyst graphics driver(s) loaded?
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: any good IPOs going on? on: June 12, 2014, 06:43:43 PM
In my personal experience so far your lucky to find a single legitimate IPO out of 30.  Good luck in your search though.

I've had decent luck so far with petamine on havelock investments but even they are questionable atm.  Good luck to you whatever you decide.
1917  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "Spare" 7950 - no power costs on: June 12, 2014, 06:37:44 PM
Hi,

I have access to a PC that runs 24/7 and I don't pay for its power costs.
I also have a "spare" 7950.
From what I understand the profitability of mining bitcoins with GPUs has dropped massively due to ASICs (may be wrong, I don't really know what I'm talking about Smiley ).
So with GPUs, people seem to be mining Litecoin (or some other currency?).

How much could I roughly expect to make in 6 months? 7950s seem to have a "KHash rate" of 600+, and putting that into litecoin calculators with no power costs brings up about $214 profit (per year).

Is this roughly accurate?
Thanks!
Definately check out coinwarz to determinte most profitable coin to mine.  Fact is, GPU mining any scrypt coin at this point probably won't net you as much as one of the Scrypt-N, X11, X13, or Grotesl coin's will.  Heck, even sha3 (maxcoin) is better to mine than LTC with a GPU right now imho

*Not to mention your GPU will last longer if your not trying to mine straight scrypt with it. Wink
1918  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'm in love! on: June 12, 2014, 06:24:44 PM

1919  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will plummet to $10 by first half of 2014 on: June 12, 2014, 06:22:17 PM
To "less than 10$" guy:

Tick tock motherfucker! Tick, fucking tock!

He was asked to put some money where he's mouth are....he chickened out. That's all you need to know about him. Man that does not stand behind his words.
lmao...I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's setting up his coinbase account right now and buying whatever bitcoin he can!
