1921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My crypto lessons in 2021 on: December 16, 2021, 02:45:32 PM
2021 brings a good direction for the future of cryptocurrencies, when the previous market was sluggish but after many world millionaires invested in cryptocurrencies the market continued to shine, the most important lesson in 2021 is that we must be patient and don't panic because we see prices drop, rest assured that the market will soon recover.
That suits what is happening now. Yes, its always a good move to stay patient and calm when the market is very unstable because if you let your emotions rule over your mind, it will only result into losses because of improper decisions. Aside from that, being greedy by not taking profits at that moment is certainly a wrong move because you will only miss another chance to make profits and end up seeing yourself facing losses instead. No matter how small the profits will be, learn to take it always as there will be no guarantees that the next price will still be profitable or not.
1922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I had bought bitcoin 10 years ago, I would have been a millionaire: Not true on: December 16, 2021, 12:18:55 PM
The reality is that they would not have been able to hold for so long even if they bought 10 years ago. Very few have the patience to wait till 100x or more. Most of the investors will be sold at the idea of 2x or 3x itself. Some of the people that were able to hold for so long were those who had invested and then completely forgot about it. There is one more category of people who had complete trust on BTC and thus they stick with it for years.

All of us think about this but you shouldn't look for the past which didn't give anything to you and maybe learn to adopt what's currently given these days since this could give you a good result in future since always thinking about those things will just give you little stress for not doing anything at that time.
I guess majority of us never have the guts to hodl our bitcoin for that long and we intend to sell them when we see good opportunities to make profits. Not that we don't believe bitcoin that much, but we really don't have the long patience to wait for 10 years long so we can maximize profits. Now that OP had made us realized that we missed a very great opportunity, its not late to start buying now and hodl your investments either 10 or 20 years from now. That will be a long waiting game but the reward is definitely very worth it.
1923  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the market going to dump like that 2018? on: December 16, 2021, 10:40:53 AM
Only red lights have been burning in the market for several days now. Many have investing and lost a lot. I have lost a lot by investing myself. I don't really understand which way the market is going or will go. What do you suggest in such a situation?
Well first of all --there is no loss if you are not going to sell, if you have bought 1 bitcoin it will remain in your wallet 1 bitcoin, the value goes down if you will exchange for the dollar. Investing is not an easy way of making money especially in cryptocurrencies, it is quite risky, and need patient before you will have successfully profited. In this situation, the word [HOLD] is very helpful to us not to have lost our asset from nowhere. The market will most likely not be the same as the time that you mentioned because as for me --it is a minor correction that we expected after the recent bull market.
Indeed, there's no loss if you're not in panic selling. So learn more about the market updates and sentiments so you will have an idea what safety measures you will take so you won't end up living in losses. And with this market correction that makes the prices dumping, i am still confident that things will never turn out like what we had in 2018. Crypto is more secured these years because big investors and big institutions are already supporting bitcoin unlike in 2018, the adoption is still very slow. Just learn to accept the fact that market price moves up or down, and when bullish season comes, expect that bearish season will probably next to happen.
1924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still makes you rich or end of trend? on: December 16, 2021, 08:44:19 AM
I've never bought a Meme coin other than Dogecoin. But it was really a joke when I heard someone dared to burn himself of his assets to raise the price, he was a buff doge. I believe this project is a scam project that only mimics the dogecoin trend.
And Dogecoin right now is already losing its value so if you are in a position that you are hodling it for long, then you must be in a huge loss once you decide it to sell. I think it will only be profitable for meme coins if they are hyped but once its gone, they will eventually lose their value and i really doubt if they can still regain their value knowing they don't have real use cases either. So it will be a better move if we start investing in those coins that are more established and have real use cases because even if they dump their value, there will still chances for them to regain them.
1925  Economy / Speculation / Re: TA shows potential bullish breakout - if history repeats on: December 16, 2021, 07:39:14 AM
The bitcoin market seems very different today compared to its previous years and history may not work this time as bitcoin is more dumping its price when it should be rising to reach new heights. But still, knowing the fact that bitcoin is even more unpredictable and surprises may come when we least expect it, so i'm not closing my mind that history has still its chance to repeat itself before this year ends. Well, we will only know once we get there. For now, stay optimistic and never resort into panic selling no matter what.
History may repeat itself, but it may also be different from what happened. Expecting ATH during December is hard to come true as I think people are already wary of the downside about a potential bigger dump. If maybe ATH is not reached this December then I believe the market will experience a rapid correction in the end.

The market is still very difficult to predict, while the new variant of covid greatly disrupts price growth because there is a close corelation with stock investors. We can only hope at a time although it looks like it will be difficult this year to $100K.
I think it should be obvious by now that it is going to be very unlikely that we are going to see a repetition of what happened at December of 2017 during this month, however this is not as bad as people are thinking, after all even if we saw bitcoin reaching new ATHs back then that was also the beginning of the crypto winter we had to survive, so as long as we do not see bitcoin crashing like what we saw back then I will be satisfied with whatever result we get.
No matter what the path bitcoin will take this year, i think we don't have choices really but to accept it as there's no way we can control the price of bitcoin. But i do believe that history won't be repeated this year since we are already close to year end but bitcoin still bouncing its price below $50k. But i chose to be optimistic despite of the current market condition and just start maximizing my purchase while bitcoin price is still in correction. Hopefully, if we can't see new ATH this year, probably it will be more visible by 2022.
1926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 11 years without Satoshi on: December 15, 2021, 11:20:19 PM
Does anyone here have contact with our dear faketoshi? I'm talking about that Austrian scientist and businessman who has plagued the bitcoin community and is always in the fight for patents, he should come here on the forum and prove that he is the owner of this account. leaving jokes aside, time has passed a lot and today I think that even if satoshi appeared it would not have any impact on the price of bitcoin in the long run
What is the benefit of people claiming to be Satoshi, if bearing the name Satoshi can fetch money they should tell me because i wonder how somebody will wake up and what come to his mind is to claim another person name because of his good invention, since we need somebody to know us for our quality work we should develop our own currency and rename it bitcoin so that we know that we have anti bitcoin part 2, and the name will come out good to the society, all the fakesatoshi is going nowhere
I think it will be better if Satoshi remain anonymous and won't be back in the forum for good. Because even if he'll be back, that will only create hype temporarily and then back to the normal volatile market. And for the fake Satoshi who claimed before, you won't be ever be Satoshi just because of your own intention.

However, it has been 11 years since Satoshi left and look at bitcoin now, its even the future of the currency. Although it won't really happen because of the existence of fiat, but once it will be adopted by all countries, it will also be considered as another alternative to fiat, and i think that will be a very great achievement already.
1927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the bitcoin market has been dumping so much for months on: December 15, 2021, 08:51:57 PM
The bitcoin market in the last few days has experienced a drastic decline, even the price of bitcoin which previously touched the price of $68 thousand, actually experienced a decline of almost 29%, today decline was most likely caused by many whales who started to take short-term profits by selling their assets, besides the impact of the new corona virus variant makes people afraid and causes great panic in every aspect of life including the economy, finance and also investment.

The new variant fear is just a short term fud and for sure people almost forget about that but what may cause the current one right now is the fear of people about the possible long days of bear market season which is almost happening this days. Maybe if this fear didn't settle up until the end of this year then maybe we can say that what happen from the past might happen this year and instead of looking at it on negative ways maybe we should think about its good opportunity to buy some cheap bitcoin at hold it for quite long time.
Right. Omicron variant will only cause trouble temporarily but this current condition of the market has developed more fear on part of the investors particularly with newbies. But given that we are still in a long correction, so we should expect that price decline will till be on going. And more likely, although the market looks bearish these days, but i think we are not yet entering the real bear season. If that happens, there will be serious price dumps in the market and all coins will be affected which will make the whole crypto market bloody. But we still don't know when will it hit the market. For now, let's stay calm and think positive that sooner the market will recover again.
1928  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why exactly is it that people don't like identifying yourselves (KYC)? on: December 15, 2021, 09:13:11 AM
In my country, it is necessary to undergo kyc before you can start trading and even in remittance center where you will cash out your money                    from crypto also implement kyc. I think this is the way of the government to be able to trace your accounts even in crypto. But I'm not afraid of kyc because it is the only way I can trade and earn money. Our privacy may be violated but we can do nothing but follow their rules and regulations.
I must agree on you. Even if it violated the privacy of a trader, most of the exchanges today are already requiring KYC so if we really want to trade and aim profits, we will just abide with the rules. Although there are still some exchanges who are not asking for KYC, but majority are really into it. But in my honest opinion, if we want to make it more legal and to prevent from fraudulence and scamming, i guess this is a better way than to stop trading at all just because of KYC.
1929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happened to the crypto market now? on: December 15, 2021, 08:12:30 AM
2021 is a great year for crypto fans, Almost all coins have reached ATH.
After reaching ATH most of the coins get dumped but I believe that crypto has bigger players
in the market now and the market situation will be bullish again, we just need to be patient

Since we have been bullish at the start of the year and then at the third quarter, i must say that this is just a natural correction that will often occur after a bullish trend. So we need not to see the market negatively, but rather stay positive because after correction happens, there will be a strong support for bitcoin and main altcoins to reach their new ATH. That is the reason why people should not be bothered on price declines as they will eventually recover when the market becomes normal again. For now, we should only enjoy the ride and if you can't bear seeing the price decline, just take a break from monitoring the market so you won't be depressed.
1930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Machine Learning truly predict Bitcoin's price? on: December 14, 2021, 11:08:45 PM
No they can't predict the price of Bitcoin is unpredictable no one could predict what will be the price of Bitcoin in the next day or a week or even a month.
Maybe LM and AI can create small chances in its first uses but in the long run, it will only create false predictions and whoever believes on it might only see himself losing in the end. Because i believe that the crypto market is naturally unpredictable and that bitcoin is very volatile so there is no way that any certain thing will be able to predict the price correctly. And seeing that bitcoin and altcoins' prices can still be manipulated by big whales, and any sudden positive or negative events will affect the whole crypto market. For now, i believe its more on the market sentiments that create the price of bitcoin and altcoins.
1931  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe good time to loan money to invest in crypto on: December 14, 2021, 08:22:42 AM
I do agree that loaning money to invest solely on crypto is not a great idea. Loans need to be paid on the contract signed. When you invest in crypto, you won't have that assurance that you'll accumulate enough to repay the loan itself.
Crypto may be profitable but unless you take more risk to accumulate more, you would have to wait for the long run by just holding.
Right. I won't suggest to anyone to take loans for crypto investment as its a very bad decision that you will surely regret in the long run. Remember that the crypto market is very much volatile and even unpredictable so you can't guarantee yourself that you will be profitable after investing. Better invest with your own extra money that you are willing to lose than to borrow money to invest because once you cannot make profits in your target time, then that will make you miserable looking where to pay the loan amount. If that happens, you will be force to sell your coins in a low price and end up losing all your money, time and efforts.
1932  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to Hit $150,000 in 2022 on: December 14, 2021, 07:30:51 AM
We seem to have lost this round already, this year I mean. The price prediction of Bitcoin as far as many supporters, even those realistic ones, are concerned within the year 2021 is that it could reach $100,000. I myself thought Bitcoin could reach that. It is now one hundred percent obvious that we cannot have that. So the next round is 2022. And I am once again fully convinced that $100,000 is such an easy target for the whole year. Inflation is going through the roof already. Bitcoin is people's best hedge.
I thought that we can make it and even going to surpass but it looks like we ended up very short to $100,000, maybe we only stop at very close to $50k. Maybe next year, we just wish for a better trend? But to think about $150,000, for me, that seems unrealistic. I can't either draw a strong price prediction this time as it eventually makes a huge change from time to time coz even market experts are also having difficulties now. Let's see how this holiday season affects the price and is able to beat the downtrend.
It's really hard to predict right now bitcoin crossing $100k by next year since the market is still experiencing a continuous price decline. But maybe, this will not take so long as we expect that next to this is a bullish season that we fail to experience in december 2021. However, as the market remains unpredictable, we cannot be even sure if there is really a bull run after all. I'm afraid that after this price correction, bearish season will next to enter the market. Of course, this is also part of the cycle but i think most of us are not even prepared yet for this as we are anticipating more about bull run by early next year.
1933  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What did you learn about crypto trading? on: December 13, 2021, 09:55:53 PM
There’s a lot of learning experience when it comes to crypto trading and seriously this is not just about making money but also building your self confidence so when you do trading, you can have more profit as much as possible. Learning should be our top priority, because we can’t trade well without it.
Well, trading alone is definitely a broad thing and is quite hard to learn and perform particularly for those who have not yet develop their passion in trading and yet they decide to enter crypto trading. But being a long time trader here, i realized that crypto trading is very much profitable if you can do it perfectly. Even if not perfect, but if you trade with passion, with skills and strategies, you will make decent profits most of the time.

However, learning crypto trading takes time and there should be a continuous learning in crypto so that you can make a good trading outcome. And maybe if you decide to enter trading, prepare yourself for losses because that will always be inevitable.
1934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why I prefer Bitcoin over any other assets and dips don't panic me.... on: December 13, 2021, 09:30:18 PM
Good thinking I totally agree with that. Even though Bitcoin has fallen for some time, it can be seen that in the future Bitcoin actually bears skyrocketing. Like the parable of being low to skyrocket like that Bitcoin. While assets usually they will be difficult to rise again. Bitcoin itself is like the king of crypto, as the first coin with a fantastic price and its popularity now in the community, allowing Bitcoin to continue to skyrocket and become the investment choice of many people in the future.
Right. We all know that bitcoin won't stay in dips forever, it will always recover and definitely goes up again especially if there will be positive news that will push it to move its price up. Unfortunately, others assets once they dropped their value, it will be hard again to recover their price. But with bitcoin, having its price decline is not even a threat for it since it gives another opportunity to accumulate more bitcoin. And once the correction is done, bitcoin will now start to skyrocket again and is expected again to reach a new peak price.
1935  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your analysis says about btc in Q1 of 2022?? on: December 10, 2021, 07:12:48 PM
In my opinion, bitcoin has previously reached ATH $69k so far this year, but currently the price of bitcoin is dropping lower than that price level when the price correction was very deep of late. So far there has not been too much pump action, therefore, it is possible that in Q1 2022 the market is still in the accumulation stage, so maybe the bitcoin price will still be sideways with a correction tendency.
For me, if bitcoin will continue to dump its price until the last days of december, then maybe by the first quarter of 2022 we will still be seeing a correction  that will continue to dump the market. Or maybe that will be the start of bitcoin recovery after a months' correction and by that time, bitcoin is expected to reach new all time highs before we can conclude that bearish season will start to be happening in the market. With all these predictions, there are still no guarantees what will be the real scenario by then. We'll only know once we get there.
1936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 - December 18 on: December 10, 2021, 06:18:14 PM
Don't worry. Jake Paul's reputation won't be changed even he will win continuously unless he will now fight a real professional boxer in their prime.
Without knowing what went on behind the scenes, and seeing evidence of Tommy's injuries we can't really assume this was a dodge. So, we can't really blame Jake Paul for Tommy pulling out. I wouldn't hold it against Jake in this case, I'm not a huge fan of Jake Paul, but he isn't the one to blame. Although, that doesn't mean Tommy is to blame either, accidents, and injuries happen there's no real way of avoiding them. Just unfortunate timing.

Woodley on his day isn't a slouch, I think the concern is his day was about 10 years ago. Nah, but seriously Woodley still possesses the ability to knock out Jake Paul, and that's what makes this fight at least a little bit interesting.
The only disadvantage of Tommy of pulling out is he can't make money of their supposed to be fight because of injuries, and those injuries isn't acquired meaningly to avoid the fight, no, it was really an accidental one.
Woodley made a decision to train before hand incase of emergencies like this that some fighter will have to step-up to the plate to provide the people entertainment for the tickets had paid. Somehow, Woodley knew this, and Jake Paul should really watch out for this fight because he isn't safe from his revenge.
Not just that, Tommy Fury is also losing he's face to the crowd for pulling out just a few days from the fight, whatever the reasons of pulling out either from injury or caught from Covid-19, people will always see it as a circus act because the fight has favored Jake Paul well and there's nothing from the Team Fury can do about it.
As for this fight, I kind of like this more, Woodley can able to redeem his lost from their last match. I bet Woodley is more than ready in this fight, this is going to be entertaining to watch.
1937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 10, 2021, 05:24:28 PM
I really don't think this fight is going to happen.  Logan isn't acting like a guy who is about to get in the ring with Mike Tyson.  He's been partying like crazy and you can tell just from watching his podcast that his body is not being kept in fighting shape.  He looks like he's already lost 20lbs of muscle and I think he's been drunk since the Mayweather fight.  If he doesn't get himself into training camp soon or cancel this fight he's going to get murdered in the ring by Tyson.

I think it's all up to Logan Paul if he would going to push through his exhibition bout with Mike Tyson knowing that he knows that his recent activities will give a bad effect on his body. Even let's say that this is just an exhibition bout, a fighter need to prepare his body, strength and weight for the upcoming fight but if this is what have been he's doing I think his team will know what to do also.
Nah, I think this fight will pursue mate, what we're seeing is just another famous spoiled brat with nothing to do about the cash he made after his online platforms especially after his fight with Mayweather that has been clearly unentertaining to watch but still they got paid a lot by it.
Jake Paul knew that if he's not in shape even for a week before the fight, his body would bounce back to him and everything he had done prior. But since he's still in-pursuit of his ways, then I think it's safe to say that we can see Jake Paul being schooled by the legendary Mike Tyson itself and I know Mike's attitude, maybe we can see him all-in Grin
1938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 10, 2021, 04:49:22 PM
It looks like Spurs is getting good at blowing their opponents early and maintain their lead towards the end of the game. They do not have a superstar in their team but they can get the job done even against the top teams in the league. If this young team can make it to the playoffs, they will give their opponents a tough time.
Unexpectedly, Spurs made a good play against the tough Nuggets, they were leading the scores in all of 4 quarters in the play that results to 12 score difference (123-111) and now they are placed in the 12th spot in Western Conference. It seems they can manage it well and made a good chemistry with other players that's why they are moving in an orderly manner to defeat against tougher teams.
Well see if they can still keep their records and plays tomorrow.
1939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: December 10, 2021, 03:56:56 PM
Richard Commey is a very powerful puncher.  His blows are always unexpected.  He very deftly knocked out Dominican Jackson Marinez.

Lomachenko is an excellent fighter.  Commey's main hope for a knockout.  But will Lomachenko give him such a chance?  I think not!

Lomachenko is very mobile.  He does not stand in one place.  In addition, Lomachenko has great motivation to win.  Losing this fight will ruin his boxing career.

Therefore, I predict an early victory Lomachenko.  Victory by knockout.
Almost everyone that is a big fan of Lomachenko knows that he will really root and find several ways to knockout Richard Commey and we know that it will likely to happen in this fight, and also the odds are in-favor to Loma. But the real question is, what's the most expected round that Loma will able to knock Commey out? I've been reading to other speculations as well and found out that only few believed that this well end via unanimous or split decision.
As for Commey, undoubtedly he's a powerful puncher but most of it will just swing by Loma and Commey lacks the mindset and agility.
1940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 10, 2021, 03:26:02 PM
There's a late closure for the ports and airports and that's why the virus got into us. I still remember watching the news of the very first covid19 case found in San Juan.
I've read about omicron that it only causes mild symptoms and I'm just hoping for the best that it will not really be dangerous. The same concern when the first news about the delta variant popped up. We're too worried but it tends to be mitigated already in our country. Well, just waiting for some good signs as IATF gives the entertainment that we all want through PBA.

We have overcome the more dangerous variant which is the Delta and I think we can't handle this Omicron also through vaccination. Reports have said that population vaccination in South Africa is not too good that is why it is spreading there quickly but that will not be the case here in our country because Filipinos are starting to embrace Covid-19 vaccines.

Excited to bet here for the games tomorrow but there are still no odds for those games, maybe tomorrow morning PH time they will place the odds.
With the recent news that I've watched, the boosters will be the ones to mitigate the risk that this Omicron variant is bringing. So maybe if IATF would be too loose on their restrictions, it's okay to allow audiences that are fully vaccinated.
That should suffice the requirement for them to allow people that are longing to watch some live basketball matches from their favorite teams. It's just a matter of decision for them and a few talks probably.
Indeed, good thing that the booster shots will work because these shots were created in the first place before omnicron variant was born. The IATF should allow these because it's part of their plan to boost the economy again in the Philippines, but I think just a 70% capacity because we know that these PBA games are played indoor. As of now, Philippines is starting to gain back to normal and no reports of this new variant.
For that, I think the schedules will be intact and people are really excited to watch again, including me.
