1941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polygon (MATIC) to $20? on: April 13, 2023, 05:17:28 PM
If there is no good news on Matic Coin, its price will never rise to a good level. Because the supply of matic coins is high, there is a large amount of coins available to holders. So even if it's in the top ten coins in this market and in the future and coin marketcap, I think it's not possible to be $20. Because to be 20 dollars, there must be a lot of good news and the supply must be reduced.
As long as Reddit avatars will be using matic it will have future, but i wouldn't count on them keep using it when better opportunity arrives. I don't think it's news that would carry this token as they already had their share of it. But i totally can see reddit carrying this to ath onc again (unless reddit figures out a better nft solution).
1942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: FTT comeback on: April 13, 2023, 05:12:35 PM
I believe it when i see it. It's hard to picture a crypto company that would be more tainted during last bullrun. I seriously see people trusting even yobit more than FTX.

Is it so hard to brand new exchange that people would rather trust FTX then brand new one? Or could it be that some people in charge of this move bought FTT tokens in the bottom and this is their way to manipulate the price. You don't need to use 2 brain cells to figure out what's happening here.

after the departure of Facebook, the WeChat super app appeared there. Think about it at your leisure.

Lol, It figures. I guess surveillance tools are somehow better when they are from totalitarian dictatorship thought polices that are jailing/executing the opposition and not by private companies for advertising purposes. I heard that Putin has a cancer. Let's hope for the best. Thoughs and prayers.
1944  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Being Russia and Russian now on: April 13, 2023, 01:33:52 PM
If anything you said would be true, then i assume that local Russians are ok with sanctions. When sanctions started ton of people were worried that it would hurt regular people in russia that haven't done anything. But i can't say if you are trolling or not. I guess west was now smart and thought about it in advance. Or how are trolls thinking now?

-cut-
If a digital ruble is created in Russia, it will make it possible to force people to do the “right” actions, under the threat of a complete ban on the use of their money.  Blacklisted people will not be able to buy the goods, works and services they need.

At present, this looks like a utopia, but in the future it is possible (and not only in Russia).
Ruble being CBDC or in any other form wouldn't solve any of their issues unless lack of surveillance is one of them. And funny that you used word utopia instead of dystopia. Can you elaborate on this?

1945  Economy / Economics / Re: using credit card on: April 13, 2023, 01:09:42 PM

i am weak at economy, is it wise decision to use credit card?
It depends on your attitude and how are you using it. Technically you should avoid using it but if you are keeping track of your budged and you have a solid payback plan, there's no harm using it as sort of buffer money. Better way would be that you had savings as a buffer money as you can get to all sorts of trouble depending how good you are with your money.

I would say that most people don't need credit card and most of those who want it want it for wrong reasons. Future can get pretty dark if you are spending faster then you are earning.
1946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth could perform better due to deflationary on: April 12, 2023, 07:12:01 PM
The higher the marketcap, the less chance of a coin to increase in price. Little amount of money pumped into low marketcap coin can result to high increase in the price of the coin.
-cut-
I would normally agree but when coin is deflationary it changes the rules with normal marketcap approach a little bit. Technically the coin amount reduces it can drop the marketcap while increasing the price. I am however uncertain if there are still more tokens burned then issued via staking it. But however i am certain that many coins and tokens out there doesn't have as sustainable and as well thought tokenomic game theory as eth.
1947  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fight against corruption on: April 12, 2023, 07:04:22 PM
How easy for a new president who is been elected to fight corruption in a nation where all the systems of government is been corrupted,  like in the force,  and judiciary,  even the politicians.

Having  the mind to stop corruption is not easy in a nation that corruption  is seen as nothing, making an attempt to do so some politicians will do everything to frustrate the agenda. Do you think a genuine president can easily end corruption of this level ?
Not easy but not impossible. And if there are really no alternatives that's sort of a pointless question. Question is, how much power will people want to give for fighting corruption?

People often hate first world money tracking and surveillance but that hardcore surveillance is pretty much the price if we want to prevent corruption.
When people demand transparency they also will need to be part of that same transparency. As when everyone is accountable it's harder to hide bribes and quid pro quos.
1948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sushiswap hacked on: April 12, 2023, 06:54:28 PM
The implementation of QID in combination with the legally binding constitution means that Q Blockchain community members are protected from exit scams, rug pulls, and hacks. That's the solution.
QID? I would like to see how that would legally work first. You might be right on this but i would like to hear your vision about future of DEX then?
What's the point of decentralized exchanges if they operate in such centralized way. Legally binding contract would most definitely mean for KYCing every participant if this would get to court.
1949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM - yes or no? on: April 12, 2023, 06:38:07 PM
Hi,
I am looking for a new position to start DCA into while prices are low and thinking of XLM.
Up until now had not really paid much attention mainly because I notice they didnt perform that well in the last bull run but I see this is now due to being closely linked with XRP who still have the ongoing case - or do I have that wrong?
Anyway, there is a lot of noise on Youtube currently for XLM - some saying it will do really well when XRP wins their case - is this likely?
With a current price of $0.10 I am just thinking of bagging 3 or 4 thousand and hoping it does a 10x or something if XRP wins the case.
Be good to hear thoughts on XLM, both good and bad?
As an investment, i can't see it rising too much compared to potential some other altcoins have. As what comes to fundamentals, they lack developers and adoption. There are potential however as their almost isolated hype team reminds me of NXT community back in time. That mooned before devs scattered to other projects. What XML lacks a lot is community hyping it. I have not seen it mentioned in anywhere.
1950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the altcoin holders hang on until the bull run comes ? on: April 12, 2023, 06:23:08 PM
I believe everyone on this forum has made both good and bad decisions in terms of investing in altcoins. I recently made a mistake buying a lot of Dogecoins after Elon Musk changed the Twitter logo into the Doge logo.
I would brush it as a rookie mistake but have comfort in the thought that you weren't alone. Elon is just the newest influencer, there have been many in the past that people follow. This will pass too sooner or later. People eventually get bored on combatting with trading bots and Elon's tweets.

Price was surging and due to FOMO, I bought a lot at the price of $0.099 and afterwards it started to dump like hell. If I continue to hold Dogecoins, the price might be dumping even lower but if I sell them now, the losses become concrete and I'll never have a chance to win back.
Why do you think you never have a change to in back your money? I am not saying you will but if you don't hodl, you won't be making it back. Least not with doge. Selling in loss now might be the best option as this was the ultimate peak for doge visibility. There are no big events to wait for doge anymore.

Have you ever had the same experience ? What did/would you do ? Please share your opinions. By the way, I am with FireDAO team, in charge of the global community. Please contact me if you have any inquiry.
People make mistakes all the time, no matter how long have you been in this scene. Most people who got rich most admit that they were lucky. And by that i mean luck is a part of it but not everything. As people who are not selling now will be called lucky at the next top. This has been so for all the cycles i've been in.

1951  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|✨Fury Games Legacy for $1 000 000 | Lamborghini Huracan & Crypto💸 on: April 12, 2023, 05:47:43 PM
In recent months bitcoin has been bullish on weekly and monthly charts, but I haven't seen any effect on BFG tokens and other cryptos.
The altcoin session hasn't started as a whole at the moment just bitcoin is looking bullish faster and some of the top altcoins are having more impact than other crypto tokens eg BFG

i think adding some new exchanges to increase trading volume will also boost BFG value when overall crypto market is bullish exactly 2 years from now i.e. 2025 as many pundits predict. but it doesn't have to be the BFG value, the most important thing is that betfurry has to convince many interested investors to want to invest in their token.

Because BFG price isn't based on speculation, you could literally do the math based on past dividend it paid and include the decrease curve. This token is not going to scale eth nor is it any kind of innovation or a meme token that might build a dex later on. My guess is that BFG won't be rising with other altcoins as it's very different, like UNU SED LEO, difference being that betfury hasn't committed to anything specific on paper.

Only way i see this rising is if some other gambling related token moons for reason x and people will buy other gambling related tokens for just in case, or that betfury commits to some specific burning method and encloses a tokenomic game theory that makes sense.
1952  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|✨Fury Games Legacy for $1 000 000 | Lamborghini Huracan & Crypto💸 on: April 10, 2023, 10:39:53 PM
This is the most possible reason for their coldness in the forum. I believe this started after they receive negative feedback due to their issue regarding the retroactive changing of affiliate commission rate against  reputable user here. I don’t understand on what Betfury trying to make stand for their rules while they are now offering a huge affiliate commission for their recent event. We have no idea how much money in dispute with their issue but they should settle it fair and square if they want to clear all their reputation.

Right now the representative is just posting announcement here without engaging on any discussion that is a clear indication that they are not interested much on Bitcointalk community engagement. I remember that they are still launching signature campaign whenever they have a big event but that’s all and nothing long term plan here. I think they are doing very good when they are active here, They just shifted to social media and partnership as part of their new promotion strategy.
I think that was a weak attack to begin with. I think they missed a chance there because even though there was a few people who didn't like it, and there was a big affiliate who made a scene about it, the reality is that there were a lot of us who supported it as well. And them leaving just because some other people said something about them is a bad move because they also left the supporters like me on the road when they did that, when in fact they could have stayed with us here as well.

In any case, they did what they did and I support them and they have the right to change the rates whenever they want to because it's their business and if anyone wants to stop working for them, they could do so if they want to.
About betfury not engaging on any discussion in here:
They obviously ARE interested to market for bitcointalk community. Imho they just want get the best of it without any repercussions. If there wasn't red trust from legendary users i would brush this all off as a fud.

FanEagle: if you really think that was a weak attack you might want to defend them in the accusation thread? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5400484.0
I really don't have any clue if the accusations are legit or not but i see them as unsolved and even if i am haven't attracted whales with my referrals in there, that accusation sort of worries me in this case. Combined with the fact i was muted in their telegram for asking questions.

But if you are sure it's unjustified fud, you can always give them green trust as that would count being a legendary user and all.

I saw the super rain yesterday from  diamond player maybe the biggest rain I have ever seen, are you guys one of them?  Cheesy
Surely I am not one of them but hoping for the next it is my turn  Grin By the way, if you are Stake.us user you can claim this code easyclaim123
This is a special code that was shared when Eddie live a few hours ago.

I didn't know anything even remotely like this could ever happen during rains. Or does it? Has something like this ever happened before in any chat? Most rain i've got in random chat was something worth $0.50.

I know some rich twitter users like cobie occasionally tipping insane amounts to random people and early days of bitcoin some fresh millionaires were throwing money around but that's it, it wouldn't have even crossed my mind that this could happen in chat rains.
1954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipping Dealers on: April 10, 2023, 08:54:47 PM
I used to deal poker in private games and I only made money if tipped. Usually averaged out to 40-50$ per hour. In that game we kept all our tips, but that's not the case in casinos and other private games. I know 1 game that pays their dealers $20 per hour+tips. Casinos sometimes pay dealers an hourly wage and make all dealers split tips evenly between all who are on a shift.

I think in the USA it's pretty standard to tip the dealer a minimum of $1 per hand. Depending on the stakes of the game being dealt, people usually tip a lot more.
This is interesting. Lucky for me i haven't been in casinos in US, as i thought this tipping culture applies only to restaurants and i wouldn't have tipped.
We don't have a tipping culture in Finland. In fact it's usually frowned upon as workers should be paid decent basic wages, and it should be the responsibility of employers, not the customers. And since everyone agrees on that, we don't want to encourage any culture that could compromise that. In fact only place that tipping is common is strip tease bars, which i don't go to.

So tipping seems a strange custom to me even in restaurants. Not to mention casinos.

How do you think the game 2048 is suitable for gambling in casinos? Before I started playing in casinos, in my free time I played 2048, I somehow think that in casinos this game will be a success, the game should be with a cashout.  What do you think about it? Huh
How exactly could casinos have an edge with this?
It's literally skill based game and anyone with a brain would beat the house constantly.

It's a cool game but not every good game is suitable for casino. Not even as p2p version as you could bot that game easily so it would be just smart bots against smarter bots. In order this game to be a casino game it should need radical changes and it would end up being a whole different game in the end.
1956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sushiswap hacked on: April 09, 2023, 11:56:41 PM
But on the other hand my question is, how many dex hacks there needs to be until you would accept that current tech isn't even near for wide adoption? As we have all the responsibility of our money, even in cases of DEX hacks, how in the million years this tech would be adopted by anyone else then experimental libertarians?
Because they are not Decentralized Exchanges anyway. They are just bunches of copy-cat smart contract codes running on different centralized chains created to make money off noobs who have no idea what a decentralized exchange is.

A few years from now, no one will even think of using any of them. Remember Etherdelta?
Yup, i remember it. It was like a early prototype of this. I actually made ton of money using it. But man it was way more difficult.
I remember that buy and sell walls weren't working "cumulative" so you had to hand pick orders to buy from. And because people didn't get how it worked, some people sold too low and some bought too high. Yeah, i have to admit that was a good example of weird GUI. People don't seem to understand how weird all this is to newbs. It's way better then years ago but still confusing operation, not to mention they get hacked.
1957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Thought On Gambling Strategies on: April 09, 2023, 10:27:51 AM
I think people don't understand that there is no strategy in gambling. Gamble but consider your spendings on it as an entertainment expense. Got luck on your side and won? Good. If you don't you still had fun.
Well one strategy that i just realized is that if i would gamble on wrestling (and i mean WWE as in show wrestling). I should bet the one with lowest odds and therefore highest multiplier.

And hold on you say, isn't that predetermined? That's the beauty of it. Technically that makes every match 50/50 to me, as i can't use my insight to predict anything. Then why in the world i would settle for lower multipliers? Obviously this would not guarantee anything but it would give me slight edge over the people playing low multiplies, assuming they don't have any insight either.

Only way to get real results in this is somehow to get inside Triple H's head who presumably decides who wins. But without that it would make sense to only bet on the one with lower odds.
1958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Sushiswap hacked on: April 09, 2023, 08:56:33 AM
You know we have already seen the bottom on altcoin bear market when Sushiswap gets hacked and no one even cares that they get exploited. Imho weak hands are out and from the technical side i think we can rise any time now.

Quote
Decentralized exchange SushiSwap has fallen victim to an exploit, which led to the loss of more than $3.3 million from at least one user, known as 0xSifu on Twitter.

The exploit involves an approve-related bug on the RouterProcessor2 contract — which PeckShield and SushiSwap Head Chef Jared Grey recommend revoking on all chains.

Yeah, i am not sure who is in charge of their product planning but that is more like "we will carry on". One would hope that they had more vision as they could potentially change the whole face of casino as we know it. For example tokens could be used for DAO, airdrops, free passes for events, not to mention they could just officially commit to burning. Now they could just stop at some point and we don't know when.
As already mentioned above, the Betfury team is already burning BFG tokens every month, and it seems that almost 33 percent of the total BFG emission has already been burned, but the problem is that this does not have any positive effect. Maybe I'm wrong, but I get the impression that the Betfury team just ran out of ideas, especially after they initiated a vote last year to extend BFG mining for 53 months.
Yes, everyone knows that, yet no one knows how long they are going to do that. They might stop to 50% like some projects or keep going indefinitely. What i would like to know why they are not answering to this. They are not committed to any number so they might just stop burning after 40% for all we know. They have never promised to keep going indefinitely, and at some point there are no team tokens to be burned.

Cash reward as usual $17, how much did you get this time and did you get a very significant difference like 50% or more compared to what you used to get? As per my experience when I was still actively wagering, my pre monthly bonus was around $20-25 (cant really remember the exact number) but since I do not active wagering like what I used to do, the amount dropped to $15-17.
$15 to $17 is still a pretty amount of money to get as a bonus monthly, it indicates that you still have been wagering some really nice amount of money.
-cut-
For sure. Just out of interest, roughly much you need to gamble monthly to achieve that? I haven't touched that kind of bonuses as i am a tiny fish when it comes to gambling and i am mostly using slots anyway. From some point of view i am gambling a lot, even though i see it as quite little as i still won't get bonuses but then again i don't have anyone to compare myself to. I won't be gambling more just to get such bonuses but i am interested.
