1944  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Genernal water coolling solution for AntMiner S9 S7 D3 L3+ , Pangolin M3 on: January 05, 2018, 12:05:59 AM
As with most concepts, the theory is good, the reality isn't. Water is the mortal enemy of these units. In an industrial setting, this concept is totally impractical and down right fatal to the business if one mistake causes water to get everywhere. Every board that gets touched with water is bricked and your investment is down the toilet. Air flow is how these units were meant to operate.

This is a false claim.

Water cooling is safe when you know how to do it properly.

In Russia they are actually taking advantage of the heat produced by miners, and they have built water cooled Bitfury-based miner (Sunrise series).
So those miners are not only mining btc, but also working as 'water boilers'.
See  RMC  (Russian Miner Coin) for more information about that case.
They have some pictures of the water cooling builds at their Facebook page.
1945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GroupBuy - Innosilicon A5 Dashmaster X11 on: January 04, 2018, 08:06:33 PM
I paid 10k USD for my unit and now they offer the price 3k..

What. The. Fuck?

No compesation what so ever, even though I even asked if they could provide one..

They really are not thinking long distance, when it comes to the customer relationships.
1946  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Ebang Announces E9++, E10, and E10.1 on: January 04, 2018, 08:03:59 PM
So ebit is not selling small orders?

Nope, minimum order quantity 20 units.  Undecided

Hey Hags, you wouldnt happen to know who GLS works with in the states do you?

No, sorry.  Undecided

Here at the front page is a map where you can see GLS partners in Europe countries https://gls-group.eu/EU/en/home

If I had to guess, they could use the USPS in the US.
1948  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptouniverse - Official Canaan Distributor on: January 04, 2018, 06:32:48 PM
For United Kingdom deliveries GLS has a partner, Parcelforce.

You should be able to see the Parcelforce tracking number, when you use your GLS tracking number here https://gls-group.eu/EU/en/parcel-tracking

Can you confirm that it is a legit webshop?

I can't see any link at Bitfury's official website www.bitfury.com

You are suppose to put your own user credentials.

It should be your bitcoin wallet address as a username, or your Kano.is username if you are registered at the pool website.

Instead you decided to put Kano's user credentials (in that picture your username is Kano.worker).

You might want to know what you are doing before doing anything.  Wink
1953  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 04, 2018, 01:04:20 AM
Like HagssFIN says, an eBay listing for this item neither proves nor disproves anything. It’s an image from the website that anyone has access too, and the seller clearly states that their 20 units are on order only. If it turns out to be a Scam, the seller will have to refund the money.

The only thing that will add  to the  legitimacy of the project at this time will be an independent review. It’s just a shame no one on this forum is able (or willing) to provide one.

Ask voskcoin to do a review

Me, Dabs and Philipma1957 have already mentioned that any of us would be ready to co-op with them and do a thorough, honest review for the DragonMint miner.

They (Halong Mining) haven't yet worked together with any of us.

And after a long time we are still waiting for promojo's review.

He has reported that he has a demo unit.

I wonder if he will publish it some day or not..
1954  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: January 03, 2018, 10:55:20 PM
Well, tested the fan today. At least I know the fan is bad! Tried with multiple pc's ect.. same results everytime.

I tried reducing the voltage to -1/-2 not for sure if it helped much, the miner still got hot at the same rate. I am definitely replacing the fan though.
I have the avalon 741 on its own outlet, I will be testing the outlet today to see if the power is good.

Fan stats:
Avalon 741-Cooler Master pull, 120x120mm x38mm, 12VDC 2,7A, A12038-60BB-4RP-F1

Thinking this fan might be ok... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076CVBK55/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=cryptounivers-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B076CVBK55&linkId=c5fb1b490f79c83223c1aac8deed848a
Would the size difference matter?..
I see a suggestion for  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QWB1X3O/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=cryptounivers-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B00QWB1X3O&linkId=2d035699d78dedadfdcd9e82ff1b5e6a
but the price difference. Would prefer a good fan(same stats) that works and I can get fairly quickly.

Open to suggestions, Thanks for the help.

Yeah, that Delta QFR1212GHE will do the job just fine.  Smiley
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076CVBK55/

And that Sanyo 9GV1212P1J091 is a good quality fan as well, I used to have one with the Avalon6 miner.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QWB1X3O/

These are pretty much equally good options for a replacement cooling fan.

1955  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [EU Interest Check] Group Buy E10 18T Flash sale at 1 p.m. on January 4th on: January 03, 2018, 06:17:45 PM
Please notice that if you do a group buy and gets those ten Ebits first shipped to Finland before sending them to participants, you will need to pay the 24% VAT for the whole order.

So as the price is already quite high, it will be even higher after taxes.
1.24 times 4300 USD equals 5332 USD.

I just think that Ebang put a too high price for their new hardware.
1956  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer T3+ coming out in China tmrw - 5000 units on: January 03, 2018, 05:43:46 PM
Yes that basically click baited me here. "The fuck is a T3". Tongue

Very efficient way to attract people here to participate discussions.  Cheesy
1957  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer T3+ coming out in China tmrw - 5000 units on: January 03, 2018, 05:16:58 PM
Yes.
So maybe the T9+ model has something like 159 chips..

@btc-haze
Thanks for the information!
Btw, can you fix the thread title?
I guess you meant to wrote 'T9+' instead of the 'T3+'?
1958  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer T3+ coming out in China tmrw - 5000 units on: January 03, 2018, 05:13:09 PM
Antminer T9
Hash Rate: 11.5TH/s ±7%
Power Consumption: 1450W ±7%

Antminer T9+
Hash Rate: 10.5TH/s ±5%
Power Consumption: 1432W ±7%

I'm not getting the new name, T9+.  Huh
Since the hash rate is actually lower than before, and also the power efficiency is slightly worse than before.

Maybe some updated changes in the miner design?

I presume that there are less amount BM1387 chips in the T9+ design.
