1981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The crypto market is getting green and is improving? on: April 18, 2019, 05:44:34 PM
It has a lot of improvement these days and it's surprising. I guess most of us are expecting the bull run to happen anytime soon but I think the sudden changes isn't a sign of the bull market yet. Let's just continue to observe the changes because the prices are getting stocked at some point.
1982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For those bounty hunters who can hardly relate (Part 2) on: April 18, 2019, 05:31:31 PM
To be honest, I have been through this kind of situation where I just got tired of waiting. I thought good things come to those who are willing to wait but not at some point. Some Ico's are really disappointing and ends up with the usual thing and the same scenario. I realized that bounty hunting is composed of 40%effort and 60% patience.
1983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto Currrencies failed to solve the Problem?? on: April 18, 2019, 04:41:11 PM
As for me, though bitcoin is created, there are still problems that it couldn't polish. There are lots of cryptocurrencies created but they are still developing. Everything will be polished soon and despite of the market's volatility, it could contribute something in the economic growth which is giving a positive outlook for crytocurrency.
1984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The End of Bear Market, Confirmed!! on: April 18, 2019, 04:17:14 PM
I think we're quite far from the bull market. There are still things that are yet to happen such as different adoptions and development. We can speculate but it's too early to conclude though the movement of the market is actually going well, we should just wait and expect the possible changes for the approach of the bull market in the future.
1985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do your research before investing in ICOs on: April 18, 2019, 03:49:56 PM
I certainly agree with you. Based on my experience, it's risky to invest in new Ico's without doing a series of research. You should know how to value your funds so you should invest it in a trusted one. I have learned that it's important to know everything about a coin and its future plans just to know if it has a potential and if it's worth investing.
1986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEWARE OF IEO on: April 18, 2019, 02:30:11 PM
The most dangerous thing in life is not to be able to see ahead of time,if you can't see ahead of time, you will always be cut up in the mist.So many are tired of ICO,as a matter of fact, ICO is almost dead, then came IEO presenting itself as a saviour of those investors that have suffered as a result of ICO,looking so tempting because some big exchange are backing it up,but i tell you,it can be more dangerous than ICO if you are not smart enough, atleast in the case of ICO,if price dump,it will dump on everyone, meaning there were some level of transparency, but for IEO especially with the big exchanges, the only thing we get to hear is that,it was sold out in seconds thereby creating an atmosphere that will make everyone to be looking forward to buy the moment it hit exchange, and the selected set of whales (hmmmm),who are already holding on to the coins are also ready to dump on people at a ridiculous price at exchange, after dumping it on people, then come a dump in price because the coin itself does not worth the price in the first instance, but because so much hype has been created in order to enrich themselves.I hope someone will wake up and not be cut up in the pool of loss.
My candid advice,if you can't get it at IEO,don't be fool to buy at a ridiculous price the moment is listed. The rich are getting richer, don't be trapped. All the best.

I haven't thought of this possible scenario once IEO replaces ICO. This is really alarming that it is possible that whales or even the exchange it self would buy the coins for them to set a price in the market. By declaring it sold-out, this would most likely create a hype and thosw who were late to buy during IEO would do panic buying.
1987  Economy / Gambling / Re: TPLAY token is used in crypto-casino on: April 18, 2019, 01:54:35 PM
I thought that the site was up and running but this is what I got from visiting the site. I was planning to test the site and see the games there and somehow evaluate it.

I checked it too, it seems that it is still under development. Would've been great to have a look at their site. It's a great idea for a gambling site to be transparent to their users. Can't wait for further announcement for us to be able to test the web site.
1988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDT has successfully landed in TRON public chain, and the 20 million incentive on: April 18, 2019, 01:41:03 PM
Good news for tron holders, this is surely a great achievement on Tron chain which will help Tron holders and traders to smooth out risk. Might be worth joining their campaign since they are giving away a huge amount of USDT.

Here is a link I found on google about this:

1989  Economy / Economics / Re: How adoption will happen on: April 18, 2019, 09:45:06 AM
Is it going to start with poor countries and their dictators?
Is it going to start in the USA with their SEC and ETF and everything?
Discuss.

It can happen in anyways, either government will start accepting cryptocurrency or the next bull market might attract even more investors. One this is for sure, bitcoin will reach out the mass naturally from one to another.
1990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The arrival of cryptocurrency has been well and truly announced! on: April 18, 2019, 07:39:25 AM
As to OP's post, pardon me, I've tried reading your post several times and this is what I got. Correct me if I'm wrong, you were talking about how cryptocurrency spread through out the world fast that the government wasn't able to take action to stop it's spread. I got confused because of redundancy of words and sugar coated words you used to explain what you are pointing out.
Enlighten me OP.  Cheesy
What is so confusing here? Op is clearly to state that more and more people in the world are learning about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general with time which is why mainstream adoption is not a dream anymore.

Also, he mentions that no government can stop the ascension of Bitcoin with time.

I got the whole point that OP is talking about people's awareness and fast cryptocurrency awareness and spread. Just wondering if ever I missed out some important point about the post.

Thank you for clarifying tho, waiting for more comments to read thru.

I think the OP is wrong on saying that no government can stop bitcoin with this adoption. In fact, government still the authority to judge bitcoin in the end. If they wanted to close it out then it will be closed out. Yes, it's true that massive adoption is not a dream anymore but if it's the will of the government to ban bitcoin then bitcoin will be banned.

I agree that the government still has the final say on cryptocurrency adaptation and legalization. If it says crypto is banned or illegal, we have no choice but to abide.

1992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AMA (Ask Me Anything): The current state of Bitcoin in the Philippines 🇵🇭 on: April 18, 2019, 06:28:11 AM
Here in Philippines let's talk about public perception. Filipinos are wise people. They are so realistic they want a proof that someone will become successful because of bitcoin. So most of us did not believe in a small amount of time. In terms of usability I think now coins.ph is become hard proces because many of remittance center where we can get an bitcoin cash in are now off their tie up at coins.ph. And in terms of regularization? All we know that this is impossible in type of government that we have.
The use of bitcoin in the Philippines has made rapid progress due to government policies that support transactions using bitcoin, so that public perceptions are very positive.
They do it for investment, trade or for payments where it makes it easier when traveling abroad because transactions can be done directly and peer to peer.
Merchants who receive payments with bitcoin are increasing because the Philippines is also a busy tourist destination.

Aside from that, thru coins.ph people were able to use it as a remitance service which is really convenient. Family members that are working outside the country can actually send their remittances with just a click, instead of using banks or remitance company as a middle-man which might take a couple of days.
1993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC defeats the purpose of Crypto. Thoughts anyone? on: April 18, 2019, 06:02:03 AM
One of the beauties of crypto-currencies is that it creates an avenue for users to maintain some level of anonymity, but with the constant pestering about KYC (many of which are scams) that seem to be waning. kYC presents a single point of failure for crypto unique feature of anonymity (or pseudo anonymity)

On point, aside from that the risk that KYC brings to user is really alarming. Ever heard of KYC credentials being sold in the dark web for money? What if your credentials are used for doing fraudelent acts or illegal activities. Along with the risk of your credentials being exploited is the inconvenience of making crypto inaccesible to the mass. With the KYC procedure, it will be inconvenient for new-comers to gain access to platforms to get their first ever crypto.
1994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know when to stop a HODL/HOLD on: April 18, 2019, 05:44:17 AM
Newbies can easily be influenced from what they hear from speculations.. I've read several times people tend to advice to hold long term. because its easy for them to say JUST HOLD cause theyre not the one losing! For me its not all about holding, its being smart about your own invesment know when to stop and cut the losses.

What are your thoughts?

Based on experience, too much holding sometimes leads to an opportunity loss. That is why at some point, you should actually sell it, and if you really trust it has a good potential just buy back during the dip. I missed a lot of opportunities because of holding and lost a lot of money because of it.
1995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on an insect fight? on: April 18, 2019, 05:19:46 AM
In our country kids catch spidera and let them fight on a stick. You can also see adults doing the same and guess what, they are betting money with it. The question is, will this kind of gambling catch gamblers attention online?
1996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Popularity Soars in Argentina Due to Mass Inflation on: April 18, 2019, 04:04:30 AM
Argentina's inflation has hit 55% this year, caused by a collapse in confidence in the peso. As a result, Argentinians are turning to bitcoin as a hedge to further monetary collapse. No matter what the central bank does, inflation continues to rise. Notably, Tim Draper met with the president of Argentina some time ago and suggested the country adopt bitcoin as the national currency.

https://bitcoinist.com/argentina-central-bank-inflation-bitcoin/

Interesting, if ever Argentina would be the first country to make bitcoin as it's main currency. But, the question is will this really help solve the inflation. What will be the total effect of making bitcoin as their currency once the market crashes drastically (knowing that crypto market is volatile.)
1997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your favorite kind of lottery? on: April 18, 2019, 03:51:55 AM

What is your favorite / preferable kind of lottery:

1. Active or passive approach:

Active: you need to guess winning numbers your self (like 6/45 etc.)

Passive: just buy ticket and wait if the ticket is lucky or not

2. Odds or prize amount?

Will you choose a lottery game with higher odds but lower prize, or lower odds but huge jackpot?

3. Reasonable ticket price?

Thank you everyone who joins the discussion.

I like both active and passive lottery. In real-life lottery I only play passive lottery, I don't like picking nunbers by my self. Lower-odds, higher jackpot is the best, to test my luck. No idea about the ticket price, as long as it is reasonable, it is okay.
1998  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you define a good exchange? on: April 18, 2019, 03:35:20 AM
Each of us has different pteferences when speaking of exchange. I prefer secured and accessible exchange. What I mean by accessible is, it doesn't require you to do KYC to be able to use the whole function of the exchange such as withdrawal. If possible an exchange with almost major altcoin is listed and of course a trouble free, fast, and cheap deposit and withdrawal.
1999  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you see cryptocurrency 10 years from now? on: April 18, 2019, 03:30:00 AM
Hey guys,

I was watching some documentaries the other day about our monetary system. I'm convinced that crypto currency is the future money and fiat currency will be erase in the future. How long do you think can it take?

Thanks!

10 years from now, we can expect that cryptocurrency adaptation is higher compared to how it is today. We can see more innovations and development in the blockchain and the whole crypto market. I don't see crypto replacing and completely erasing fiat, it might be accepted as an alternative mediun of exchange like debit/credit card.
2000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EXPECTATION Vs. REALITY Bitcoin in the Eyes of the People! on: April 17, 2019, 11:54:54 PM
We cannot blame 100% the investors, because nowadays all of this ICO/MN-POS project are rampant with a promise of good profit, we cannot deny the fact that some of the people specially the new one were hyped by these type of promises, hyped by good whitepaper, good website design, and also some of this projects are using some prominent personality to convince the investors, now my advice is, everyone should do their assignment to double check, make a well and depth research about every projects.

It's true, only few investors are investing in crypto for the sole-purpose of using it based on how cryptocurrency was created. Maybe it's because most people who invite new people into crypto introduce it as an investment tool to earn money. That's why most people think of crypto as an investment. As time goes by, let's hope that cryptocurrency awareness will increase. We need to understand the whole concept of cryptocurrency.
