In 2010, Iran's nuclear facilities were infiltrated by Stuxnet, the centrifuge-wrecking malware allegedly cooked up by the US government. Now they seem to have been hit again by a bizarre attack forcing nuclear plant workstations to pump the song Thunderstruck by heavy metal band AC/DC through the speakers at full volume. The Iranian scientist goes on to say that they believe the attackers used Metasploit, a common hacking tool which provides a variety of ways to penetrate supposedly secure networks. "There was also some music playing randomly on several of the workstations during the middle of the night with the volume maxed out," says the scientist. "I believe it was playing 'Thunderstruck' by AC/DC." http://www.newscientist.com/blogs/onepercent/2012/07/iranian-nuclear-facilities-thu.html

Reason #7 is pretty valid IMO... Early adopters taking the risk of investing their time and fiat when the currency have almost no value and security is unfair? Maybe early adopters and miners of gold are also unfair? Price of gold between 1955-2011https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_as_an_investment#Gold_Price_History_1955-2011Central banks printing and lending money out of thin air thus devaluing your accumulated fiat is more fair? A peer-to-peer currency distributed via an open source software and mathematical algorithm is unfair? Botnet might be unfair but the security/anti-virus sector is flawed/unfair and it has nothing to do with BTC. Think about CC and identity theft. This article is pure media propaganda at his best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0IJCGuNtqk&feature=channel&list=UL

They're probably afraid to be accused of facilitating money laundering from the US government.

I'm a recently retired pro online poker player that played full time for 5 years. I can tell that the poker client and most importantly the advertisement campaign are both keys to a successful poker website. The Seal With Clubs poker client is ugly and inefficient for multi-tabling. They could also try to put some banner or at least start a support/suggestion thread on http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com EDIT: I would gladly buy some share on GLBSE.

My uncle is a fiat millionaire. He's a little bit concerned that I'm more motivated about amassing Bitcoin wealth than paper money. He's still trying to convince me that inflationary papers have more value than cryptographically signed bytes.
Be sure to let him know that portfolio diversification is not necessarily a bad thing, although I'm sure he would know that already. Yes he know that but I had to teach him how to use an iPad. The Bitcoin concept sounds like technological voodo in his ears.

Not a cage in the standard sense, but you could use fine mesh such as screen wire to get the desired effect, assuming the microwaves are in the 2.4Ghz range. For those experimenting with microwave oven parts, the recommended protection is a suit made of screen wire for your body, and a tin can with the sharp edges trimmed off and lined in soft fur to contain your man parts. Microwave cannon This thing can do cool stuff like light up fluorescent bulbs from upwards of 10 feet away. How I'm devilishly thinking on microwaving my neighbor's stereo when it's late in the night and he decides to play music to the building across the street with the windows closed... You could also kill all electronic appliance in his building. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/3890127.stm

There's almost no difference when it's written but the pronunciation isn't the same at all. Me and OP both speak french canadian.

I wonder if a portable Faraday cage would protect against microwaves. This coupled with an active anti-noise cancellation system could be an interesting addition to the anti-arrest/urban survivor vest.
