2021  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Foundation Passport Official Thread on: June 06, 2023, 10:30:57 AM
@RickDeckard, It just seemed to me that such a small number of units could be a problem in the future with regard to firmware updates, because the user base is very small and it is easy to abandon the product without making too much noise. However, the link you posted states that even the first version will continue to receive updates on a regular basis.

Quote
Additionally, though Passport Batch 2 will introduce numerous improvements, Passport Founder’s Edition will continue to receive regular firmware updates! We’re excited to keep improving your Passport experience as time goes by.

However, as for the new device, it seems that it will be even better than the previous two, so the question arises, is it worth waiting for it to become available or buying the current version? Is there somewhere an official counter of how many units have been sold so far, or how many are still available in total?

What does it matter whose wallet it is? After all, I have the dat file. all we have to do is crack the password? if this is possible i will give half of the coins inside the wallet.

Why stop at only 150 BTC when you can have thousands that are supposedly locked in lost wallets? In case you are bored and if you have extra money, you can fool yourself for the rest of your life that you are rich -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5421106.0

You should hurry up if your intention is serious as "Batch 2 is limited to 2400 units."

Is there a special reason why they decided to produce only 2400 units? This does not seem logical to me from a business perspective, especially if the demand is increased, as is the case now. Although it seems to me that I read that some new device is being prepared, so that might be the reason.

Besides having to let this account in means anybody who has waited a long time can get a second opinion as this will set precedent for everyone banned to get second opinion and get unbanned.

I think that here we should focus on what is the real problem, and that is the very justified suspicion that the BTT account in question is just one of a series of alt accounts that the OP owns or has owned, some of which have been permanently banned. Therefore, this is not about plagiarism exclusively, but the "problem" is much more layered, and if for 4 years no one felt that there was even the slightest doubt that the OP should get a second chance, then it will not happen in the next 4 years either.

Each case is a story in itself, and 99% of those who received a perma ban have long since forgotten about it and will not look for another chance.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Nations League final four ⚽ on: June 05, 2023, 02:49:44 PM
I'm surprised that bookies give that high odds on Croatia. I guess they see Netherlands playing in front of their fans like a really big advantage. It could be. But then again, if I would be betting, I would probably go with x2 because of the way Croatia tends to play these knockout games.

I'm not surprised, even if the game was played in Croatia, I think the bookies will set the odds slightly in favor of the Netherlands, or in the best case, the odds of winning would be equal. Consequently, most bookmakers give Croatia the least chance to win the League of Nations.

Everyone in Croatia knows how Modric feels about playing for the national team. I think that he will retire after the Nations league, but only he knows what is going on in his head. Knowing how Croatia played in the UEFA Euro in the past, I don't think that they can win the title so winning the Nations league would be a real crown of his career in the national team.

Past tournaments have nothing to do with the next one in Germany, which will be special because there will be tens of thousands of our fans in the stadiums and even more on the streets. Our coach emphasized several times that he can't wait to feel that atmosphere, and that will only be an additional incentive for the players to make a good result. Apart from that, playing in the semi-finals would be a great success, I don't see why only the first place should be considered a success.

Thanks for the payment and on a well-managed campaign Wink

Lmao, who else is waiting for OP to make miracles happen. 229376$ in 15 days? Hmmmm.

Some obviously think that there is at least a grain of truth in what the OP claims (or his alt accounts), although most don't pay attention to the content, but to how to just write another post in a series. I wrote my opinion in the previous post, but apparently no one cares...
2028  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] Amazon Prime Video subscription on: June 04, 2023, 02:40:47 PM
@Wapfika, be careful with your purchases and avoid US based Prime Video if you are not from the US - the reason is that you will get very limited content because you will be treated as a US user who is outside the US.
2029  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi Im trader over 12 years of experince here is my goal on: June 04, 2023, 02:14:04 PM
Has no one noticed the similarities between OP and Shortmaster? It seems to me that it is one and the same person who is just trying to sell you the same story in a different way.

If someone could make $200k+ in two weeks from $7, trust me they wouldn't be on any forum convincing anyone they can do it. The goal is actually to try, and then in any case show that he succeeded and try to sell his service to some fool who will give him as much money as possible to make millions out of them.

When someone starts his post with "Im trader over 12 years of experince" and can't even spell the word "experience" correctly, we know what kind of expert he really is.
2030  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Flush.com Signature Campaign | Hero/Legendary on: June 04, 2023, 01:51:33 PM
I saw Lucius wearing Flush signature and avatar until the campaign was paused. He only got accepted in another campaign as fast as possible.

I have not been accepted into the campaign whose signature I have, but I am only using the signature to promote my ref link (with the approval of their manager, of course).

This competition is also probably the last chance for Modric to retire with a trophy for Croatia.

The man was honest and left the door completely open on that issue, and my personal opinion is that Modric will stay for the next European Championship in Germany. I say that because I believe that he really wants the trophy from that competition, regardless of what he won with Croatia at the world championships. He is a completely different person from, say, some who left the national team, and then continued to play club football for years. In addition, he can significantly reduce the number of minutes in the game, and his presence in the team means a lot, even if he does not play.

Ivan Rakitic is an obvious example of such a player, because he can still play at a high level, but he no longer wanted to play for that national team.
2032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's Wrong with Roger Ver? ::) on: June 04, 2023, 10:53:14 AM
~snip~
The fact is that Roger Ver has done more for Bitcoin than any person stating any opinion here.

It's good to know that there are still people who consider him a kind of messiah, without whom Bitcoin would not be what it is today. I will say that I absolutely do not agree that he should be given so much credibility, regardless of the fact that he was one of the early adopters, but so was Gavin and many others who later turned out to be very naive people, to say the least.

None of us has done as much damage to Bitcoin as he has, either.
~snip~

Obviously, some don't think he has done significant damage when it comes to Bitcoin, but everyone is entitled to an opinion and it's good to share it publicly so others know how "worthless" they really are compared to people like Roger Ver.
2033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees are too high, obstacle for adoption and in general on: June 04, 2023, 10:25:44 AM
Right now you only need to pay less than $1 to proceed a BTC transaction, how it's possible you can say people are paying $30 for fee?
~snip~

The OP refers to the situation that was current at the beginning of the last month or so, and in some moments the fees were really high. This has happened before in the past, although for some different reasons than today, but the effect on the price of transactions is always the same.

What most people who think they know about Bitcoin get wrong are things like "Bitcoin is an anonymous and cheap way to transfer value", and we know that neither is correct. That's why every time things like this happen, we have those who are disappointed in the system and think that something needs to be fixed.

It's not that I'm happy (like many) that some have decided to use the BTC blockchain for their meaningless games, but at this point it should be understood that those who do it (for profit) and those who support it for extra profit (miners) are a lot stronger than developers or us mere mortals.
2034  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Flush.com Signature Campaign | Hero/Legendary on: June 04, 2023, 10:08:47 AM
I don't quite understand what's going on. Lucius is participating in another signature campaign but getting re-paid here?

I don't know what exactly you don't understand - the campaign is paused and the manager wrote the following :

The campaign has been paused for now. You can now remove the signature. I will update the sheet shortly.

I (like everyone else) got paid for last week. You'll need to spend a lot of time on the forum to become a good detective🕵
2035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $90,000 all in bet on: June 03, 2023, 01:55:04 PM
I really don't understand why the OP decided to make a bet, which I think is very risky, given that it is about France League 2, and for me it used to be a league in which very few goals were scored. I assume that it was some kind of match-fixing tip, or the OP based his assessment on the last match between these two teams, when even 6 goals were scored.

No matter how you look at it, it's stupid to go with such an amount for just one game, and if the OP had come up with a better strategy, he could have made a lot more money from those $90k.
2036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Monero terminated in Italy, along with other privacy coins on: June 03, 2023, 01:35:44 PM
~snip~

I can't imagine a situation in which Bitcoin would be destroyed (what exactly does destroyed mean?), and that some altcoin could then come as an adequate replacement that people would accept to the same extent as Bitcoin. Every decentralized cryptocurrency in the true sense of the word is actually a target, and if you just remove it from all CEXs, all that will remain is some trivial thing that will be used by a very small number of people.

The so-called privacy coins are something that will gradually disappear in all countries where there is strict crypto regulation. In my country, an official ban was not even needed, because all local CEXs just received a recommendation to remove these coins from their offer, and they simply did that a few years ago.

I have no doubt that he will create another account and continue with business as usual because for him bitcointalk is nothing but a milking cow.

Perhaps we can assume that the OP has a few more alt accounts considering that he used paraphrasing and plagiarizing methods, and such members can very easily maintain alt farms in this way. New accounts are not easy to rank, although in the specific case it was not an obstacle considering the number of merits that the OP collected.

A little more caution and additional checks before hitting the merit button would not be out of place.
2038  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you need some menthor come to me on: June 03, 2023, 10:38:58 AM
I went through the OP post history a bit and it is not difficult to conclude that this is just another in a series of those who think they can outsmart the market because they have some special skills. Specifically, if you look at this thread Im trader i only short check out my work, you can see that the OP is constantly talking about profit, even though other members present him with concrete evidence all the time that he is actually losing money.

Of course, everyone can be lucky sometimes, even a broken clock shows the correct time twice a day.
2039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's Wrong with Roger Ver? ::) on: June 03, 2023, 10:15:33 AM
Nobody cares about these stuff anymore. Ripple, which is a premined shitcoin and a security, has no right be in the list but it has been there for years anyway.

In order for you to care about something, you must first understand the difference between Bitcoin and everything else, and most people don't even understand the most important basics. As for the list (if you are referring to the marketcap), it is of course completely misleading in the sense that it leads people to think in a completely wrong way.

It is not always black and white. He surely has an interesting story. Andreas thanked him in his book and that surprised me when I saw it and he is one of the most hard core bitcoiners. Maybe RV was always like that but the community couldn't see through him or maybe he changed after some stuff happened.

As far as I'm concerned, the president of the US and the Pope of Rome can thank him, but that doesn't erase the fact that he's a devious, hypocritical and greedy bastard. Regardless of all the good you may have done in life, people will always remember the bad.

Whatever it is, the guy is still rich af and that's what counts at the end of the day I guess.

Maybe it means something to someone that he is rich, it means nothing to me personally. Even if he has ten times more money than now, does that make him a better person?
2040  Economy / Services / Re: A Plagiarism Software that Accepts Subscription in Crypto on: June 02, 2023, 02:53:41 PM
Hi everyone,

I'm searching for a good plagiarism and paraphrasing software that I can pay for with crypto. Please let me know if you know of any. Thanks.

Just to clarify what you are actually looking for - software that needs to detect that some content is plagiarized/paraphrased, or software that creates such content? I don't offer any of that, I'm just interested in what exactly you're looking for, because there are a lot of free detectors online that do the job pretty good.
