Replacing currency with USD may work for smaller countries but when it comes to a country which ranks 23rd in global list, might bring disaster.

El Salvador changed its national currency to $ 20+ years ago, and as a country that is much smaller than Argentina, I don't see that this change has transformed the country economically (for the better), although we can rightly wonder what would have happened if that they didn't do it.

Maybe the size of the country really makes a difference, although it seems to me that regardless of the fact that Argentina is one of the largest countries in the world, their problems are far more complex than which currency they would choose. In other words, if you don't have smart politicians who work for the good of the country, everything else is in vain.

How passionate are you buying Bitcoin now?

You are probably referring to this specific moment (the dip) and I understand that those who want to buy a little "cheaper" always feel something special when something like this happens, especially if they do not practice the DCA method but only buy when the dip happens. I personally believe that the best time to invest in BTC is when I estimate that the price has touched the bottom, and I believe that that moment in this cycle has already passed - although some very bad news can drop the price by 15-20% without any problems, especially at the time when demand is very low.

It would be logical for someone who understands and believes in Bitcoin to always be "excited" in some way when buys Bitcoin, of course always taking into account that what he bought does not get an unwanted owner Wink

We will see how long the new management will have patience with Biscan. If they lose against Sparta Prague, I think they will look for another coach.

Biscan is no longer a coach, and the names of possible candidates who will lead the club in the next match have already been announced. Like his predecessor Cacic, Biscan obviously did not understand what the substitutes were for, especially in moments when the rhythm of the game should be slowed down and the pressure created by the opponent should be released.

However, regardless of who will be the new coach, the departure of many key players will significantly affect Dinamo's game, which means that the championship could be much more interesting than otherwise.

Biscan won't have a chance to prove himself against Sparta Prague as he has been sacked today and I would say good riddance, the only problem is that person who is rumoured to replace him (Goran Tomic) is not much better either.

Unfortunately, the practice continues, after two bad coaches comes a third and so on indefinitely. When the famous Kjuno Jurcic Grin returns, then we will know that Dinamo has reached rock bottom.

People here in Bangladesh dream of being rich overnight. That's where the problem is.

People all over the world have similar dreams, but it is more than obvious that in some parts of the world you can deceive people much easier than in others. It is not only a question of the naivety of ordinary people, but also the obvious ineffectiveness of those who, from the position of the authorities, should protect them from becoming victims of such scams.

But on the other hand, even when governments or banks in some way limit or warn about caution when investing in such things, people mostly experience it as something negative. If we start from the fact that everyone is responsible for what they do with their money, then it is a logical conclusion that everyone should take responsibility for everything that results from such actions.

The question arises, will all these people learn something from this case, or will they be naive again when they see a new "great opportunity"?

Suspicious BATM and teller, am I paranoid or it's all normal behavior ?

Considering the part of the world where you are, I don't think you should be too surprised by the teller's behavior, because you are a foreigner in their country, and people often have prejudices when it comes to skin color or even nationality. And when it comes to transactions, you've probably just reached some kind of limit up to which you can trade without KYC, because it's similar here in the EU, they don't ask you for anything until they assess that you're suspicious.

I wouldn't worry too much about everything that happened, because what happens on vacation usually stays on vacation - for a few hundred dollars, no one in the world will ever ask you anything (probably).

This whole confusion with AI clearly shows that something is definitely wrong with people, because how else to explain the fact that more and more people think that AI should be involved in practically every part of society. I recently watched a documentary on this topic, and it was about the fact that some companies transferred the entire hiring process to AI, and later it turned out that this AI was actually racist because it did not take black people into account at all, and preferred men more but women.

Also, some public institutions such as schools in the US started evaluating their staff with the help of AI, so some professors with an impeccable career suddenly became bad and useless, which of course has nothing to do with the truth.

Wait... She's filming herself inside her car to share this information on social media? I'm not even going to click the bait, it looks like the typical social media cry for attention. And you're all giving it by watching the video.
~snip~

I don't see anything strange here, a car is a place like any other, if you have a comfortable seat and privacy, I don't see the difference that the video would be better (more serious) if by any chance it was recorded in the office. As for giving it attention, I can agree that it's kind of bad (assuming the whole thing is made up), but I prefer not to comment on something if I'm not familiar with the content.

Yeah, the video thumbnail says all to me: cry-baby for attention and donations and stupid enough to film herself while driving a car. Can't take such persons any serious. Obviously I don't want to grant that cry-baby any click or attention.
~snip~

You see, when you don't watch the video, you write something that has nothing to do with the truth - a person sits in a parked car and records a video in which she even says that she is about to go to the police station to report the whole case. I am far from claiming that she is telling the truth, but we have come to the point of accusing a person of dangerous driving in addition to possible false hacking.

Our income is set in 90% FIAT, Most companies prefer Bank transfers, I prefer Litecoin, take also other coins especially when transfer times and fees are not that huge.

If you work with companies, then you have to accept that FIAT is a standard that was set a long time ago, but that doesn't mean that some companies won't accept alternatives like Bitcoin. If you provide services on this forum, then I guess 90% of your income will be in BTC or altcoins, so it all depends on where you offer your services.

As for fees, it's rare that on-chain fees for Bitcoin are higher than usual, but if it's not about microtransactions, then no one should have a problem paying a few $ for a transaction that has a value of a few hundred $. Alternatives can always be some altcoins, even those that have a 0% fee - although one should not lose sight of the security of such transactions when it comes to the number of confirmations on the network. For Bitcoin, 1 confirmation is usually enough, while for most altcoins, this number increases significantly.

How can anyone be serious and say that 12% is something dramatic when it comes to Bitcoin? What would you call the time when it lost even 50% of its value in one day?

1372  Economy / Speculation / Re: what a surprise dip on: August 20, 2023, 09:56:22 AM

Hopefully we will quickly return to $30k judging by your expert source, because if by any chance this does not happen, I wonder what it would mean - BTC is scam or BTC is dead (again)?

Well I don't think it could be seen as scam because this has been happening overtime and we shouldn't be that quickly to judge that BTC is scam and I am not in any day putting that believe in me to say that it would be scam or having likely to be so.

Well, I didn't mean it so seriously, but somewhat sarcastically, in the sense that if Bitcoin doesn't behave the way most people expect, then some say it's a scam, and others say it's only a matter of days before it disappears. In any case, I would not recommend anyone to believe the stories of so-called experts who claim to know what will happen in 3 days, and in 99% of cases they are proven wrong.

I remember you as someone who cannot even edit his own casino platform homepage and you are looking to hire someone to fix it for you.

It seems that the OP is ready for another waste of time at his expense, because it is more than obvious that he has the desire to do something, but is very far from any serious realization. After all, no serious person would ask for advice on what to do in this way, but would do what he personally believes he can succeed in.

I wish I was wrong and that the OP would really do something good and sustainable, but considering his past project, the question arises, who would even dare to use his CEX or invest in his token?
1375  Economy / Speculation / Re: what a surprise dip on: August 19, 2023, 01:09:05 PM
I got notified few minutes ago on the sudden drop of -11 % bitcoin price and I also noticed same thing also affected other altcoin, while in a post they said of price surging within 72hrs that is to say that from now till 20 August we might see a potential Green and may cross above 30k within the next 3 days.

Hopefully we will quickly return to $30k judging by your expert source, because if by any chance this does not happen, I wonder what it would mean - BTC is scam or BTC is dead (again)?

What is possibly to happen in the market, more dip that's seeing below 20k or something similar?
And is this another sign for bear market?

BTC has been in a bear market ever since the price went down from $30k, and that's more than 1 year, so I'm not clear what new bear market you're referring to? What happened at the beginning of the year was just recovery and nothing more. I would not be surprised if the price goes below $20k, because we are in a time when there really is no reason for any positive developments. Given that September is mostly in the red (historically speaking), we can say that all options are on the table, and that the negative ones have a greater chance of being realized.

The Big Leader has once again given up his space Bitcoins, Satoshi is finally moving his stash of long-mined coins and various conspiracy theorists have resurfaced. Although some found themselves in a panic, I believe that there are many who know how to appreciate moments like this - so I have nothing against FUD continuing, and the old proverb says "who laughs last, laughs the sweetest".
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream is coming close. on: August 19, 2023, 10:08:11 AM
I know it is a big or uncommon goal to achieve considering my current income. I have a big dream of owning one Bitcoin before a certain period. So when people are bothered that the price of Bitcoin is dropping, I am seeing it as an opportunity to go closer to my dream.

One simple question for you - when you achieve your goal and have 1 BTC, do you think that will be your ultimate goal with which you will be satisfied - or will you set a new goal, maybe to have 2 BTC or maybe even 5?

I am in no way happy that the price is dropping but one Bitcoin will always be one Bitcoin, no matter the price today. If you are sure of bitcoin, you will not be concerned about the price today because the price in the future will always exceed the current price.

True, 1 BTC=1 BTC, but no one can claim with certainty that the price in the future will be higher than it is today, or than it was 1 year ago. I also believe that Bitcoin has a good future, but I also accept the possibility that everything will not go exactly as we imagined. Theoretically, in 10 years from today, the price of 1 BTC may be only slightly higher than today, and taking into account inflation, the purchasing power of the same 1 BTC may be even lower than today.

I have learned from this forum that there is no need to dump your coin because of FUD, this distraction will come and go. So I am no longer reading those blogs or social media that is promoting this this fear that will make me dump my small holding and abandon my dream. My focus is to own one Bitcoin.

It is a good decision, not only because you will not fall under their influence, but you will certainly have more time for some more useful things in life. Instead of listening to and watching various "experts", why not find another additional job and thus reach your goal even faster?
1378  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is a spot bitcoin ETF? on: August 18, 2023, 03:01:28 PM
One of those YouTubers put it well. They said spot bitcoin ETF is the government creating fake bitcoins so that they can steal and I will add control the real ones. I couldn't agree more. That is what it is, that is how I see it. In the short term it may seem to increase bitcoins price in the short term because we would see traditional investors pump in a lot of money into the crypto market but in the long term they know their end goal - "control the real bitcoins." I do not care how the big institutions try to paint it, most of us in the bitcoin community know this unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it.

It's not quite as simple as you described, because that would mean that some company like BlackRock or Fidelity agreed with the US government to provide a service to their clients that would be based on a complete lie. In other words, the SEC will approve company A to launch a spot BTC ETF, that company has already agreed in advance with another company that will do the custody of the purchased BTC, and then company A will actually issue fake shares in the fund and pretend that it bought BTC on the market.

To me personally, it does not look even remotely realistic in a country like the USA, because business there is still something very serious, and companies worth trillions of $ would not even exist if they cheated their clients in the way you describe.

Fortunately, Bitcoin cannot be faked regardless of what anyone thinks on the subject, but it can be manipulated to some extent by those who have enough power to do so. Let's remember the guys from the BTCtrash fork and their attempt to take the throne and where they are today.
1379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 18, 2023, 02:16:23 PM
Notice how we could be at 50K if it weren't for all the cunt scamming coins.

 Roll Eyes

Probably even higher if it weren't for fucking bearded apes and whatever other tripe out there.

I have asked a similar question several times in discussions about why at one point the price of BTC went towards $20k, and then towards $15k at the end of last year, and I wonder what would have happened if the hordes of blind believers had not followed scammers like De Kwon or believed that some spoiled and incompetent kid can successfully run CEX like FTX.

Before all that, the price was above $30k and I can't say now that it would be $50k today, but somehow it seems to me that it would be much closer to $35k than it is today closer to $25k.

But there's no point in crying over spilled milk, I just hope those scammers end up behind bars for a long time as an example to everyone else.
1380  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad economic situation makes bitcoins more difficult to keep. on: August 18, 2023, 01:29:43 PM
~snip~

There is no big philosophy here, if you have Bitcoin and find yourself in a situation where you need money for something, it is quite logical that you will use that Bitcoin if you have no other choice. It is not something that is exclusively related only to countries where the standard of living is low and where inflation in combination with low wages has forced people to start selling family treasures, but it is quite normal in developed countries as well.

A few years ago in my country, mini shops where gold was bought started popping up everywhere and people started selling family jewelry en masse, and I have no doubt that some are doing the same today with Bitcoin, especially if we take into account that they bought it at a much lower price. I don't see a problem here, but I see a problem when people will no longer have anything to sell, and will not be able to buy food or pay their bills.
