1541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sparrow wallet installation on: July 19, 2023, 01:26:13 PM
I would say that OP has a lot of bigger problems considering the protection it uses than the fact that this protection is causing him such problems. If you're already using W10 or any other version of that OS, at least buy yourself some respectable protection when it comes to AV or firewall.
1542  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: help please, i can't find my funds on: July 19, 2023, 01:03:21 PM
Today I couldn't remember my password (I tried the 6/7 that I usually use and none allowed me to access) and so I created a new wallet and entered the seeds I had saved.

What you wrote implies that you kept the password in your head, not on paper or in any other way that would very likely prevent something like this from happening to you. Although you most likely downloaded the fake wallet, there is a possibility that you have a keylogger or RAT (remote access trojan) on your computer and that your seed has been compromised in this way.

What happened? I've lost everything? Please help me

No one here can help you get back what was stolen from you, but you can try to report it to the police in your country, although for such a small amount they probably won't move a little finger. Let's put it this way, you paid for one life lesson, some would even say cheap, even though it may be a lot of money for you.

If you keep investing in BTC, try to figure out how things work first, or some other accident will await you sooner or later.
1543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Presidential candidate announces plan to back the US dollar with Bitcoin on: July 19, 2023, 12:38:50 PM
I'm really surprised that this news hasn't already resulted in a significant price increase because it's the presidential candidate of the most powerful country in the world Roll Eyes

Does anyone remember the last and or predecessor presidential election in the U.S. and all those candidates who played the Bitcoin card? Of course you don't remember, because they all failed completely.

If RFK happens to become president and only tries to scratch at the US dollar, the same fate as his grandfather could befall him - in that country such things are not forgiven.
1544  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is the ledger can be hackable ? on: July 19, 2023, 10:47:43 AM
~snip~
So in summary, ledger is hackable.

And not just Ledger, but most other HWs that operate on the same principle, and especially if they start acting like Ledger in a rather strange and irresponsible way. In fact, for years since the massive data leak from this company happened, trust has been lost, and if you do not have confidence in someone or something, it becomes completely irrelevant whether something can be hacked or not.

I will not say that there are no HW that do not have really high standards at the moment, but I think that in the future we should refrain from recommendations when it comes to such devices. A properly made airgapped wallet is something I would still put in the first place when it comes to safe storage of private keys.
1545  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To transfer from PayPal to Crypto Without KYC on: July 18, 2023, 02:11:39 PM
My friend is on usa and he want to send me $2000 but he have only PayPal and i have Cryptocurrency like bitcoin
He want to know is there anyway to send $ for me But Without KYC ?

Since the largest number of BTC ATMs are located in the US, your friend should withdraw funds into his bank account, then withdraw cash and find an ATM where to buy BTC without KYC. If you send him your BTC address (in the form of a QR code) then the purchased BTC will come directly to your address.

1546  Other / Meta / Re: The problems newbies face on: July 18, 2023, 01:59:50 PM
Normally newbies who just join this forum are been attacked by those that have been here for long and secondly the rules and guidance and where to post and not to post and gaining merit .

Maybe because you pretend that there are no rules or you think that the forum is a company that needs to hire you on the first day and give you a salary because a friend convinced you of it and that's why you actually came here?

Since you've only written 15 posts so far, and some of those posts seem like a combination of plagiarism&paraphrasing. Example 1 and 2
1547  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 18, 2023, 01:42:46 PM
I'm sure it's not the same in all countries around the world. I just googled about Germany and France:
~snip~

You can hardly comfort someone with this data, because even if this data is accurate (which I doubt) the actual data is far more negative and everyone who lives in those countries knows it. I compared the prices from last year with the prices this year because I keep my bills from everything I buy, and the price increases range from 20% to above 100% for some items.

Of course, the aggravating circumstance is that since the beginning of the year my country has joined the eurozone, and this has proven to be a catastrophic move combined with inflation. Those who have been or will go this year on holidays in the Adriatic Sea will feel it on their wallets.
1548  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - The road to a SIX DIGIT price valuation on: July 18, 2023, 09:48:59 AM

But how high is the threshold before it truly becomes concerning? More than 80%? 90%? Bitcoin is a limited resource and there's twelve out of twenty of the biggest investment banks and asset managers in the world that wants to gain custody of Bitcoin in some form.

Altogether they control TRILLIONS of wealth.

It's probably why Bitcoin developer Peter Todd has currently been saying that he's open to the idea of an inflationary cryptocurrency.

It is important to emphasize "in some form", which means that all those who provide futures trading services are not directly related to Bitcoin, while everyone else, regardless of all those trillions of dollars, will still invest only small percentages directly in BTC, and it is also important to emphasize that BTC is not the only thing they are interested in when it comes to cryptocurrencies.

The question you're asking therefore doesn't have any concrete answers because we can only speculate on how much money will really go towards Bitcoin, and whether at some point Bitcoin will become a game only for big guys. However, all of us who have been with Bitcoin for a long time have one big advantage over all these institutions, and that is that we have long understood what Bitcoin is, and they are just beginning to understand it.

I hope that regardless of the price that may be formed in the future, some people will not agree to sell their BTC, even for very tempting amounts that will be offered to them. After all, our strength is in numbers, millions against ten or twenty companies - I think we have a chance.
1549  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 18, 2023, 09:27:00 AM
~snip~
How are you guys pulling it through with this inflation?

As with all other challenges that arise in front of you, and that means that you have to find a way to overcome them or adapt to them. The fact is that ordinary people are unfortunately left to fend for themselves, and that means that you have to find some extra source of income and you have to change your lifestyle.

Replace more expensive products with cheaper ones, reduce all unnecessary expenses (cinema, restaurants, expensive clothes...) use public transport or bicycle more and if you have some money left at the end of the month try to invest it wisely. Of course, all this is not easy and you will not see the results overnight, but if you want to stay on the surface you have to swim with all your strength or you will sink sooner or later.

Why non-trader beginners prefer to leave their BTC on CEX?

I think that one of the most important reasons is that at any time they want to have the opportunity to sell, and sometimes at times when the price rises 10% or more it is not possible to react quickly and make a profit - and that is all that matters for most. In addition, the great leader CZ concluded in his great and wise statement that 99% of all users will sooner or later lose their coins if they keep them in a non-custodial wallet - and when the leader speaks, the subjects listen and obey the commands.

When you have a "friend" like that, you don't really need enemies.
1551  Other / Meta / Re: CF keeps banning tor connection on: July 17, 2023, 01:24:54 PM
It's amazing that in the 21st century with all the advances of technology, we have no alternative to CF. The paradox is that the forum can only function normally if it uses the services of someone who from the very beginning fights against everything Bitcoin stands for.
1552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Are Not Nerdy Enough on: July 17, 2023, 12:47:33 PM
Economies grow through spending and investment, so I am doing my best to encourage people to spend their bitcoins through virtual marketplaces and other channels. A few weeks ago I gave a local charity in my area a bitcoin paper wallet with 10 Bitcoins. I later found out that they threw it in the trash thinking it's some kind of prank or scam. This was a facepalm moment for me. Those bitcoins are now locked on the blockchain forever, because without a private key, there is no way to ever access them. (Unless someone finds the paper wallet in the trash? How likely is that? )

No one will take what you've written seriously, because you're a beginner on this forum and you haven't provided any proof that you did something like that - and who gives someone $300 000 today without explaining exactly what they're giving away? There are isolated communities of people who don't understand the concept of money, and if someone gave them a bag full of bills they would use them to light a fire or maybe find them some other use.

Next time you want to throw 10 BTC in the trash contact me - rest assured that every satoshi will be used for good purposes Wink
1553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Are Not Nerdy Enough on: July 17, 2023, 10:31:39 AM
Yes, I am complaining that people are not nerdy enough. It's been 14 years since Satoshi published his white paper and the vast majority of people still don't understand what Bitcoin is and how to use it. Sure there are many people buying Bitcoin on crypto exchanges and speculating on it.

Although I agree that the vast majority of people who have heard about Bitcoin do not understand what this is really about, it is also a fact that most of those who own it do so only for possible profit. Who do you think is the bigger problem? Those who do not understand BTC, or those who know well what it is about, but have never used it as a currency?

However, the average guy on the street that I speak to, and even many people on crypto forums still don't understand Bitcoin's potential as a virtual commodity, or it's potential to create an alternative to Fiat economies. Maybe the problem is deeper than just a lack of understanding about the technology? Maybe it's a lack of understanding about economics as a whole? How many people are economists?

I think the problem is deeper and goes back a long way when humans became slaves to the system, and today, unfortunately, they have turned into robot slaves who don't really want anything other than a bank card and a 4-digit pin. For such people, Bitcoin is simply unnecessary and too complicated, and they see it exclusively as a way to eventually profit - although most are not ready to invest in the long term because they still suspect that it is some kind of internet fraud that can collapse at any moment.

My advice is not to get frustrated with such things, because humans are truly unique beings who are the only ones on this planet who consciously work against themselves in every possible way they can invent.

Use Ctrl+Shift+L to get a New Tor circuit for this site.
~snip~

Or simply click on the icon next to the padlock in the address bar and select "New Tor circle for this site", and above are also all the data about the server locations to which someone is connected at that moment.

Currently i'm writing this reply from Tor Browser without CF annoy me in any way.
~snip~

I also confirm that everything is working properly for me, and maybe the problem OP is experiencing has to do with its location and a specific CF server?
1555  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - Premium Bitcoin Mixer | Launched in 2018 🛡️ on: July 17, 2023, 09:40:46 AM
What I noticed is that there is no special page for free mix, and this may confuse some users since the final page contains the following warning "Please send your bitcoins (min 0.003, max 50 BTC) to the address".
If you visit the home page (https://[banned mixer]/), you will see it. I think the reason you don't see it is that the forum signature links for some profiles show use this (https://[banned mixer]/?mix=free)

I think you misunderstood me, because obviously you haven't tried the free mix option, because when you get the BTC address for the deposit you get the following warning :

If the only correct amount for a free mix is exactly 0.001 BTC, then this warning can only confuse those people who do not pay attention to the details. Obviously, the amount of 0.003 BTC is completely wrong whether it is free or minimum amount for the mix.
1556  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to hack a blockchain? on: July 16, 2023, 12:45:03 PM
~snip~
Consider this. in order to hack a bank, you must first gain access to the bank vault. This is difficult, but it is just one point of failure.

Banks can be robbed without going directly to the vault, because some of the money is kept in what you might call "hot drawers". In addition, the bank can be hacked in a way that you hack into their system and start emptying their clients' accounts - or you don't even have to do any of that, it is enough to collect information from bank cards and then with fake cards to withdraw cash at ATMs. When you take all this into account, it turns out that it is far easier to "hack" a bank, and very difficult to hack a serious system like Bitcoin blockchain.

Of course people are confused and ask questions like OP, but blockchain is a general term, and the fact that some blockchains have been hacked just means that some people and their projects were nowhere near the level of security that Bitcoin has.
1557  Economy / Speculation / Re: $31450 proves too strong for Buyers, but Sellers may only dominate below $29400 on: July 16, 2023, 10:04:09 AM
A similar situation has been seen many times in the past, and as if it were yesterday I remember 2015 and how the price was stuck between $200 and $250 and everyone was waiting for something to happen since it was also the year that preceded halving. If memory serves me well by the end of the year (2015), the price reached about $1000 and few were optimistic enough to predict what followed.

The feeling tells me that we will have to wait a little longer for the right action, because summer is really hellish in the Northern Hemisphere and I think this year will break all temperature records☀🌡
1558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Former Celsius CEO Alex Mashinsky reportedly arrested on: July 16, 2023, 09:33:01 AM
I don't know why people are so emotionally attached to some "important" people from the crypto world as if it depends on them whether there will be Bitcoin tomorrow or not (and that's all that matters)? I honestly don't care if CZ and his company last another hundred years or if they will fail tomorrow, but I am aware that many see in him some kind of crypto messiah who is struggling with the system and enabling anyone who wants to free themselves from the shackles of financial slavery.

I and some others like OP do not see it that way and we have the full right to express our opinion, and the forum exists to discuss and exchange opinions. All those CEOs who have messed up badly in recent years have never cared about you, me or anyone other than themselves and a narrow circle of people around them - don't think that those who are not yet behind bars have different intentions.
1559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 16, 2023, 09:06:25 AM

I just wonder are the SEC gonna approve the Bitcoin ETF since Black rock is number 1 the world's largest asset managers

Maybe the reason won't be because they're so powerful, but because they just play by the rules others have written for them. If we take into account their position when it comes to forks, it is possible that at some point they (BR) will launch some new fork and claim that their BTC is the right one - and will most then side with them because they are so powerful, or will they show them the middle finger as was the case with BTC Trash (bch)?

BREAKING News 🚨

CHINA MIGHT LEGALISE CRYPTO & #BITCOIN  BUSINESSES SOON : EXPERTS

and who are these experts?

I will pay those experts for the news, bring them.

Maybe @proudhon got in touch with his Chinese sources again and they gave him a well-kept secret Roll Eyes

If you ask me all this speculation with China regarding Bitcoin stems from all those articles about how HSBC Bank introduced the possibility of trading with BTC in Hong Kong, of course the thing is called BTC ETF futures.
