2041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐️Share Your Winnings Story. Why do people gamble?⭐️ on: August 07, 2022, 10:22:22 PM
Well, it is a challenge for me to see if I can beat the house..... so far I have dumped thousands of Dollars into casinos and the casinos have come out on top. It is very entertaining to burn some time.... and to watch bets paying off with huge multipliers when I actually win something.

I used to win some good Jackpots with a Slot called, "Mount Magmas" but people have exploited the Jackpot system, so they disabled it. You can still play it, but the huge daily Jackpots has been disabled.  Sad
Beating the house is always challenging i think, as there will always thrills and excitement while playing, but in the end, it’s mostly us that were  beaten and the house always takes the win. However, it’s always good to keep on coming back to gambling because aside of the fund and entertainment, there’s always this positive side of us that always hopes and aims to win the jackpot prize and be instantly rich one of these days. Well, it’s not bad to  have high hopes, as long as we don’t gamble because of too much addiction.
2042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Tips To Aide Successful Sports Betting. on: August 07, 2022, 09:59:03 PM
Always go back to basics. Learned that from Kobe Bryant.
There will be a time when we think we are like pros in sports gambling but that is not true. I don't think there's someone who can become a pro at it. Times of losing will happen and its inevitable.
The basics though will help out as long as you know how to settle down your ego.
Been there, had a long streak of winning and after that a long streak of losing too. Because I forgot to go back to the basics doing analysis everyday and checking rosters and injuries. I thought I will do good even without it.
Gambling is a game of chance and luck and there is no such person that who gets to be always lucky everytime he play gambling. So its hard to expect winning in all betting odds, some are just meant for losses as it always comes inevitably. Whether you play your best sports and you have wide knowledge and understanding about it, the fact that you are gambling, means that you can't still hold its future results. There may be successful bettors in sports betting, but believe me they also lose tons of money before they succeed.
2043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you stop gamble if your girl friend insists ? on: August 07, 2022, 09:44:20 PM
If she is the type you are honest with and consider to be your wife. She noticed that gambling is not helping you is the reason. If you are a working class, you can just use 5% of your weekly income or less to gamble. If you use more than that and you are becoming an addict, best to quit.
Maybe your girlfriend had noticed that you are already becoming a slave to gambling, the reason why she insisted to make you quit from gambling. However, if you let her know that you are only gambling in moderation, and you only use your extra money to have fun and being entertained, I guess that could also help. Gambling is good when not abused, but you have to also respect your girlfriend if she has good intentions why she is insisting it.
2044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling winnings tax in the USA on: August 07, 2022, 09:23:16 PM
so recently I saw a news circling around the internet regarding someone from the US winning the lottery jackpot worth $1.28Billion, but then several days later, I saw this article. apparently the winner of the Lotto jackpot will only get $433.7M after the total amount of winnings is taxed. it's ridiculous how the government got more money from the lotto jackpot than the actual winner. I know that $433.7 million is still a lot of money but it is still disheartening how $800 million was taken away due to tax.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/robertwood/2022/07/30/winning-128-billion-lottery-ticket--gets-4337-million-after-tax/?sh=5582ea32028d

If it has been adopted as a law in the US, then no one can go against it. After all, I have known through research that US taxation is quite high compared to other countries like Mexico and Colombia. However, they also have standards that if you are rich, you will have to pay high taxes compared to average people. With this lottery jackpot prize, the winner still have no right to complain as he will always be taxed because of his winning huge amount prize, and the fact that it comes as only a bonus for him.
2045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for best casino on: August 07, 2022, 08:52:16 PM
Scroll through the gambling section of the forum(ps its the section you posted this thread in) and you will find many different casinos that are reputable. Avoid 1xbit/1xbet if you like money.
Both have bad reputations so don’t try to engage in it, otherwise you’ll not make any money at all. Well, if you want for best and reputable casinos that you can rely, and which will best fit for you, always do a good research first, that way you will know which casinos have good images that you can start trusting as a newbie. However, by scrolling the gambling boards too, you will also discover and learn which casinos are most trusted and are mostly played by a lot of newbies and old players.
2046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do whales keep their massive amounts of bitcoin? on: August 06, 2022, 11:24:31 PM
Do they use cold wallets for it like everyone else? If so, do they keep everything in one wallet or do they split the bitcoin into several different wallets?

Let's say 1/3 in Trezor, 1/3 in Ledger, 1/3 in BitBox02? I'm currently trying to transfer my bitcoin from an exchange to a cold wallet for the first time, but I'm wondering if it's safe to keep everything in one wallet from one company.
It would be safer if you split it into different wallet, regardless if its hardware or coldware, as long as you keep them safe and private all their seed phrases. Storing all your assets in just a single wallet is more risky, once your account is hack or stolen, all your assets will be lost too. It’s like diversifying your investments into crypto, stocks or bonds, the more you diversify, the more secure your profits are. As long as you never go wrong into putting all your investments profits, it will always be safe and secured.
2047  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking profits vs holding long term? on: August 06, 2022, 10:54:29 PM
Just wondering what everyone else does? Do you take profits along the way and if so at what point? Or do you just invest to hold long term?
From my experience, the best is taking profit to retrieve your initial capital back.

Then, if you still believe in what you are holding, you can keep holding it and wait for higher price. Fortunately, with this approach, even if the worst happens, you will not lose any cent of your initial capital. With good scenario, you can have x5, x10 in profit.
It’s not a bad idea to sell if you see your are profiting already, knowing the fact that you are also aiming to buy back at a lower bitcoin price. However, we still don’t know yet if bitcoin price will drop more or will eventually starts surging. That’s why most of us here still prefer hodling and only start selling when they think they can already gain maximum profits. Although we have different timeframe when to sell, but it’s best to sell only when the market has turn into bullish because that means bitcoin is definitely is in another peak price.
2048  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC make a new high in 2022? If not then what will be peak point? on: August 06, 2022, 09:59:06 PM
As we see BTC make a lower of this year round about 17K$. Now BTC is consistently moving around 22-24K$. Many big whales buy BTC of worth of 10M$ and much more. Big whales are investing for long term and thinking about it will make a newer high. A newer high will be in the end of this year and next few years. A new higher will not be formed in the end of this year.

My opinion is peak point of BTC in this year will be above 50K$. A good opportunity for Buyers. Your opinion will be acknowledged.
No one holds what will be the future price of bitcoin but I always believe that bitcoin is always bound to create peaks and high value in the future. But to be honest, I’m not expecting this year’s reasonable peak price, instead I’m more convinced that bitcoin will surge to its new ATH the following year. Although we can always expect for price recovery for bitcoin, but seeing it at a new heights like $50k or above, it seems less possible for me.
2049  Economy / Economics / Re: You don't earn money only from others, but also when you avoid spending your own on: August 06, 2022, 09:48:01 PM
Usually people get anxious and frenetic for new sources of income, to find new jobs, so they can maximize their patrimony as soon as possible, but many of them forget you don't accumulate wealth only when receiving money or being paid by others for a work. We can also decrease our expenses and stop third-partying tasks we can do ourselves, so at the end of a monthly cycle we will have earned more money to invest and make it grow overtime.

People create so many worthless fixed expenses nowadays. It can be monthly subscriptions of services they barely use, eating out too often, purchasing superfluous clothes, accessories and items in general just for vanity towards the society. Sometimes people have all the tools they need on their hands to finish a solid building, however, since they don't know how to use them properly, it will look like they constantly need more and more tools indefinitely.
It takes hard for people to realize that money is not gain through jobs or investments only, but also for having good discipline to earn by focusing on what is needed and get rid of those that are not essentials. Earning is one first step to save penny for future use. However, I believe that you could earn more and save more if you also have stable job or good investments that can provide you another source of income. That way, you will attain financial independence faster and easier.
2050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need Advice on Purchasing Bitcoin (not financial advice) on: August 06, 2022, 09:27:54 PM
If it was your sister would you buy it now and gift it down the road out of love or would you take the hard stance?

It depends greatly on the relation with the sister. Even more, that relation can change over time. So I will not give a direct answer.

However, as stated, she has kids, she is clearly not doing great, and you know that the main rule is to invest only you afford to lose.
I will add that even if you award her bitcoin and you teach her everything, she may try to sell when she gets into deeper hardship or she sees the price falling and gets scared.

Maybe you make a plan and give her the access to those bitcoins when the kids get to a certain age when she needs/they need more money for their education. So you'll make a present not for her, but for your nephews. It can sort out your dilemma.
If you are in doubt gifting your sister with bitcoin, then just save them for your nephews, that way it will be more valuable. However, I also understand your sister as being a single mother is hard, raising his two kids from his own sweat and hardwork. But still, if she is really determined to save so she can invest in bitcoin, regardless of the amount, she can always do it no matter how small her income. Gifting her is not wrong, but those bitcoin will be more useful for her kids’ bright future.
2051  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Here is why they say to store your seed "offline" on: August 05, 2022, 09:58:44 PM
Storing all your important documents online will never be safe in the first place. The fact that you might give others the chances to access to your own important documents, that would be the start of being in danger as you might not recover them suddenly and lose everything what you have been safekeeping the whole time. Not your keys, not your coins. So don’t wait to happen it for you, always take caution in everything you do. It’s best to store them offline, at least you don’t have to worry if it will be hacked or not.
2052  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't sit on your hands on: August 05, 2022, 09:44:18 PM
It might take a while for the bitcoin price to drop to that price and, likely, it won't drop that far.
So we also have to think about whether the situation is likely to happen or whether it will happen in the future so that we can decide when to buy.
I agree that the best strategy is to use the DCA method, where we buy at a low price to accumulate more bitcoins.
This can also help us to be able to benefit from each subsequent increase.
There’s always no guarantee as to what price comes next, if there will be a sudden price increase or decline, so if you just wait and do nothing, you might end up missing new opportunity to buy bitcoin at a good price. This is why a lot prefer to do DCA while waiting for the best price to buy. At least, if your expectation does not happen, then you won’t be regretting around and blame yourself why you never make such a good move that time.
2053  Economy / Economics / Re: Henan Bank decides to use citizens money for investment on: August 04, 2022, 09:51:46 PM
Imagine a situation where you have worked for your money and put in the bank but at the end of the day can't access them simply because your government decided that it would be the best fund to cater for development of the country!! That's the rude awakening citizens of the Henan village of China got.

upload pictures free

In a bid to scare protesters away, People's Liberation Army tanks were put in front of the banks as the protesters were reluctant to leave the bank premises, furious that the bank had decided to turn their savings to "government investment".
The use of tanks is quite similar to the case of the June 4, 1984 incidence at Tiananwen Square where students where killed while protesting for better freedom and democracy.
With such a big issue trailing the government and banks, it would be safe to say that they have nothing to offer and are no longer trustworthy and once this is lost, citizens tend to look for other sources.

This was probably what Satoshi saw and decided to create Bitcoin, because the integrity of banks will be compromised as technology evolved and they  will try to cover all their tracks.
With China not in support of Bitcoin hence individuals would have switched over to it, so how do they manage to guard against such an incidence repeating itself? https://www.india.com/business/video-china-deploys-tanks-after-top-bank-declares-peoples-money-investment-products-5526988/
Well, knowing China, they are known to be great manipulator most especially with their own citizens. This is the reason why centralized banks should not be considered as the best place to put our hard-earned money because it will be used by them for their own motives in the long run. This Henan Bank should serve as an eye opener that banks will mostly create the same fate with this. As much as possible, we should have our own wallet with bitcoin because that's the only solution not to fall for the traps put in the banks.
2054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be running in your mind if Bitcoin reaches $1000 again on: August 04, 2022, 09:27:28 PM
Bitcoin has gained so much popularity and recognition in the past few years that it rose from nominal prices to almost $69000 in 2020. It however gained hundreds of billions of dollars in capitalization over the years. The situation has changed with both appraisals/approvals and backlashes on the cryptos by some countries, especially government officials.

Inflation is another problem, and they have successfully caused Bitcoin to remain at lower levels compared to its all-time peak of almost $69000. Its market capitalization today is a little above $454 billion, which is still a good value. However, in events that more backlashes and higher inflation negatively affect the crypto some more and finds itself at about $1000. What would be your reaction? Will you turn your back on Bitcoin or has your investment just begun on it?

As for me, my investment has just begun. I have learnt from my past mistake.
Bitcoin has always been a good asset in the crypto market, so if its price drops drastically, then there’s no reason to doubt but always give our best shot on making a maximum purchase at that certain value. Bitcoin price won’t keep the same the whole time, so while the price is still very affordable, let’s grab the chance and take advantage on the best opportunity that comes. Bitcoin is the best gem in this market, so no need to question about its sudden price drop.
2055  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading really worth it? on: August 01, 2022, 07:42:38 PM
Can I have a precise and constructive answer on whether trading is really worth spending time on? My brother wants to do this job for a living, and I'm just curious if it's a dignified, worth-spending occupation. I don't know where to ask, I don't understand technical analysis; when he explains it to me I feel it's some sort of gambling strategy.

I've used to read experts' discussions, papers, books and the like, but I find no such stuff on trading. It's a very vague term anyway. Are there really people who just "buy low and sell high", making a living by just doing that? I can't comprehend how can a person seriously make a living by something that looks complete gambling, instead of providing goods, services, work etc.
Trading will mostly fall into complete gambling if you only see it as another rich-quick scheme. While gamblers have the greed for money, traders are more on passion and skills, and good strategies that will give them future profits. Although the end part is still to gain a living, but the process are different. And most likely, trading with skills and proven strategies will never go into waste and will always bring huge profits in the table.
2056  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: August 01, 2022, 07:09:48 PM
Gambling is life itself. No life no gambling and no gambling no life they go together. We gamble in our everyday life, meaning the decisions we take in the way we want things to be done is gambling especially in what we don't have much idea on. Sometimes when we make the wrong decision it affects us negatively. Even Jesus Christ garment was use to cast lots to see which of the soldier will keep it.
A person can live even if there's no gambling but gambling can't live if there are no people to play it. But that's impossible since there are too many gamblers all across the world. But to connect it in our daily lives, well, you've the point that most of our lives are a gamble and we have to make choices and take those risky bets which means to take decisions that we don't know if it'll win someday or not with our future.
The fact that gambling has already been established even in our ancient times, then there’s no escaping in it anymore. We would see gamblers in all corners of the world, and some are pros while others are still newbies. However, in life, people would always fall into gambling if they don’t know the proper approach to make. But for people who have proven strategies and skills to win, they will always tend to live life easier and more profitable despite of life’s uncertainties.
2057  Economy / Gambling / Re: My list of good crypto casinos on: August 01, 2022, 06:49:57 AM
I don’t know any of these casinos. You mentioned in your website.

You should probably add freebitco.in, playbetr, primedice and stake.com there because these are the best casinos I  know. There are others too of course but I can’t remember their names now.

Maybe your favorite casinos should promote their services in this forum so more people will know about them.

OP must have shared some not so popular casinos that for most of us, they are not trustworthy. It’s certainly a risk of time and money if we play in casinos that are not as reputable as we think, although you have proven OP that they can be trusted since they have already existed in 20 years. However, it’s never a bad idea if we put a minimal amount and let’s see if they can meet our expectations and can be trusted.
2058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 01, 2022, 06:21:53 AM
Well, it seems to me that the fight will take place anyway, maybe it's just an attempt to create an intrigue to attract audience interest, nothing more, but why is there so little hype around, maybe Showtime is not showing proper interest here.
Little hype? I don't think so, I believe the moment they will officially announce this fight, those tickets will be sold out easily. This is an anticipated fight, so I believe everyone will be eager to pay and watch this through PPV.
The fight is already close and become a done deal almost, hopefully it will take place somewhere in november. You maybe feeling a little hyped but those who were avid supporters of these two legends will definitely be running in a line just to avail the tickets once out in the market. Just wait until this news spread out and definitely, it will become one of the hot topics.
2059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: August 01, 2022, 05:49:10 AM
I'll just go with the higher reward  Grin and it isn't bad as a bet since Campa has a good record even though someone is saying he only fights B-grade boxers but an upset win is real  Grin.  I think this odds will readjust so better put a bet while it is up.

Same here, high reward that could go up to 10+ boosting your odds, I think Campa could pull an upset. Lopez coming from a loss, maybe that would still affect him in this fight and he might struggle again. Watching his fight highlights (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYpUKfIY0hA), this guy could really box and he is very aggressive.
That's really enticing. If you can spare a decent amount of your money to Campa and things went in your favor, that's really a big win. Though Lopez is on his mission to come back and be noticed again from this sport, we can say that bookies really seeing that the possible outcome will be favoring Lopez.

We don't know what will happen after. The chance is still equal to boxing, always accompanied by upset and surprise results.

It's your own take, risky gamblers will love this one, a big time profit when underdog upset the heavy favorite.
Both have been doing great in their boxing careers but it’s a clear manifestation that Campa had impressive performances than Lopez. Lopez will most likely the underdog here but let’s see if this underdog will be able to beat Campa in the finals. We will then know by august 13 who will show unbreakable records in the ring and end up being undefeated.
2060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos You're Playing That Are not On This Forum on: August 01, 2022, 05:18:51 AM
I don't play at casinos that aren't on this forum because I don't want to risk anything bad going on.
If I was playing at a casino out of this forum and it turned out to something that I do not want to, I don't know what I would do.
Maybe I could have reported it to Customer Support at the casino but either it will be responded to or will be left alone.
But if the casino is on this forum, I can contact their representative to report my problem in addition to contacting their Customer Support.
That’s one fact that I mostly avoid playing in casinos that are not seen in this forum. You can’t ask about its feedbacks because aside from not having its ann  thread, the members here are mostly not knowledgeable about it. Whether you’ll report it or not, you’re left nothing with a choice once they don’t care not to address your problem. So to be more secured, prefer to play in casinos that are connected in this forum.
